Urban heat island due to urbanization is getting serious every year, and the damage also increasing. And cooling effect by green space became one of the solutions. In this study, the effect of reducing ambient temperature according to the topographical characteristics of urban park green areas was analyzed. To this end, the surface temperature of Seoul was established through satellite imagery, and the green area of the park was extracted and the temperature analysis of the buffer area around the green area was performed. In addition, by analyzing green spaces with similar environments, the effect of ambient temperature reduction according to the topographical elements of green areas was analyzed. As a result, it was found that the ambient temperature reduction effect increased as the altitude range, volume, and slope of the green area increased. This is expected to affect not only topographical factors but also wind corridor creation policies at the level of urban planning when creating parks in the future.
