EKATERININSKAYA WOMEN‘S GYMNASIUM OF NAKHICHEVAN-ON-DON

Among the educational institutions of the Armenian city of Nakhichevan-on-Don, a special place was occupied by the Catherine women's gymnasium. This educational institution underwent an evolution from a three-year school to a female gymnasium, the appearance of which marked the manifestation of a rather conservative Armenian society towards female education. Unlike the parish schools Armenian educational institutions of the city, where the teachers were Armenians, the mentioned gymnasium was an educational institution in which a wide range of subjects were taught by teachers of various nationalities. The subjects studied here aligned with the subjects of the gymnasium program, including various languages, mathematics, physics, history, drawing, dance, etc. The city public administration of Nakhichevan-on-Don has always shown touching concern for the Catherine's female gymnasium, and all the problems that the Board of Trustees of the gymnasium faced were promptly resolved. Catherine's female gymnasium enjoyed great prestige among the local population, which was reflected in its overcrowding with students and the emergence of parallel classes.

Exploring Library and Information Science Professionals’ Responses to Knowledge Management

Knowledge management is no more a buzzword among academic fraternities and in academic institutes. With the corporate world leveraging the benefits of knowledge management, academic institutes are not far behind. This is an attempt to figure out the current scenario of higher educational libraries and use of knowledge management in Bhubaneswar, to identify their growth stage, awareness level and scope of implementation. So, the main purpose of the study is to find out the knowledge management awareness among library and information science professionals and best practices in higher educational institutions of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. What tools are being used to manage their knowledge resources in their respective institute and how they are assisting their parent organization in fulfilling their motto of better education? In total 38 library staffs, from different higher educational institutions of city, have participated in this web survey research. Although most LIS professionals in managerial level and executive level are aware of Knowledge management, they find it difficult to implement due to lack of effort from individual, team and the organization.

The Mediating Role of Family-to-Work Conflict and Work-Family Balance in the Relationship between Family Support and Family Satisfaction: A Three Path Mediation Approach

The purpose of this study is to test the serial mediation effect of family-to-work conflict and work-family balance in the relationship between family support and family satisfaction. Using a survey-based methodology and an online questionnaire, responses were obtained from 288 faculty members who work in higher education institutions in cities from the southern part of India. Partial least square structural equation modeling and PROCESS macros were used to test the proposed hypotheses of the three path mediation model. The results of the study show that academicians in higher educational institutions have high levels of support in their families, which is related to family satisfaction through family-to-work conflict and work-family balance. Overall, there exists, partial mediation support for the proposed theoretical model. The three path mediational hypothesis proposed in this study is new and unique in both Indian and global contexts. The study shows that when faculty members of higher educational institutions get support from their family members, there is less family interference with work, which, in turn, helps them balance their work and family life. Such balance eventually results in satisfaction within the family.

Examining environmental awareness of students from 6th, 7th and 8th classes with respect to several variables: “sample of Agri city”

The purpose of present study is to detect environmental attitudes of 6th, 7th and 8th class students in Agri city primary education institutions on behavioral and mental dimension and find out the relation of attitudes with respect to several variables. In present study, as a data gathering tool, a scale consisting of environmental behavior and environmental thinking sub-titles taken from literature has been employed. The sampling of the research conducted via special case method consists of 236 students studying in the second grade of primary education institutions in city of Agri. In the study, it has been detected that as the class level of students increased, their positive environmental behaviors lessened.
