IoT Board Education Design and Analysis for Elementary School Students

This study aimed to design and analyse IoT board education for elementary school students as a supporting tool for learning Programming Logic. The Programming Logic Learning curriculum was implemented in elementary schools to develop students’ critical thinking. The study used the waterfall method through the following phases: system analysis and requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation. In the performance system test, a trial was done for elementary school students, and a User Acceptance Test (UAT) was done for the Programming Logic subjects. The results of the Black Box Testing showed that all features could run well. Trials of several elementary school students showed that 80% of students were able to use it well and were interested in the IoT board education and UAT testing of The Guardian Teacher, which showed 100% suitability to the needs. In conclusion, the IoT Board Education System can be implemented in Elementary Schools to achieve Programming Logic purposes.

The Crucial of Civic Education for Elementary School Students

Civic education is an urgency that must be considered in elementary schools, considering that current technological developments in the world have entered the era of digitalization 5.0. The purpose of writing this article is to examine further the importance of civic education for students in elementary schools. The writing method in this article uses literature study, a series of activities relating to methods of collecting library data, reading and taking notes, and processing various references that are related and relevant to the problem being studied. The existence of civic education in elementary schools equips students to become good citizens with good character, tolerance, and critical thinking. However, it is hoped that it can create moral citizens with superior character.

Developing an animation video for earthquake mitigation education for elementary school students

Earthquakes cause damage and often cause casualties, where 30% of the victims are children and adolescents. Earthquake mitigation education should be conducted to improve earthquake literacy in children. The National Search and Rescue Agency organizes an education program to provide knowledge on natural disaster mitigation facilitated by instructors who give PowerPoint-assisted lectures. This delivery strategy is ineffective because earthquake mitigation content must visualize earthquake events and emergency responses. Experts determined the most effective video-based media for earthquake mitigation, so animated videos needed to be developed for this program. This study aims to develop an animated video of earthquake mitigation when it occurs in elementary schools. Products are developed with the ADDIE model. The instrument consists of a questionnaire containing criteria on the Likert scale. The analysis technique uses percentages. Animated videos developed are considered feasible as instructional media by experts. Field trials of elementary school students showed that almost all students could give the correct disaster mitigation. Pendidikan mitigasi gempa bumi harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan literasi gempa bumi pada anak-anak. Badan Nasional Pencarian dan Pertolongan menyelenggarakan program Pendidikan untuk memberikan pengetahuan mitigasi bencana alam yang difasilitasi oleh para instruktur dengan memberikan ceramah berbantuan power point. Strategi penyampaian ini tidak efektif karena konten mitigasi gempa bumi harus memvisualisasikan kejadian gempa dan tanggap darurat. Para pakar menetapkan media berbasis video yang paling efektif untuk mitigasi gempa bumi sehingga video animasi perlu dikembangkan untuk program ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video animasi mitigasi gempa bumi bila terjadi di sekolah dasar. Produk dikembangkan dengan model ADDIE. Instrumen terdiri atas kuesioner yang berisikan kriteria-kriteria dalam skala Likert. Teknik analisis menggunakan persentase. Video animasi yang telah dikembangkan dinilai layak sebagai media pembelajaran oleh sejumlah pakar. Uji coba lapangan kepada para siswa sekolah dasar menunjukkan bahwa hampir semua siswa dapat memberikan jawaban yang benar dan siswa dapat memberikan contoh-contoh tanggap darurat. The Connectivity of Anti-Corruption Education with Local Wisdom in Developing Honesty Character in Elementary Schools

Honesty as one of the values in anti-corruption education is a demand in today's society. The spectacle of misappropriation of funds and arrest of individuals in the media has become a negative dish and inspiration for the younger generation. This phenomenon becomes the focus of teachers in building honesty character oriented to the connectivity of anti-corruption education with local wisdom. This article examines anti-corruption education as character building that emphasizes the habit of saying and behaving in accordance with the actual situation, not cheating, and having the courage to admit mistakes. The results obtained are that anti-corruption education for elementary school students requires character building through local cultural values to retain the value of honesty.

Exposing Narratives in 21st Century Children's Literature for Holistic Development and Education in Strengthening Character Education for Elementary School Students

Children's literature serves as a catalyst for fostering creativity, a point emphasized by Norton, who underscores its vital part in nurturing and expanding youthful imaginations. This kidney plays a pivotal part in promoting the development of internal imaginative capacities in scholars. Beyond its part in individual growth, children's literature holds significant value in fostering personality and social development among youthful compendiums. The integration of children's literature into schoolteacher medication programs is purposeful, aiming to equip preceptors with the readiness to incorporate these textbooks into their classrooms. also, it seeks to empower preceptors to grease meaningful conversations on the motifs presented in these erudite workshops with scholars, academy administration brigades, and parents likewise. Achieving this requires schoolteacher preceptors to give ample openings for scholars to exercise the chops of opting, assaying, and agitating a different range of children's literature. Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Education for Elementary School Students in Korea: Tracking by School Grade, Physical Characteristics, and Physical Strength.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess variations in chest compression depth among Korean elementary school students based on grade, physical characteristics, and strength. Methods: The study involved 140 children in the third to sixth grades from elementary schools. Before providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) education, we assessed height, weight, BMI, grip strength, and back strength. Subsequently, CPR education was administered, followed by individual measurements of compression depth. The factors related to compression depths was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and multivariable regression. Results: The mean compression depth was consistently lower than the guideline standard across all grades, indicating grade-dependent differences (p = 0.000). Moreover, height, weight, BMI, grip strength and back strength increased, exhibited significant increases with grade (p = 0.000). In multivariable regression analysis, it was observed that as grade increased, chest compression depth increased by 0.701cm (p = 0.000). Conclusion: School grade significantly influenced achieving the proper chest compressions depth, no notable correlation found for physical factors. Thus, a strategy emphasizing the importance of sufficient chest compressions during CPR education, particularly targeting elementary school students, seems necessary to encourage greater effort.

Pengembangan Permainan Sigma23 Pada Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga Dan Kesehatan Untuk Siswa Sekolah Dasar Luar Biasa Disabilitas Grahita

Physical Education for elementary school students with disabilities must be adapted to their characteristics and needs so that they are willing to participate actively in learning. This study aims to develop and produce circuit movement patterns in theme-based circuit learning for elementary school students with mentally disabled. The method used in this research is research and development (Research and Development) from Borg and Gall. The development of circuit movement patterns is adapted to the theme of physical education learning for one year of study. The product is validated by experts in the education of children with special needs and experts in physical education movement patterns for children with special needs with mentally disabled. The product trials consisted of Trials I and Trials II in special elementary schools with mentally disabled. Based on the results of validation from experts in physical education, it showed a result of 93,75%, while the results of validation from experts in the education of children with special needs showed a result of 90,63%. So based on the experts the results of development research in the form of circuit movement patterns in theme-based circuit learning for elementary school students with mentally disabled are feasible to use.

Implication of a Case Study using Generative AI in Elementary School: Using Stable Diffusion for STEAM Education

This research investigates the use of generative artifical intelligence (AI) in elementary school STEAM education. The workshop involved 46 students and in-depth interviews with 7 participants. The results show students found using AI for creative expression enjoyable and personalized, potentially improving the creative process. The study also highlighted concerns about ethics and bias in generative AI that need further investigation. This study suggests generative AI can enhance art education for elementary school students.

Development of a Hybrid Learning Virtual Space Module Based on Local Saluan Language Wisdom in Science Education for Elementary School Students

This research aims to develop a hybrid learning virtual space design based on local Saluan language wisdom in science subjects for fifth grade students at SDN 3 Luwuk. The research method used is development research using the Borg and Gall model. Development steps include requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The hybrid learning virtual space design developed contains science learning materials with content related to the local wisdom of the Saluan ethnic language. Learning material is presented in interactive multimedia form and equipped with various activities that can increase student participation in the learning process. Evaluation is carried out by measuring the quality of the hybrid learning virtual space in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and student satisfaction. It is hoped that this research can provide interesting learning alternatives and can increase the interest and learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 3 Luwuk in science subjects by utilizing the local wisdom of the Saluan ethnic language. The targeted outcomes of this research are (1) design of a hybrid learning virtual space based on local wisdom of the Saluan language in science subjects for fifth grade students at SDN 3 Luwuk; (2) teaching materials and learning media that can improve student learning outcomes, interest and motivation; (3) alternative science learning media with hybrid learning virtual space; (4) increasing local wisdom in learning

Character Education for Elementary School Students: A Process of Internalizing the Value of Religiosity through Nadoman in Sumedang Regency

This study explores the Nadoman tradition as a tradition that lives in the Sundanese community of Sumedang regency. The selection of Sumedang district became interesting along with the government program that declared itself as the center of Sundanese culture with the title 'Sumedang Puseur Budaya Sunda' (SPBS). The focus of this study presents how the transmission process of religiosity is patterned in elementary school children through Nadoman as a medium for character education based on local wisdom. Ethnography as the design used in this study with the selection of research subjects of elementary school children in one of the sub-districts of North Sumedang, Sumedang Regency-West Java, became a methodological design in achieving research objectives. The findings are put forward through five important themes as follows. First, Nadoman as a manifestation of appreciation of government policy programs. Second, Nadoman as a culture of education for Sudanese Muslim children. Third, Nadoman as local wisdom. Fourth, Nadoman as a medium of internalization of values. Fifth, the embodiment of the religious character of students from the Nadoman tradition. This study concluded that the Nadoman tradition stimulates the development and strengthening of the religious character of children involved in the Nadoman tradition.

Inter-Institutional Communication Model for Online Learning for Elementary School Students

This study seeks to understand various communication events in the learning process holistically. The communication events in this paper include communication from the interpersonal level, computer-mediated communication, to organizational communication. This study explains the communication process from the human aspect (non-technical) and human relations with learning media technology (technical). This study seeks to answer how daily communication and communication media technology is vital in implementing online education for elementary school students. This study aims to offer an inter-institutional communication model that can be used to provide online education for students in elementary schools during disaster emergencies such as the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a focus group discussion (FGD) methodology with data collection techniques in interviews, field observations, and literature studies. This study uses data analysis in three-stage coding: open, axial, and selective. The subjects in this study were providers of elementary school (Sekolah Dasar) in Subdistrict (Kelurahan) Teluk Pucung, Kota Bekasi. This study finds that there is a need for intensification of communication from the daily level involving local stakeholders to resolve non-technical problems. The government needs to improve the communication media technology infrastructure and innovation in learning media technology for students who take online learning at the elementary level.

Teachers' and Principals' Efforts in Implementing Character Education for Elementary School Students

The efforts of teachers and principals are very important in student character education because the teachers are role models for all students and the principal as management who is able to organize the smooth learning and teaching process. This research uses qualitative methods and descriptive approaches with observation, interview, and documentation tools. The data analysis used using the Miles and Huberman model includes data collection, data reduction, data display, verification, or drawing. The results showed that teachers strive to implement character in students by giving instruction or advice that builds the student's character, developing strategies to implement character building in students, providing good role models for students, approaches to understanding of the student character and innovative approaches use learning methods and media and integrated character development. While principals strive to provide extracurricular and noncurricular programs for students integrated with character education, provide subjects integrated with character education, provide facilities and infrastructure to support character education, direct teachers to provide role models for students, with the community work or parents of students to support the character development of the students.

Implementation of Pinggan Adintaku Nutrition Education for Elementary School Students

Konawe Regency in the Southeast Sulawesi Province is one of the regions facing a significant burden of malnutrition among school-age children and adolescents. We developed a nutritional education program for schoolchildren in response to this issue. The Pinggan Adintaku nutritional education program combines face-to-face counseling and educational games. The program aims to equip students with knowledge and skills in selecting healthy foods for themselves, with the expectation of significantly impacting their health and academic performance. The primary media used is the Nutrition Diary module, designed to be age-appropriate and culturally relevant to the program's location. The activities occurred from August to September 2023, centered at Bajo Indah Elementary School in the Soropia District of Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The participants included 18 individuals, consisting of 17 fifth-grade students and one teacher. Qualitative evaluation results indicate that almost all Pinggan Adintaku nutritional education aspects were effective. However, the Schoolchildren's Nutrition Diary module needs further development by adding topics and narratives to make it a comprehensive and informative resource tailored to the needs of schoolchildren.

Sulam Project: Tuberculosis (TB) Health Education for Primary School Students as a community service collaboration between the Department of Biology FMIPA UNP and UPSI Malaysia

Tuberculosis (TB) is a global issue that is a priority in both Indonesia and Malaysia. Since being designated by WHO at 1993 as a global public health threat, Tuberculosis (TB) has become one of the top 10 leading causes of death worldwide. Recently, the number of Tuberculosis (TB) patients in Indonesia has increased, especially paediatric TB cases. In addition, Tuberculosis (TB) cases also increased in Malaysia. For the West Sumatra region, the highest number of TB patients is in Padang City. Since Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease that can affect anyone including children, the school environment as one of the places where children gather and interact has the opportunity to be a place for the spread of TB cases as well as having an important role in preventing TB transmission. However, in reality, the role of schools in early prevention efforts related to Tuberculosis (TB) disease in children, especially elementary school students, is still not optimal. In line with this, Tuberculosis (TB) disease is closely related to the human respiratory system which is one of the topics discussed in the human anatomy and physiology course in the MBKM activity between the Department of Biology FMIPA UNP and the Department of Biology UPSI. Therefore, it is necessary to make preventive efforts in the form of Tuberculosis prevention education. The results of community service are that several stages of community service activities have been carried out regarding Tuberculosis (TB) prevention education for elementary school students, namely the students involved are enthusiastic about the activities held, then pre-service biology teacher are also actively engaged in preparing and carrying out this activity and students' knowledge related to general knowledge, symptoms, their relationship with the respiratory system and prevention efforts are classified as good.

Sosialisasi Penerapan Pendidikan Anti Korupsi Bagi Siswa SD 03 Pondok Labu Jakarta Selatan dalam Mewujudkan Pemantapan Ketahanan dan Tata Kelola Kepemerintahan Indonesia

Anti-corruption education has an important role in shaping the character of Indonesia's young generation with quality and integrity. This article discusses community service in the form of being carried out at SDN 03 Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, and aims to analyze the results of the socialization of the application of anti-corruption education for elementary school students in the context of strengthening resilience and governance in Indonesia. Data were collected through literature review. Research results SDN 03 Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, adopts various anti-corruption education strategies, including the integration of anti-corruption materials in the curriculum, teacher training, and extracurricular activities that promote integrity values. The results of this service also revealed that students who participated in the anti-corruption education program showed an increased understanding of the importance of integrity in maintaining good governance. This service makes an important contribution in the context of strengthening Indonesia's resilience and governance by showing that anti-corruption education for elementary school students can be a strong foundation in forming a generation committed to preventing corruption and promoting clean and transparent governance. This article outlines these findings and their implications for further efforts to strengthen anti-corruption education at the primary education level.

Textbook Effectiveness with Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach on Creative Thinking Ability Elementary School Students

This research is a development research which aims to develop textbooks with a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to teach the creative thinking skills of Pancasila and Citizenship Education for elementary school students. To achieve the research objectives, Lee & Owens development research was carried out using the ADDIE model which includes analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. In accordance with the product development research criteria, it must meet the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness. In this paper, a discussion will be carried out regarding the effectiveness of research products whose process is lifted from the evaluation stage of the research activities carried out. The research subjects were 26 students of Class V SD Negeri 200106 Padangsidimpuan. The object is Teaching Material Products that meet the effectiveness criteria. The product development evaluation stage design uses a one group pretest posttest design. Research instruments include Observation Sheets and Tests. Research conducted shows the application of learning to obtain a score of 3.47 which is in the effective category. Achievement of students' creative thinking abilities with a significance value of 0.01 which is smaller than 0.05 and an N-gain of 0.47 which indicates the product being developed is in the medium category. Thus it is concluded that civics education teaching materials with a contextual teaching and learning approach to teach elementary school students' creative thinking skills are effective. Teaching materials with a contextual teaching and learning approach are very supportive in giving directions to students to provide diverse and varied answers as well as unique answers. Besides that, it is found in active student learning, enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in the learning process.

Maccera Manurung Multicultural Education and Its Implications for Students in Elementary Schools

The focus of the problem in this research is how 1) the description of Multicultural Education maccera manurung 2) how the implications of cultural values maccera manurung on elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the description of Multicultural Education maccera manurung 2) the implications of cultural values maccera manurung on elementary school students. The data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data analysis in this research is descriptive, qualitative data analysis. The subjects of this research are traditional leaders, students who have implemented the maccera manurung culture and elementary school teachers in the Kaluppini Customary Area. The results of this study show an overview of the maccera manurung culture in the Kaluppini community and the main values in the maccera manurung procession that have implications for elementary school students. These values are described in the procession of maccera manurung culture, among others: ma'balla (respect for others, empathy, respect for God, cooperation) massajo (responsibility, trust, courage, honesty, discipline, love for the country, order) kasiturutan (togetherness, order, discipline, tolerance, courtesy). The implications of maccera manurung multicultural education for elementary school students in this study were identified in the form of empathy, student character and positive social relationships with others in elementary school students

Implementation of a Web Application and GIS Electronic Atlas for Teaching in Open Education

Geospatial technology (GST) training has become an important part of open education. The education of primary school children is difficult to design and develop, since there are no educational tools for teaching GST technologies in the school education system of Kazakhstan. This study is aimed at developing and evaluating a system for studying the basics of GST, based on the use of an electronic GIS atlas of geography and a mobile web application KAZCUNET of open education for elementary school students who need additional attention from teachers and parents. The article examines the academic performance of children and the perception of end users based on an extended technology implementation model using the SmartPLS 4 tool. The results contribute to and confirm the significant positive effect of the introduction of GST in open education. Perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, support, satisfaction positively affect the behavioral intention to use the proposed educational web application and the educational electronic GIS atlas of geography.

Analisis Implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter siswa sekolah dasar

This research is motivated by the existence of a new policy in the project program to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in character education, in practice, namely to form Indonesian students who have basic competencies and behaviors that are in accordance with Pancasila values. In order for students to have national character in accordance with Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, the government issued a project program to strengthen Pancasila student profiles to support the implementation of character education for elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data collection techniques by means of interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques by means of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification, and conducting data validity. The results of this study are 1) school program policies to develop character education are the realization of the school's vision and mission as well as project programs to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. 2) the process of implementing the project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile based on the Kepmendikbudristek guidelines No. 56 of 2022 Guidelines for Implementing the Curriculum. 3) the obstacles faced are in terms of the family economy and the lack of facilities from schools. 4) efforts made in dealing with obstacles, namely by evaluating consistently, making modules, annual programs, semester programs adapted to programs that will be implemented in schools.
