Utilizing The Edu-Panda Application To Improve Personnel And Academic Administration Services

Information and communication technology have influenced various aspects of life, including education. In the context of schools, using administration-based applications has become increasingly important to facilitate and enhance the efficiency of administrative processes. This abstract presents an overview of the utilization of the edu-Panda application in MAN 2 Kota Malang (a high school in Malang City) and its impact on the effectiveness of school administration management. This study aims to describe the implementation of an educational management information system (MIS) that includes utilizing management information systems and its implementation on administrative services at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Malang. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data is collected through techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation as supporting evidence. Data analysis is conducted using qualitative analysis techniques, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher employs triangulation techniques, including source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the planning of the edu-Panda application in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Malang is based on the school's needs. After the system development is completed, a feasibility test is conducted before reaching the system installation phase. Thus, the system can operate according to its intended purpose. The implementation of the edu-Panda application in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Malang can be used to track attendance, information, allowances, graduation, and matters related to personnel and academics. Based on the five dimensions of service quality used to assess and measure service quality in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Malang, namely Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy, the services in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Malang are considered good. Student Dropout Trends in Higher Education of Nepal: A Case Study of Baneshwor Multiple Campus

This study analyzes the pattern of student dropout rates of Baneshwor Multiple Campus (BMC) over the years 2020 to 2022. However, despite BMC’s extensive initiatives, some problems continue to prevail due to social and economic reasons. Dropout rate is influenced by foreign migration more prominently as an aspect of culture wherein people give priority to employment opportunities abroad than study. The data used in this research are obtained from the Educational Management Information System (EMIS), while a scientific method is followed throughout the analysis phase. It is found that different academic levels have dropout rates, which indicate the need for strong retention strategies. The topic discussed in the dialogue covers, among other aspects, the level of effectiveness of the strategy implemented by BMC to reduce college dropouts, as well as external influences on students' lives and the nation's economy arising from student movement.

Penerapan Manajemen Peserta Didik Berbasis Pesantren di Pondok Pesantren Al Ma'arif Bilae Kab. Bone

This research was conducted in order to find out the Implementation of Learner Management in a boarding school (pondok pesantren). This article aims to find out about the Implementation of Pesantren-Based Learner Management at Al Ma'arif Bilae Boarding School in Bone Regency. The type of research used is qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of learner management at Pondok Pesantren Al Ma'arif Bilae Boarding School in Bone Regency has been carried out quite well. The interesting thing about the implementation of pesantren-based learner management is that in the admission of students, the learner data base has been inputted in an EMIS (Education Management Information System) application, including if there are participants who want to mutate/move from or to another madrasah, this EMIS application can be used to mutate/move through communication between madrasah operators. On the other hand, certain parts still need improvement, especially in the planning of students where the boarding school needs to make careful preparations, especially in preparing better socialization by socializing superior programs such as the Quran tahfiz program, other things regarding the code of ethics, discipline of students Some who do not implement the rules or norms that apply in the boarding school even come not on time. On the other hand, some teachers sometimes come late, and some do not even come at all when it is time to teach, so the class is empty. This certainly shows a poor performance, so it is necessary to improve and collaborate with all parties so that the management of students in the future will be much better. PENGEMBANGAN MANAJEMEN SEKOLAH BERBASIS SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN MELALUI APLIKASI MY IRSYADUL IBAD

This study aims to analyze the implementation of an integrated information system in all schools under the Irsyadul Ibad Foundation and the impact of implementing an education management information system on student attitudes covering moral and social attitudes. This study was conducted by 6 educational units of the Irsyadul Ibad Foundation, Kab. Pandeglang Banten Province. This study uses qualitative methods with observation techniques, interviews and document studies. The results of this study illustrate that the application of the my Irsyadul Ibad education information system can assist educational institutions in assisting student learning activities, relationships with parents, tidying up the management and financial system of school units and foundations. By using this information system application, students' learning activities can be controlled by parents and their progress can be recorded in real time. The existence of this information system also makes it easier for parents to meet their financial obligations to the institution. The application of this management and administrative information system makes it easy for teachers to identify attitudes and develop students' attitudes.

International Experiences of Educational Technology Policies: Lessons for Developing Countries

Since computer education was introduced into the educational systems in the developed world in the early 1980s, educational technology policies (ETPs) have become a hot issue, especially in the new millennium. Based on the comparative analysis approach, this study explained what the ETPs are and why and how the policy makers of USA, UK and China were interesting to develop several revised ETPs on the national levels. It finds that policy makers were keen to invest in ETPs because it contributes to the social and economic development, strengthens the national ideology and culture, and supports the educational reforms. Common factors shaping ETPs include policy or vision and authorizing implementation, teachers’ professional development, ICT for education infrastructure (digital learning resources, physical hardware infrastructure, internet connectivity in the educational institutions, education management information systems (EMIS) and national research and education networks), and educational technology standards for all of those people who are involved in the educational process.

EFEKTIVITAS SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN REKRUITMEN PESERTA DIDIK DI PONDOK PESANTREN

Technology has an important role as a medium of communication and information in the field of education. One of the services for academic registration owned by Islamic boarding schools, of course, must have a good image in the community. The form of technology used in Islamic boarding schools is a website-based educational management information system. The information system for registration of new students at the Ciamis Islamic boarding school based on this website aims to make it easier for prospective new students to register with the Islamic boarding school online or as a medium that facilitates administration in managing data for prospective new students and as for the features on this website, namely the selection of prospective new students exams online. online. The problem in this study is how the use of education management information systems through websites for student recruitment is effective or not. This study aims to determine the relationship between the effectiveness of education management information systems and student recruitment management at Islamic boarding schools in Ciamis Regency. This research method uses a quantitative approach with the type of correlational method. Based on the results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of the education management information system including qualifications is very high, namely 4.50 in the interval range of 4.20 – 5.00. The image of student recruitment is included in the very high qualification of 4.77 which is found in the interval range of 4.20 - 5.00. The results obtained from the correlation of the significance of the relationship between management information systems and student recruitment obtained 0,000. Therefore, the value of 0.000 <0.005 and the correlation coefficient value of 0.283 is in the interval value of 0.51 - 0.75, which means that the education management information system has a weak relationship. Then the coefficient of determination R Square 0.098 means that the contribution of the leadership variable to the image of the head of the madrasah institution is 9.8%.

The aim of this research is to (1). Knowing the implementation of the education management information system at MTs Wahid Hasyim 1 (Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School) in Malang Regency (2). Knowing the role of the education management information system at MTs Wahid Hasyim 1 (Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School) in Malang Regency (3). Knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the education management information system at MTs Wahid Hasyim 1 (Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School) in Malang Regency. This research uses qualitative research. The research location is at MTs Wahid Hasyim 1 (Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School) in Malang Regency. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data processing and analysis techniques used are: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. This research found that: (1) Implementation of the education management information system at MTs Wahid Hasyim 1 (Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School) in Malang Regency has been implemented well, directed/controlled directly by the Head of MTs and using a data processing application, namely the SIMPATIKA service which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag). (2) The role of the education management information system at MTs Wahid Hasyim 1 (Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School) in Malang Regency is very important for data processing, school administration, e-reports and so on. (3) The supporting factors are SIMPATIKA services, e-reports and wifi, while the inhibiting factors are the computer network and quota at MTs Wahid Hasyim 1 (Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School) in Malang Regency.

Innovation and Practice of Educational Management Path Building in Colleges and Universities in the Context of Big Data

Abstract In this paper, a digital education management information system (e-MIS) is constructed based on big data, which realizes the comprehensive processing of education administration and school management data. Through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, the e-MIS system was evaluated and optimized. Then, the e-MIS system was practically applied to the fields of teaching effectiveness evaluation, teachers’ work assessment, scholarship evaluation and dormitory management. Finally, the significant impact of the e-MIS system on the enhancement aspects of new student enrollment education was empirically verified. The results show that the average score of freshmen’s school rules and discipline education is 4.35, learning culture education is 4.53, mental health education is 4.41, and life guidance education is 4.31, all of which are in the middle-upper level, as calculated by the e-EMIS evaluation model. This paper is a positive exploration of improving the efficiency of student education and management in local colleges and universities and promoting the overall development of students.

Digital Transformation of the Management Information System (MIS) at Pondok AnNahdloh, Selangor, Malaysia

The role of information technology in enhancing institutional quality, particularly at Pondok AnNahdloh in Malaysia, cannot be underestimated. Information technology is vital in elevating an institution's standards by improving efficiency, communication, decision-making, security, and innovation. Institutions that effectively embrace information technology can optimize their operations and achieve higher levels of quality, resulting in enhanced competitiveness and desired outcomes. The research's primary objective is to describe the Education Management Information System (MIS) for educational documents at Pondok AnNahdloh in Malaysia, which is up-to-date and integrated. The research methodology involves focus group discussions to identify administrative activities, system application design, system testing, improvement, operator training, limited user testing, launching, and evaluation. Data collection methods include field observations, interviews, and activity documentation. Data analysis follows the theory of Miles and Huberman. The research findings reveal the successful implementation of MIS, leading to up-to-date and integrated educational document data, both in terms of input and processes. Adopting information technology in the academic environment through this system ensures efficient and accurate access, management, and utilization of essential data and information in the educational process. With this system in place, improvements in activity quality are expected, positively impacting community empowerment and national development.

Design of a Cognitive Knowledge Representation Model to Assess the Reasoning Levels of Primary School Children

In recent days, the research on student’s intelligence level modelling is a challenging Artificial Intelligence (AI) task, which gains more attraction because it provides actionable insights to the tutor by analyzing the intelligence level of the learners. Each learner’s knowledge, comprehension, and intellectual capacities are unique. It is critical to identify these capacities and provide learners, particularly slow learners, with the necessary knowledge. Cognitive Performance Test (CPT) is an essential component for assessing the knowledge level of students. The reasoning level or coefficient deals with the analysis of the thinking capability in a logical way. It also reflects the child’s learning potential. The main aim of the proposed system is to design a Cognitive Knowledge Representation Model (CKRM), which fuses Cognitive Performance Metrics (CPM) calculation and Reasoning Coefficient Calculation (RCC) algorithms to assess the student’s intelligence level. The result of the proposed system is stratification of students to three different ranges of reasoning coefficient. The CKRM consists of the following phases: data collection, statistical Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), model building and analysis, which involve the assessment of the knowledge level using CPT and calculation of reasoning coefficient using First Order Logic (FOL), and finally model evaluation using cognitive evaluation metrics. CPM and RCC algorithms have been proposed in this paper to calculate the student’s reasoning coefficient by using the forward chaining FOL inference engine. The dataset is a real time data which consists of the academic and cognitive performance details of school students from classes 1 to 6 for the year 2019 to 2020. The academic data are collected from the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) maintained by the school. The cognitive performance data are collected by conducting the tests for the students using the memory training application called Lumosity. The proposed system’s performance is evaluated using ten Machine Learning (ML) algorithms in which the Quadratic Discriminant Analysis achieved an accuracy of 0.97 for classes 1, 2, and 3. For classes 4, 5, and 6, nearly twelve ML algorithms are evaluated in which Random Forest (RF) Classifier achieved an accuracy of 0.98. Six math expert committee teachers concluded that the reasoning coefficient value was acceptable with an average accuracy of 0.92 for classes 1, 2, 3 and 0.9 for classes 4, 5, 6. In comparison to the pre-existing models employed in the prior research, it was determined that the created CKRM (academic and cognitive) was superior. The cognitive metrics such as taskability, Response Time (RT), knowledge capacity and utilization has also been evaluated. The average values of taskability, RT, knowledge capacity and knowledge utilisation are 0.85, 0.81, 0.55, and 0.44. The ultimate goal is to make customised teaching easier; hence, this article involves determining a student’s cognitive level by estimating their reasoning coefficient. The suggested approach analyses and categorises students’ cognitive abilities, such as memory, reasoning, problem solving, thinking, and logical reasoning, using three different reasoning coefficients. This approach assists teachers in determining the degree of intelligence of their students.

Design and development of personalized education information management system based on artificial intelligence

Abstract In order to combine artificial intelligence and personalized education, this paper uses semantic similarity to evaluate the similarity between personalized education models and resource information and gives a semantic similarity calculation between word lists. It is used to measure the semantic similarity between user models and texts and between texts, and a recommendation algorithm based on semantic analysis is constructed. Based on this, the needs of personalized education are analyzed, and the personalized education information management system is designed using the MVC framework with a B/S structure. After system testing, we obtained that the MSE value of the review data volume threshold set to 2 was 0.94 on the student information set, 0.86 on the teacher information set, 0.76 on the course information set, 0.74 on the score information set, and 0.81 on the administrative information set.

ENHANCING MATHEMATICS EDUCATION IN RURAL GAMBIA: INVESTIGATING THE INFLUENCE OF TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ON STUDENT ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

This study investigatesthe influence of teachersqualifications and experience on the academic performance of senior secondary school mathematics students in rural Gambia.To achieve this objective, I conducted a rigorous analysis of quantitative data sourced from surveys administered by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education through the Education Management Information System (EMIS) and data from the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC)-The Gambia.To ensure a representativesample, I employed a simple random sampling technique. I selected 35 schools out of the total 57 public secondary schools in rural Gambia that presented candidates in the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination in mathematics. Subsequently, the collected data undergoes statistical analysis using IBM SPSS-25. A series of independent t-test analyses wereconducted to compare the mean academic performance scores across various student groups while testing the formulated hypotheses at a significance level of 0.05.The studys findings revealed a substantial impact of teachersqualifications and experience on student performance in mathematics. Considering these findings, one recommended action is to encourage and support secondary school teachers to pursue higher education degrees, particularly a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) specializing in mathematics.

Evaluation on Innovation and Development of University Education Management Informatization Construction Under the Background of Big Data

The purpose of this article is to discuss the innovation and development of university education management informationization construction in the context of big data. Through a comprehensive comparison of innovative and traditional university education management information systems, it reveals the advantages of the innovative model in terms of flexibility, efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and personalized learning. The questionnaire survey and comparative analysis reveal the positive impact of big data on education management. However, it also reveals the limitations of the innovative informationized education management model, which requires more technical input and security. Finally, future research suggestions such as integrating data from multiple sources, promoting personalized education, and incorporating artificial intelligence are proposed to promote the innovation and development of information technology construction for education management in universities. This study provides insights and guidance for university administrators and researchers.

Informing sustainable development in education: Identification and actualization of layered IS affordances

AbstractThis paper reports from a qualitative case study in the Gambian education sector. The study applies an affordance perspective to the ongoing strengthening of the national education management information system. Our analysis distinguishes between micro‐level technology‐use affordances (e.g., civil servants using IT for data capture and reporting), meso‐level information system (IS) affordances (e.g., data‐driven decision making at the organizational level), and macro‐level affordances, which include policy interventions to ensure the attainment of education sector goals. The contribution of the paper is twofold. First, the paper introduces a stepwise framework for IS affordance identification in terms of granularity levels (micro, meso and macro). Second, the paper outlines how use of IT at the micro‐level allows for the actualization of meso‐level IS affordances, which in turn serve as a foundation for the articulation of higher‐level interventions. Far too often, ICT for development (ICT4D) projects focus on putting technology in the hands of users with the assumption that “better data” will drive development. The significant work involved in identifying and actualizing meso‐level IS affordances is often not explicated and recognized in related plans and budgets. By highlighting meso‐level IS affordance actualizations, the paper explicates the link between public sector IT adoption and use and intended societal‐level impact, which remains a key policy and research concern.

Pathshala: Student Information Management using Cutting-Edge Technology

An Education Information Management System is developed using the Flutter framework integrated with Firebase for data storage and authentication. The system addresses the challenges faced by educational institutions in managing student information, attendance, grades, and communication with parents. Traditional methods of managing school-related tasks are often cumbersome, time-consuming, and error-prone. Thus, there is a need for an efficient and user-friendly solution that can streamline these processes and enhance productivity. The development of the school management system utilizes the Flutter framework, a cross-platform development tool, to create a mobile application as well as web application. Firebase, a comprehensive cloud-based platform, was integrated to handle data storage, authentication, and communication. The system focused on meeting the needs of school administrators, teachers, students, and parents. Key features included student enrollment, attendance tracking, grade management, and notice announcement functionalities. The implementation of this system resulted in significant benefits, such as easier student registration, efficient attendance tracking, streamlined grade management, improved communication, and enhanced engagement among administrators, teachers, students, and parents.

Development Mobile Learning Application : Clinical Education Management Information System (Cemis) Among Health Science Students In Indonesia

Background: Most of the clinical learning process in Indonesia is still conventional and not yet integrated between needs assessment and mobile learning outcomes of clinical education, so it requires learning media based on mobile learning applications that are not limited by space and time and can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Methods: This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). Research product development design using the ADDIE model with 3 research instruments, namely; Product validation tests by technology experts and material experts and product practicality tests by users. The sampling technique was porposive sampling with a case study of 30 students practicing the clinical profession of nurses, 5 material experts and 3 technology experts. Results: Mobile learning application Clinical Education Management Information System (CEMIS) with users namely academic Preceptors, clinical Preceptors and students and has 12 features which include components of Cognitive ability, Psychomotor ability, Affective ability, Clinical Education Learning Outcomes and Supporting Factors. While the results of product validity tests by technology experts amounted to 87.90% (Very feasible) and material expert assessments amounted to 88.52% (Very feasible) while the product practicality test results were 85.05% (Practical). Conclusion: CEMIS's mobile learning application is declared feasible and practical to use as a clinical learning medium for academic preceptors, clinical preceptors and students in accordance with the learning outcomes and clinical learning standards in Indonesia.
