Pengaruh Keterampilan Komunikasi Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen terhadap Efektivitas Belajar Peserta Didik pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan Budi Pekerti Kelas VIII SMP N 2 Balige Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024

The aim of this research is to determine the positive and significant influence of Religious Education Teachers' Communication Skills on the Effectiveness of Students' Learning in Religious Education and Character Subjects in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Balige for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The method used in this research is an inferential quantitative method. The population was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Balige who were Protestant Christians, totaling 227 people, and the research sample was determined to be 56 people, namely 25% of the total population. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 44 items. The results of the data analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence on the communication skills of PAK teachers on the effectiveness of students' learning in the PAK and Character subjects for Class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Balige for the 2023/2024 academic year, proven through the following data analysis: 1) Requirement test analysis: a) a positive relationship test obtained a value of rxy = 0.520 > ttable(a=0.05,n=56) = 0.226, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. b) A significant relationship test was obtained tcount= 4.479 > ttabel(a=0,05,dk=n-2=54))= 2.000, thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Test the effect: a) Test the regression equation, obtain the regression equation Y ̂="21.41"+0.48X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 27.1%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable =(a=0.05, dk numerator k=29, dk denominator=n-2=56-2=54) namely 20.01 > 1.39. Thus it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Implementation of management science in physical education subjects: A systematic literature review

Problems: There is still a lack of research that focuses on identifying the implementation of management science in physical education. Addressing this gap is crucial as it can lead to improved student outcomes and more efficient use of resources. Furthermore, optimizing physical education through management science can contribute to a more comprehensive educational experience, emphasizing the importance of physical activity on students' performance and well-being. Purpose: The primary aim of this systematic literature review is to generate practical recommendations that will empower educators and policymakers to optimize physical education. By conducting a comprehensive analysis, this research seeks to offer valuable guidance for teachers in curriculum design, class management, and the effective evaluation of physical education programs. Additionally, it is advisable to incorporate these implications into the conclusion section of the work. Methods: This research uses the PICO method which the author applies in searching articles to reveal new findings. In the data collection stage, articles were collected via Google Scholar and Crossref. Results: The author found 954 articles resulting from searches via Google Scholar and Crossref via Publish or Perish, then extracted until the author found 7 articles that met all the. Conclusion: Based on a comprehensive analysis of seven research articles, it is evident that the application of management science in physical education is predominantly driven by educators across various educational levels. These findings underscore the pivotal role of effective management by physical education teachers, encompassing learning planning, implementation, and evaluation, to significantly enhance student learning outcomes. Despite the limited number of relevant studies, the results highlight the critical importance of further exploring the application of management in physical education. Further research is needed on various aspects of the application of management science in physical education. Collaboration between physical education experts and management can produce innovative interdisciplinary approaches in the development and implementation of physical education programs

Changing Spanish preservice teachers' environmental attitudes with a citizen science program integrated in Environmental Education subject

AbstractThis research analyzes the effect of the implementation of citizen science activities in the Environmental Education (EE) subject program of the Degree in Primary Education applying Experiential Learning Theory. Environmental Attitudes Inventory (EAI) was used to measure the change in environmental attitudes (EA) of 173 preservice teachers through a pre‐test–post‐test experimental design without a control group. Participation in the training program significantly improved EA in the 12 dimensions defined in the EAI. Of the dimensions included in the second order factor Preservation, Enjoyment of nature reached the largest effect size and Environmental movement activism is the one that obtains the smallest effect size. With regard to Utilization, all dimensions presented a large effect size. No significant differences were found in EA based on the gender variable. It can be concluded that the incorporation of citizen science activities in the EE program significantly improves EA.

Studi Analisis Pelaksanaan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning oleh Guru PPKn di SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan

The purpose of this study is to determine how the implementation of the discovery learning model by PPKn Teachers of SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan in the Discovery Learning Syntax by PPKn Teachers of SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan. This type of research aims to analyze the implementation of the discovery learning model by PPKn teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan. The research was conducted in March 2024. The research subjects were 3 Student Respondents with high, medium and low criteria and 1 PPKn Teacher Informant. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning model by PPKn teachers in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) subject at SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan. The results of the study during the observation of PPKn teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan applied six Discovery Learning syntaxes, namely: (1) Stimulation, (2) Problem Statement, (3) Data Collection, (4) Data Processing, (5) Verification, and (6) Generalization. The implementation of the syntax has generally gone well, as indicated by several indicators such as active involvement of students in the learning process, increased student analytical skills and a deeper understanding of the concept of discovery learning and student enthusiasm in participating in learning. The Discovery Learning learning model can be used as an alternative problem solving in PPKn learning, because this model prioritizes the discovery process to obtain stages to train students' abilities in both cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. Teachers in implementing discovery learning according to its syntax so that the learning process in the classroom runs well where students actively follow the lesson, so that students' mastery of the subject matter shows an increase. This is indicated by the test results given by the teacher. With the discovery learning model, PPKn learning in the classroom is more enjoyable.

Analisis Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Canva Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Al–Qur’an dan Hadits di Mts Ar-Ridho Medan

As time progresses, technology continues to advance. The connection with learning about technological advancements is due to the fact that a good education system will produce excellent human resources and advance a country. The higher the quality of education in a country, the more advanced that country will become. Conversely, the poorer the quality of an education system in a country, the more it will lag behind. Teachers require new media to support learning. This need arises because the lecture method commonly used can seem monotonous. Therefore, students are less motivated to actively participate in learning. The purpose of this research is to increase the interest and motivation of students at MTs Ar-Ridho Medan in studying Islamic education subjects by utilizing and developing learning through Canva-based learning media. Teachers design this resource as a learning aid. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The results show that Canva-based learning media can be used by teachers, leading students to become interested in increasing their interest and motivation in learning at school. This research illustrates that the use of the Canva application in teaching the Quran and Hadith is engaging.

Artificial Intelligence's Impact on the Development of Islamic Religious Education Learning at a Public Junior High School of Cilegon, Indonesia

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the existence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving the quality of learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This study used a qualitative approach by using field observations and interviews to collect data. The research shows that educational institutions have felt the impact of technological advances and AI and have used these tools to improve the teaching and learning process. Education professionals recognize that these advancements are very beneficial in making the learning process more efficient and effective. Personalized learning, automated assessments, virtual tutoring, smart content, and presentation translation are some examples of the benefits of AI for education.

Analysis of Inclusive Education Curriculum in Physical Education, Sports, and Health Subjects at Brajan Elementary School, Tamantirto, Yogyakarta

This study aims to determine the implementation of the inclusive education curriculum related to learning planning, learning implementation, and learning assessment. The study was conducted at Brajan Elementary School, Tamantirto in the 2023/2024 school year. This study used a qualitative method with observation, documentation, and interview techniques with three main respondents: class VI teachers, principals, and Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) teachers. The research findings show that the school has not prepared a PDBK Student Learning Profile, made adaptations or modifications related to the devices, or prepared an Individual Learning Program. This is because teachers do not yet know about preparing inclusive learning, teachers have never attended training, schools do not have GPK, lack adequate resources, and schools have not been involved or collaborated with related experts in preparing learning devices for PDBK.

Examining the Disaster Awareness Levels of Secondary School Students

Natural events are considered disasters when they cause harm to people and living spaces. Since natural disasters cannot be prevented, individuals need to learn to live with and become aware of them. This awareness is critical in minimizing the impact of disasters and can only be achieved through disaster education. Disaster-related outcomes in secondary school are concentrated in the social studies curriculum, and therefore, social studies is an important subject for disaster education. If high-quality disaster education is provided as a part of this course, students are likely to acquire skills to cope with disasters. In this regard, the purpose of this study was to examine the level of disaster awareness among secondary school students. Accordingly, a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, was employed in the study. This study was conducted using an explanatory sequential design within the mixed-method approach. The sample was selected using criterion sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods. Consequently, the study was conducted with 396 students selected from the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades during the 2023-2024 academic year. The study group was selected on a voluntary basis from the sample to which quantitative data were applied. In the quantitative part of the study, the "Disaster Awareness Scale for Secondary School Students" was used to collect data, and in the qualitative part, a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used. The quantitative findings of the study showed that secondary school students had high levels of disaster awareness. However, the qualitative findings did not support the quantitative findings.

Schoolchildren’s Thinking on the Subject and Teachers of Physical Education According to Gender and Educational Grade

The objective of this study was to understand the perceptions of Primary (PrE) and Secondary Education (SE) students in Cantabria about the subject of physical education (PE) and their teachers. A descriptive, comparative relational analytical cross-sectional design was used. A total of 1164 students (387 from PrE and 777 from SE) answered an ad hoc questionnaire on their satisfaction with their PE classes (eight items) and teachers (nine items). The results indicate that the PrE students were more satisfied than the SE students regarding the following statements about PE: more hours per week (p < 0.001); classes and subjects that I like the most (p < 0.001); I enjoy and have fun (p < 0.001); interesting and motivating (p < 0.001); and useful for life (p < 0.001) and easy (p = 0.006). The boys’ responses reflected higher values than the girls’ on all the previous items (p < 0.005). Regarding their thinking about their PE teachers, statistically significant differences were found in the PrE students’ responses compared with those of the SE students for the following: explains well and is easily understood (p = 0.006); stimulates and encourages participation (p = 0.050); cares and is interested in the students (p = 0.031); treat boys and girls the same (p < 0.001); and I prefer a woman because she understands me better (p = 0.021). Therefore, the male and primary-stage students showed more positive attitudes towards PE. In general, there was a favorable disposition towards PE and towards teachers, which must be taken into account to achieve SDG 4.

Analysis of higher order thinking skills and lower thinking skill items in summative evaluation of Akidah-Akhlak learning

This research explores the implementation of summative evaluation in Islamic Religious Education (Akidah Akhlak) subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta, with a focus on implementing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Summative evaluation is considered very important in measuring the achievement of the Islamic Religious Education program. High-level critical and creative thinking skills (HOTS) are considered important in solving everyday problems, especially in the era of globalization. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with document content analysis, especially the final semester assessment questions for Aqidah Akhlak class VII made by the Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah (PWM) DIY. The findings show that of the 12 final semester assessment questions, 6 questions (15%) meet the HOTS criteria, while 28 questions (70%) fall into the low-level thinking ability (LOTS) category. In addition, 6 items (15%) did not have a correct answer among the available options. These findings underscore the need to increase the integration of HOTS in designing summative evaluation questions for Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This research aims to describe and collect information about the implementation of summative evaluations and assess the results at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta. Effective summative evaluation is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of Islamic education at the secondary level.

Digital literacy: a foreign language for students from rural areas in South Africa

The Digital literacy has become an imperative part of higher education, since the Covid19 outbreak, traditional institutions had to adapt digital learning techniques. However, students from rural schools were left in the dark. Since there are still some extremely poor schools in the rural parts of South Africa, where there is still no access to electricity. Therefore, the ability to use any digital tools remains a huge challenge for such students. The transition from a rural school to an urban higher education institution that is very tech savvy and living in the 4th industrial revolution is extensively difficult. Subsequently, the success of students from rural schools gets hindered. However, this doesn’t necessary mean that these students are incapable of succeeding in their respective programs. This paper aims to explore the challenges faced by students from rural schools regarding digital literacy. The research methodology will be a quantitative approach, the sample will be drawn from students in traditional universities who are coming from rural high schools. The findings of this paper will be used to recommend ways of increasing the success rate of learners from rural schools in digital literacy and skills development for traditional universities in South Africa. Scoping Review of Pediatric Primary Care Educational Literature.

Primary care pediatrics is an important element of pediatric training at all levels, yet trainees often lack clinical competence in this area. This scoping review sought to identify the current research available related to pediatric primary care education for medical students and residents and gaps/areas for improvement. Searches were completed on PubMed MEDLINE, Embase, Scopus, and MedEdPORTAL using the search terms "pediatrics," "education," "curricula," and "primary care." An initial total of 6499 articles was screened down to 102 articles for the final full text review and extraction. The most frequently encountered educational subjects were child development and developmental screening (8.8%), adolescent substance use (7.8%), and vaccines/vaccine hesitancy (6.9%). Several subject areas were underrepresented, including pubertal assessment (0.9%), transgender medicine (0.9%), child passenger safety (0.9%), discipline (0.9%), and sports/orthopedic medicine (0%). This study shows that future pediatric primary care educational studies and innovations are needed to improve trainee competence and comfort.

TEACHERS’ STRICTNESS AND ITS IMPACT ON LEARNING OUTCOMES: A CRITICAL REVIEW

Teachers’ strictness has a role in shaping students' learning and has become an extensive research subject of education. This research is focused on teachers' strictness, which impacts the students' engagement, academic achievements, and emotions. Findings showed that the balancing of approach where strictness, support, and clear communication can impact the students' achievement and their behavioral development positively. The method of strict discipline may lead to the effect of decreased motivation, lower engagement, and increased anxiety. For example, research highlights that strict class management can enhance short-term compliance, otherwise, this matter destroys long-term educational achievement, except if it is combined with the nurture of the relationship between teacher and students. Furthermore, the education strategy that interprets discipline and empathy is recommended to foster a conducive environment for the development of the students holistically. These findings underlined the complexity of the effectiveness of the teacher which advocates a nuanced approach of discipline that supports academic rigor and emotional support.

Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Wordwall Terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila Di Kelas 4 A SDN 1 Pabedilankaler

This study was conducted to find out "The Effect of the Use of Wordwall Media on Students' Learning Interest in Pancasila Education Subjects in Class 4 A SDN 1 Pabedilankaler". This research includes quantitative research with a pre-experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The sample amounted to 30 students. The data collection techniques in this study are in the form of observation, pretest-posttest, and questionnaire. The instrument test in this study uses validity and reliability tests. The prerequisite test in this study is the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. The hypothesis test uses the Paired Simple T-test to see the significance of the influence of wordwall media on learning interest and an N-Gain test is carried out to measure the level of effectiveness of the media used on learning interest. Based on the results of the research, the observation data that has been carried out shows that the process using wordwall media is relatively good. Based on the results of the questionnaire regarding learning interest before being given treatment, an average score of 55.17 was obtained, after being given treatment, an average score of 60.40 was obtained. It can be described that students' interest in learning has increased after being given media treatment. The increase in learning interest is evidenced by an average increase of 5.23. Based on the results of the pretest posttest from the Paired Simple T-test sample test, it is known that the Sig result is 0.000 < 0.05, according to the decision-making criteria, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The average value obtained from the N-gain score test and N-gain percent was 0.6933. Based on the qualifications, the N-gain test is included in the medium category. It can be concluded that wordwall media has an effect on students' interest in learning Pancasila Education in grade 4 A SDN 1 Pabedilankaler.

The Role of Religious Teachers in Increasing the Motivation of Students in Grade VII Catholic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Subjects at Tri Sakti-1 Medan Junior High School

This study aims to determine the learning motivation of seventh grade students in the subject of Catholic Religious Education (PAK) and Budi Pekerti at Tri Sakti-1 Medan Catholic Junior High School, as well as the role of PAK teachers in motivating students. In this context, PAK teachers have a crucial role in improving learning motivation by providing appropriate encouragement and motivation to students. We expect this research to enhance the quality of education and boost students' learning motivation in schools. To be role models for students, PAK teachers must act as educators who not only teach religious values but also have broad insights and strong characters. The research methods used in this study are qualitative and quantitative. We used the qualitative method to delve deeper into students' perceptions and experiences of learning motivation from PAK teachers, while the quantitative method objectively measured the level of student learning motivation. We expect the results of this study to offer recommendations to PAK teachers, aimed at enhancing students' learning motivation and fostering the development of effective learning strategies at Tri Sakti-1 Medan Catholic Junior High School. Thus, this study has important implications for improving the quality of religious education and student character through the active and inspiring role of PAK teachers.

The Effectiveness of Use of Digital Learning Media on Student Creativity in Citizenship Education Subjects

Teachers are actors who really influence the educational process, because they are at the forefront of the teaching and learning process. Teaching and learning activities have several components such as objectives, materials, methods of teaching and learning activities, tools and learning resources. One of the most influential aspects in the teaching and learning process is learning media. With the current technological developments, teachers find it easier with the emergence of various interesting learning media, one of which is Digital Learning Media. There are several problems found in the world of education, especially at the elementary school level in Indonesia, such as the low ability of students to understand concepts, low student learning outcomes and low student motivation to learn. Other problems are also expressed in other research which suggests the use and utilization of learning media in elementary schools. it's still not done optimally.
