Further elaboration of the problem concerning the dynamics of the earth's crust is connected with the overall practical problem solution. First, it concerns the prediction of seismic and volcanic events and resource location in the crust. Following the example of large sedimentary basins 3$̄Dneprovsko—Donetskaya depression (introplatform foredeep) and sub-Caucasian foredeep — the relationship of Recent vertical crustal movement to the solution of the problem concerning the location and formation of oil and gas fields has been studied since 1972. The main objects of the research are the faults of different type and order determining the block structure of sedimentary basins and controlling the location of oil and gas fields. The peculiarities of Recent vertical crustal movement distribution are determined with the existence of narrow (1–3 km), extend (to 150 km), zones of high-amplitude (4–6 to 10–15 mm) movement variations. The relation of these zones to the faults in the crust was studied on the following grounds: (1) Complex analysis of the existing geological—geophysical data; study of the gravitation field value at the time of rerunning of leveling. (2) Tectonophysical interpretation by modeling and theoretical calculations. The degree of recent activity of the faults changes according to their
