THE CONCEPT OF TEACHER IN THE QUR`AN AND ITS RELEVANCE TO HIS FUNCTION IN THE DIGITAL ERA

In today’s digital technology era, teachers’ function in the learning process seems obscure. They are only perceived as learning facilitators. This paper attempted to find relevant teacher’s concepts in the digital era according to the interpretation of the Qur’an. The perspective of the Qur’an interpretation needs to be studied as a source of knowledge to find teacher’s concepts relevant to the digital era because the existing studies on teachers tend to be based on partial perspective between theory and norm. It was conducted under the interpretation of the Qur’an on the development and internalization of science. The interpretation of some verses was analyzed for contextuality and its implications on the function of teachers in the current era. The study results suggested that a teacher should function as an educator and caregiver. He/she not only teaches science but also directs and nurtures students, so they understand and practice moral goodness. Education is responsible for developing not only cognitive but also psychomotor skills. It must also improve students’ knowledge of goodness and virtue so that they can practice it in the end. That the function of a teacher is to educate and nurture students to be a good human is yet relevant today. This paper suggested a deeper research to examine the decline in the role of teachers around the school environment by evaluating the curriculum and learning system.

The paradigm of international marketing in the digital age

As globalization and the internationalization of economies develop, traditional marketing strategies are gradually fading into the background. The digital age is coming, which is forming a new paradigm of international marketing. At the same time, as a result of the COVID–19 pandemic, the processes of transition to digitalization have accelerated. The new paradigm of international marketing is manifested in the intensification of competition, frequent changes in the product range, the need to expand partnerships and the reduction of asymmetry of information. In order to attract and retain customers in the era of advanced digital technologies, successful companies are forced to develop new strategies. New technologies such as Big Data and artificial intelligence are becoming an alternative. Consumer preferences are also changing regarding the form of advertising. Online advertising becomes preferable. With the aim of to identify the main features of the new marketing paradigm, preliminary qualitative secondary and primary studies were conducted. To study secondary information, a search for scientific literature on the research topic was carried out in the databases SCOPUS, Science Direct and Springer, which allowed us to understand the main trends in the development of international marketing in the era of digitalization. To conduct primary research, we compiled a questionnaire, consisted of open-ended questions. The survey was conducted using a Google Form. The questionnaire contained four sections on the following topics: (I) Manifestations of a new marketing paradigm; (II) Marketing strategies in a digital environment; (III) Big data VS Marketing research; and (IV) Online Advertising. A sample of convenience, based on 12 respondents – marketing specialists, allowed formulating marketing strategies in the context of the digitalization of the world.

PECULIARITIES OF NON-STATE HIGHER SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT IN THE USA AND GREAT BRITAIN

In the era of information systems and digital technologies, the urgency of developing non-state higher education is primarily related to economic progress and the challenges of a risky society. The investigation is devoted to revealing the peculiarities of the development of non-state higher education in the United States and Great Britain.On the basis of historiographical analysis, the degree of elaboration of the selected problem is determined. Using a retrospective analysis of the development of the world educational space, the historical origins of the emergence and formation of non-state higher education institutions in these English-speaking countries, related to the implementation of church, private and public initiatives. With the help of synchronous analysis of the course of innovation processes in higher education, the peculiarities of the development of the non-state higher school in the USA and Great Britain at the present stage are outlined. The method of synthesis summarizes the main advantages and disadvantages of non-state higher institutions in these English-speaking countries, as well as identifies prospects for further research.The importance of church, private and public initiative in the origin and formation of non-state schools in the United States and Great Britain is revealed, the dominance of the non-state higher education sector over the public in terms of quantity and quality of educational services in these countries.There is a growing tendency to popularize and democratize higher education in the context of the implementation of “ideas of free higher education”, primarily due to the spread of the movement for “Enlargement of the University” in the second half of the nineteenth century from Britain and the United States. The role of open universities in providing quality educational services in developed English-speaking countries at the present stage is presented.

Innovative Strategies of the Turkestan Music and Drama Theater

The general theme of the international round table “Innovative and multimedia research in modern theater art”, organized by the departments of theater studies and scenography of T. K. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, the main topic of which was the resonant premiere of the play Borte by Dulat Issabekov, which raised a wide range of ideas and topical issues. The purpose of this event was to comprehend the problems of innovations in the Kazakh theater in the era of digital technologies. The discussion was attended by a director of the Turkestan Music and Drama Theater Ainur Kopbassarova, a stage director Carlo Shakkaluga, prominent theatrical figures of the republic, directors, heads of regional theaters, actors, set designers, teachers, students of the academy and the capital's university of arts. The methodology basis in the discussion of innovative events taking place in the Kazakh theater were empirical, general scientific and private scientific methods of understanding new approaches in work on a production of a play, on the example of the performance of “Borte”. The study underwent cardinal changes in the theater's performance and production policy, starting with selection of actors who were invited from different theaters of Kazakhstan, to introduction of expensive innovative technical stage equipment. As a result of discussing the problems of introducing innovations in the Kazakh theater, a number of objective constraining factors were identified, such as obsolete technical equipment and stage machinery, etc. Particular attention was paid to the issues of profitability of theatrical production, adaptation methods and operation of specialized technical devices, fundamentally new approaches in selection of actors for the role. During the discussion of the principles of organizing work on the release of a new performance, it was noted that leadership of the Turkestan Theater had successfully introduced new generation technologies in the shortest possible time. Moreover, a fundamentally new algorithm for operation of the stage part of the theater was developed, an extraordinary model for managing production workshops of the theater, technical and technological spectrum of combining innovative methods and techniques in the space of one performance has been expanded.

UNDERSTANDING DEFINITION OF BUSINESS RESILIENCE: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Business resilience in digital technology era is not comprehensively overviewed. Thus, it is important to construct the body of the research and contributes to the current state of knowledge to understand the definition of business resilience in disruptive era. This study employs a systematic LITERATURE REVIEW of 76 papers that are categorized into two stream propositions: resilience and adaptive capability in digital technology era, and non-adaptive resilient one. The result reveals that when the business process adapt to digital technology, become more resilient and competitively sustained, while other do not. Future research may focus on speed adaptation capability in connectivity era.

Self-management and Self-leadership in the Digital and AI Era: An Overview and Future Directions

This special issue was developed to call for more scholarly attention to self-management and self-leadership research. Technological advances have embraced many kinds of new economy and organizational design such as platform economy, telecommuting, and humans working alongside machines, among others. Digital technologies and AI not only make organizations more open, flat, and flexible, but also increase individuals’ capacity to process information and make decisions, and their autonomy in choosing when and where to work. Meanwhile, as digital natives, Generation Z’s work behaviors are increasingly influenced by social media. All these changes have weakened the effectiveness of traditional organizational control that is mainly based on a formal system of rules and procedures; effective organizational control relies more and more on organizational members’ self-management or self-regulation. Therefore, self-management and self-leadership are particularly important and essential in the era of digital technology and AI. We encourage organizational scholars to research self-management and self-leadership in the context of advances in digital technology and AI: Investigate organizations’ novel practices in this digital and AI era, and research on the underlying meanings, manifestations, and working mechanisms of self-management and self-leadership. This special issue collected four empirical papers that respectively examine the effects of AI on employees’ thriving at work, sales employees’ self-leadership behaviors in digital platforms, the effects of algorithm-based decision-making on employees’ procedural fairness perceptions, and the effects of algorithm-based decision-making on employees’ overall justice perceptions and deviance behaviors. Building on these empirical papers, we invite more research on self-management and self-leadership that may contribute to the optimization of human resources in the era of digital technology and AI.

Effective splicing localization based on noise level inconsistencies

In the era of digital technology, it becomes easy to share photographs and videos using smartphones and social networking sites to their loved ones. On the other hand, many photo editing tools evolved to make it effortless to alter multimedia content. It makes people accustomed to modifying their photographs or videos either for fun or extracting attention from others. This altering brings a questionable validity and integrity to the kind of multimedia content shared over the internet when used as evidence in Journalism and Court of Law. In multimedia forensics, intense research work is underway over the past two decades to bring trustworthiness to the multimedia content. This paper proposes an efficient way of identifying the manipulated region based on Noise Level inconsistencies of spliced mage. The spliced image segmented into irregular objects and extracts the noise features in both pixel and residual domains. The manipulated region is then exposed based on the cosine similarity of noise levels among pairs of individual objects. The experimental results reveal the effectiveness of the proposed method over other state-of-art methods.

Business actors use various literatures in the context of online shopping behavior as an empirical source in designing each strategy that is built. Literature on online shopping behavior is a relevant source as a basis for strategic decision making in the era of digital technology. Many factors influence online shopping behavior, but not all of them can be implemented properly and effectively. Therefore, this research proposal aims to determine what factors are dominant in influencing online shopping behavior. The results of this literature review contribute to further research, that hedonic values, security, and product knowledge are thought to have an influence on purchasing decisions in the context of online shopping behavior.

Meanwhile, in a negative context, the COVID-19 vaccination has become a cornering or scary hoax. However, this news cannot be verified. However, this news greatly influences a person's decision to participate or not in the vaccination program in addition to doubts about the safety of vaccines, doubts about the effectiveness of vaccines, distrust of vaccines, fears of side effects such as fever and pain, and religious reasons. This study will explain the level of participation of workers who work in Hospital X in receiving a prioritized vaccination program for health workers. The research method used is descriptive, where data is collected in the period from January 29, 2021, to May 10, 2021. The vaccination program which is an alternative to breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 is welcomed by its implementation in Hospital X with the participation rate of the results. reached 92%. The remaining 8% were not vaccinated because they did not receive a recommendation from a doctor or refused the vaccine because they were worried about the side effects.

Since its inception, photography has promised to set things to scale, to grant them measure and proportion, a series of promises that have also entailed moments of irrationality or conflict that persist in and continue to shape the era of global networked digital imaging technologies. The symposium started out from the diagnosis that, whilst photography continues to promise an ordered, proportionate and measured world in which things can be set to their proper scale, it also acts in many ways as an agent of dismeasure, disproportion and the unscalable. In light of this, the roundtable discussion presented here examines a range of different meanings that scale, measure and proportion have accrued in the photographic context and sets out to explore conceptual frameworks and research methodologies through which the current situation might be understood.

Crime in Era of Digital Technology: What Can Change with Cryptocurrency Status Clarification for Development of Information Environment of Vietnam?

The present paper analyses the aspects of investigations of crime involving cryptocurrencies as a payment instrument. Ever since their emergence, cryptocurrencies have come to be actively used by criminals in all types of illegal activities, such as drug trafficking, money laundering, illegal arms trade, payments for criminal services and many other crimes. The paper aims to establish the methods of crime investigation to track data on cryptocurrency transactions and identify and show up the participants of illegal operations. The author shows that the development of computer and digital information technologies and the Internet has brought about the ever-increasing prevalence of cryptocurrencies in all social domains, including the shadow sector, i. e., the criminal world. Figures are provided illustrating the overall circulation of cryptocurrencies in the world and its illegal segment. Explaining the attractiveness of cryptocurrencies for criminal structures, the author points at its anonymity and inadequate regulation of various aspects in laws. An analysis is provided of the practice of countries where cryptocurrency circulation is not only permitted but regulated to a maximum possible extent. The impact of such regulation for the state of the shadow cryptocurrency market is shown. The research further concerns the potential for bringing international expertise to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Potential methods of crime investigation concerning shadow cryptocurrency transactions are outlined, helping to identify and show up the participants involved. Forecasts are provided as to the development of modern forensics and the emergence of new forensic methods helping to uncover cryptocurrency-related crime; proposals are drawn for amending criminal and criminal procedure laws to facilitate investigations in the new context.

The development of the digital technology era makes educators have to provide extra character planting in children. Character education as a character / moral shaper of a child. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the pattern of human life, one of which is in the field of education which has turned into online learning. This study aims to describe the character education of elementary-aged children in online learning in the digital era. The research method used is library (Library Research). The results of the study show that to instill character education in elementary age children in the online learning process in the digital era, it is necessary to optimize all aspects of both educators, students, parents, and the learning curriculum. Thematic-integrative in the 2013 curriculum can be used as an alternative character education. During the COVID-19 pandemic, character cultivation in children can still be taught, especially on the value of spiritual, responsible and independent character.

Characteristics of Effective English Teacher for Millenials

The millennial era is an era of digital technology in which people are close to technology and have instant access to information. This study investigated students' perception of the characteristics of an effective English language teacher in the millennial era. This study used a qualitative approach and used a descriptive qualitative design and took place at a private university in Yogyakarta. The participants were four students of the English Language Education Department (ELED) batch 2016. In collecting the data, the researcher interviewed the participant. The findings showed that in socio-affective skills, an effective English language teacher in the millennial era should enhance students' motivation to learn, create a good classroom atmosphere, have good relationships with the students and other teachers, and understand students' character. In pedagogical knowledge, an effective English language teacher should give feedback, have a valuable ability to explain the lesson, ensure students' understanding of the lesson. They also should have a lesson plan, utilize and apply technology, allow students to write a reflection, and control class activities. In knowledge subject matter, an effective English language teacher should be knowledgeable and master English well. Lastly, an effective English language teacher should have personality traits such as intelligent, caring, friendly, disciplined, creative, kind, patient, humorous, responsible, open-minded, and professional. The findings implied that to teach students in the millennial era effectively, teachers should possess and maintain the characteristics of an effective English language teacher.

Artificial Intelligence: Technology 4.0 as a solution for healthcare workers during COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented spotlight to the healthcare sector across the globe. It has revealed the weak links as well as neglected aspects of the healthcare sector. The aspects like data collection about patients, access to and outreach of authentic information in times of pandemics and use of technology for collaboration among medical researchers and workers have been overlooked for a long period of time. As the world is watching an inflection point of the digital technology era, it is highly imperative to analyze where these two supposedly separate sectors converge. This research paper has attempted to do the same. A systematic literature review of twenty research papers have been done to know impact of artificial intelligence in dealing with COVID-19 problem. The benefits offered by the technological revolution, namely technology 4.0, to the healthcare sector has been analyzed in this paper with a special emphasis on the role of Artificial Intelligence. Adoption of latest technology in collating patients handling systems, supply of medicines and other medical requirements, collaboration in the areas of research and development amid COVID-19 are few of the aspects of the paper. There is an immediate need for a technology embedded in healthcare system.

Protecting personal data of social network users in the context of international integration

TEACHING BUSINESS ENGLISH CORRESPONDENCE IN THE DIGITAL ERA IN POLITEKNIK KOMPUTER NIAGA LPKIA BANDUNG

Up to the present era of digital technology, printed-letters sent by post or electronic-mail have a very important role in businesses and government institutions. Meanwhile, the learning process of Business English Correspondence at the Polytechnic of LPKIA Bandung has not been much adjusted to the advancement of information and communication technology, so it might not suffice the needs of students who must work after they graduate. This study aims to describe the positive impact on the ability of students to produce and send business letters after studying the improved Business English Correspondence subject at the polytechnic mentioned above. The method used is descriptive analytics, and the data collection techniques are literature studies, questionnaires and interviews. The research comprises stages from analyzing pre-questionnaire evaluation result, revising and implementing the syllabus in the class, to analyzing post-questionnaire evaluation result. This study reveals that after completing the improved Business English Correspondence course, most students’ awareness and ability increases in producing and sending business English letters and e-mail more properly. The conclusion is that a number of improvements should be made to the Business English Correspondence learning contents and methods to be able to keep pace with the current advances in digital technology.

Цифровизация в образовании и территориальная удалённость в российской Арктике: проблемы и перспективы

In the era of digital technologies, the issues of providing highly qualified personnel, the effective use of the intellectual potential of the territory and the creation of conditions for its reproduction are of particular importance. These problems are more acute in remote areas of the Russian Arctic. This is due, firstly, to the ultradispersity of the settlement system in the Arctic of the Russian Federation, and, secondly, to the imbalance between the demand and supply of labor resources in territorial and professional terms. Digitalization has become an integral component of education all over the world; therefore, the purpose of this article is to assess the availability of education in the regions of the Russian Arctic and to search for new targets for quality education in the context of digital transformation. The existing educational environment in the Arctic regions is analyzed in the article. The impact of urbanization degree on affordable education in remote Arctic regions is assessed. The financial capabilities of the population are investigated. Based on the analysis, a number of problems associated with the active dissemination of new technologies are identified. Recommendations for improving the educational process are given, taking into account the digitalization of society. The main stages of modernization of the educational process in remote regions of the Arctic are identified.
