Sosialisasi Penguatan Wawasan Kesiapsiagaan Bencana dalam Merespons Desa Tanggap Bencana di Desa Doyong Kabupaten Sragen

Desa Doyong is one of the villages located in Miri District, Sragen Regency, Central Java. The natural disaster of flooding in Doyong Village occurred in 2023, with a prolonged water recession process. Besides floods, droughts and strong winds also occurred due to extreme weather. The community's unpreparedness in facing disasters resulted in social and economic impacts. Therefore, the purpose of this community service is to enhance the knowledge, abilities, and independence of the community in facing and addressing disaster issues, as well as to build community preparedness for potential future disasters. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting primary data through in-depth interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs). Secondary data were obtained from official BPBD documents, documentation, and relevant literature. Activities included rainfall mapping, community and school disaster preparedness education, the Village Clean Week (GUBERDES) program, reforestation, and collaboration with BPBD Sragen Regency. Results indicate that effective resource mobilization and involvement of various stakeholders, can improve community disaster preparedness.

Wayfinding Analysis for Evacuation Optimization with Urban Network Analysis in Disaster Preparedness School KB TK Masjid Syuhada

The existence of evacuation routes is one of the most important elements in disaster management because it will determine the smoothness of the rescue process during a disaster. An evacuation route is a route to an assembly point or exit that is assumed to be a safe space. Wayfinding is the process of moving from one point to another within the closest or fastest distance. In relation to the evacuation process, wayfinding will show the movement from a point, which in relation to buildings can be a specific space, to an exit or assembly point. As one of the disaster preparedness schools in Yogyakarta's Special Region, Masjid Syuhada Kindergarten was chosen as the site of the research. It is a complex of schools ranging from playgroup, kindergarten, elementary school, to junior high school, all of which are connected by the Syuhada Mosque. The analysis of evacuation routes in the kindergarten was conducted using Urban Network Analysis (UNA). UNA is used as a method to determine the effectiveness of providing evacuation routes in a building area because it can analyze trips between points, called origin and destination. Of the various analyses that UNA can perform, this research uses the closest facility analysis. In this study, the origins were all the class in the kindergarten which placed at the door as the open access and in the middle of the class if the class have two doors; while the destinations were the stairs which heading to assembly point. The conclusion is reached after analyzing the network that connects the origin of the class to the destination of the stairs, which is connected to the assembly point.

INTEGRASI NILAI KEARIFAN LOCAL NGAHA AINA NGOHO DALAM PROGRAM PENGUATAN MITIGASI DAN TANGGAP DARURAT BENCANA PADA SATUAN PENDIDIKAN DI KABUPATEN BIMA

The purpose of writing this article is to provide recommendations to educational units in Bima Regency to integrate the value of local wisdom of ngaha aina ngoho as a program to strengthen disaster mitigation and emergency response. As designed by the Ministry of Education and Culture, to create a culture of preparedness, safety and disaster response in schools, this is an effort to provide understanding to teachers and students about appropriate actions in dealing with emergency situations that occur at school, so as to minimize the risk of disasters they face. Several educational units in Bima Regency are prone to flooding. This happens not only because of the high rainfall, but the majority of Bima's population work as farmers and on average during the rainy season they clear the forest to use it as agricultural land. Meanwhile, the Bima people have the local wisdom value ngaha aina ngoho, the simple meaning of which is "you can utilize natural resources, but not exploit them excessively." The program to strengthen disaster mitigation and response in educational units has been running since the issuance of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 33 of 2019. Therefore, understanding the value of the Ngaha Aina Ngoho philosophy should be the content of material integrated into the concept of disaster preparedness schools, as material for socializing disaster management and control for students, teachers and all school resident.

THE MANY-FACET RASCH MODEL IN THE ANALYSIS OF INSTRUMENTS MEASURING TEACHERS' ATTITUDES TOWARDS EARTHQUAKE DISASTER PREPAREDNESS IN INDONESIA

Materials and Methods: This study employed a survey research design with an exploratory quantitative approach using Many-Facet Rasch Model (MFRN) analysis. The data used for the analysis of the assessment instrument measuring teachers' attitudes towards earthquake disaster preparedness in schools were field data obtained from a survey conducted by three raters assessing 33 elementary school teachers in Palu City. The instrument consisted of 20 items, resulting in a total of 1980 collected data points. Results: The item reliability value was 0.94, indicating that the instrument's quality falls within the "excellent" criteria with a high level of reliability. However, the analysis results indicated that some items assessing teachers' attitudes towards earthquake disaster preparedness in schools had a high level of difficulty. This suggests the need for further examination of disaster preparedness topics in specific areas that teachers may not be adequately prepared for. There was a significant variation in teachers' abilities to answer the instrument's items, highlighting the necessity for a more differentiated approach. Teachers with lower abilities should receive additional assistance and support to ensure that they can also enhance their preparedness.

Towards a Disaster Preparedness School: Mapping of Disaster Mitigation Evacuation Routes at SMP Muhammadiyah Sewon Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta

Abstract. Indonesia is a country with a large population, with geographical conditions traversed by confluence of earth's plates that are actively moving, so that the area is prone to disasters. With these natural disasters, residents must be prepared for various kinds of disasters in order to save lives and minimize material losses and casualties. The level of preparedness for natural disasters should be instilled from the earliest possible age. One of the Muhammadiyah schools that is being reviewed in this service proposal is Muhammadiyah Middle School Sewon Bantul. This junior high school is located in Bandung Kulon, Pendowoharjo, Sewon. Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Looking historically, the Special Province of Yogyakarta is one of the areas in Indonesia which is prone to natural disasters such as earthquakes, exposure to volcanic ash from Mount Merapi, and cold lava. This school has general junior high school grade levels, namely grades seven, eight, and nine. From preliminary surveys and personal communications made to school administrators, it is known that there is no information and planning regarding natural disaster preparedness, and infrastructure related to evacuation routes and gathering points in the event of a natural disaster such as an earthquake. Departing from the problems found and described above, it is deemed necessary to carry out community service at the school in relation to mapping the existing conditions of spatial functions, planning evacuation routes and assembly points, as well as outreach regarding disaster preparedness. It is hoped that with this community service, students can better understand and be aware of the importance of being prepared for natural disasters such as earthquakes, not causing panic, and reducing the risks of losses that can result from natural disasters. In the long term, it is hoped that with optimal assistance, teachers can guide students so they can be more prepared for natural disasters such as earthquakes and furthermore, insert in the subjects taught to junior high school students related to natural disaster preparedness.

Empowerment of MIM Surodadi 1, Magelang Regency to create disaster resilient schools

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Surodadi 1 is situated in Surodadi Hamlet, Gondowangi Village, Sawangan District, and falls within the Disaster Risk Area (KRB-2) with a radius of 17 km from the surface of Mount Merapi. However, MIM Surodadi-1 has yet to implement the disaster education policy and adopt SMAB. Activities include Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), simulations, and games. The outcome of these activities involves fortifying the concept of disaster preparedness in schools, employing organizational formats within the school, and enhancing skills to mitigate disaster risks, particularly from a psychological perspective.

KESIAPSIAGAAN SEKOLAH SD NEGERI 2 SANDEN KABUPATEN BANTUL DALAM MENGHADAPI BENCANA ALAM GEMPABUMI

Disaster education is very important, especially for schools in disaster-prone areas. Schools should teach disaster education, especially about attitudes and actions that must be taken when a disaster occurs. SD Negeri 2 Sanden is one of the elementary schools that is vulnerable to earthquake disasters. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The results of the research show that (1) All respondents understand the potential threat of priority disasters at SD Negeri 2 Sanden, namely earthquakes (2) SD Negeri 2 Sanden does not yet have a written policy regarding preparedness for facing disasters. School policies only exist in disaster mitigation efforts such as integrating disaster material into the curriculum (3) Emergency response plans have been carried out by the school, including saving data on Google Drive and carrying out disaster simulations. (4) The school opens access to communication and disaster warning information from relevant stakeholders and agrees together on the tools used to convey danger signs. (5) The school has not yet formed a School Disaster Preparedness Team that can mobilize resources when an earthquake occurs at SD Negeri 2 Sanden.

Pendidikan kebencanaan bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus

this literature study aims to provide ideas for education in Indonesia in order to build a more quality and equitable education. Indonesia lies in an area prone to natural disasters. Natural disasters are something that cannot be predicted when they occur. Therefore, the Indonesian people need to gain knowledge about disaster mitigation. This can be applied in the field of education, namely with disaster education. Everyone has the right to receive the same education, including students with special needs. Disaster education for students with special needs is very important and serious to be implemented. This is so that they still have enough knowledge to protect themselves from the disaster situation. Disaster education for students with special needs can be done by developing Disaster Preparedness Schools (SSB), simulation training methods in the form of role play, as well as media literacy and disaster interpretation.

Earthquake Disaster Preparedness Among Teachers in The Special School

The level of teachers' disaster preparedness in schools is one thing that influences the impact of disasters on children with disabilities, especially earthquakes, which can occur at any time, including during school hours. Therefore, this study aims to determine the description of earthquake disaster preparedness for special school teachers. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a total sample of 37 teachers at Cileunyi State SLB, and the total sampling technique used was this study. Preparedness measurement for SLB teachers uses instruments modified according to research needs. Data analysis with frequency distribution and results were grouped into ready and unprepared categories. The results showed that 86.5% of teachers were categorized as 'ready'. The best preparedness parameter is disaster knowledge, while the lowest is disaster warning. From the study results, it can be concluded that most SLB teachers are categorized as ready to face earthquake disasters. However, it is expected that efforts to improve aspects of disaster warning can be carried out, such as providing disaster warning tools, especially for children with disabilities.

Kesiapsiagaan Komunitas Sekolah Menghadapi Bencana Melalui Group Supportive Therapy dan Pelatihan Sekolah Siaga

This study aims to implement the group supportive therapy model and Disaster Preparedness School training to increase school community preparedness for disasters on the coast of West Sumatra. This research method is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental pre-post test research design without a control group. The results of the study's first phase showed an increase in preparedness for potential disasters of 23,614 students. The group supportive therapy model and disaster preparedness training program effectively increase school preparedness for potential disasters by 62.71%. In conclusion, there are differences in the increase in readiness for possible earthquake and tsunami disasters in elementary school students before and after being given a group supportive therapy model and disaster preparedness training with a group that only received disaster preparedness training.

Improving School Disaster Preparedness Through Teacher, Cadre Training and Disaster Simulation for Students at Public Elementary School

Based on its geographical location, Public Elementary School (PES) 1 Banyuroto, Sawangan, Magelang, Central Java is located in an area prone to volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Because in general disaster hazards can occur at any time, it is very important for the school environment to improve its preparedness in disaster preparedness. One of the efforts that are considered the most strategic is through training and disaster simulation for cadres, school teachers and students to improve their ability to respond to disasters through disaster preparedness schools. The purpose of this activity is to realize the implementation of disaster management training activities and disaster simulation at PES 1 Banyuroto. The method used is a direct instruction to increase partners' understanding related to disaster and disaster mitigation materials, Forum Discussion Groups to develop disaster learning modules and simulations to improve the skills of disaster response partners. This activity was carried out at PES 1 Banguroto, Sawangan, Magelang, Central Java. The output targets resulting from this activity are the formation of evacuation route maps and their explanations and the preparation of disaster learning modules that can be used in the learning process and implementation of earthquake disaster simulations at PES 1 Banyuroto, Magelang, Central Java. The development of a disaster preparedness school program will effectively contribute to the early prevention of disaster hazards.

The obstacles hierarchy of school disaster preparedness implementation in Mount Sinabung area, Indonesia

The incidence of natural disasters has an impact on various sectors of life, including the education sector. Schools as educational facilities are considered vulnerable areas that need handling steps to reduce disaster risk. As one of the most vulnerable countries to natural disasters, Indonesia already has several policies and programs from the government to address these problems. However, several studies have shown that the implementation did not go according to plan. These studies also reveal that this implementation lies in the local context in which the program or policy is implemented. That is why the study aims to examine the school disaster preparedness implementation in the Mount Sinabung area as one of the disaster-prone areas in Indonesia. This research utilizes the Interpretative Structural Modeling approach to build a hierarchy and classification of obstacles in implementing school disaster preparedness around that area. Data are collected through a combination of observation, interview, and survey techniques in 2017 and 2018 that involved a total of 35 participants. The result showed 14 sub-elements identified as limiting factors of school preparedness implementation in the Mount Sinabung area. Three elements serve as the first level (or the basis/key element) of the obstacles hierarchy: Integration of subject, school policy, and school curriculum. Intervention at the base level will trigger changes and give impact the other upper-four levels of elements. This hierarchy and classification are relevant to the context of the Mount Sinabung eruption and cannot be applied in other areas. This research did not measure the numeric data per sub-element in disaster preparedness. Therefore, the limitations of this study can be directions for future research to examine the implementation in another area by using numeric data. The results of this study also provide major recommendations to several stakeholders. The existing policies regarding school disaster preparedness and their implementation need to be reviewed to improve the result.

Relationship between Teachers’ Awareness of Disaster Prevention and Concerns about Disaster Preparedness

Disaster preparedness in schools is critical for the health and well-being of students and staff. To enhance disaster preparedness, awareness of disaster prevention should be raised among teachers. The aim of the current study was to assess disaster prevention awareness among teachers and to clarify the relationship between disaster prevention awareness and concern regarding disaster preparedness. Teachers from special needs schools, for which disaster preparedness is particularly important, were selected. Study questionnaires were sent to 1310 schools for children with special health care needs across 47 Japanese prefectures. Five-hundred-and-thirty-one complete responses were obtained. The disaster preparedness in the schools was insufficient. Teachers were concerned about child management, life saving, life maintenance, evacuation shelter management, and school management. There was a positive correlation between disaster prevention awareness and concern about disaster (r = 0.217, p-value = 0.000). The disaster awareness scale items “A sense of crisis about disaster” and “Anxiety” were positively correlated with concern about disaster, whereas “Imagining the disaster situation” was negatively correlated with concern about disaster. The current study analyzed the relationship between disaster prevention awareness and concern regarding disaster preparedness, which is relevant for the practice and indicates the importance of imagination strengthening.

The Feasibility of GIGANA Comics to Foster Literacy in Students in Disaster Preparedness Schools

The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility of GIGANA comics to foster literacy in students in disaster preparedness schools. This research is RD type. This research phase includes identification problems, planning, development, validation, and product revision. This research produces learning media products in the form of comics GIGANA (Digital Disaster Mitigation). The results of the assessments from media experts and material experts show that indicators of presentation, operation, content, writing, and benefits are appropriate for use in thematic learning for elementary school students.

Implementation Analysis Disaster Prepared School in Elementary School

<p><em>The analysis of the implementation of the disaster preparedness school aims to determine the implementation of the standby school and to find out the factors that encourage the realization of the disaster preparedness school at SDN 1 Pagerandong. Data collection with interviews, observations and documentation in order to collect data on the implementation of disaster preparedness schools and the factors that encourage the realization of disaster prepared schools.</em><em> Data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions are the analysis in this study and supported by a regional approach to determine the condition of the research area. The results showed that the implementation of disaster preparedness schools was carried out through the integration of disaster knowledge in the school curriculum, socialization and collaboration with the community and the Regional Disaster Management Agency. The school building was built right above the ravine, where the position of the ravine was right next to the school building wall. Supported by the condition of the area with hilly morphology, so it is easy to experience soil movement and landslides occur. This condition is a factor in the realization of a disaster preparedness school at </em><em>Pagerandong State 1 Elementary</em> <em>School</em><em>.</em></p>

INTEGRASI MATERI KEBENCANAAN PADA JENJANG SEKOLAH DASAR DI KECAMATAN NGARGOYOSO, JAWA TENGAH

Karanganyar is an area that is prone to landslides, one of which is in Berjo Village, Ngargoyoso District. Educational integration is an effort to unify the process of changing one's attitudes and behavior in the eyes of the group in an effort to mature humans through learning. This study aims to determine the integration of disaster materials and educators' perceptions of each elementary school in landslide-prone areas, Ngargoyoso District. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach using primary data through questionnaires and interviews. The sample technique used in this study used a purposive sampling technique with a research sample of 20 people divided into 16 teachers and 4 principals or 4 teachers and 1 principal at SD N 1 Kemuning, SD N 4 Kemuning, SD N 5 Kemuning, and SD IT Al-Hikmah. In this study, the importance of a teacher's perception of understanding disaster material to support efforts to reduce disaster risk and make fixed procedures for disaster preparedness in schools. The existence of educational knowledge in schools is expected to be an effective measure for the distribution of information regarding the integration of disaster materials. Effect of using simulation strategy on preparatory school students' earthquakes preparedness

Background: Earthquake disaster preparedness in schools is an effective, adaptable, and long-lasting approach to disseminating disaster education. Undoubtedly, systematic, quantifiable, and effective measures to increase the capacity of school community members will lessen the impact of catastrophe risk in schools. Aim: To evaluate the effect of using a simulation strategy on preparatory school students' earthquake preparedness. Design: A quasi-experimental design pre-and post-tests were utilized. Setting: The study was carried out at El-Shaheed Ahmed Bahaget Preparatory School in Damanhour. Sample: A multi-stage stratified sample consists of 60 preparatory students. Data collection tools: The student's personal data questionnaire, preparatory school students' knowledge regarding preparedness for earthquakes, and preparatory school students' skills during and after the earthquake were implemented. Results: There was a highly significant improvement in preparatory school students' knowledge regarding earthquakes in the post-simulation than pre-simulation. Moreover, there was a significant improvement in preparatory school students' preparedness for earthquakes in the post-simulation than pre-simulation. Conclusion: Using the simulation strategy improved preparatory school students' earthquake preparedness. Recommendations: All children of different ages should be included in disaster preparedness programs. Innovative methods should be widely used to educate children about disasters.

Factors affecting elementary and junior high school teachers’ behavioral intentions to school disaster preparedness based on the theory of planned behavior

Taiwan's geographical location and environmental conditions present multiple hazards which, coupled with high population density and intensive land development, can easily result in significant impact from natural disasters. The key to reduce disaster risks lies in changing human behavior, diminishing man-made impact, and enhancing people's ability to cope with the consequences of disasters. In addition to the physical science, research on disasters should discuss psychological factors influencing people's intention to engage in disaster preparedness behavior. Schools are important facilities for education and, as a result, the practice and robustness of disaster management in the school has a profound influence on the disaster resilience of the campus and even the society as a whole. Understanding the potential factors influencing teachers' intention to engage in school disaster preparedness behavior is vital in that they are the main executors of school disaster preparedness. The theory of planned behavior (TPB) is the most commonly applied behavioral theory to discuss human's disaster preparedness behavior. From the perspective of disaster psychology, this study explored whether the TPB model could be used to explain the psychological perception variables of teachers' school disaster preparedness behavior, and further look into the personal background factors that affect teachers' intention and actual action in school disaster preparedness. This study collected sample data of elementary and junior high school teachers in Taiwan through questionnaire surveys. Subsequently, structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to propose the TPB model and ANOVA was used to explore the influence of personal background factors. The results showed that attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control all influenced the degree to which teachers engage in school disaster preparedness behavior, which is conformable to the TPB. Specifically, attitude was the main impact factor, which affected teachers' ability to take action through behavioral intention, whereas perceived control directly affected the degree to which teachers engage in disaster preparedness behavior. On the other hand, teachers' voluntariness was a key personal factor that affected teachers' intention and behavior in school disaster preparedness.

Implementasi Pendidikan Siaga Bencana di SDN Purwosekar

Indonesia is a country that has a lot of potential for disasters. The large number of potential disasters should be balanced by human resources who are ready to be prepared in the face of disasters. Therefore, in community service activities, the 2019 State University of Malang Community Service Program held activities in the field of disaster. This activity is the Implementation of Disaster Preparedness Schools which aims to provide education on an early warning system when an earthquake occurs. The activity was carried out Monday and Tuesday, June 24 and 25 2019 at SD Negeri 1 and 2 Purwosekar. The target of these activities is elementary school students in grades 4-6. The arrangement of activities carried out is the provision of material packaged in the form of story telling, singing, games, and simulations. The delivery of the material is packaged as attractive as possible so that it can be accepted by students easily. The results obtained from these activities were the knowledge and experience of students regarding disaster science, especially earthquake preparedness.

Kebijakan Penanggulangan Bencana: Model Kesiapsiagaan Bencana Berbasis Sekolah/ Madrasah di Provinsi Jawa Barat

West java is an area that has the potential for very complex disasters. Based on the data release the regional disaster management agency there have 6,607 disasters in the period 2015-2019, natural disasters in west jawa including earthquakes, tsunami, landslide, flash floods, and so forth. So that, a guidelines for disaster-preparedeness schools is important to avoid school from any kind of disasters. This study aims to find out and analysis model disaster-preparedeness schools in west java province and relation of disasters handling. This research using a qualitative method. Data collection, interviews with informants and collection of documents related to the policy guidelines for safe schools from disasters. Data analysis teachniques used are from the miles and Huberman models which include data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusion. The results of this research indicate that the implementation model of disaster preparedness school policy as a whole has fulfilled the rules of disaster mitigation management by implementing regulations and procedures from both the central and regional levels. However, judging from the basic measures, objectives, policy resources and communication between organizations have not gone well so it has not been able to cope with the negative impacts of disasters in the school environment.
