In this study, two Memecoin Twitter networks, that are, June and December 2022, were collected and compared. Because Twitter is frequently employed as social media channel among memecoins, it is critical to examine its activities. We gathered several kinds of finance and user data regarding memecoins from Coinmarketcap.com. Also, data about their Twitter accounts' followings, followers, mentions, replies, and retweets were gathered by using the its API. A network was formed with the collected tweets. The comparison between two points in terms of the following-follower and mentions networks showed that both density and clustering coefficient values increased over time. However, it must be noted that the mention network's average distance value reduced over time. Also, the top ten betweenness centralities of the mention network declined in December compared to June. The ERGM findings are as follows. The following-follower network confirmed the homophily of transitivity and age, which was not shown in June, and, in the mention network, attribute variables affected network properties between June and December. This study is significant since it examined the memecoin networks at two different points over time.

Thioclava litoralis sp. nov., a novel species of alphaproteobacterium, isolated from surface seawater.

A Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped, non-motile bacterium, designated as FTW29T, was isolated from surface seawater sampled in Futian district, Shenzhen, China. Growth of strain FTW29T was observed at 15-42 ℃ (optimum, 28-30 ℃), pH 4.0-9.0 (optimum, pH 5.5-7.5) and in the presence of 0.5-10% NaCl (optimum, 3.0% NaCl). Strain FTW29T showed 95.0-96.8% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity to various type strains of the genera Thioclava, Sinirhodobacter, Rhodobacter, Haematobacter and Frigidibacter of the family Paracoccaceae, and its most closely related strains were Thioclava pacifica DSM 10,166T (96.8%) and Thioclava marina 11.10-0-13T (96.7%). The phylogenomic tree constructed on the bac120 gene set showed that strain FTW29T formed a clade with the genus Thioclava, with a bootstrap value of 100%. The evolutionary distance values between FTW29T and type strains of the genus Thioclava were 0.17-0.19, which are below the recommended standard (0.21-0.23) for defining a novel genus in the family Paracoccaceae. In strain FTW29T, the major fatty acids identified were summed feature 8 (C18:1ω7c) and C16:0, and the predominant respiratory quinones were ubiquinone-10 and ubiquinone-9. The composition of polar lipids in strain FTW29T included diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, an unidentified phospholipid, an unidentified aminolipid, two unidentified glycolipids and an unidentified lipid. The genome of strain FTW29T comprised one circle chromosome and six plasmids, with a G + C content of 61.4%. The average nucleotide identity, average amino acid identity, and digital DNA-DNA hybridization values between strain FTW29T and seven type strains of the genus Thioclava were 76.6-78.4%, 53.2-56.4% and 19.3-20.4%, respectively. Altogether, the phenotypic, phylogenetic and chemotaxonomic evidence illustrated in this study suggested that strain FTW29T represents a novel species of the genus Thioclava, with the proposed name Thioclava litoralis sp. nov. The type strain is FTW29T (= KCTC 82,841T = MCCC 1K08523T).

Dissimilarity measures based on the application of Hamming distance to generate controlled probabilistic tests

Objectives. The problem of constructing dissimilarity measures based on the application of the Hamming distance to generate controlled random binary test sets is solved. The main goal of this article is to develop methods for determining the Hamming distance for the achievability of finding the difference between test sets when they coincide according to estimates of other difference measures.Methods. Based on the Hamming distance used in the theory and practice of generating controlled random tests, new dissimilarity measures are proposed for two binary test n-bit patterns. The basis of the proposed dissimilarity measures is the formation of sets of Hamming distances for initial sets, represented as sequences of characters from different alphabets.Results. The indistinguishability of pairs of binary test sets Ti and Tk is shown using a dissimilarity measure based on the application of the Hamming distance. In this case, different pairs of sets may have identical Hamming distance values. To construct new measures of difference, the original binary test sequences are represented as sequences consisting of characters belonging to different alphabets. Various strategies are proposed for applying new measures of difference based on the use of one of three rules in generating controlled probability tests. It is shown that in all three cases of dissimilarity measures, only the first few of their components areinformative, as a rule, no more than two or three. Accordingly, the computational complexity for all three options is comparable and does not exceed 3n comparison operations. The experimental studies carried out confirm the effectiveness of the proposed dissimilarity measures and their low computational complexity.Conclusion. The proposed dissimilarity measures expand the possibilities of generating test sets when forming controlled random tests. It is shown that test sets that are indistinguishable when using the Hamming distance as a dissimilarity measure have different values of the proposed dissimilarity measures, which makes it possible to more accurately classify randomly generated sets that are candidate test cases

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy Application for Candida auris Outbreak Typing in a Referral Intensive Care Unit: Phylogenetic Analysis and Clustering Cut-Off Definition.

Recently Candida auris has emerged as a multi-resistant fungal pathogen, with a significant clinical impact, and is able to persist for a long time on human skin and hospital environments. It is a critical issue on the WHO fungal priority list and therefore it is fundamental to reinforce hospital surveillance protocols to limit nosocomial outbreaks. The purpose of this study was to apply Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) to investigate the phylogenetic relationships among isolated strains from a C. auris outbreak at the University Intensive Care Unit of a Tertiary University hospital in Turin (Italy). To calculate a clustering cut-off, intra- and inter-isolate, distance values were analysed. The data showed the presence of a major Alfa cluster and a minor Beta cluster with a defined C. auris clustering cut-off. The results were validated by an external C. auris strain and Principal Component and Linear Discriminant Analyses. The application of FT-IR technology allowed to obtain important information about the phylogenetic relationships between the analysed strains, defining for the first time a "not WGS-based" clustering cut-off with a statistical-mathematical approach. FT-IR could represent a valid alternative to molecular methods for the rapid and cost-saving typing of C. auris strains with important clinical implications.

ПІДТРИМКА ТОЧНОСТІ ЗНАЧЕНЬ КЕРУЮЧИХ ПАРАМЕТРІВ ЕЛЕКТРОГІДРАВЛІЧНОГО НАВАНТАЖЕННЯ ПРИ ШТАМПОВЦІ З ПРОСТОРОВО-ЧАСОВИМ КЕРУВАННЯМ

The article is devoted to ensuring the stability of the technological process of electrohydraulic stamping of thin-sheet large-sized parts. This process is realised on multi-contour EH presses equipped with the capabilities of space-time control of the workpiece load. This control ensures the production of high-quality parts and high technical and economic performance of the process.The control parameters include the geometry of the press energy release zone, the loading sequence of the workpiece sections and the value of the inter-electrode distance. The first parameters change little under specified operating conditions. The third parameter is subject to change over a specified number of discharges due to cavitation and EDM erosion. Violation of the specified value of the interelectrode distance leads to a violation of the energy release mode and its loss.As a result of the experiments, the mechanism of cavitation destruction of the high-voltage insulation of the working electrode was determined and a solution was proposed for the conditions of winding the high-voltage insulation with a glass fibre roving, as well as electrical insulation in the areas adjacent to the discharge zone.Several variants of the design of the end part of the working electrode, which is still directly in the EG discharge zone, were experimentally investigated.The ratio of the duration of the pre-discharge stage to the characteristic time of the discharge circuit was chosen as a criterion parameter of resistance to electrical erosion of the discharge edges. The duration of the pre-discharge stage was determined from the discharge voltage oscillograms.According to the given dependences of the above ratio on the number of discharges, the best design from the considered options was determined.The used value of this ratio for the selected design corresponds to ~ 2500 discharges at a voltage of 20...25 kV. This number of discharges is on average comparable to the operation during five shifts, after which it is necessary to restore the discharge edges of the electrode. Autonomous Driving Strategy for a Specialized Four-Wheel Differential-Drive Agricultural Rover

Recently, the agriconstruction machinery sector has been involved in a great technological revolution. The reasons that may explain this are strictly connected to the mitigation of climate change. At the same time, there is a necessity to ensure an adequate production level in order to meet the increasing food demand due to the current population growth trend. In this context, the development of autonomously driven agricultural vehicles is one of the areas on which tractor manufacturers and academics are focusing. The fundamental prerequisite for an autonomous driving vehicle is the development of an appropriate motion strategy. Hence, the vehicle will be able to follow predetermined routes, accomplishing its missions. The aim of this study was the development of path-planning and path-following algorithms for an agricultural four-whee differential-drive vehicle operating in vineyard/orchard environments. The algorithms were completely developed within the MATLAB software environment. After a brief description of the geometrical characteristics of the vehicle, a parametric process to build a virtual orchard environment is proposed. Then, the functional principles of the autonomous driving algorithms are shown. Finally, the algorithms are tested, varying their main tuning parameters, and an indicator to quantify the algorithms’ efficiency, named relative accuracy, is defined. The results obtained show the strong dependence between the relative accuracy and lookahead distance value assigned to the rover. Furthermore, an analysis of rover positioning errors was performed. The results in this case show a lower influence of the location error when the accuracy of the positioning device is within 2 cm.

Distance mapping overlap complexity metric for class-imbalance problems

Data complexity for class-imbalance problems is a hot topic in the field of data mining. Classical data complexity measures use techniques such as kNN, which computes the nearest neighbors of each instance. However, the kNN-based method to obtain the nearest neighbors of all instances is an NP-hard problem, which is not conducive to large-scale data complexity calculations. In order to solve this problem, from the global and local perspectives, four distance map complexity metric methods are proposed, and the complexity values is called the distance map overlap index (DMOI). Firstly, we use Mahalanobis distance or standardized Euclidean distance to calculate the distance of the instance to the center point of the data set, and arrange by the distance value of each instance. Then, according to the sequential label vector, iteratively searches the number of map cut-points for each class. Finally, according to the number of map cut-points of different classes, the DMOI of the data set is calculated. Experiments on 50 class-imbalanced datasets show that the DMOI method outperforms state-of-the-art complexity measures for class-imbalanced problems. Although there is still a gap between DMOI and ONB for rule-based or tree-based classifiers, the use of Pearson correlation coefficient shows that DMOI can effectively approximate ONB, and there is a strong positive correlation between them.

Research on mobile robot path planning in complex environment based on DRQN algorithm

A deep reinforcement Q learning algorithm (DRQN) based on radial neural network is proposed to achieve path planning and obstacle avoidance for mobile robots in complex ground environments with different types of obstacles, including static and dynamic obstacles. Firstly, the path planning problem is represented as a partially-observed Markov decision process. Steering angle, running characteristics, and other elements are introduced into the state-action decision space and the greedy factor is dynamically adjusted using a simulated annealing algorithm, which improves the mobile robot’s environment exploration and action selection accuracy. Secondly, the Q-learning algorithm is improved by replacing the Q-table structure with an RBF neural network to enhance the approximation ability of the algorithm’s function values, and the parameters of the implicit layer and the weights between the implicit and the output layer are trained using the dynamic clustering and least-mean methods respectively, which improves the convergence speed and enhances the ability of mobile robots to handle large-scale computation. Lastly, the double reward mechanism is set up to prevent the mobile robot from blind searching in unknown environments, which enhances the learning ability and improves path planning safety and flexibility at the same time. Different types of scenarios are set up for simulation experiments, and the results verified the superiority of the DQRN algorithm. Taking the 30 * 30 complex scene as an example, using the DQRN algorithm for path planning reduces the values of distance, turning angle, and planning time by 27.04%, 7.76%, and 28.05%, respectively, compared to the average values of Q-learning, optimized Q-learning, deep Q-learning, and DDPG algorithms, which can effectively improve the path planning efficiency for mobile robots in complex environments.

Topology Perception and Relative Positioning of UAV Swarm Formation Based on Low-Rank Optimization

In a satellite-denied environment, a swarm of drones is capable of achieving relative positioning and navigation by leveraging the high-precision ranging capabilities of the inter-drone data link. However, because of factors such as high drone mobility, complex and time-varying channel environments, electromagnetic interference, and poor communication link quality, distance errors and even missing distance values between some nodes are inevitable. To address these issues, this paper proposes a low-rank optimization algorithm based on the eigenvalue scaling of the distance matrix. By gradually limiting the eigenvalues of the observed distance matrix, the algorithm reduces the rank of the matrix, bringing the observed distance matrix closer to the true value without errors or missing data. This process filters out distance errors, estimates and completes missing distance elements, and ensures high-precision calculations for subsequent topology perception and relative positioning. Simulation experiments demonstrate that the algorithm exhibits significant error filtering and missing element completion capabilities. Using the F-norm metric to measure the relative deviation from the true value, the algorithm can optimize the relative deviation of the observed distance matrix from 11.18% to 0.25%. Simultaneously, it reduces the relative positioning error from 518.05 m to 35.24 m, achieving robust topology perception and relative positioning for the drone swarm formation.

A Study on the Spatial Structures and Mechanisms of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Traditional Villages in the Dongting Lake Basin

This study focuses on 1209 national and provincial intangible cultural heritage items and 1234 traditional Chinese villages within the Dongting Lake Basin. Using kernel density analysis, centroid models, coupling models, and quantitative spatial–structural models, the present research analyzes the spatial–structural characteristics and formation mechanisms of intangible cultural heritage and traditional villages to provide scientific support for their preservation, inheritance, and effective utilization. The results revealed the following: (1) Intangible cultural heritage and traditional villages in the Dongting Lake Basin exhibit a very concentrated spatial distribution, with similar spatial–structural characteristics. (2) High spatial coupling of intangible cultural heritage and traditional villages is observable in the sub-basins of Dongting Lake, such as the Yuanjiang, Zishui, and Lishui basins, whereas the Xiangjiang Basin and Dongting Lake area present relatively lower levels of spatial coupling. In terms of the categories of intangible cultural heritage, four of them—cultural heritage, folk literature, traditional music, traditional dance, and traditional drama—have the smallest deviation distance and index values from traditional villages. The coupling degree was higher than 0.70, and there were some differences in the coupling degree between the other six categories of intangible cultural heritage and traditional villages. (3) The spatial–structural characteristics of intangible cultural heritage and traditional villages in the Dongting Lake Basin emerged from the combined effects of multiple factors, including internal connections between the two, as well as external factors such as the natural environment, socio-economic conditions, and cultural policies, all of which play crucial roles in the formation processes of these characteristics.

Abdominal MRI Unconditional Synthesis with Medical Assessment

Current computer vision models require a significant amount of annotated data to improve their performance in a particular task. However, obtaining the required annotated data is challenging, especially in medicine. Hence, data augmentation techniques play a crucial role. In recent years, generative models have been used to create artificial medical images, which have shown promising results. This study aimed to use a state-of-the-art generative model, StyleGAN3, to generate realistic synthetic abdominal magnetic resonance images. These images will be evaluated using quantitative metrics and qualitative assessments by medical professionals. For this purpose, an abdominal MRI dataset acquired at Garcia da Horta Hospital in Almada, Portugal, was used. A subset containing only axial gadolinium-enhanced slices was used to train the model. The obtained Fréchet inception distance value (12.89) aligned with the state of the art, and a medical expert confirmed the significant realism and quality of the images. However, specific issues were identified in the generated images, such as texture variations, visual artefacts and anatomical inconsistencies. Despite these, this work demonstrated that StyleGAN3 is a viable solution to synthesise realistic medical imaging data, particularly in abdominal imaging.

An exclusionary screening method based on 3D morphometric features to sort commingled atlases and axes

In forensic commingled contexts, when the disarticulation occurs uniquely at the atlantoaxial joint, the correct match of atlas and axis may lead to the desirable assembly of the entire body. Notwithstanding the importance of this joint in such scenarios, no study has so far explored three-dimensional (3D) methodologies to match these two adjoining bones. In the present study, we investigated the potential of re-associating atlas and axis through 3D–3D superimposition by testing their articular surfaces congruency in terms of point-to-point distance (Root Mean Square, RMS). We analysed vertebrae either from the same individual (match) and from different individuals (mismatch). The RMS distance values were assessed for both groups (matches and mismatches) and a threshold value was determined to discriminate matches with a sensitivity of 100%. The atlas and the corresponding axis from 41 documented skeletons (18 males and 23 females), in addition to unpaired elements (the atlas or the axis) from 5 individuals, were superimposed, resulting in 41 matches and 1851 mismatches (joining and non-joining elements). No sex-related significant differences were found in matches and mismatches (p = 0.270 and p = 0.210, respectively), allowing to pool together the two sexes in each group. RMS values ranged between 0.41 to 0.77 mm for matches and between 0.37 and 2.18 mm for mismatches. Significant differences were found comparing the two groups (p < 0.001) and the highest RMS of matches (0.77 mm) was used as the discriminative value that provided a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 41%. In conclusion, the 3D–3D superimposition of the atlanto-axial articular facets cannot be considered as a re-association method per se, but rather as a screening one. However, further research on the validation of the 3D approach and on its application to other joints might provide clues to the complex topic of the reassociation of crucial adjoining bones.

Diffusiophoresis in Polymer and Nanoparticle Gradients.

Diffusiophoresis is the movement of the colloidal particles in response to a concentration gradient and can be observed for both electrolyte (e.g., salt) and nonelectrolyte (e.g., glucose) solutes. Here, we investigated the diffusiophoretic behavior of polystyrene (PS-carboxylate surface) microparticles in nonadsorbing charged and uncharged solute gradients [sodium polystyrenesulfonate (NaPSS), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and nanoscale colloidal silica (SiO2)] using a dead-end channel setup. We compared the diffusiophoretic motion in these gradient types with each other and to the case of using a monovalent salt gradient. In each of the nonadsorbing gradient systems (NaPSS, PEG, and SiO2 nanoparticles), the PS particles migrated toward the lower solute concentration. The exclusion distance values (from the initial position) of particles were recorded within the dead-end channel, and it was found that an increase in solute concentration increases exclusion from the main channel. In the polyelectrolyte case, the motion of PS microparticles was reduced by the addition of a background salt due to reduced electrostatic interaction, whereas it remained constant when using the neutral polymer. Particle diffusiophoresis in gradients of polyelectrolytes (charged macromolecules) is quite similar to the behavior when using a PEG gradient (uncharged macromolecule) in the presence of a background electrolyte. Moreover, we observed PS microparticles under different concentrations and molecular weights of PEG gradients. By combining the simulations, we estimated the exclusion length, which was previously proposed to be the order of the polymer radius. Furthermore, the movement of PS microparticles was analyzed in the gradient of silica nanoparticles. The exclusion distance was higher in silica nanoparticle gradients compared to similar-size PEG gradients because silica nanoparticles are charged. The diffusiophoretic transport of the PS microparticles could be simulated by considering the interaction between the PS microparticles and silica nanoparticles.

Construction scheduling optimization in the prefabricated buildings through multi-objective GA on the principle of sustainable development

To save resources and protect the environment to the maximum extent, green buildings came into being. Among them, prefabricated building is the only way for traditional buildings to transform into green buildings. The construction scheduling of traditional buildings is mostly focused on the control of on-site resources, which cannot scientifically and reasonably complete the construction goal of prefabricated building. In response to the above issues, a resource constrained scheduling model based on genetic algorithm is designed by sustainable development, and an improved non dominated sorting genetic algorithm with elite strategy is introduced. It is used to solve the time cost weight balance scheduling model and the low-cost low-carbon scheduling model. The research results indicated that this algorithm had a reverse generation distance value of 0.35 when evaluated 4000 times, and a super volume value of 0.43 when evaluated 10000 times. In the application of a certain affordable housing project, the resource constrained scheduling model based on genetic algorithm can shorten the assembly phase to 8 days, and the low-cost low-carbon scheduling model using proposed algorithm can reduce the transportation cost and carbon emission duration of transportation vehicles to 22501 yuan and 93.75 h, respectively. Resource constrained scheduling models based on genetic algorithms and low-cost low-carbon scheduling models have potential in the field of green buildings, which can achieve significant results in saving time, cost, and reducing carbon emissions. These research results can provide reference for the promotion and practice of green buildings, and guide the formulation and implementation of relevant policies.

Preliminary Studies of Radiofrequency Radiation Emitted from Mobile Phone and its Health Implications

The research work aimed to study the Radiofrequency radiation emitted from mobile phone and its health implications. The experiment was carried out in the dark room (research room) of Physics Department Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola where the light meter sensor was used to obtain the intensities of the radiation coming from the surface of the mobile phone at normal and while ringing, at morning, afternoon and at night. The results obtained shows that 2G SIM card of MTN gave the highest intensity for both normal condition and while ringing at 0 cm, 0.7031 Wm-2 and for 3G is 0.6715 Wm-2 at 0 cm and 4G is 0.6004 Wm-2 at 0 cm, when mobile phone was ringing, the intensities for 2G, 3G and 4G at 0 cm are 0.81765 Wm-2, 0.7505 Wm-2 and 0.7268 Wm-2 respectively, for morning reading. The highest value for the half distance is 79.67 cm and the lowest value obtained showed 0.0168 cm. The lowest absorption coefficient is 0.0163 Wm-2 cm-1 and the highest value is 0.0283 Wm-2 cm-1. The highest value of peak intensity is 0.5469 Wm-2 and the lowest is 0.5180 Wm-2. Whereas the results of afternoon and night followed the same pattern. The result obtained in this work is higher than the result obtained in Ojuh and Isobana (2015). The result is also higher than that of the recommended value by the International Commission on Non-ionizing radiation protection (ICNIRP). Clinicopathological study on diameter of extranodal extension of cervical metastatic lymph nodes in the prognosis of oral cancer

ObjectivesTo investigate the relationship between the degree of destruction of the cervical lymph node capsule, extranodal invasion distance, and the prognosis of extranodal extension (ENE)-positive patients Study designWe retrospectively examined microscopic slides from neck dissection specimens of ENE-positive patients of our hospital. The ENE distance was measured by a pathologist who set up a virtual lymph node and measured the maximum extranodal invasion distance. The maximum distance was used for multiple ENEs. Forty patients with ENE were enrolled in this study. The Kaplan–Meier method was used to estimate survival. ResultsAmong the ENE-positive cases, the capsule was completely destroyed and partially destroyed in seven and 33 cases, respectively. Disease-specific survival (DSS) was 1251 days (range 156–3009 days). The median distance of extranodal invasion was 2500 µm (392–8500 µm) in the 33 ENE-positive cases in which the capsule was not completely destroyed. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis of these 33 cases showed that the cutoff value of extranodal invasion distance for progression-free survival was 2241 µm. ConclusionsENE is a prognostic predictor of oral cancer; ENE was an independent prognostic factor; and ENE size cutoff of 2241 µm was a significant prognostic factor.

Simulation of the Effect of Particle-bubble Size Ratio on the Collapsing Dynamics of a Cavitation Bubble Near a Particle

Abstract The synergistic effect of cavitation bubbles and sediment particles on material damage is a significant problem in fluid machinery. The dynamic behavior of a cavitation bubble near a spherical particle were simulated in this study using the Volume of Fluid (VOF) method. The effects of the particle-bubble size ratio δ on the bubble profiles, the collapse time, the micro-jets and the pressure at the particle surface have been investigated under the conditions of three values of stand-off distance γ. The results show that (1) the bubble collapse time rises as the particle-bubble size ratio δ increases; (2) the peak values of the maximum jet velocity and the maximum pressure exerting on the particle appear at γ = 1.0 and δ = 1.2, which are 165.3 m/s and 10.46 MPa, respectively; (3) the influence on the particle caused by the micro-jets cannot be ignored when the stand-off distance is less than 1.5.

The diagnostic value of TT-TG and TT-ME distances in the assessment of patellofemoral instability.

This study aims to evaluate the application value of the tibial tubercle-trochlear groove distance (TT-TG distance) and tibial tubercle-midepicondyle distance (TT-ME distance) on CT images in patellofemoral instability, and further investigate the association between knee joint rotation angles and patellofemoral instability. We retrospectively analyzed CT image data of 59 patients with patellar dislocation (case group) and 39 normal knee joints (control group). We measured the TT-TG distance, TT-ME distance, and knee joint rotation angle (KJRA) of both groups, and the related indicators were analyzed using single-factor/multi-factor binary logistic stepwise regression analysis. Two senior radiologists were assigned to assess the inter-rater reliability. Interclass correlation coefficients (ICC) were calculated. Finally, we used receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves to compare the diagnostic efficiency of these indicators in patellofemoral instability. The results found significant differences between both groups in terms of TT-TG distance, TT-ME distance, KJRA angle, age, location, and gender (P < 0.05). In terms of inter-rater reliability, TT-TG distance and TT-ME distance ratios showed an excellent correlation between observers (TT-TG inter-rater ICC 0.969, TT-ME inter-rater ICC 0.955). Univariate logistic regression analysis indicated that except for location and gender, all other factors significantly affected patellofemoral instability (P < 0.05). The multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that the TT-ME distance, age, and KJRA angle were statistically significant factors related to patellofemoral instability, with TT-ME distance being a risk factor for patellofemoral instability (OR value 1.572, P value 0.000). Moreover, the ROC curve analysis demonstrated that the diagnostic capability of the TT-ME distance for detecting patellofemoral instability was higher than that of the TT-TG distance and KJRA (AUC were 0.912, 0.851, and 0.735, respectively). The TT-ME distance, age, and knee joint rotation angle are factors that affect patellofemoral instability. The TT-ME distance has better diagnostic efficiency for patellofemoral instability compared to the TT-TG distance and knee joint rotation angle.

Characterization And Genetic Relationship of Several Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Genotypes from Various Regions

The research aims to obtain information about the morphological characters and genetic relationships of several tomato genotypes from various regions. The study was conducted from May to October 2023 at the Experimental Garden and Plant Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. The research used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of eight genotypes and four repeats, and 32 experimental units were obtained. The observations were made to observe some qualitative characters. Qualitative data were analyzed using principal component analysis and cluster analysis to see genetic relationships. The results showed that the Magelang genotype (T27) had a high average plant fruit weight of 619.74 g, the Pane tongah (T24) had an average thick fruit flesh of 6.05 mm, the Silimakuta (T22) had an average large fruit size of 63.28 g. In contrast, the Purba (T25) had an average number of large planting fruits of 15.41 pieces. Grouping eight tomato genotypes based on clustering of MC1 and MC2 and cutting the dendrogram at a 90% similarity rate resulted in six groups. Group One consists of three genotypes, specifically Silimakuta (T22), Alahan Panjang (T26), and Magelang (T27). Group Two has Raya (T23), Group Three has Purba (T25), Group Four has Pane tongah (T24), group five has Servo F1 and group six has Ratna. The closest kinship based on the smallest euclidiean distance value is the Silimakuta (T22) and Alahan panjang (T26), with a value of 19.44. The genotypes with the farthest similarity are Raya (T23) and Purba (T25) because they have a 46.24 genetic distance

Periocular Measurements Among Filipino Adult Employees of Dr. Paulino J Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center

Objective:To determine the normative values of interpupillary distance (IPD), intercanthal distance (ICD), outer canthal distance (OCD), and palpebral fissure length (PFL) among a sample of Filipino adults. Methods: Design: Cross-Sectional StudySetting: Tertiary Government Training HospitalParticipants: 300 Filipino hospital employees aged 19 to 65 years old Results: Out of 300 participants, 156 (52%) were men and 144 (48%) were women. The mean IPD was significantly different t(296) = 12.89, p = .00001 between males (62.59mm; SD 1.65) and females (60.29mm; SD 2.07). The mean ICD was significantly higher among males (34.91mm; SD = 1.37) than females (31.19mm; SD = 1.52); t(288) = 9.58, p = .00001. Men had a significantly higher mean OCD (93.05mm; SD 4.14) than women (91.31mm; SD = 3.97); t(298) = 3.73, p = .0002. The PFL was significantly broader among men (32.60mm; SD = 1.25) than women (31.05mm; SD = 0.99);t(291), = 11.96, p = .00001. Conclusion: Our study determined normative values of IPD, ICD, OCD and PFL among a sample of Filipino adults. We found a sexual dimorphism with men having significantly higher values than women.
