Innovation and Expansion of Neural System-Based Teacher Evaluation Management Mechanism in Academy

The traditional evaluation mechanism of ideological education in universities faces many challenges. How to improve the quality of knowledge service work in the university and enhance instructors' skill level and effectiveness is the main problem facing the sustainable development of higher education in the new century. This article studies the innovation and expansion of the evaluation and management mechanism for university teachers based on the neural system in order to achieve effective scientific and systematic teaching methods. The experimental results show that the improvement rate of higher education academic performance under neural system learning is 75.12%, which is 17.34% higher than traditional Blended Open Learning(BOP) learning methods. Therefore, the improvement rate using the neural system learning is higher. This article targets different groups responsible for university-level teaching, thereby greatly improving the learning of college students.

Review On Educational Academic Performance Analysis and Dropout Visualization by Analyzing Grades of Student

Education is a crucial aspect of a nation's development, and ensuring the success and retention of students is of paramount importance. The current studies show the need for an effective and efficient education prediction system. Education is a pivotal aspect of a country's development. It acts as a powerful tool to change the world. Education is the key to a literate society. In India, it is necessary to have an integrated web platform to analyze the academic performance and dropout rates across school, higher, and technical education. Student dropout is a significant problem for any nation. Discontinuing schooling due to financial, practical, and social reasons, as well as disappointment in examination results, is what is commonly referred to as student dropout. Educational Data Mining (EDM) techniques can help discover insights from data in educational environments, allowing tutors and researchers to predict future trends and student behavior. The use of machine learning and data mining techniques provides valuable tools for understanding the student learning environment. This literature review aims to synthesize the existing research findings on this topic and identify knowledge gaps for future research.

Effect of Training Platform on Interest and Academic Performance in Technical Education among Technical College Students in Ondo-State, Nigeria

Training platform is closely associated to e-learning. Training platforms are primarily focused on the delivery of online learning. It serves as a platform for a variety of uses, including asynchronous and synchronous methods of teaching and learning. This study investigated the effect of training platform instruction on students’ interest and academic performance in technical education among technical college students. The study was conducted in Ondo State and applied a quasi-experimental methodology. The study involved 284 participants, including 232 male and 52 female students from two technical colleges in Ondo State. For effective investigation, training technical education interest rating (TEIR) and technical education academic performance (TEAP) instrument were faces verified by 3 experts. To analyze the null hypotheses that served as the study guiding principles and to provide answers to the research questions, the collected data were analyzed using the mean and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that students’ interest and academic performance are enhanced when technical education is taught using a training platform method than the conventional instructional method. The study also finds a significant variation in the academic performance of the students who were taught technical education via the training platform instructional method. Based on these findings, the study concluded that the training platform instructional approach improves students' academic performance and interest more than the traditional approach in technical education. Also, male students had a stronger interest in technical education than female students who are taught technical education using the training platform instructional approach, and female students in technical institutions outperformed male students academically when utilizing the training platform. The study therefore recommended that technical colleges should take into consideration the use of training platform as an addition to the conventional instructional practices to enhance the quality of learning and teaching.

Emotional Intelligence Among Residents and Relationship with Educational Academic Performance

INTRODUCTION: Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability of being aware of our feelings and the feelings of others to effectively manage our environment. We aimed to describe the EI of residents, and to understand the relationship between EI and academic performance among residents. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional study based on a voluntary survey of residents in a university hospital. Sociodemographic and academic characteristics were collected. We divided residents into technique-oriented and person-oriented subgroups. EI was measured using the Wong Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), a 16-item self-report scale defining 4 ability dimensions: expression of emotion in self, recognition of emotion in others, regulation of self-emotion, and use of emotion. Each item was answered following a 7-point Likert scale. RESULTS: A total of 56 residents were included. The mean age was 28.1 ± 2.17 years, 58.9% were women. Technique-oriented specialty was (58.9%) and person-oriented specialty (39.3%). Multivariate analysis found auto-satisfaction of provided care to be higher in residents with higher self-emotion recognition ability (β = 1.58; [0.68; 2.48]; p < 0.001), good regulation of emotions (β = 1.37; [0.23; 2.51]; p = 0.019), and better use of self-emotion (β = 1.55; [0.24; 2.87]; mp = 0.021). Self-emotion appraisal was significantly higher in technique-oriented specialties (β = 0.68; [0.18;1.18]; p = 0.008). And finally, better quality of sleep represented by more sleep hours was associated with higher ability to regulate self-emotion (β = 0.32 [−0.06; 0.58]; p = 0.017), and other’s emotion recognition (β = 0.32; [−0.01; 0.62]; p = 0.038) (Table).TableCONCLUSION: The well-being of residents influences greatly their EI, as shown with better sleep quality and work satisfaction. Higher EI predisposes residents to thrive academically. Therefore, interventions cultivating EI can optimize the wellness and academic performance of residents.

Relationship between cold executive functions and self-regulated learning management in college students

The aim of this research was to analyze the relationship between cold executive functions (cEFs), and self-regulated learning management (SRLM) in college students. There is a positive and a statistically significant relationship between cold executive functions (cEFs) and self-regulated learning management (SRLM). This research is a quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, and inferential study, with a correlational approach. The sample was non-probabilistic, by convenience sampling, composed of n = 379 college students belonging to pedagogy careers, 64.1% were males, and 35.9% females, aged between 17 and 34 years old (M = 19.82, SD = 2.41). The results show that there is a strong association between cold executive functions and self-regulated learning management since high performance in cEFs would imply a high performance on learning management. On the other hand, it is also observed a predictive value of planning cEF on SRLM, meaning that, an optimal level of planning would imply adequate management of learning processes. The original contribution of this study is to provide evidence to consider supporting plans for college students to improve their skills in the cEFs, due to the negative impact that failure in higher education represents for the student, their families, and university system. Finally, we think it is necessary to continue the research in depth of these variables, and their influence in higher education academic performance.

Building Performance and Academic Performance in Higher Education: A Post Occupation Evaluation of Overseas Loan Financing Project

Physical infrastructure is one of the input instruments in the implementation and improvement of the quality of education. However, since the government fund is inadequate, so the development financing to improve the physical quality of higher education infrastructure is obtained through overseas loan financing. The problem in this study is to describe the contribution of investment in the provision of facilities and infrastructure on improving the academic and institutional performance of higher education. This study uses a Post Occupational Evaluation method that focuses on measuring building performance and the contribution to higher education academic performance. This study also compares the building performance and academic performance of universities that receive and do not receive loans.

Increase in academic performance of medical universities' students is one of the most significant tasks of the modern education and healthcare systems as a factor contributing to high quality of the future doctors' qualification. Increased level of anxiety and depression negatively correlate with the level of the students' academic performance. Such a method of physiotherapy as mesodiencephalic modulation takes a stabilising effect on psychoemotional state of a person. The paper contains the analysis of emotional state of the students from the Faculty of Dentistry, defines the level of anxiety and depression, and notes their correlational interconnection with the level of academic performance in their study. The authors have practically stated positive influence of the mesodiencephalic modulation sessions on psychoemotional state of the students and indirectly on the level of their educational academic performance.

Refining the Openness–Performance Relationship: Construct Specificity, Contextualization, Social Skill, and the Combination of Trait Self- and Other-Ratings

abstractScholars have raised concerns that openness to experience has ambiguous relationships with performance. In this study, we examine both openness and one of its more narrow dimensions, learning approach. In addition, the research context was made narrow (i.e., higher education academic performance in science), and social skill was interactively combined with peer- and self-rated personality in the prediction of academic performance (i.e., grades). We found that those high on learning approach, but not openness, 1 year later performed better academically than those lower on learning approach. Furthermore, for those high and average on social skill, increased peer-rated learning approach was associated with higher performance. Finally, the combination of self- and other-ratings of learning approach was a better predictor of academic performance than the combination of self- and other-ratings of openness. The relationship of openness with academic performance benefits from narrowing predictors and criteria, framing the study within a relevant context, accounting for social skill, and combining self- and other trait ratings.

Gender Differences in Factors Influencing First Intercourse Among Urban Students in Chile

This study examined factors significantly associated with early sexual initiation in Chile. Data were obtained from a baseline survey among 4248 urban students aged 11-19 years in March 1994. The survey was conducted before a sex education and reproductive health services program was initiated. It was hypothesized that early first sexual intercourse (FSI) would be associated with family structure parental education academic performance peer group influences use of drugs and alcohol and attitudes toward sexuality and early parenthood. The instrument was based on one used to evaluate a sex education program in Baltimore Maryland. Bivariate analyses and analyses of five separate multivariate logistic models were performed. The findings confirm that the factors associated with initiation of FSI were the same in the US and Chile. The final reduced model revealed that the significant factors associated with increased odds of FSI for males were as follows: age attitudes about the type of relationship appropriate for sexual intercourse a perception of the ideal age of FSI their current relationship perception of peers sexual experience belief that early parenthood limits employment options and risk behaviors of ever having smoked or used marijuana. For women the significant factors predicting sexual initiation were the same in individual and final models for sexual attitudes and relationship variables. The attitudes toward early pregnancy and ever having smoked cigarettes became insignificant in the final model. Significant factors were similar among both sexes regardless of whether the context contained machismo or not.
