The article conducts a scientific study of existing approaches to the interpretation of the term "e-business" and related concepts of "e-commerce", "e-commerce". Clarification of these concepts from the standpoint of the current state of development of e-business in the world as a whole and in Ukraine in particular is proposed. It is proved that e-business is defined as a type of special entrepreneurship, which is carried out with the use of information technologies for the effective transformation of commercial relations of this enterprise with its stakeholders in order to improve the efficiency of business activities and the development of business processes of various types. The modern structure of e-business has been formed, which includes components characteristic of today, each of which to a certain extent reproduces certain stages of e-business development. Three main stages of evolution of e-business development and its technologies have been identified and substantiated. At the first stage of enterprise e-business development, it is fully integrated with e-commerce, thereby providing an opportunity for interactive interaction with consumers. In the second stage of its development, e-business integrates its web servers and internal business systems to implement e-commerce services and services. In the e-business systems of the third stage of development, the focus shifts from the supplier to the consumer. The proposed structure of stages of development of e-business from the moment of its inception to the present fully reproduces the evolution of this type of business.
