Research on the Practice and Strategy of Community Cultural Education Under the Common Prosperity

Haining is located in the Hangjia Lake Plain, and its economic development is rapid. With the surrounding demolition and the surplus labor of rural areas, the phenomenon of "aging aging" and "population gathering" are becoming more and more prominent. Chinese society is in a period of important transformation, diversified value collisions, and complex social environment. Therefore, the construction of targeted communities has gradually attracted much attention. Essence. With the goal of achieving common prosperity, this paper explores the practical forms and strategies of community cultural education in promoting the development of common prosperity for community residents, managing community residents, and enhancing cultural literacy. Through practical implementation, research and statistics, analyze the current resource allocation, activity development, and resident participation in community cultural education. Fully leverage the educational resources of local universities, combine with regional cultural backgrounds, and carry out community cultural education practices with traditional culture as the core. Research has found that community cultural practice education through school local collaboration can stimulate residents' sense of participation and creativity, enhance cohesion and centripetal force, and promote harmonious community management. The study proposes corresponding strategies and suggestions from three aspects: community, local universities, and government, which helps to promote the efficient and sustainable development of community cultural education.

Elder Mistreatment Documentation by Prehospital Clinicians: An Analysis of the National Emergency Medical Services Information System Database

Objectives Elder mistreatment (EM), encompassing abuse and neglect, is a significant public health issue, affecting up to 10% of community-dwelling older adults annually. Elder mistreatment is a growing concern with a higher prevalence in institutional settings and substantial associated healthcare costs. Prehospital clinicians (PHCs) such as emergency medical technicians and paramedics are uniquely positioned to detect and report EM during their interactions with older adults in their homes. The objective of the study is to describe the rate and characteristics of EM documented by PHCs using the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) database. Methods This study analyzed data from NEMSIS, which includes standardized information about PHC emergency response encounters across the United States. In 2018, 22,532,890 activations were included from 9,599 agencies in 43 states and US territories. Elder mistreatment was identified using specific International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes related to EM. Demographic data, injury location, and associated physical findings were also examined. Results Out of 9,605,522 EMS encounters for patients aged ≥60, EM was coded in 1,765 encounters (0.02%). Most EM cases were listed as the cause of injury (64%), followed by the clinician’s first impression (25.4%). Physical abuse was the most common type of mistreatment reported (20.8%), followed by sexual abuse (18.2%), neglect (9.7%), and psychological/emotional abuse (0.34%). The median age of patients with documented EM was 72, and 62.3% were female. The most common anatomic locations of injuries were the lower extremities, head, and upper extremities. Conclusions Despite the high prevalence of EM, PHCs infrequently document EM in their encounters with older adults. Additional training and comprehensive protocols are needed to improve the identification and reporting of EM, mainly elder neglect. Empowering PHCs through education and protocol development can significantly impact the detection and intervention of EM.

The Influence of Parents' Educational Expectations on Children's Development: The Chain Mediation Role of Educational Anxiety and Parental Involvement.

In the social context of the "Educational Involution", the educational expectations of parents have a potential influence on the development of children. High parental educational expectations create parental anxiety, which in turn results in a rise in parental involvement and eventually promotes the growth and progress of children. The current study administered an electronic questionnaire to 891 parents of young children in four provinces of China. The questionnaire included the Parental Educational Expectations Scale, the Educational Anxiety Scale, the Parental Involvement Scale, and the Child Development Scale. This study used SPSS 27.0 for statistical data analysis and the SPSS macro program PROCESS to explore the mediation role. We found that (1) educational anxiety plays a mediating role between parental educational expectations and child development; (2) parental involvement has a mediating effect between parental educational expectations and child development; and (3) educational anxiety and parental involvement play a chain mediating role between parental educational expectations and child development. In conclusion, parental educational expectations appear to contribute to child development, and this effect may be mediated individually and sequentially by educational anxiety and parental involvement.

A Qualitative Study on the Relationship between Faculty Mobility and Scientific Impact: Toward the Sustainable Development of Higher Education

Faculty mobility is one of the most important research issues in the field of higher education. Reasonable faculty mobility can actively promote the fair, coordinated, balanced, healthy, and sustainable development of higher education. Scientific impact is the best proof of faculty members’ research abilities and is often represented by the quality of their articles. In particular, the gradual increase in citations of high-quality papers is undoubtedly an important reflection of healthy development in the academic field. This paper aims to explore the influence of faculty mobility on scientific impact, while comparative analysis is used to investigate whether there are disciplinary differences in the relationship between faculty mobility and scientific impact. Four major disciplines—sociology, mathematics, mechanical engineering, and philosophy—are selected as the scope of this study. Articles in these four major disciplines from 2000 to 2020 are obtained from the Web of Science, and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test are used to analyze the collected data. The results indicate the following: (1) faculty mobility has increased, with differences across disciplines; (2) mobility leads to a decrease in the number of citations, which decreases significantly with increased mobility frequency; and (3) the impact of mobility has disciplinary differences, with a relatively obvious decrease in mechanical engineering.

DARI PENGUNGSIAN KE KEJAYAAN: DISKURSUS DINASTI UMAYYAH II DAN DAMPAK TRANSFORMASINYA DI ANDALUSIA PADA ABAD PERTENGAHAN

This article examines the journey of the Umayyad Dynasty II from exile in the Middle East to achieving glory in Andalusia, as well as the transformational impact they had on the region. The Umayyad II dynasty, led by Abd al-Rahman I, succeeded in turning Andalusia into an advanced center of political, economic and cultural power in medieval Europe. Through theoretical and historical analysis, this article explores the factors that supported the progress of Andalusia under the leadership of Umayyah II, using historical methods consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study can be seen, including visionary leadership, religious tolerance, cross-cultural cooperation, infrastructure development, scientific development, and investment in arts and education. The Umayyad II Dynasty's contribution to Andalusia included political, social and cultural transformation. They succeeded in creating an inclusive environment where Muslims, Christians and Jews could live side by side peacefully, and enriched the intellectual and cultural life of the region. This discourse also provides theoretical insight into political adaptation, social inclusiveness, and cultural investment in creating significant changes in the history of discourse of the Umayyad Dynasty II in Andalusia.

Racial discourses and colonial education policy: The discursive construction of education development at a historically white South African university

Motivated by critiques from black students during the protests (2015-2016), I trace continuities between the racialised discourses and knowledge regimes that justified colonial education policies and that of Education Development at a historically white South African university. First, I show how the University of Cape Town’s Humanities Education Development Programme racialised and misrecognised black students, despite attempted reforms. Secondly, I trace the discursive formation of the ED project - from the assimilationist discourse of missionary education; the adapted model of trusteeship; the production of race science during apartheid; to a return to assimilationist discourse via the Cape Liberal tradition during apartheid’s demise. However, after a generation of inferior Banu Education, the attempt to assimilate black students into historically white universities’ curricula was not feasible. Instead, an adapted, remedial model was proposed that became entrenched post-apartheid by a state and HE system that failed to transform its inherited Eurocentric curriculum.

What Content in Early Childhood Education for Sustainable Development is Present in Swedish Preschools?

This article shares what Swedish preschool teachers are working with in the field of early childhood education for sustainable development (ESD) as e, merged in talks with their children, aged two to five years. The tasks carried out as the basis for the present analyses were informal child talks about a topic related to sustainability that the teachers and children had worked with in practice. The teachers themselves chose what content to talk about. The 200 teachers participated in the Swedish research and development programme Sustainable Preschool. The aim of the present study was to make visible the content of teacher-child talks about sustainable development in early childhood education. The research question is: What content areas do teachers communicate about with children 2-5 years of age related to ESD? The teacher-child talks were initiated by the teachers, but through the use of interpretative content analysis the children’s voices were also made visible. The main result is narratives about the content, the most common topics being recycling, growing plants, and animals, areas which have long been common topics in Swedish preschools. For many preschools, however, the talks show an integration of transformative and transactional perspectives in how the content was handled together with the children. ESD in early education in Sweden is no longer dominated by the environmental dimension, as earlier content studies have shown; a new common content relates to the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.7 regarding sustainable lifestyles and human rights and sustainability is a long process, founded in empowerment, action competence, and changed policy.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CURRICULUM CONSIDERING ACADEMIC AND PRACTICAL BALANCE

This study investigates the development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum with a focus on achieving a balance between academic and practical components. The primary objective is to create a curriculum model that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications, thereby fostering a comprehensive understanding and real-world skills among students. The research methodology includes qualitative analysis through interviews and observations, providing insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the current PAI curriculum. Key findings suggest that an effective implementation of a balanced curriculum requires meticulous planning, continuous professional development for educators, sufficient resources, and ongoing evaluation. The proposed curriculum model encompasses essential elements such as detailed theoretical instruction, interactive practical activities, and regular assessments to ensure both relevance and efficacy. Furthermore, strategies for successful implementation are highlighted, including stakeholder involvement, structured training programs, and systematic resource allocation. The study's contribution lies in its practical recommendations for educators and policymakers, aimed at enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education. By addressing the identified challenges and providing actionable strategies, this research supports the development of a more balanced and effective PAI curriculum, ultimately benefiting the holistic development of students and the educational system as a whole.

Technology Integration in Foreign Language Teacher Training Programs: Exploring Cutting-Edge Tools and Applications for Professional Development

The incorporation of technology into the training of foreign language teachers has garnered considerable interest among educators, who have increasingly acknowledged the inherent possibilities of innovative tools and applications in augmenting their professional growth. Notwithstanding, these tools allow educators to remain abreast of the most current pedagogical methodologies, augment their instructional expertise, and proficiently cater to the varied requirements of students. This study investigates the incorporation of these tools within the instructional program of educators specializing in foreign languages; with the ultimate aim of unveiling the views of relevant stakeholders on how these tools aid in strengthening their professional growth. The study involved the participation of 107 individuals, comprising both foreign language university lecturers and teacher trainers. Furthermore, a quantitative method of analysis was adopted in analyzing the research data that was collated through the use of an online questionnaire. Several significant findings were made from the research data which were presented and analyzed. The research findings revealed that technology integration seamlessly paves the way for the professional development of foreign language educators. Also, a comprehensive training program, provision of ongoing professional development opportunities, peer collaboration, and establishment of feedback and evaluation mechanisms can aid in countering major limitations of the implementation of technology integration.

Understanding medical students’ transition to and development in clerkship education: a qualitative study using grounded theory

BackgroundMedical students perceive the transition to clerkship education as stressful and challenging and view themselves as novices during their rotation in clerkship education. The developmental perspective is thus important because the transition to clerkship supports rather than hinders growth. Accordingly, this study examines medical students’ transition to clerkship and their developmental features.MethodsIn-depth interviews were conducted with 18 medical students or graduates who had completed clerkships as medical students. Based on Straussian grounded theory, the collected data were analyzed in terms of the differences between pre- and post-clerkship education.ResultsOur data analysis revealed five stages of the transition process: “anticipation and anxiety,” “reality check,” “seeking solutions,” “practical application,” and “transition and stability.” The core category, that is, “growing up from being students to being student doctors,” was driven by patients who perceived the participants as student doctors. Meanwhile, the participants recognized that having a solution that is agreed upon by colleagues was more important than knowing the correct answer. The participants undergoing the transition to clerkship showed developmental features divided into three categories: personal, social, and professional. Specifically, they attempted to balance clerkship and life through personal development, learned to navigate around the hospital and reduced tension through social development, and developed clinical competencies focused on efficiency through professional development.ConclusionsThis study explores the process of students’ transition to clerkship education and the developmental features that emerge during this period. The students were motivated by patients who perceived them as student doctors. Through the transition, they maintained a work-life balance and adapted to hospitals but developed an overly doctor-centered attitude by cultivating clinical competencies with a focus on efficiency. To develop them into medical professionals, it is essential to assist their transition and cultivate a patient-centered attitude.

Study on the Integration of Curriculum Ideology and Politics into Geography Classroom Teaching in High School

In the context of the implementation of the fundamental task of making people moral, the implementation of curriculum ideology and politics has become an inevitable trend of educational reform and development. In order to implement General Secretary's instruction that “all courses should be based on morality and provide courses that serve students' growth and success”, this study analyzes the connotation, value orientation and practice path of curriculum ideology and politics, combines the characteristics of geography, and mines out the rich elements of curriculum ideology and politcs in the teaching of geography in high school and proposes the application strategies. This study analyzes the meaning, value orientation and practice path of curriculum ideology and politics.

Bekid platform: an environment to help combat bullying at school

In recent decades, the school environment has been the scene of several cases of violence. Among these, bullying attracts attention due to its negative impacts on the personal and educational development of students. In view of this, it is necessary to think of urgent solutions to help combat this type of problem. Technological advances and the innovative environment have provided the use of tools that can assist decision-making in the school community. Therefore, the objective of this work was to develop a web platform to help identify possible cases of bullying in the school environment. The bekid system connected several important functionalities, such as: sharing information about bullying, monitoring students over time, collecting information about emotions, generating reports and a management platform for the school. It is important to highlight some of the contributions of the application created: it allows students to get closer to the school, provides better conditions for reporting aggressions and requests for help, maintains the anonymity of those who report it and can be an initiative to break a cycle that is often perpetuated by silence. This system can serve as a starting point to support strategies for dealing with bullying. All of these measures aim to help students feel in a safe environment that is conducive to the development of their learning.

Factors Influencing Education Development in West Pokot County, Kenya

The Pokot community is conservative and has resisted change in its culture from any quarter, including government policies, which have had little impact in the region since the colonial period to date. This situation has militated against school enrolment witnessed in many schools of the County and reluctance to use modern technologies in farming and SME activities. Political power has lacked recognition among the Pokots and, consequently, has had no impact on the region's social, economic, and technological developments. The purpose of this study was to establish factors influencing education development among the Pokot people of West Pokot County. The research was guided by four objectives, which included: To determine the influence of schooling on education development in West Pokot County, Kenya To investigate the influence of religion on education development in West Pokot County, Kenya To examine the influence of population explosion on education development in West Pokot County, Kenya, and To assess the influence of devolved government on education development in West Pokot County, Kenya This study was guided by the Human Capital Theory propounded by Theodore W. Schultz in 1960, who believed education and training enable the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities, which increase human value. The target population was 200,000, which is the number of people in active life who are creating wealth for their families in West Pokot County. A sample of 400 respondents was used to provide data, 100 from each constituency, namely: Kapenguria, North Pokot, South Pokot and Central Pokot. Stratified and purposive sampling techniques were used to select the respondents. Interview schedules were used to collect data, and the test-retest technique was used to test the validity and reliability of the instruments. Data collected was analyzed, and relationships between the independent and the dependent variables were established. The findings established that high levels of poverty were prevalent, and the bulk of the population was illiterate with no innovative or entrepreneurial skills. The study established that traditional education was designed to encompass control of livelihood in the region, making it difficult for new forms of education and ideas to be accepted. The study made four recommendations: The county government should expand social facilities such as schools and health units in the region The county government should abolish repugnant cultural practices The county government should provide credit facilities to the active population in the county for entrepreneurial activities, and The government and non-governmental organizations should make provision for training selected groups of the community population on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to boost wealth creation for education development

Infant Mortality, Education and Financial Development: Evidence from World Level Data Using Heterogeneous Panel Granger Causality Analysis

Education and financial development are crucial factors in achieving better health, including the reduction of infant mortality. This article investigates the causal relationship between education, financial development and infant mortality rate using annual data for 81 countries for the period 1980–2015 and employing the Emirmahmutoglu and Rose (2011) Granger causality test procedure for heterogeneous mixed panels. The results show that, individually and jointly, education and financial development Granger cause infant mortality in some countries across the major regions of the world. This suggests that improved education and a developed financial system are likely to reduce the infant mortality rate. JEL Codes: C33; E25; I

Understanding the importance of education in guiding human civilization is the primary focus of various scientific studies. Islamic education, as an integral part of the global educational journey, is no exception in academic scrutiny. This journal discusses the concept of the history of Islamic education and its role in shaping worldviews and human behavior. The author highlights various perspectives on education, including from societal and individual standpoints. These perspectives affirm that education is not just about religious knowledge alone but also encompasses the development of moral, scientific, and physical aspects. The journal discusses the history and development of Islamic education over time, from classical to modern periods. Three main periods, namely classical, medieval, and modern, are elaborated with emphasis on important stages in the history of Islamic education. The research method used is a literature review approach, collecting and analyzing various related literature through electronic media. The results and discussions elaborate on the understanding of history, the concept of Islamic educational history, and the history of Islamic education development over time, including the methodology aspects used in the research. The discussion also involves analysis of the objectives of Islamic education, the objects and scope of Islamic educational history, as well as the purposes and usefulness of studying the history of Islamic education. Through this discussion, the journal offers profound insights into the contribution of Islamic education to shaping human civilization. The conclusion drawn from this journal is that understanding the concept of the history of Islamic education has significant implications for shaping worldviews and human behavior. Thus, this study provides a solid foundation for the development of relevant and impactful Islamic education in contemporary contexts.

Diskursus Regulasi dan Kebijakan Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia

An Islamic educational institution is a place where education within the scope of Islam carries out its duties in order to achieve the ideals of Muslims. Family, mosque, majelis taklim, diniyah, madrasa, and Islamic boarding schools are Islamic educational institutions that are absolutely necessary in Indonesia in general or in a city and village area in particular. Comprehensive religious education is needed to instill appropriate moral values for the legal community in order to understand the implementation of religious rules correctly and precisely. The method used is descriptive qualitative through literature review. The results of the study show that; 1. There is a clear history and red thread of regulation regarding Islamic education in Indonesia, the development of Islamic education, and the implications of Islamic education policy for the existence of Islamic boarding schools and religious education in Indonesia. 2. Islamic education policy in Indonesia has undergone changes since the Old Order to the New Order, with an increase in the status of religious education in public schools and universities. 3. Islamic education in Indonesia has experienced significant changes and developments since the 2000s. Islamic boarding schools have adopted the formal education system, and some boarding schools have opened universities. However, the increase in the number of Islamic boarding schools has not been accompanied by an increase in quality. Law No. 18/2019 on Pesantren is expected to recognize and facilitate the development of pesantren and religious education.

Using feminist critical management studies to examine LGBTQ+ women’s experiences of inclusion and exclusion in rugby

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to examine the experiences of lesbian, bisexual, gay, takatāpui, queer, and allies (LGBTQ+) women in rugby in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Using Feminist Critical Management Studies (FCMS) the research shows the potential of these experiences to inform the development of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in sports organisations. FCMS places feminism at the centre of organizational research and seeks to disrupt hegemonic masculinity. This means that DEI policy and practice generation, and implementation, are informed by the knowledge experiences of a marginalized group, in this case, LGBTQ+ women. Mixed methods were used, comprising an online Qualtrics survey, which enabled the collection of descriptive quantitative data about 143 respondents’ demographics and experiences. The quantitative data revealed that women’s rugby is generally inclusive for LGBTQ+ community members. Of the 143 respondents, 69 also provided open text qualitative responses. The qualitative results were thematically analysed, revealing further details, such as inclusion as personal support; and inclusion as rugby culture. Constraints to inclusion were identified, as well as exclusion through traditional club environments. The respondents provided thoughts on future inclusion through the development of education and awareness. The research contributes to DEI in sport management by asking questions about how DEI knowledge is created in sport organisations, who are the guardians of that knowledge, and whether and how might sport managers adapt their practices to respectfully ensure that marginalized peoples’ views inform DEI.

Optimalisasi Proses Pembelajaran Mahasiswa PPG Seni Budaya Melalui Implementasi Edukit Berbasis Interactive Surface

This research aims to optimize the learning process of PPG Arts and Culture students through the implementation of Interactive Surface-based education. The methodology used includes needs analysis, design and development of education, as well as evaluation of the effectiveness of its implementation. This education is designed to provide a more interactive and immersive learning experience, using Interactive Surface technology that allows direct manipulation of learning content. The research results showed a significant increase in student engagement and understanding of the learning material. Evaluation through surveys and in-depth interviews confirms that this education is effective in supporting more adaptive and innovative learning strategies. This research makes an important contribution to the development of modern learning tools that are relevant to today's educational needs.
