Cross-Linguistic Scientific Communication, Contemporary Digital Terminological Neologisms in English, and Translation Issues

The paper develops applied and theoretical results obtained by the author in a long-term, corpus-based research on the cross-linguistic scientific communication and on its most distinctive problem — translating modern scientific texts mainly on digital information processing from English into Russian (and vice versa). These texts are characterized primarily by the growing number of multi-word language-specific new terms. In this respect special attention is paid in the paper to modern authentic «digital» neologisms-clusters in English: to their cross-linguistic idiomatic character, their language-specific types and patterns, to their systematization as well as to their communicative and cognitive distinctions. The paper introduces their equivalent terminological counterparts in Russian and the way they are to be translated into Russian. Some important generalizations and proposals are also introduced concerning new trends in the formation of language-specific «digital» terminological clusters in English and the way they can be rendered into Russian. The paper concludes with outlining some further perspectives in studying cross-linguistic scientific communication, its new terminology and developing its cross-linguistic translation, particularly by digital resources.

STATISTICAL ESTIMATES OF VARIABLES DETERMINING THE INTERVAL OF ELECTRIC POWER MONITORING

It is demonstrated that digital processing of information on electricity consumption is possible when transforming the studied process into a discrete form. The correct choice of the monitoring interval allows for the accurate reconstruction of the values of the studied function in the intervals between measurements. It is shown that when organizing the monitoring of average power, it is necessary to select a discretization interval that provides adequate representation of the current process. The proposed procedure for choosing the interval of electric power monitoring is based on determining the duration of the deviation of the random function of electric power change, subject to certain constraints. The justified number of monitoring studies is established to determine the optimal interval of electric power monitoring. It is shown that the most rational method of processing experimental data will be the method of joint estimation for correlation and standard deviation.

AN OVERVIEW OF COMPONENTS FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT MULTIMEDIA NETWORKS BASED ON 5G RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES

Modern society is actively transitioning into an information-based one, and multimedia technologies have become an integral part of this process. Thanks to the proliferation of wireless access networks, users are becoming more mobile, and the development of the fifth generation of mobile networks, known as 5G, is a significant step in the advancement of information and communication technologies. 5G networks offer low latency and reliable connectivity, expanding the capabilities of mobile internet and machine communication. However, along with the opportunities provided by multimedia communication, there is a responsibility to consider the impact of associated technologies on the environment, as well as to address new challenges and the need for prudent resource utilization.
 The article defines the concept of "multimedia" and discusses various aspects of this concept, including digital storage and processing of information, components (text, photos, audio, and video), interactivity, and hypertextuality. It is noted that the transmission of multimedia data and the use of information technologies are closely linked to wireless access networks.
 The authors discuss challenges and solutions in the field of energy efficiency for networks. They provide statistics indicating that the information and communication technology (ICT) industry is responsible for a significant portion of global energy consumption and CO2 emissions, with radio access networks being a major contributor. Various components and technologies that can contribute to the development of energy-efficient multimedia networks based on 5G radio access technologies are examined. Specifically, heterogeneous networks, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technologies, and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technologies are highlighted as key components for achieving energy efficiency.
 The importance of using heterogeneous networks to reduce the distance between transmitters and receivers is emphasized, along with the possibility of putting small base stations into sleep mode when there is no network load. Technologies like NOMA and MIMO are discussed as crucial components for achieving spectral efficiency and energy efficiency.
 Additionally, the article focuses on wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and suggests ways to optimize them for energy efficiency. This includes operating sensor units only when necessary, implementing wireless charging, using energy-efficient optimization methods, and applying efficient routing schemes.
 The authors also highlight the role of green data centers in reducing CO2 emissions and optimizing the use of green energy in high-performance networks. Methods such as using renewable energy sources, increasing the energy efficiency of hardware, and implementing energy-efficient routing are discussed.
 In conclusion, the article underscores the importance of energy efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions in modern multimedia networks, particularly in the context of 5G networks. It calls for interdisciplinary efforts to address these critical challenges in the field of information and communication technologies.

ПРОБЛЕМАТИКА ВИКОРИСТАННЯ БЕЗПРОВІДНИХ СЕНСОРНИХ МЕРЕЖ У ВІЙСЬКОВИХ ЦІЛЯХ

The article analyzes wireless sensor networks and identifies their advantages and disadvantages when used for military purposes. It is proposed to consider the architecture of the network based on a four-level model, which consists of the level of sensors, data channels, data processing and applications for creating various types of services. This creates a versatile and effective set of instruments for solving various tasks of special purpose for military purposes. The structure of a wireless sensor network for military use is considered in detail, taking into account the variety of sensors and their purpose. It also emphasizes the importance of compact and efficient sensors for military purposes, which contain means of digital information processing, receiver and transmitter, including measurements of electromagnetic waves, light, pressure, sound. The possibility of creating sensor fields based on unmanned aerial vehicles and their use for security and information gathering is noted. Data link parameters are detailed, including signal strength and signal level at the receiving end. The importance of space scanning radars for ensuring the safety of unmanned aerial vehicles in the conditions of wind speed and obstacles is noted. The article points out the problems of energy and computing resources when using sensors, in particular, the limitation of energy consumption and the length of the information transmission channel. Methods of rationalizing energy consumption by aggregating data and using clustering protocols are proposed. The main idea of the article is that the use of wireless sensor networks for military purposes requires attention to architectural details, sensor selection and power consumption optimization to ensure effective and reliable use of this system for its intended purpose, which will lead to the successful completion of the task by the unit. Therefore, the main advantages include the simplicity and flexibility of deploying sensor fields and the prompt receipt of information directly from the contact line, which is the key to a quick response to the enemy's actions.

Classification of the machine state in turning processes by using the acoustic emission

Processing digital information stands as a crucial foundation of Industry 4.0, facilitating a spectrum of activities from monitoring processes to their understanding and optimization. The application of data processing techniques, including feature extraction and classification, coupled with the identification of the most suitable features for specific purposes, continues to pose a significant challenge in the manufacturing sector. This research investigates the suitability of classification methods for machine and tool state classification by employing acoustic emission (AE) sensors during the dry turning of Ti6Al4V. Features such as quantiles, Fourier coefficients, and mel-frequency cepstral coefficients are extracted from the AE signals to facilitate classification. From this features the 20 best are selected for the classification to reduce the dimension of the feature space and redundancy. Algorithms including decision tree, k-nearest-neighbors (KNN), and quadratic discriminant analysis (QDA) are tested for the classification of machine states. Of these, QDA exhibits the highest accuracy at 98.6 %. Nonetheless, an examination of the confusion matrix reveals that certain classes, influenced by imbalanced training data, exhibit a lower prediction accuracy. In summary, the study affirms the potential of AE sensors for machine state recognition and tool condition monitoring. Although QDA emerges as the most acurate classifier, there remains an avenue for refinement, particularly in training data optimization and decision-making processes, to augment accuracy.

Application and analysis of machine learning in handwritten digit recognition

It appears from the information that Character recognition research is currently focused on handwritten digit recognition, a significant subfield of optical character recognition, i.e. the use of computers to recognise and process digital information. In today's increasingly mainstream computer and data era, handwritten numeric recognition can simplify the process of paper-based offices, reduce the intensity of work when analysing data statistics afterwards and improve work efficiency. There are many algorithms to achieve recognition, each with different recognition accuracy, implementation efficiency and application scope. Based on the basic concepts described above, this thesis investigates the efficiency and accuracy of three algorithms - template matching, SVM and deep learning - in recognising handwritten digits with different sample sizes. The models or kernel functions currently used to process data of varying complexity and restricted scenarios also require continuous improvement to ensure accuracy, making it all the more important to discuss them in detail.

The article describes the main methods used in the practice of assessing forest lands, discusses the prospects for the introduction of modern information technologies in the field of forest management. The importance of creating a unified information base is determined, which will greatly facilitate the monitoring of the forest land assessment process. Special attention is paid to the existing models of digital information processing and obtaining the necessary result much faster and of better quality than using classical calculation methods. The discounted value of rental income is used as a criterion for assessing forest lands in the article. This approach is considered the main one based on the long cycle of creating marketable products in forestry, since it allows taking into account all changes in the amount of income over time. The forest fund of the Russian Federation is a combination of forests, forest and non-forest lands with a total area of more than 1100 million hectares, which makes up more than 70% of the entire land and is one of the main types of national economy. The territories of the forest fund are unevenly distributed, depending on climatic and anthropogenic factors. All the listed characteristics of the forest fund of the Russian Federation necessitate the introduction of the latest digital technologies for their timely accounting and qualitative assessment, which will allow them to be used most efficiently.

STRUCTURES OF ADAPTIVE SIGNAL PROCESSING SYSTEMS FOR RADAR SENSORS OF EXTERNAL INFORMATION FOR CORRELATION-EXTREME AIRCRAFT NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

During the guidance of the aircraft on the final part of the flight, it is affected, along with other external factors, by interferences of various (artificial or natural) origins. These interferences have various effects on the receiving elements of the antenna array of the radar sensor of external information. Due to the variability and rapidity of the complex interference situation, adaptive interference protection systems are the most effective in combating these interferences. It is known that the use of adaptive processing systems allows for overcoming the practically inevitable a priori uncertainty of statistical characteristics of signals and interference of various origins. At present, due to the development of digital technology, new methods and devices for adaptive signal processing against the back- ground of interference have appeared. Thus, the arsenal of methods of adaptation to Gaussian disturbances has been supplemented by methods involving the inversion (direct or recurrent) of the most plausible estimates of correlation matrices of disturbances or their regularized varieties. Wide possibilities of adaptation are opened up in modern radar stations with multi-element phased antenna ar- rays, which provide for digital information processing. Due to the very high speed of the aircraft during the operation of its correlation- extreme guidance system, as well as due to the dynamic and non-stationary interference environment, an important requirement for adaptive anti-jamming systems is their speed. The effectiveness of adaptive processing of signals against the background of interference can be significantly increased by using reliable a priori information. The paper considers a method of increasing the speed of adaptive protection systems against radar interference of various origins by taking into account a priori information about the central symmetry of the receiving channels of radar sensors of external information of correlation-extreme aircraft navigation systems. It is shown that taking into account such a priori information as the central symmetry of the receiving channels of radar sensors of external informa- tion leads to a corresponding change in the structure of devices for adaptive signal processing in the conditions of interference in these sensors and as a consequence, to an increase in their speed.

The article examines issues of modern trends in physical education and sports in the education system of Ukraine. The role of video materials in the innovative provision of the educational and training process is shown, which became possible for use with the appearance of special programs for processing digital video information, and digital video cameras that allow the output of video information on various media. In the educational process of training future specialists in physical culture and sports, the following options for innovation policy are defined: the policy of "innovative push", "market orientation", "social orientation", and "direction for change". The multifaceted nature of innovative educational innovations is shown. For high-quality professional training of future specialists in physical culture and sports, a methodological basis is described to use innovative types of motor activity. The conducted experimental research makes it possible to conclude positive qualitative changes in the formation of the readiness of future physical culture and sports specialists to use innovative educational technologies in educational and professional activities, which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed method of applying innovative educational technologies in institutions of higher education to form future specialists of multimedia competence.

Rational Design of Stimuli-Responsive Inorganic 2D Materials via Molecular Engineering: Toward Molecule-Programmable Nanoelectronics.

The ability of electronic devices to act as switches makes digital information processing possible. Succeeding graphene, emerging inorganic 2D materials (i2DMs) have been identified as alternative 2D materials to harbor a variety of active molecular components to move the current silicon-based semiconductor technology forward to a post-Moore era focused on molecule-based information processing components. In this regard, i2DMs benefits are not only for their prominent physiochemical properties (e.g., the existence of bandgap), but also for their high surface-to-volume ratio rich in reactive sites. Nonetheless, since this field is still in an early stage, having knowledge of both i) the different strategies for molecularly functionalizing the current library of i2DMs, and ii) the different types of active molecular components is a sine qua non condition for a rational design of stimuli-responsive i2DMs capable of performing logical operations at the molecular level. Consequently, this Review provides a comprehensive tutorial for covalently anchoring ad hoc molecular components-as active units triggered by different external inputs-onto pivotal i2DMs to assess their role in the expanding field of molecule-programmable nanoelectronics for electrically monitoring bistable molecular switches. Limitations, challenges, and future perspectives of this emerging field which crosses materials chemistry with computation are critically discussed.

Automatic depersonalization of confidential information

Objectives. As the scope of personal data transmitted online continues to grow, national legislatures are increasingly regulating the storage and processing of digital information. This paper raises the problem of protecting personal data and other confidential information such as bank secrecy or medical confidentiality of individuals. One approach to the protection of confidential data is to depersonalize it, i.e., to transform it so that it becomes impossible to identify the specific subject to whom the data belongs. The aim of the work is to develop a method for the rapid and safe automation of the depersonalization process using machine learning technologies.Methods. The authors propose the use of artificial intelligence models to implement a system for the automatic depersonalization of personal data without the use of human labor to preclude the possibility of recognizing confidential information even in unstructured data with sufficient accuracy. Rule-based algorithms for improving the precision of the depersonalization system are described.Results. In order to solve this problem, a model of named entity recognition is trained on confidential data provided by the authors. In conjunction with rule-based algorithms, an F1 score greater than 0.9 is achieved. For solving specific depersonalization problems, a choice between several implemented anonymization algorithm variants can be made.Conclusions. The developed system solves the problem of automatic anonymization of confidential data. This opens an opportunity to ensure the secure processing and transmission of confidential information in many areas, such as banking, government administration, and advertising campaigns. The automation of the depersonalization process makes it possible to transfer confidential information in cases where it is necessary, but not currently possible due to legal restrictions. The distinctive feature of the developed solution is that both structured data and unstructured data are depersonalized, including the preservation of context.

Trust as a key element for quality communication and information management: insights into developing safe cyber-organisational sustainability

Purpose In recent years, issues like untrusted or questionable sources of information are indisputably rampant in the digital era. The quality of information is now found to be challenging with its kind of issues, crisis and also clarity in which it requires to have a strategic scenario and practice to enhance quality assurance in order to creating safe cyber-spaces. The initiative to organise information at the organisational stage has widely emerged on the cyberspace. This paper aims to examine the insights of the element of trust in quality communication and information management to drive key performance indicator to support organisational sustainability. This approach is likely to play a significant role in enhancing critical inquiry in to issue of trust in information to ensure untainted integrity and quality assurance of the source of the information. Design/methodology/approach The preparation of this paper used a systematic literature review according to four phases, namely, identification, assessment or examination, extraction and interpretation. This approach was selected to advance critical inquiry into the most current topic on the trust for quality of information as way of strategic communication management to achieve safe cyber-organisational sustainability. The process was made through the various sources of peer-reviewed articles including journals, book chapters, books and conference proceedings. The literature review was carried out through the search for keywords such as trust in information, strategic communication and safe cyber-organisational sustainability. Findings The results revealed that the trust in quality of information with its wide range of initiatives could be enhanced as an initial attempt to embrace comprehensive approach in establishing strategic communication to ensure organisational sustainability and quality assurance of safe cyber space. The result further indicated three points, which follows development of virtual interaction with information management for safe cyberspace, enhancing continued predictability assessment in digital information process and practice and developing trust in information and quality of communication for organisational sustainability. Research limitations/implications This paper is expected to give an insightful value in contributing to quality measurement of the strategic communication to promote trust in quality of information. Hence, the design to expand strategic management to support digital social connections in the cyber space. As a result, the profound contribution would also lead to enhancement of organisational sustainability in the digital era, amid technological trends. Practical implications The need to develop an approach to strengthen the trust in information in the digital cyberspace should focus on providing insights into the quality of information, authenticity and integrity to develop quality assurance for social connection. The awareness raising process in consolidating the trust in information has to start with exploring early social interaction in the digital age. This approach provides quality assurance to linking digital connection to develop trust in the quality of information. This would enable feedback to ensure accessibility and accuracy of quality of information dealing with critical elements relating to organisational sustainability. Originality/value The entire awareness in expanding the trust as information quality indicator has to be started with exploring the early social interaction in the digital age, to achieve quality basis on linking the digital connection as an attempt to build the information quality. This would give a feedback in ensuring the accessibility and accuracy of information quality together with dealing with an ultimate element to lead to the organisational longevity.

METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO THE CREATION AND USE OF SPECIALIZED SOFTWARE FOR PROCESSING AND DISPLAYING INFORMATION ON THE PARAMETERS OF THE MOVEMENT OF OBJECTS OBTAINED FROM

The article proposes methodological approaches to the creation and use of specialized software for processing and displaying information about the parameters of the movement of objects obtained from video recording devices during short tests of weapons and military equipment.
 One of the components of the abbreviated test system are digital video recording devices, which can be used as separate elements and as part of optical-electronic stations installed on mobile test objects or separately, on designated (equipped) places (sites), and must perform video registration in the specified volume and with the specified parameters.
 However, it should be noted that currently optical-electronic stations and complexes of trajectory measurements are not fully equipped with means of digital video recording and information processing, which ensure the compatible operation of means of trajectory measurements in real time. The mentioned problem was not the object of a special study.
 Therefore, the creation and use of specialized software for processing and displaying information about the parameters of the movement of objects obtained from digital means of video registration is an urgent task and provides an opportunity to further improve typical methods of determining parameters and speed up the process of processing information during shortened tests of weapons samples and military equipment.

 Thus, the proposed materials consider methodological approaches to the creation and use of specialized software for processing and displaying information about the parameters of the movement of objects obtained from video recording devices during short tests of weapons and military equipment. They are based on two main approaches, the essence of which is as follows.
 Firstly, in the optimization of the number of experiments to confirm the requirements for the purpose with a given level of reliability when conducting abbreviated tests of samples of weapons and military equipment due to the use of the most progressive, economically justified methods of conducting them, modeling test processes, using methods of accelerated tests, combining several checks when conducting one type of test and taking into account the results of checks carried out during previous tests.
 Secondly, in the creation and use of specialized software for processing and displaying information about the parameters of the movement of objects, obtained from digital means of video registration, it provides the possibility of further improvement of typical methods of determining parameters and speeding up the process of processing information during shortened tests of weapons samples and of military equipment, which in turn will speed up the decision-making procedure regarding the use of the test facility.

The article deals with the role of semantic research for the creation of intelligent systems for automated processing of language information. An approach to the development of linguistic and informational tools for automated extraction of semantic and cognitive information from the text is outlined. The issue of increasing the efficiency of high-quality and fast processing of digital information, the creation of highly intelligent, fast-acting information systems was raised. The theoretical basis of the research is the lexicographic theory of symbolic semantic systems developed by academician V. A. Shyrokov and the theory of semantic states of natural language units built within it, which is based on the principles of lexical semantics and is oriented towards the use of computer technologies in semantic research. An integrated lexicographic system created in the Ukrainian Language and Information Fund of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was selected as the source base of the study, the core component of which is the computer version of the «Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language» in 20 volumes, which is the most representative source of semantic information that provides a description of the lexical meaning of a word according to many parameters with the involvement of pragmatic, connotative, syntagmatic and linguistic contexts. In the study, the formalism of the theory of semantic states is used to build a linguistic and informational toolkit for automatic recognition of semantic and cognitive information in texts written in natural languages. The proposed semantic classifier provides an explicit presentation of the information extracted from the text, which enables its further software processing thanks to the unified interpretation of the operators of the semantic state formula and the results of the semantic indexing of the text. The expediency of using the developed language and information toolkit for solving such important tasks of computer linguistics as determining formal criteria for distinguishing lexical homonyms and LSV of a polysemous word, correct establishment of structural contrasts «meaning — shades», «lexeme — lexical-semantic variants» in interpreting the meaning of the latter, the task of unifying the description of the lexical meaning of words of one semantic field.
