Students' Abilities in Reading Infographics Text in Junior High Schools

Infographic text is a visual text in the form of a combination of images, graphics, illustrations, and typography that serves to facilitate readers in understanding information. Therefore, infographic text is presented with an attractive appearance by increasing the number of illustrations and a little text. The widespread use of infographic text in every aspect of life today requires everyone to have adequate ability to read infographic text. Therefore, in this study the author conducted research on the ability of junior high school students to read infographic texts. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The object of the research is students of Class VIII of Junior High School in one of the districts in Central Java province. The results showed that the ability to read infographic texts of junior high school students in one of the districts in Central Java still needs to be improved. It can be seen from the low score obtained in doing infographic text questions. There are several efforts that teachers can make to improve students' ability to read infographic texts, namely by increasing visual literacy, improving reading skills, providing knowledge about infographics, and providing practice reading infographic texts.

PEMETAAN ANCAMAN BENCANA TANAH LONGSOR BERBASIS SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (Studi Kasus : Kecamatan Bener, Kecamatan Loano dan Kecamatan Kaligesing, Kabupaten Purworejo)

Purworejo Regency is one of the districts in Central Java that often experiences natural disasters. Based on the Indonesian Disaster Risk Index, Purworejo Regency is in the high category or prone to natural disasters. Based on BPBD data from Purworejo Regency throughout 2021, Purworejo Regency often experiences landslides with high landslide intensity in Bener, Loano and Kaligesing Districts. This condition is the basis for this research as one of the disaster mitigation efforts in the sub-district area. This research is based on a Geographic Information System using Minister of Public Works Regulation No.22/PRT/M/2007 and AHP. Both methods were verified with landslide disaster event data. The results of landslide threat mapping based on Minister of Public Works Regulation No.22/PRT/M/2007 showed that the high zone threat was 6.67% or an area of 1,561,205 Ha, the medium zone was 77.52% or an area of 18,140,315 Ha, and 15.80% or an area of 3,698.145 Ha is in the low category. Meanwhile, the AHP results showed that the high threat area for landslides was 12.45% or an area of 2,913,889 Ha, the medium zone was 77.14%, or an area of 18,050,276 Ha, and 10.41% or an area of 2,435,500 Ha was in the low category.Keywords: Landslides, Permen PU No.22/PRT/M/2007, AHP

Influence Home Industry Kampoeng Batik Laweyan To Community Economy in the Laweyan Region of Surakarta

Surakarta is a city that is famous for its culture, industry, etc. Surakarta is also one of the districts in Central Java which has superior potential and functions in various sectors which can be utilized to improve welfare and increase people's income. One of them is in the industrial sector. A small and medium home industry that can increase people's income is the batik home industry. In Laweyan Batik Village, Laweyan District, Surakarta City, there are several batik home industries that can increase the income of the local community. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the batik home industry on increasing the income of the people of Kampung Batik Laweyan, Laweyan District, Surakarta City. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used include: 1). Informant observations, 2). Field survey, 3). In-depth interviews, 4). Documentation. The results of the research show that the batik home industry has an influence in increasing the income of the surrounding community. The efforts made by the owner of the batik home industry to increase the income of the surrounding community are by taking batik home industry workers from the surrounding community and increasing the batik production output and expanding the market and promoting it through the media. social services so that it will increase workers' income

Geology of the Kebasen Paleovolcano in Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia

Abstract The new interpretation on geology of Kebasen district in Central Java, Indonesia which is located in the middle parts of Sunda Arc indicates the existence of a paleovolcano. This conclusion is achieved through 1:25,000 geological mapping with a focus on volcanic facies, characterization of lithology types, mineralogy, and fossil analysis, to clarify its volcanic history and paleo-environment. Laboratory analysis works on representative rock samples are done using petrography and fossil identification on calcareous sedimentary members. Our research results conclude that Kebasen paleovolcano was a composite volcano with a diameter of about 8 km, elongated in NW-SE orientation, with Kebasen city located at the SW rim of the old volcanic edifice. The volcanic history and resulting volcanic rocks consisted of two contrasting volcanic stages. The first one was explosive caldera-forming eruptions that produced thick and partly welded pyroclastic rocks, dominated by pyroclastic breccia at the lower parts and finer tuff members at the upper parts. After caldera-forming eruptions, volcanic activity was followed by effusive eruptions of basaltic to andesitic lavas that covered the caldera floor. The lavas have abundant pillow structures indicating a submarine environment, intermediate to basaltic composition, and porphyritic texture, with plagioclase and pyroxene as the most abundant phenocryst minerals. Available rock geochemistry data demonstrate that lavas have mafic to intermediate compositions, with magma affinity at the transition of calc-alkaline to tholeiitic series. Results of geomorphological and lithology association analysis conclude that the research area was part of the central to distal facies of a paleovolcano complex, with the paleo depositional environment in the open marine environment. The results of fossil analysis on calcareous sedimentary rocks between volcanic layers indicate that the age of volcanism was Early Pliocene (N18) with the paleobathymetry transitioning from upper-middle bathyal to outer–middle neritic, which were parts of the continental margin. It is concluded that Kebasen paleovolcano is a newly identified submarine caldera-type Pliocene volcano within the middle parts of the Sunda Arc in Central Java, Indonesia.

Identifikasi Mission Drift Pada Keadilan Jender dan Inklusi Sosial di Lembaga Keuangan Mikro Syariah

Islamic Microfinance institutions (IMFIs) their operations are expected to not only consider financial performance, but must accommodate the principles of gender justice, because humans both men, women and people with disabilities are equally as khalifatullah fil ard to manage the earth as God wills. However, several studies show a shift in the mission carried out by IMFIs. This research aims to determine the forms of mission drift that occur at IMFIs, especially Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil in 3 districts in Central Java, District of Jepara, Kudus and Demak. These three regions were chosen because they have different levels of IMFIs development. The research results show that the forms of mission drift that occur include: (1) Differences in the accessibility of financial services based on gender; (2) Changes in IMFIs customer priorities; (3) Product changes that prioritize bankable customers; (4) Increasing of Margin, Ujroh profit sharing portion and costs; (5) Changing the focus of financing to be more profit-oriented. The implication of the results of this research is that MFIs need to mainstream gender by paying attention to the portion of financing and absorbing public funds in a Gender-equity manner by encouraging balance between the portions of men and women. Regulators need to carry out strict supervision so that their commitment to maintaining the IMFIs mission values, apart from that, stimulus to institutions that prioritize gender justice also needs to be provided.

Characteristics of Asymptomatic COVID-19 In SARS-COV-2 Vaccine Trial Screening Participants

Introduction We conducted a Phase I SARS-CoV-2 vaccine trial in March 2022. During the screening, we identified a significant number of asymptomatic COVID-19 cases among the candidate participants. We aimed to highlight the clinical characteristics among these asymptomatic individuals as compared to subjects negative for SARS-CoV-2. Methods This observational study was conducted during participant screening for a Phase I SARS-CoV-2 vaccine trial in Jepara and Mranggen districts in Central Java, Semarang, Indonesia. Participants who reported no symptoms associated with COVID-19, confirmed by physical examinations, were included. Data on laboratory markers were documented. An asymptomatic case was defined as showing no clinical symptoms and signs of SARS-CoV-2 infection with a positive SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR result. Individuals who tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 were included for comparison. A chi-square test was employed to assess the differences between the two groups, with a p-value <0.05 is considered significant. Results A total of 219 participants were screened and included. One hundred and six participants (48.4%) had positive SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR results, with mean Ct values of 28.29 +/- 6.74 for the helicase gene. There was no significant difference in demographic characteristics, physical examination, and laboratory findings (p-value >0.05) among individuals with positive and negative SARS-CoV-2. Conclusion In our vaccine trial screening phase, almost half were ineligible due to having asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections. In addition, it is necessary that people with asymptomatic COVID-19 infection still need to be concerned because they have the same transmission potential.

IMPLEMENTATION OF LSTM (LONG SHORT TERM MEMORY) ALGORITHM TO PREDICT WEATHER IN CENTRAL JAVA

Agro-indutrial agricultural production such as red onions in Indonesia has a very important share in driving Indonesia's economic growth, especially in Central Java province which contributed 28.15% of the total national red onion production in 2021. Weather conditions have a major influence on the red onion planting process until the red onions are ready to be harvested. In this study, the objective is to predict various types of weather such as rainfall, air temperature, and air humidity in seven districts in Central Java, namely Brebes, Temanggung, Demak, Boyolali, Kendal, Pati, and Tegal. To do this, the use of the LSTM (Long Short Term Memory) algorithm with its ability to store memory longer than RNN will be reliable for predicting various types of weather in the future. This research was developed with the CRISP-DM (Cross Industry Process Model for Data Mining) method which has a goal-oriented approach, this method is a mature and widely accepted method in Data Mining with various applications in Machine Learning. With the final results from 39 models by using the evaluation of the average value of train MSE 0.013, test RMSE 0.11, test MSE of 0.02, test RMSE 0.12 and succeed to predict 5 days or months ahead from the last data that is provided.

SKILL-BASED MADRASAH MANAGEMENT IN INCREASING STUDENT INDEPENDENCE AT MADRASAH MA AL-IRSYAD GAJAH

Madrasah Aliyah Al-Irsyad in Demak district in Central Java is one of the madrasahs that conducts skills-based programs. Good educational administration may be an essential component of the school. School management may be effective when it combines numerous traits, such as organizational leadership, curriculum leadership, supervisory leadership, and management. It is envisaged that establishing a skills program would help students develop their human resources while also improving the quality of education in general. Pelatihan Pembuatan Minyak Daun Bawang Untuk Ibu-Ibu Rumah Tangga desa Sumbung Kecamatan Cepogo Kabupaten Boyolali

Boyolali is one of the districts in Central Java which is geographically located on two mountainous plains which are rich in natural potential. Cepogo subdistrict is part of Boyolali district which makes agriculture one of the main economic activities. As an effort to explore the economic potential hidden in leeks in Sumbung village, located in Cepogo sub-district, Boyolali Regency, training was held on making leek oil. Leek oil can be a high-value product with broad market potential. Leeks are used in cooking and have benefits for lowering cholesterol levels. The aim of this training is to improve the skills and knowledge of the Sumbung Village community in the leek oil production process and to initiate the development of new MSMEs in Sumbung Village. It is hoped that this training can help the community to utilize leeks more effectively and develop micro-enterprises at the household level.

Analisis Konten Peraturan Daerah Perlindungan dan Pemberdayaan Petani di Jawa Tengah (Peraturan Daerah Tahun 2015-2022)

Central Java Province has become one of the national food reservoirs. Ironically, based on farmers' welfare indicators, the characteristics of poor households are based on income, with the majority working in the agricultural sector. The reason is that there are still problems and challenges in the agricultural sector. Therefore, there is a need for policies that can help the condition. In an attempt to intervene in the welfare of farmers, the local government has issued policies relating to the protection and empowerment of the farmers. There are 18 districts in Central Java that have issued regional regulations. In this study using the method of content analysis from Krippendorff (2004) to look at the portrait of the strategy of protection and empowerment of farmers in Central Java. An analysis was carried out to see potential strategies in regional regulation in solving problems and challenges in the agricultural sector. The findings show that strategies for protecting farmers and empowering farmers in general have the potential to address problems and challenges in the agricultural sector. Further policies need to lead to digital farming and specifically regulate issues in the agricultural subsector.

ANALISIS KERAWANAN LONGSOR LAHAN DI KECAMATAN NGARGOYOSO KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR TAHUN 2023

Karanganyar Regency is one of the districts in Central Java that has natural disasters in the form of landslides caused by varying slopes, with Ngargoyoso District having a high level of landslide vulnerability. This research aims to determine the vulnerability to landslides in Ngargoyoso District. The method involves analyzing land units using scoring and weighting of six key parameters: slope, rock structure, soil type, fault location, rainfall, and land vegetation cover, which are then arranged as an overlay. The research results identified 94 land units divided into two classes of vulnerability to landslides: medium class and high class. The medium vulnerability class covers an area of ​​3,063.90 hectares or around 49.63% of the total area of ​​Ngargoyoso District. In comparison, the high vulnerability class has an area of ​​3,063.90 hectares, or around 50.37% of the total area of ​​the subdistrict. These results provide a clear picture of the vulnerability to landslides in the region, which can be used as a basis for disaster mitigation planning and better land management.

Development of Biodiversity E-Booklet Based on Local Wisdom of Jepara Regency

This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) which aims to develop biodiversity e-booklets based on local wisdom of Jepara Regency for grade X high school students. Local wisdom is the potential of an area that has noble values and is passed down from generation to generation so that it characterizes the area. Integrating local wisdom in learning is one of the efforts to maintain the existence of local wisdom amid the swift flow of globalization. Jepara Regency is one of the districts in Central Java that still has a lot of local wisdom. Local wisdom in Jepara Regency can be associated with biodiversity material and used as a contextual and interesting biology learning resource. The results of this study indicate that the validity of material experts in the criteria is very valid with a percentage of 92.18%, the results of the validity of media experts in very valid criteria with a percentage of 97%. From the feasibility test of the students' response, it shows very valid criteria with a percentage of 90%, and the feasibility test of the teacher's response shows very valid criteria with a percentage of 93%. Based on expert validity, initial testing, and feasibility testing, it can be concluded that the biodiversity e-booklet based on local wisdom of Jepara Regency is feasible to use on biodiversity material.

Implementation of Sustainable Waste Management with the Zero Waste Concept Towards a Banyumas Eco-City

Sustainable waste management is an important aspect of building an environmentally friendly city. Banyumas, a district in Central Java, Indonesia, has taken steps to implement sustainable waste management towards Banyumas Eco City by implementing the zero waste concept. The Zero Waste concept is not just about recycling but rather a completely transformed resource and waste management system. The aim of this research is to analyze and evaluate the implementation of sustainable waste management in Banyumas, as well as its impact on the environment and local communities. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach. The results of this research show that Banyumas has implemented various strategies for sustainable waste management. One of the steps taken is public education and awareness about the importance of good waste management. Programs such as distributing rubbish bins, campaigns to reduce the use of single-use plastics, and training on organic waste processing have been carried out by local governments and environmental institutions. Apart from that, Banyumas has also developed adequate infrastructure for waste management. This includes the construction of a modern final disposal site (TPA) with adequate sanitation, as well as waste sorting and recycling facilities. Implementation of environmentally friendly technology, such as the use of renewable energy in waste processing, has also been carried out. The impact of implementing sustainable waste management in Banyumas has been seen. Environmental quality has improved, with significant reductions in air and water pollution. Apart from that, local communities also experience economic benefits, such as new job opportunities in the waste management sector.

The Socio-cultural Context of Barriers to Exclusive Breastfeeding Practices among Mothers in Karanganyar District Central Java Province

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding has an important role in preventing stunting among children due to chronic malnutrition. According to Indonesia Health Profile 2020, approximately 33.9% of children under six months were not exclusively breastfed. One of the challenges to achieving successful exclusive breastfeeding comes from socio-cultural aspects. Method: This mixed-methods study examined the socio-cultural context of barriers to exclusive breastfeeding among mothers. For a cross-sectional study in Karanganyar District, Central Java Province, a total of 706 participating mothers with children aged between 6–59 months were interviewed using a structured questionnaire in 2021. In addition, in-depth interviews with mothers were conducted to enrich the findings related to the obstacles in giving exclusive breastfeeding. Result: The binary logistic regression found that male children (AOR= 1.64, 95%CI (1.06, 2.56), children living in low-income households (AOR= 2.48, 1.25, 4.92), children with low-educated mothers (AOR= 8.84, 95%CI (3.83, 20.36), children with working mothers (AOR= 6.45, 95%CI (3.79, 10.98), children with pre lacteal feeding (AOR= 5.67, 95%CI (2.33, 13.75) were more likely to have nonexclusive breastfeeding. This study also revealed that 36,1% of mothers in Karanganyar District gave honey as pre-lacteal feeding to the newborn, which hindered exclusive breastfeeding practices. The qualitative approach also confirms this finding. Conclusion: Therefore, it is important to strengthen health promotion programs related to exclusive breastfeeding to mothers and the family through the life cycle approach based on the local context.

Analysis of E-Government implementation in public services: study on personnel agency and human resource development in Banyumas Regency

The Banyumas Regency Government passed Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2012 concerning the Master Plan for E-Government Development in the Banyumas Regency. Banyumas Regency is the only district in Central Java with a regional regulation on E-Government and has received many awards in the field of Technology. This study aims to determine the implementation of E-Government at BKPSDM and the factors that support and hinder the implementation of E-Government at BKPSDM in Banyumas Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data analyzed in this study comes from primary data, namely informants as research objects are BKPSDM experienced in E-Government development, and secondary data, namely documents, relevant research results, journals, books, statistical data, and other sources. The data in this study were analyzed using triangulation techniques. The results of the study stated that the implementation of E-Government in personnel administration services at the Banyumas Regency Personnel and Human Resource Development Agency was quite good, as evidenced by the many programs that were targeted throughout the year and continued to develop at each stage. Factors supporting the success of E-Government implementation in Banyumas Regency are communication, for example, transmission, consistency, clarity of information, and adequate infrastructure resources. The obstacle they faced was that they were overwhelmed because of the small number of personnel in terms of technical personnel.

Felling and bucking of rosewood (Darbergia latifolia) related to harvesting productivity in Indonesi

Forest in Java generally is managed by a state-owned company named Perhutani. The most species planted by Perhutani is teak, but in one district in Central Java, Indonesia was planted by rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) or sonokeling (the vernacular name). We researched harvesting rosewood's productivity in the Pati District of Central Java, Indonesia. The research objectives were to determine the felling and bucking of harvesting productivity and identify the working element of felling and bucking. Also, it analyzed the relationship between the diameter of tree felled related to working time, and the relationship between the amount of lumber in bucking in each log related to bucking time. The result showed that the harvesting productivity of rosewood on average was 2.90 m3/hour. This harvesting productivity was higher than in other locations in Java. In other locations in Java, harvesting productivity was 2.1 m3/hour. We found that an increase in tree diameter felled will increase the felling time, and the amount of lumber in bucking each tree will crease the bucking time. There were six working elements of effective work for felling and five effective working elements for bucking activities. Ineffective time of working element more than 20 % they occurred in bucking activity. The personal delay of the chainsaw operator caused it. This ineffective time can be reduced in order to increase productivity.

Analysis Role and Contribution of The Agricultural Sector in Sukoharjo District

Sukoharjo Regency is one of the buffer districts in Central Java apart from Klaten Regency. Sukoharjo Regency has a potential agricultural sector, so this sector is the region's mainstay. This study aims to identify the role of the agricultural sector in economic development by analyzing the agricultural sector's performance (basis/not) and knowing the agricultural sector's contribution to the Gross Regional domestic product. The data used in this research is time series data from 2013-2017, sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of Sukoharjo Regency. The data analysis method used in this research is Location Quotient and Contribution. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the agricultural sector in Sukoharjo district was a basic sector, while the agricultural sector's contribution to the total Gross Regional Domestic Product was the highest in 2013, with a contribution of 9.86%. PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT ATAS KINERJA DANA DESA PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH

Empirically, the allocation of Village Funds has the potential to increase the output of infrastructure, health, and education, but is considered unable to improve welfare yet. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the assessment of the village community itself on the utilization of the Village Fund in their respective villages. This study aims to obtain the perception of rural communities in the Central Java Province regarding the performance of the Village Fund over the last few years. This research was conducted using a survey method to measure people's perceptions and then presented descriptively. Aspects that were measured in this survey are the development of physical development, assistance to the community, the adequacy of basic community needs, village apparatus services, as well as accountability, and community participation. As many as 487 respondents from 28 districts in Central Java filled out this survey. The results of the study indicated that during the last period, the village has experienced significant physical development, however, aspects of assistance to the community and services to the community still need to be improved.

Building Economic Competitiveness In Central Java based on Information Technology and Locality

Collaboration with technology is the best strategy to create regional competitiveness in this era. However, adjustments to locality elements must still be included because it is the key and capital of success. The purpose of this study is to develop a strategy to build the competitiveness of the Central Java region based on technology and locality with the Pentahelix approach. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The study is based on qualitative research with the Pentahelix approach. The second stage is developing a technology and locality-based platform implemented in one of the districts in Central Java. The results of the first research phase are in the form of an analysis of the conditions of Central Java which can be capital in increasing regional competitiveness and can be realized in the form of a digital platform with the Pentahelix approach. The results of the second study are digital platforms in the form of technology and locality-based apps. The new thing offered in this research is the R&D method used to develop a strategy to increase the competitiveness of the Central Java region.
