The Role of the Design Equipment Features in Projecting the University Educational Environment

The article presents the results of a functional sociological study of the design features of equipment for the educational environment of the university. The analysis of publications and directly university space of interiors testifies to the existence of a certain contradiction between the existing socio-technical environment of the university and the necessary equipment for the developmental education of students – of future designers. The problem arising from this discrepancy is the change in the object content of the medium by filling it with new equipment. The study was conducted by the team of teachers and students who, on the one hand, are active consumers, and on the other hand, they are given the opportunity to implement the most progressive ideas.Based on the general characteristics of the architectural environment equipment, its typology and the connection of all environmental components, we have chosen different premises of the university. For each of them, a list of equipment was compiled, features were formulated, and only then was the design carried out. One of the main design features that was taken into account when designing equipment was shaping, which not only considered the functional purpose and ergonomic convenience, but also implemented an emotionally-oriented approach. In the course of the functional-sociological research, the main criteria for evaluating equipment for the educational environment of public institutions were selected, the main requirements and design features were determined. In this paper, we have described: a hypothesis, a research model, a goal and objectives, and ways to achieve them, to obtain an effective result. Research methods are based on a comprehensive study of theoretical and design materials to identify the features of equipment design and the content of the educational environment based on the functional-structural methodology. Showing the students’ project proposals on the organization of the educational environment of NMSTU.

РЕАЛІЗАЦІЯ КОМУНІКАТИВНОГО МЕТОДУ НАВЧАННЯ НА ЗАНЯТТЯХ З УКРАЇНСЬКОЇ МОВИ ЯК ІНОЗЕМНОЇ (НА МАТЕРІАЛІ ЗАНЯТТЯ «НАША РОДИНА»)

In the article presents a system of methodical work on the formation of communicative skills in foreign medical students while studying the topic «My Family». The content of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language is outlined, peculiarities of mastering oral and written forms of language are analyzed. It has been proved that the formation of the Ukrainian language competence of foreign students is based on language training, which at the initial stage of language learning involves free fluency in vocabulary. The necessity to study the main aspects of studying the topic «My Family», aimed at finding the best means and methods to meet the basic communicative needs of students in everyday and educational and professional spheres (mastering linguistic and speaking skills and developing communication skills and topical for service in the Ukrainian language environment). The basic aspects of forming of communicative and skills skills will help to optimize the process of education of foreign students in higher education institutions of Ukraine and can be used in the further development of new methods of assessing the level of professional training of future medical professionals. Provided special educational equipment and innovative approaches to the study of the Ukrainian language. Development a system of exercises aimed at enriching the vocabulary of foreigners development of oral and written, monologue and dialogical speech, improving skills from all types of speech activities. The author’s method of mastering the material, aimed at the optimal selection of ways to improve the efficiency of the lesson, is described. Methodical recommendations are given for the development of a medical profile of foreign students in the medical profile of dialogue.

A laboratory for teaching process control: The wastewater treatment plant

Laboratory experiments offer one way to introduce more realism in education and play a key role for the acquisition of practical skills, especially in engineering. This paper addresses the development of an equipment to teach fundamentals of industrial process control engineering mainly for undergraduate courses at the University of Extremadura. The laboratory consists of the DELTALAB–COSIMI wastewater treatment plant SP244, which is controlled by a CompactRIO-9014 high-performance real-time embedded controller, a kind of programmable logic controller of National Instruments. Learning objectives and a summary of students activities carried out in the laboratory lessons are given to illustrate the possibilities of use of this equipment for teaching of industrial process control.

Investigating high school students’ perceptions and presences under VR learning environment

ABSTRACT Recently, Virtual Reality (VR) has developed rapidly. Some studies propose that VR has a great deal of potential as an instructional media for learning, while other studies indicate that VR may be ineffective or even negatively influence learners’ learning experience. Few studies provide reference to educators or teachers based on empirical data. This study investigates 55 10th-grade learners’ perceptions and presences in a VR-based blended learning environment. A research framework based on social presence theory and the Community of Inquiry model (CoI) was adopted in order to study social presence, teaching presence, and cognitive presence of learners in a VR-based practical, blended learning environment. The research findings are as follows: (1) VR enhanced learners’ perception of the teaching equipment and the classroom, social presence, teaching presence. (2) VR-based blended learning can have a positive effect on the interest, attention, and interaction of learners. (3) For transferring well-structured knowledge, there is no significant difference between traditional instructional media and VR. But for transferring ill-structured knowledge, VR is more effective at promoting learning than traditional instructional media. In general, VR-based learning environments can positively affect students’ perceptions and presence.

Management analysis of workshop equipment and laboratory in vocational education

This study aims to determine the management of workshop and laboratory equipment in vocational education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects were the head of the department, the head of the workshop, the lecturer and the workshop technician. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the workshop equipment management, namely: Workshop equipment planning carried out through several stages of the procedure: the needs analysis based on the curriculum, determine the priority scale, and determine the budget. This plan involves all personnel in the organizational structure. In the workshop, there are some activities done: preparation of materials and equipment, equipment lending, and use of the workshop. Preparation of practice materials is carried out at the beginning of each semester by following the existing curriculum. Equipment lending is carried out by providing equipment lending cards that are filled out before and after practice. Supervision of equipment in the workshop was controlled by a lending card and equipment usage as well as checking equipment before and after practice. The final results of this supervision will be in the form of an annual report given to the school as an evaluation for future planning.

With the continuous development of multimedia and speech teaching laboratory in colleges and universities, and the application of digital processing technology, digital voice teaching equipment is attracting more and more attention from domestic universities and instrument manufacturers. Based on the core technology of ARM and DSP dual core technology, the theoretical analysis of digital language learning system is carried out, and the student terminal circuit and teaching software system are designed in detail, and the function and technical index of the whole system are tested. The test results show that the digital speech learning system constructed by the student terminal controlled by ARM and DSP binuclear is fully satisfied with the actual language teaching requirements.

Практико-центрический подход как стимул повышения мотивации будущих музыкантов-педагогов к проектной деятельности

The article reveals the author’s approach to the implementation of project activities in the context of the university music and pedagogical education. The focus is on the problem of forming a positive emotional and value attitude of future musicians and teachers to project activities in the process of information and communication technology training. According to the author, an effective incentive in this regard is the disclosure of individual, personal and social significance of the development of such projects in the form of multimedia educational resources. It is emphasized that one of the most effective methods that stimulate the formation of a positive attitude of students to their creation is the installation on the subsequent use of the developed resources as educational and methodological equipment in professionally oriented disciplines for university training future musicians­teachers, as well as their implementation by students in their professional activities in the field of music education. As an example of the results of the development of such projects, the author describes the content of one of the multimedia educational resources aimed at studying music of the baroque era in the university music and pedagogical education and in the system of general and additional music education.

Assessment of the availability of Facilities and Equipment Influencing the Implementation of Secondary School Physical Education Curriculum in Nigeria

Curriculum implementation in Secondary Schools in Nigeria focuses on the success of that process of putting curriculum in action for achieving the set goals. The purpose of this study was to assess the availability of facilities and equipment influencing secondary schools physical education curriculum in Nigeria. Survey research design (Ex- post facto) was used for this study. To achieve this, purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples from the Six {6} Geo-political zones and the respondents consisted of heads of Physical Education Teachers in the Public and Private Secondary Schools. The population of the study was all secondary schools comprising fifty four thousand Five hundred and twenty- one (54,521) students with sample size of Six hundred and fifty-six (656). The data collected were statistically analysed by using inferential statistics of One Sample t- test to test the hypothesis. The results of the findings showed that Physical Education facilities and equipment influence the implementation of secondary schools Physical Education curriculum in Nigeria with t- Cal of 3.170 and P val of 0.031. The researcher recommended that Federal Ministry of Education in conjunction with the States Ministry of Education should provide physical education facilities and equipment for the implementation of Physical Education curriculum in Secondary Schools in Nigeria.

CURRENT SITUATION OF MANAGEMENT AND USE OF TEACHING EQUIPMENT UNDER ORIENTATIONS FOR DEVELOPING STUDENT CAPACITY IN LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN DIEN BIEN DISTRICT, DIEN BIEN PROVINCE IN THE PRESENT PERIOD

Last time, management of equipment, maintenance and use of teaching equipment in lower secondary schools in Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province has been paid more attention, making important contributions to keeping sustainably, improve the quality of education in the district. Every year the lower secondary schools have been given funding and have plans to equip additional teaching equipment. Most lower secondary schools have full-time staff in charge of teaching equipment; with equipment storage rooms, cabinets are gradually added; laboratories and classrooms have been built more and more; have a system of records of teaching equipment management established; The work of inventorying and purifying teaching equipment periodically was also concerned. The movement of innovating teaching methods has made education managers and teachers more interested in using teaching equipment effectively. The positive management measures have caused many teachers to use teaching equipment as an integral part of the lesson, helping the quality of the lessons be increasingly improved to meet the requirements of changes. New teaching methods. Education administrators, teachers, teaching equipment staff are becoming more and more serious in teaching device management. However, the reality of teaching equipment management still reveals many limitations: The management of teaching equipment in schools is still administrative and ineffective. The equipment has no overall and detailed plans; The procurement of teaching equipment is not guaranteed in terms of quantity, lack of uniformity (some are redundant, some are lacking), quality is limited (durability, accuracy is not guaranteed, some new ones are not used); preservation still has many shortcomings; lack of specialized staff; lack of storage space or insufficient storage; lack of cabinets, prices, laboratories, subject classrooms; specially managing the use of teaching equipment is not tight; Many places teachers have not paid attention to use, ineffective use. The situation of “teaching vegetarianism” is still common, teaching equipment used is still movement, mostly used only in special cases such as competitions for good teachers, lectures or when there is a delegation check; There are many cases of information technology abuse in teaching. The effective use of teaching equipment oriented student capacity development is not much. The management of the use of teaching equipment oriented to develop student competencies in the current trend of Industry Revolution 4.0 is a matter of great concern to educational managers.Thus, the task of surveying the situation of managing the effective use of teaching equipment, finding subjective and objective reasons in order to propose measures to effectively manage the use of teaching equipment in the direction of developing students’ practical capacities and contributing to improving the quality of teaching in secondary schools in Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province is a very important and necessary task today.

Copenhagen Burnout Inventory On A National Representative Sample Of Pre-School Teachers

Abstract Background Pre-school teachers are faced with work-related stress and are at increased risk of development of burnout syndrome. The aim of this study was to evaluate the reliability of the Serbian version of Copenhagen burnout inventory (CBI) on a National Representative Sample of preschool teachers in Serbia. Methods This was a cross-sectional study conducted between October 2018 and April 2019 which included 456 preschool teachers in Serbia. The instrument contained questions on socio-demographic, socio-economic characteristics, lifestyle characteristics, workplace environment and Serbian version of CBI. Univariate linear regression, multiple linear regression, Cronbach alpha coefficients were performed. Results Cronbach alpha of three domains of CBI were: personal burnout-0.907, work-related burnout-0.878, client-related burnout- 0.903. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that having a tenured contract (ß=3.46, p = 0.04), working in shifts (ß=7.94, p = 0.01), and having worse self-perceived health status (ß=-8.88, p = 0.01) were significantly associated with personal burnout. Working in shifts (ß=-4.67, p-0.012) and having worse self-perceived health status (ß=-7.82, p < 0.001) were significantly associated with work-related burnout. Age (ß=0.53, p < 0.001), living in urban areas (ß=-6.55, p = 0.015), alcohol consumption (ß=5.09, p = 0.016), number of children teacher work with (ß0.407, p = 0.005), having teaching equipment (ß=-4.46, p = 0.033), and having worse self-perceived health status (ß=-7.17, p < 0.0001) were significantly associated with client-related burnout. Conclusions CBI is a valid instrument for the assessment of burnout among preschool teachers in Serbia. Many workplace-related factors, which could be subject of preventive measures, are associated with domains of burnout in this population. Key messages Workplace-related factors are associated with burnout among preschool teachers in Serbia. CBI is valid instrument for assessment of burnout among preschool teachers.

The Communicative Orientation of English Language Teaching Classrooms in Moroccan Secondary Schools

The present paper addresses the issue of theory and practice in the implementation of the communicative approach in the context of English as a foreign language teaching in Morocco. It set to evaluate the communicative orientation of English language teaching classrooms in Moroccan secondary schools. This evaluation incorporates the investigation of the constraints imposed on teaching English for communicative purposes in this context. The results reveal the dominance of non-communicatively oriented practices and classrooms over their communicatively oriented counterparts. However, the dominance of communicative features in forty-one of the classes observed (34.16%) is relatively high given the current state of communicative language teaching in Morocco and the constraints that were found to impede its implementation in this context. These constraints are related essentially to the foreign language context, the formal nature of the classroom environment, the traditional nature of students’ personality traits and their conceptions of classroom participation and role-relationships, the nature of assessment procedures, lack of adequate and varied teaching materials and equipment, and the large size of classes. These findings suggest that English language teaching in Moroccan secondary schools has undergone important changes from the dominance of traditional and teacher-centred classrooms towards more communicative language teaching. They would also imply that the implementation of the communicative approach in foreign language contexts is not impossible, but rather feasible. To this end, this article presents some suggestions to enhance communicatively oriented attitudes and practices in English as a foreign language teaching classrooms in Morocco.

Design guidelines for the functional efficiency of laboratory facilities

ABSTRACTThis paper presents the development of design guidelines to improve the functional efficiency of academic and research laboratory facilities. The study was carried out in four stages, firstly, key performance indicators for the functional performance of laboratory facilities were identified. Furthermore, the space syntax theory was used to identify the functional performance issues of selected case studies, and a post occupancy evaluation (POE) was also carried out to obtain users’ feedback on these case studies. Finally, design guidelines containing functional elements were assessed through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire survey, and analysed using the Relative Importance Index (RII). Sample drawings based on the guidelines were developed and reviewed by 10 professional architects. The study resulted in 31 design guidelines, grouped into 5 categories, including ‘space’, ‘access/circulation’, ‘building features’, ‘design for disabled users’, and ‘design for flexibility’. The RII values showed that the top three most important design guidelines included ‘ease of identifying emergency or escape route’ (97.78%), ‘additional space for knee and chair space under the benches’ (93.33%), ‘adequate teaching equipment, such as a bookstand and marker board’s storage space for student microscopes, book bags and coats’ (93.33%), and ‘designated office space’ (89.09%). Though design guidelines exist for laboratory facilities. The current study approaches the subject matter through a triangulation of methodologies. It also re-emphasizes the need for research and development to support the evolving requirements of modern laboratory facilities. It has the specific contribution of complementing existing standards and guidelines in the design of laboratory facilities.

ОСОБЛИВОСТІ НАВЧАННЯ УЧНІВ У МАЛОКОМПЛЕКТНІЙ ШКОЛІ

The article analyzes the activities of small schools. Their advantages and disadvantages are defined. For example, Postojnska UVK «rose-DOUZ» / - / / St. characteristics of the educational process in small rural school. In such small schools Pustotyne NPK «o-DOU» / - / / article, where studies 57 students, I work as a primary school teacher. I would like to help my colleagues, revealing the features of the organization of training in a small school based on my experience. The principles on which small schools are oriented in their educational activities are analyzed. Advantages of training in small schools, use of various educational means of pedagogical technologies in educational process are defined. A small school is a small multi-age group, where improved opportunities for the education of the younger by the older are created. These schools resemble a large family. One of the main tasks of a modern small school is to create a developing pedagogical environment, on the basis of which it is possible to implement the idea of interaction between students of different ages. The author considers that in the conditions of small school it is easier for the teacher to carry out: individual approach to students taking into account the type of their temperament and nervous system, peculiarities of development, inclinations and interests, level of knowledge and skills; personality-oriented approach to learning, in which personal communication acts as the purpose and means of training and education, as an understanding of the inner position of the student. Student and teacher "hear" each other; practical orientation of educational activities of students (excursions to agricultural facilities, participation in research, etc). Through the use of educational resources of reference schools (resource centers), the quality of students' knowledge in small schools is improved, creative ties between school teachers are strengthened and the process of experience exchange, primarily successful experience in small schools, is expanded. The effectiveness of the lesson in a small school depends on its preparation. Preparing for the lesson, the teacher should think over the logic of the educational process so well that he can foresee where difficulties will arise, and he needs to get involved in the work, i.e. to allocate the so-called "zones of special pedagogical attention in advance. The author comes to the conclusion that the quality of education in a small primary school is influenced by the correct acquisition of combined classes, skillful scheduling, lesson planning, the nature of educational equipment, its rational use.

Introduction and reflection on the curriculum "society, the individual & medicine" in university of Ottawa faculty of medicine

Taking the curriculum society, the individual & in university of Ottawa faculty of medicine as an example, the cultivation models for comprehensive quality of medical students in China and Canada was compared. In University of Ottawa faculty of medicine, the curriculum society, the individual & is throughout the whole medical education, including three themes of statistics and epidemiology related knowledge, health related issues and professional development. The varied teaching modes are combined with electronic teaching equipment and students' subjectivity in learning is emphasized. Drawing insights from the medical education in Canada, we should focus on promoting early contact and lifelong study of medical humanities curriculum for medical students, enriching the curriculum content, enhancing the curriculum practicality, diversifying the teaching methods, strengthening the teachers' training, improving the assessment system and establishing the long-term mechanism. PELAKSANAAN DAK FISIK BIDANG PENDIDIKAN DI KABUPATEN AGAM

The aim of this study was to find out the implementation of the Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK) in the Basic Education level in Agam Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach. Respondents were Head of Elementary and junior SecondarySchool Division, as well as managers of Physical DAK in Elementary and Middle School. Data collection were carried out using clustered group discussions (DKT) and secondary data. Analysis data used qualitative descriptive technique. The results of the study show that the implementation of education infrastructure improvement is carried out in a self-managed manner and the procurement of educational facilities is carried out by auction or by e-catalog. All of the education infrastructure improvements can be carried out (100%) both in elementary and junior high schools. Whereas not all can be implemented to improve education facilities, especially in elementary schools. To procure library collections in the Elementary School, Elementary School Division in the regency must refund as much as IDR 2.6 billion, because it cannot carry out the procurement of library collections due to the absence of providers who pass the selection for auction. Procurement of educational equipment and media can be implemented in Junior Secondary School, because all goods needed in the procurement of equipment and educational media are in the e-catalog, making it easier for DAK managers to procure an increase in educational facilities. In addition, the ecatalog procurement process is faster and safer.

Teaching English in Elqubba primary schools: Issues and directions

The Libyan Ministry of Education has taken important steps to introduce English from the 1st grade (age 6) since autumn semester 2018/2019, yet without taking into considerations the issues that will be faced in teaching English in primary schools. This study, therefore, aimed to identify the issues encountered in the teaching of English from the 1st grade to the 4th grade in primary schools in Elqubba, a city in Eastern Libya and how to overcome these issues. Data were collected through focussed observations and semi-structured interviews. The findings revealed that crowded classrooms, lack of teaching tools and equipments, insufficient exposure to the target language, extensive use of Arabic language, some deficiencies in "English for Libya" coursebooks, poor knowledge of teaching methods, and non-English major teachers were the challenges faced in teaching English. Directions are proposed to overcome these issues.

Wireless LAN based Mobile Attendance System (WL-MAS)

In any education system, attendance of students is the first and foremost thing. Apart from academic compulsion, it reflects trust and belongingness of the students in system. In current scenario with large number of students and modern teaching equipments, the methodology of attendance keeping and maintenance needs to be changed. Hence, we have developed a prototype system using PHP/MySQL in which attendance is marked via mobiles that use wireless LAN connectivity through Access Points. The attendances so marked are stored on to a server. From the stored data, the reports of the students (regarding status: regular, short or condone) are generated. The developed system is tested in class room environment at G.B. Pant University of Ag. & Technology during teaching and is found to be effective. This system can be easily customized as per attendance system of any other Institute/University.

The Application of Intelligent Simulated Human Teaching Equipment in Clinical Practice

The application of modern science and technology to the basic experimental teaching of medical students is an important trend in the reform of experimental teaching in medical colleges and universities. The international advanced intelligent simulated human ECS teaching equipment and integrated functional experimental teaching are organically combined to operate and apply in the virtual clinical cases, and the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills are tested. This has achieved remarkable results in the cultivation of modern medical education talents, and has achieved the goal of cultivating students’ clinical thinking and analytical ability, and improving the comprehensive quality of medical students, thus providing new ideas for the reform of modern functional experiment teaching.
