Single crystals of semi organic non linear optical thiosemicarbazide hydrochloride (TSCHCL) has been synthesised from aqueous solution by slow evaporation method. The grown crystals were subjected to PXRD to affirm the crystalline nature of the material. UV–vis-NIR spectrum revealed the transmission properties of grown crystals. The SHG efficiency of the grown crushed sample was estimated by Kurtz -Perry method and is compared with Standard Potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystal. For the first time, the dielectric and photoconductivity manner of the developed crystals were assessed. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the TSCHCL crystals were carried out as a function of frequency and the results were discussed in detail. The photoconductivity analysis certifies that the grown sample possess negative photo conducting style. The thermal tolerating ability of the grown crystals was analysed by differential scanning calorimetric method.
