Financial big data management and intelligence based on computer intelligent algorithm

With the acceleration of China’s economic integration process, enterprises have gained greater advantages in the fierce market competition, and gradually formed the trend of grouping and large-scale. However, as the scale of the company increases, the establishment of a branch also causes many problems. For example, in order to obtain more benefits, the business performance of the company can generate false growth, resulting in financial and operational risks. This paper analyzed the current situation and needs of enterprise financial control from two aspects of theory and practice, combined with specific engineering projects, taking ZH Group as an example, according to the actual situation of the enterprise. The article first introduces the basic situation of the enterprise; Then, the financial control strategy was designed, and different modules were designed to achieve financial control; Afterwards, use a reverse neural network to evaluate the effectiveness of financial management and risk warning; Relying on particle swarm optimization algorithm to seek the optimal solution and applying it to financial management and risk warning, in order to improve the level of introspection and risk management in decision-making. Finally, the value of computer intelligence algorithms in financial big data management is evaluated by constructing a financial risk indicator system. Through the analysis of enterprise financial management, the total asset turnover rate of ZH Group decreased by 0.39 times in 5 years. After 5 years of adjustment of the company’s business, the company’s overall operational capabilities still needed to be improved, and the company’s comprehensive business capabilities also still needed to be improved. Therefore, the application of intelligent algorithms for financial control is very necessary.

Research on the International Supply Chain Management of Chinese Bamboo Weaving and Cultural and Creative Products

With the increasing of China's international status and the acceleration of the process of global economic integration, the internationalization strategy of Chinese enterprises is getting deeper and deeper. This paper analyzes the problems and challenges faced by the international supply chain management of Chinese bamboo weaving and creative products, and puts forward a set of supply chain management model that ADAPTS to the international development. Firstly, the concept, connotation and types of supply chain management are sorted out through literature review. Secondly, this paper analyzes the current situation of international supply chain management of bamboo editing and creative products, and points out the existing problems. Thirdly, based on the theory and practice of international supply chain management, this paper puts forward a set of supply chain management model suitable for the international development of bamboo editing and creative products. Finally, taking a bamboo weaving and creative products enterprise as an example, the application effect of the supply chain management model is empirically analyzed. The results show that the supply chain management model can effectively reduce the cost and improve the efficiency, and is conducive to the international development of bamboo editing and creative products

Changes in Economic Network Patterns and Influencing Factors in the Urban Agglomeration of Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area: A Comprehensive Study

The aim of this study is to comprehensively evaluate the economic network patterns and their influencing factors of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GHMGBA) in China, considering population scale, economic development level, and land-resource endowment. By employing a modified gravity model and a social-network method, we quantitatively analyzed urban agglomeration integrity indices, such as network density, edge–core structure, cohesive-subgroup index, and urban individual index (e.g., centrality degree) of this region, encompassing nine cities in Guangdong Province and two special administrative regions. The results revealed significant changes in the economic network patterns within the GHMGBA over time. Furthermore, the quadratic assignment procedure correlation analysis index was used to identify the various factors affecting the strength of the economic interaction. The findings demonstrated an annual increase in the strength of economic interaction between cities and regions within the GHMGBA over the past 20 years, along with the emergence of a polycentric economic development pattern. The results also suggest that the spatial location and level of economic development are key determinants influencing the strength of economic linkages in this area. This study supports the conclusion that deepening exchanges and cooperation among core cities, bolstering economic development in sub-core cities, and facilitating the construction of an integrated regional transportation network will expedite the process of economic integration.

Uncovering regional typologies in Europe in terms of interregional and intraregional direct investment flows

Information regarding direct investment flows across European space is scarce, and in most of the cases at the national level. Such a scarcity limits the capacity to undertake the required analyses and to derive the corresponding conclusions on the interrelations among European regions. This is especially so considering that Europe is gradually moving from a “space of States” to a “State of spaces” and from a “space of places’’ to a “space of flows’’. In a nutshell, the pure essence of the European economic integration process is the gradual “thinning” and “melting” of (the artificial) border impediments. Thus, as the process of European economic integration is in full swing, European territories have been experiencing a period of unprecedented change, being transformed into integral parts of the European economic space. The paper uncovers regional typologies in Europe in terms of interregional and intraregional (NUTS 2 level) direct investment flows in year 2018, the year prior to the eruption of the COVID19 pandemic. To this end, the paper compiles an O-D matrix for interregional and intraregional direct investment flows in Europe, constructs tailor-made clustering indicators and employs the k-means clustering technique.

The Future of Trade and Environment: A Roadmap for Reconciling Two Competing Goals

The global market has experienced an unprecedented increase in cross-border trading, culminating in substantial economic growth for numerous nations. However, this extensive process of economic integration has cast a shadow on various associated domains. Trading activities, intricately linked to the environment due to their reliance on natural resources for production, have indisputably left their mark on global environmental conditions. International trade and environmental preservation, as distinct disciplines, operate under separate sets of laws and regulations. Environmental laws encompass multilateral environmental agreements, and regional and national regulations, while trading activities are governed by the multilateral agreements of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and bilateral agreements. The integration of international trade with environmental measures has become a contentious subject. Proponents of trade argue that it facilitates global access to environment-friendly goods and technologies, thereby facilitating the maintenance of high environmental standards. In contrast, environmentalists contend that international trade laws and practices often impede the governmental efforts to implement regulatory measures aimed at pollution prevention and environmental restoration. The WTO has faced criticism for its perceived inaction in addressing environmental concerns ensuing from trade, despite acknowledging environmental protection as an objective in the preamble of the Marrakesh Agreement. The global discourse on environmental protection has intensified, seeking to accord environmental issues the same weight as trade disputes. This article endeavours to delve into the multifaceted interactions between international trade and environmental protection, scrutinizing their regulatory mechanisms while highlighting the underlying grounds for the disputes that arise between these two realms. In this regard, our research notes that despite being a little country, Singapore's participation in international economic and political integration processes is extensive and its role is great. The article also argues that joining international economic and political integration processes is a statehood tradition in Singapore. To explain this in more detail, the historical dynamics of Singapore are analyzed, and then its international integration policy is discussed today.

Examining the Trends and Influencing Factors of International Trade in the Era of New Economic Globalization

In the context of the new era of economic globalization, the development of international trade holds immense significance in fostering global economic recovery and advancing the process of global economic integration. Against this backdrop, aspects such as trade liberalization, digital trade, trade in services, and the influence of multinational companies are becoming increasingly prominent. Sustainable tourism development and potential implications for the tourism sector in the Vietnamese Mekong delta in the context of climate change

Mekong delta is one of the most vulnerable delta in the world to climate change. Tourism is the rising economic sector in the region and is expected as one of the sectors to contribute much to the process of economic transformation and integration. However, this sector suffers from the climate-changing process due to its impacts on tourism resources, tourism products, and tourism infrastructures. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive literature review of ongoing research on the concept and application of sustainable tourism development and climate change in the Vietnamese Mekong delta. The research discusses the literature on the concept of sustainable tourism development and offers an in-depth evaluation of the correlation between tourism and climate change in the area. In reality, there is insufficient strategic planning for the tourism industry in the context of climate change. Sustainable tourism development is recommended as a vital approach for the regional tourism sector, offering long-term adaptation to climate change in the context of the Mekong delta.

TRADE RELATIONS OF THE ALTAI TERRITORY AND THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN IN THE FIELD OF FOOD

Currently, the processes of globalization in the international arena are intensifying, and processes of economic integration are taking place. The Russian Federation and the Altai Territory, as its subject, must look for opportunities to develop foreign economic activity, taking into account international tensions associated with political decisions.
 The Altai Territory and the Republic of Kazakhstan have long-standing historical ties, which continue today in the sphere of economics and trade. Both territories are located at the intersection of many transport routes, which creates additional opportunities for the development of trade relations. One of the main sectors of the economy of the Altai Territory is agriculture. The Republic of Kazakhstan is also a major producer of agricultural products. In this regard, the prospects for the development of trade relations between the Altai Territory and Kazakhstan in this area are very high. Mutual supplies of products can become the basis for strengthening economic ties between them.
 The article analyzes the trends in foreign trade between the two countries and highlights the key problems of the foreign economic partnership between Russia and Kazakhstan, which negatively impact foreign economic, political and cultural relations.

African Continental Free Trade Agreement's Conditional Most Favoured Nation: A Necessary Compromise?

AbstractThe inception of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) constitutes a major advancement in Africa's economic integration process. Diverging from what appears to be the norm in contemporary trade treaties, the agreement adopts a conditional Most Favoured Nation (MFN) clause hinged on the principle of reciprocity. Without the promise to reciprocate preferential treatment, the beneficiary state does not assume the right to demand MFN treatment. In broader discussions, this feature has been criticized for possessing the tendency to restrict trade. However, examining it in the context of Africa's trade paradigm, this paper argues that the non-automaticity of the AfCFTA's MFN clause is a cardinal feature safeguarding its existence.

Economic Convergence Among Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Members. A Comparative Analysis, 1960–2020

The process of global economic integration is justified by the primary goal of inclusive and balanced growth for all economies, so it is relevant to identify the extent to which this goal has been achieved. This research evaluates whether the member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) have experienced economic convergence during the 1960–1990 (pre-APEC) and 1990–2020 (post-APEC) periods. For this purpose, beta, sigma and gamma convergence are estimated, which are methodological approaches proposed by Barro and Sala-i-Martin (1991, Brookings Papers on Economic Activity, 1991(1), 170–182) and Marchante et al. (2006, Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada Working Papers No. 2006-05), for APEC as a region and for the high- and middle-income economies that conform it. The results show that the process of economic convergence among APEC members intensified after its formation in 1989 and that the region can be categorized as an ‘economic convergence club’. As well as that, the high- and middle-income groups are converging towards their respective stationary state.

The challenges hampering South African economic growth integration process in the sub-region

The study aims to assess the issues and challenges hampering policy implementation in the Southern African region for economic growth. Qualitatively, this paper collected data and analysed them based on content, using secondary sources from different domains, including Google Scholar, and Scorpius repositories. Findings demonstrate that the design and structure of the African regional development within the integration schemes is around inward-looking industrialization intended to facilitate economic participation costs for member states. This often remains unevenly distributed among member states. Most countries in Africa linger highly reliant on agriculture and yet suffer from high levels of unemployment and food insecurity on the continent. The study contributes to the existing debate on regional and economic integration in the Southern African sub-regional for social-economic development with the adoption of ethical value leadership and accountability. In these situations, it is logical to expect the “African regional integration in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) sub-regional schemes to be most focused on developing synergies that may exist to promote both socio-economic development and regional security across borders. This may hamper policy implementation through good governance and an ethically valued approach.

STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS OF EFFICIENT TAX ADMINISTRATION DEVELOPMENT IN RA

In the Republic of Armenia, although the problems of improving the tax system, increasing competitiveness, improving the business environment of the national economy, and ensuring the necessary tax revenues for the state budget have always been solved with separate legislative amendments, nevertheless, the current trends in the development of the world economy, new challenges, regional developments and ongoing within the framework of economic unions integration processes have created an objective need to re-regulate tax relations. In the modern market economy, the tax policy of the state is oriented towards high-quality and competent tax administration, which significantly depends on the efficiency of the tax system. The article focused on the need for methodological reinterpretation of the theoretical problems of tax administration and tax administration was considered as a part of the management of the relations established between taxpayers and the tax authority.
 

The optimized development of China's service industry in the “Belt and Road” regional value chain: A social network analysis

AbstractThe optimized development of service industry in the value chain can inject strong impetus into economic growth. The “Belt and Road” initiative provides a new path for China's service industry. This article combines value‐added accounting method and social network analysis method to study the network environment of service trade in the “Belt and Road” region and the individual characteristics of China's service trade. At the same time, the article deeply analyzes the factors that affect the optimized development of China's service industry in the “Belt and Road” regional value chain from the perspective of trade relations and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions accordingly. The study found that the “Belt and Road” regional service trade network has high density and shows a trend of blockization. As a core node in the regional service trade network, China has strong subjective initiative, connecting link, and independence in trade relations. Moreover, the optimization of China's service trade relations can further enhance its position in the “Belt and Road” regional value chain. At the same time, it can also enhance political and cultural identity, enhance China's discourse power, and promote the process of regional economic integration. Therefore, China's service industry can use the “Belt and Road” initiative to innovate the trade relationship model and realize the optimal development.

Migration in Central Asian Countries in the Context of EEU Integration and New International Realities

Integration processes in the Eurasian space are the result of the evolution and transformation of approaches to cooperation and rapprochement of the members of the association, including the convergence of the development of all “four freedoms” of the EEU (movement of goods, movement of services, movement of labor and movement of capital). The EEU is now the only effective economic integration association in Eurasia, and the migration component is one of the key aspects that influences the other three and increases the integration potential of Central Asian countries that are not members of the associations. This study is aimed at analyzing the integration potential of Central Asian countries through the prism of existing and possible migration effects. The study carried out an overview analysis of the potential of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the possibility of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan joining the EEU, with an emphasis on the potential and role of labor migration for these countries in the context of the EEU. The relevance of the study is due not only to the importance of economic integration processes in the Eurasian space through the prism of migration effects for Central Asia, but also in general in the context of gaining important experience, processes of unification and raising common standards throughout the Eurasian space, and in particular, in the migration field. The effects of labor migration within the EEU for Central Asia will not only be indicators of rapprochement and integration, but also the expansion of cooperation in general at the regional and interregional level. Such experience is also important for the EAEU, since it is important for the Union, along with expanding the list of economic partners, to develop new mechanisms for coordinating labor migration.

The South Seas and Islands in Vietnam’s Maritime Strategy: Position and Development Potential

Over 1,000 kilometers of islands and archipelagos make up Vietnam’s southern coastline. The following points are emphasized in the article based on surveys and secondary sources: (1) the benefits of the Southern Sea and Islands’ geographic location, environmental conditions, and natural resources; (2) the Southern Sea and Islands’ role in Vietnam’s marine economic development strategy; and (3) approaches to the sustainable development of the Southern Sea and Islands in Vietnam’s overall marine and island development strategy. The findings of the study indicate that the Southern Sea and Islands have abundant and diverse potential in terms of energy, maritime transport, ecosystems, and tourism, serving as a critical location for national security and defense for the region and the whole country. The development of marine and island values in the southern region of the country is a key component of Vietnam’s marine economic development strategy, which also emphasizes harmonious growth. Focusing on synchronized and harmonious actions is essential in the process of taking advantage of the Southern Sea and Islands’ benefits for the process of global economic integration. It is also important to promote the involvement of numerous economic sectors in the process of utilizing and sustainably growing the marine economy.

Economic integration of temporary and permanent migrants: Between migrant and return migrant status

This article examines the economic integration and reintegration outcomes and processes of temporary and permanent migrants in the case of rural-to-urban migrants in China. Using a life-course perspective, I measure the integration levels of both temporary and permanent migrants in urban destinations and rural hometowns over time. Through this measurement, I investigate the differences between temporary and permanent migrants in terms of economic integration in urban destinations and reintegration in rural hometowns. The findings suggest that temporary migrants experience lower economic integration and reintegration levels than permanent migrants, highlighting the persistent advantages of permanent migrants over time. Additionally, I explore and compare the underlying processes that explain this gap for temporary and permanent migrants in both urban destinations and rural hometowns over time, including the selection process and the heterogeneous integration process. The results indicate that permanent migrants are consistently more educated than temporary migrants, reflecting a consistently positive selection of permanent migrants. Furthermore, temporary migrants rely more on individual traits, such as gender and marital status, than permanent migrants for integration and reintegration. By considering both the integration and reintegration of temporary and permanent migrants, this study provides a holistic and dynamic understanding of their integration outcomes and processes. The underlying mechanisms, the theoretical contributions of these mechanisms, and the implications of these findings to a broader migration context are also discussed.

Improving the legal policy system to develop the social work sector in Vietnam in the context of international integration

Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW of the Fourth Plenum of the 12th Central Committeeof the Communist Party of Vietnam (“Resolution 06”) [1] outlines strategies and policiesfor effectively implementing the process of international economic integration whilemaintaining political and social stability in the context of Vietnam's participation in newgeneration free trade agreements. The resolution highlights the importance of addressingsocial issues, including developing the social work sector in Vietnam. In accordance withthe government's Resolution No. 22/NQ-CP on May 28, 2009[2], the Prime Minister ofVietnam issued Decision No. 32/2010/QD-TTg (“Decision 32”) [3] to approve the plan fordeveloping social work from 2010 to 2020. However, 12 years have passed since then, andmany objectives have yet to be achieved. The lack of legal tools is currently hindering thedevelopment of the social work sector, making it necessary to improve the legal policysystem in Vietnam to promote the sector's development in the context of internationalintegration.

Is there a pollution haven in European Union global value chain participation?

AbstractThis paper aims to test the pollution haven hypothesis within the European Union (EU), especially among newcomer countries, through the participation in global value chains (GVCs). The study used a combination of multiregional input–output method and multilevel mixed econometric analysis to investigate the relationship between global value chain trade flows, foreign direct investment flows, energy consumption, and carbon emissions across countries, sectors, and time. The study tested both the “pollution haven” and “pollution halo” hypotheses and found a non-linear relationship between foreign capital flows and carbon emissions, which became less relevant after the economic integration process. The results suggest the existence of a pollution haven in Europe. Although Eastern economies still exhibit problematic issues in relation to pollution control, they have made significant progress in reducing their emissions intensity. The conclusions include some policy recommendations based on the main findings of the research.
