Efforts of the Government and the National Commission on Human Rights in Dealing with the Paniai Case: Problems of the Unfinished Grassroots

This article discusses the roles of the government and the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) in handling severe human rights violation cases in Paniai, Papua. The purpose of this article is to determine whether the National Commission on Human Rights handled the severe human rights violations in Paniai optimally. The article employs a qualitative research method as a research procedure that generates descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from individuals or things observed. For gathering information, interviews were used along with different types of literature, like journals, to look at the steps that the National Commission on Human Rights took and news stories from different media outlets about how they dealt with serious human rights violations in Paniai. This article uses the theory of institutional and institutional roles to examine the roles played by the National Commission on Human Rights. The research findings indicate that handling the severe human rights violation cases in Paniai creates problematic situations between the government and civilians. First, the National Commission on Human Rights attempts to adapt to external and social expectations. Second, the formation of an order between the majority and minority in the uniformity pattern of witness elements during the investigation stage conducted by the Attorney General. Other challenges include the back-and-forth return of investigation files, which hinders the process of handling the Paniai case by the National Commission on Human Rights.

Heuristic Biases and Investment Decision-making of Stock Market Investors: A Review Paper

This article builds a theoretical and research framework by identifying numerous behavioural biases in investing decision-making through a survey of research publications in the field of behavioural finance. It outlines some of the early research that helped establish behavioural finance as a field of study and shows how it has developed through time. The purpose of the article is to carry a systematic review of the literature on heuristic biases, namely overconfidence, representativeness, anchoring, availability and gambler’s fallacy influencing stock market investment decisions, identifying the major gaps in the existing studies on behavioural biases. It also aims to raise specific questions for future research. In the present study, systematic literature review (SLR) technique has been employed. By looking at the research’s year of publication, the journal of publishing, the country of study, the type of study and the statistical methods employed, one can determine the relevance of the study. On the basis of keyword searches for ‘behavioural finance’ in various published journals, conference proceedings, working papers and some other published publications, the research papers are analysed. For the purpose of creating this article, research papers from the earliest studies (1970) to the most recent publications (2022) have been gathered over a period of years. The study also highlights some of the most recent research carried out in this area. The current study is based on 131 selected research papers that were published in reputable journals between 1970 and 2022. A significant portion of the body of literature on behavioural biases highlights the dearth of this type of study in emerging nations; increase in the number of studies after behavioural finance was applied to investment decision-making, the predominance of empirical research; the widespread use of regression analysis; the prevalence of studies on overconfidence bias and the dearth of studies on availability bias and gamblers fallacy. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the article is a pioneering work in the field of behavioural finance to employ SLR method for a considerable span of time (1970–2022) and to evaluate all the heuristic biases involved in investment decision-making. The present research study is an integration of SLR and bibliometric analysis. The publications’ patterns have been revealed, and the relationships between different types of literature have shed information on the direction that further research should go in.

Factors that Influence the Utilization of Digital Transactions among the Micro-Business Enterprises in General Santos City

This study investigated the factors that influence the utilization of digital transactions among micro-business enterprises in General Santos City. The application of e-commerce services has rapidly increased in response to the pandemic. Moving toward business recovery, different types of literature have stressed how important the shift to digital technology is for businesses to thrive in the new normal. This study sought to investigate the factors that influence users' preferences for switching from traditional cash-based transactions to electronic commerce systems. The Push-Pull-Mooring Framework was employed as the research model. A descriptive and correlational analysis was conducted using data from 65 retail and 35 wholesale micro-business enterprises in General Santos City. The results indicated that the respondents’ intention to utilize digital transactions is significantly influenced by one push factor which is the transaction inconvenience, also by pull factors which include economic benefit, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and critical mass, and by mooring factors including trust, perceived security and privacy, and switching costs. To achieve and sustain recovery, assistance, and support for relatively young and small companies might be prioritized in terms of utilizing e-commerce services as well as setting strong policies towards giving aid, especially to micro-business enterprises in developing digital infrastructures and complementing with these strategies is strengthening data privacy and security for these e-commerce services. This study concluded that the advantages that can be obtained from the utilization of e-commerce services, as well as external factors, impose significance on businesses.

Education is a lifelong process that puts different learning areas to work. Language learning and teaching, which is one of these learning areas, is an area that has been given great importance in recent years and on which a lot of research has been done. The use of various literary products in this field, where many different methods and techniques are used, new materials are presented to the student, programs are developed considering the needs and student profile, makes it very easy to carry out the teaching. It is a fact that fairy tales, one of these literary genres, attract the attention of students, take them to different imaginary worlds, entertain them, evoke aesthetic feelings and contribute to language development. In addition to fairy tales, educational games also provide permanence in learning by focusing attention on the student. In education with the game, skills such as comparative thinking and decision-making become practical. In short, both physical and mental abilities develop in training with play. The aim of this study is to examine the contribution of fairy tales and educational games to the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language, the contribution of the fairy tale "The Land of the Pronouns" and the educational game called "The Pronoun Class" to be played later on the grammar learning of foreign students learning Turkish in Turkey. For this study, a total of 30 foreign national 6th grade students, 15 of whom were experimental and 15 of whom were control groups, studying at Ankara Sincan Ressam İbrahim Çallı Secondary School were selected by paying attention to the fact that their level of Turkish knowledge was equal. These students were first applied the pronouns prepared by the researchers as a pre-test of the achievement test, then the experimental group was told the tale written by the researchers and supported by an educational game. In the control group, the subject of pronouns was explained through plain expression and the pronouns achievement test was applied as a post-test in both groups. As a result of these applications, the permanence and success status of the subject of pronouns taught by fairy tales from literary text types were examined. In this study, semi-experimental design was used. The pre- and post-test results were analyzed by Mann Whitney U test in SPSS 2 6.0 program. According to the results obtained, the success average of the experimental group taught with fairy tales and educational games; The course was higher than the control group with straight a.It is thought that this study, which aims to include students in the learning process and to intuit their functions instead of memorizing the rules, will contribute to the development of students' language skills and increase the use ofeducational games with different types of literature.

Literary Time Travel Devices in the Epic Novel «The Dark Tower» by Stephen King

The article is devoted to the analysis of the literary time travel devices in the epic novel “The Dark Tower” by Stephen King, as an element of revealing the theme of apocalypse. Literary time travel devices and their use in the work are analysed, and parallels are drawn between the main motive of the work, the destruction of the world, and the temporal forms implemented in the work. In the horror genre, the Gothic chronotope underwent transformative and mutational changes, leaving behind only the generalized meaning of a certain continuum and the importance of the separation the space of the unfolding of the story from the general literary world of the work, in order to create a conditional vacuum. of Since its inception, the horror genre has been constantly undergoing transformations under the influence of the era in which it is changing. According to J. F. Lyotard, the transition from modernism to postmodernism begins at the end of the 50s of the 20th century, asserting that there is a reorientation in human consciousness from materialism to informatization. Postmodernism creates in the worldview of a person an orientation associated with such units as anxiety, irrationality and powerlessness. This is primarily related to the loss of faith in the urgent values of the era of modernism, the idea of reason, progress, and the emancipation of the individual. In horror literature, there is a modification phenomenon of merging two genres from different types of literature, in particular horror and fantasy. The hyperreality, that we outline, is a symbiotic metagenre technique that develops by combining elements of the horror genre and the dark fantasy metagenre. For example, most of S. King’s works have common citations, mentions of characters, events, locations, mentions, etc., as an element of creating a general “superchronotope” of the author’s literary world, thus creating for the reader a massive literary world as close as possible to the real one, but with idiosyncratic, genre elements. In this way, the motif of relentless apocalypse develops in the canvas of S. King’s works, which is most powerfully concentrated in the epic novel “The Dark Tower”. The results of this research may in the future constitute a component of intelligence on mass literature.

Exploring behavioural bias affecting investment decision-making: a network cluster based conceptual analysis for future research

PurposeThis study systematically explores the patterns and connections in the behavioural bias and investment decisions of the existing literature in the Scopus database published between 2007 and 2022. The purpose of this paper is to address this issue.FindingsIn the article it was determined which contributed documents were the most significant in this particular subject area along with the citations, publications and nations that were associated with them. The bibliographic coupling offered more in-depth insights into the papers by organizing them into distinct groups. The pattern of the publications has been brought to light, and the connection between different types of literature has provided insight into the path that future studies should take.Research limitations/implicationsThis study considered only articles from the Scopus database. Future studies can be based on papers that have been published in other databases.Originality/valueThe outcome of this study provides valuable insights into the intellectual structure and biases of investors and adds value to existing knowledge. This review provides a road map for the future trend of research on behavioural bias and investment decisions.

A Multigranularity Text Driven Named Entity Recognition CGAN Model for Traditional Chinese Medicine Literatures.

Recognition of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) entities from different types of literature is challenging research, which is the foundation for extracting a large amount of TCM knowledge existing in unstructured texts into structured formats. The lack of large-scale annotated data makes unsatisfactory application of conventional deep learning models in TCM text knowledge extraction. Some other unsupervised methods rely on other auxiliary data, such as domain dictionaries. We propose a multigranularity text-driven NER model based on Conditional Generation Adversarial Network (MT-CGAN) to implement TCM NER with small-scale annotated corpus. In the model, a multigranularity text features encoder (MTFE) is designed to extract rich semantic and grammatical information from multiple dimensions of TCM texts. By differentiating the conditional constraints of the generator and discriminator of MT-CGAN, the synchronization between the generated tag labs and the named entities is guaranteed. Furthermore, seeds of different TCM text types are introduced into our model to improve the precision of NER. We compare our method with other baseline methods to illustrate the effectiveness of our method on 4 kinds of gold-standard datasets. The experiment results show that the standard precision, recall, and F1 score of our method are higher than the state-of-the-art methods by 0.24∼8.97%, 0.89∼12.74%, and 0.01∼10.84%. MT-CGAN is able to extract entities from different types of TCM literature effectively. Our experimental results indicate that the proposed approach has a clear advantage in processing TCM texts with more entity types, higher sparsity, less regular features, and a small-scale corpus.

Network Analysis and Ligand-Based Pharmacophore Modeling for Discovery of Small Molecule Against Glioblastoma Multiforme

Aim: This study uses network pharmacology to design a c-Src inhibitor followed by pharmacophore modeling to combat glioblastoma multiforme. These in silico approaches are suitable for designing and developing new molecules of interest. Materials & methods: The authors performed virtual screening, pharmacophore analysis and validation of results using various in silico tools and reliable data from different types of literature and databases. Results: The in silico pipeline the authors followed produced reliable chemical information to combat glioblastoma. The authors identified a chemical template against the c-Src protein, which was validated statistically and computationally. Conclusion: The authors have successfully identified a chemical template against c-Src, which will be developed into a promising inhibitor in future studies.

In February 2022, the International Russian-Hungarian Research seminar “Cryptopoetics of New Russian Literature” was held online at the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The eight reports of the seminar touched upon such issues as the essence and boundaries of cryptopoetics as a discipline, its scientific apparatus (problems of terminology), methods for creating and deciphering cryptographic texts, sources of cryptography and their relationship with literary text, as well as addressing and verification of cryptography. Theoretical approaches to cryptopoetics were illustrated with examples from different periods in the history of modern Russian literature and different types of literature. During the round table that followed, more detailed presentations on the same topic followed.

THE CONCEPT OF «WAR» IN RUSSIAN LITERATURE OF THE XIX – EARLY XX CENTURY (M. Y. LERMONTOV, L. N. TOLSTOY, V. M. GARSHIN, L. N. ANDREEV)

The concept of "war" can be viewed as a landmark for understanding the picture of the world created by Russian writers during the XIX – early XX centuries. In the article, this concept is investigated in the dynamics of temporal and creative development based on the works of M.Y. Lermontov, L.N. Tolstoy, V.M. Garshin, in whose work the military theme occupies one of the main places, as well as L.N. Andreeva. The focus is on the poem by M.Y. Lermontov "Valerik", Caucasian and Sevastopol stories by L.N. Tolstoy, stories by V.M. Garshin, the story of L.N. Andreeva "Red Laughter". In the course of the analysis, the semantic components of the concept of "war" are highlighted, which are equally important for both the author and the reader. So, in particular, the concept of "war" is represented in the epic novel "War and Peace" in a wide semantic range: the patriotic thought about the war of liberation is combined with the understanding of its senseless cruelty and includes the philosophical and historical concept of the writer about the causes of the war, about "authorship” of a historical event. Based on the concept of concept, the authors of the article show that the chronotope of war is not limited to depicting historical events: it includes a content field associated with various moral and ethical aspects of the work. In the article, using the example of different types of literature (lyrics, epics) and genres (lyric poem, story, story, novel), as well as different periods of Russian literature, such meaningful antinomies as "life-death", "good-evil", dichotomy "man-nature" and the perception of insight – the spiritual and moral changes of man in war. Comprehension of various semantic facets of the concept of "war" in the work of M.Y. Lermontov, L.N. Tolstoy, V.M. Garshina, L.N. Andreeva gives grounds to show the commonality of views of these authors in understanding war as senseless cruelty both in the fate of a private person and in the fate of entire nations. As a result, the concept of "war" as a universal textual category allows one to see new semantic layers of a literary text in the works of Russian writers of the XIX – early XX centuries and to reveal new interpretations of it.

Nature Writing as a Frontier of Twentieth-Century Poetics: The Case of Francis Ponge and René Char

Although it has never constituted itself as a genre within the French sphere, within the cannon of twentieth-century "Literature" are many texts that share the characteristics traditionally associated with “nature writing” (first person observational prose infused with a consciousness of natural history), including those of Francis Ponge and René Char. While ecocriticism has expanded to examine many different types of literature, these two authors represent a strain of nature writing in France, through dialogue with ancient Greek philosophy and the use of poetic techniques that create space for the autonomous existence of non-human entities, anticipate the dismantling of the human/nature divide. Their work also, just as crucially helps to break down the division between ecological writing and ecological action.

ECONOMIC POLICY OF GEORGIA IN THE FACE OF CHALENGES RELATED TO GLOBAL PANDEMIC

Issue of pandemic crisis is actual nowadays, it is under attention of international and national scientists and is well reviewed in different types of literature. During the Covid -19 the attention of the Georgian government fully focused on the problem of health of Georgian people, while the economy of the country was partially paralyzed. Information included in the research strategy of the article were collected from multiple sources: documentary evidence, scientific literature analysis and statistical analysis. The scientific aim of the research is to highlight the current Georgian economic challenges related to pandemic. The authors had an objective to investigate social-economic outcomes in Georgia during the pandemic, to explore the major determinant of country’s economic development such as unemployment, foreign direct investment (FDI), gross domestic product (GDP) exports and imports, remittances, service sector. This paper examines the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on the current important social-economic processes of the country, to generalize them in order to form proper opinions. Findings based on research suggest that the economic situation in Georgia is difficult, therefore all the parties that could influence the positive changes in economy should be informed and involved in every project planned by the local government and international organizations that provide opportunities to foster the process of regional economic development. Authors also provides recommendations how to increase the competitiveness of the country in the future. Pandemic for Georgia is not only a crisis, but also an opportunity to build a new economy, but it is clear that the world will never be the same as it was before Covid-19.

Sources of vocational knowledge

ABSTRACT Vocational knowledge originates from both research and from practice, each of which is transformed across several epistemic levels to become vocational knowledge. The several transformations of research to vocational knowledge have been described by Young and Bernstein as recontextualisations. Less well described are the successive transformations of practice to become vocational knowledge. This paper observes that practical knowledge has to be transformed across several epistemic levels to become vocational knowledge. It examines different types of literature on European artillery in the early modern period: scholarly books on ballistics which were printed in Latin, gunners’ manuals which were manuscripts in the vernacular, and artillery books for non specialist readers which were printed in the vernacular. It finds that practical knowledge didn’t have to be transformed just to apply it to a new context. Knowledge is transformed to a different epistemic level when it is expressed for use by a different type of actor for a qualitatively different purpose from the initial use. The paper concludes by arguing that vocational colleges and institutes have a potentially valuable role in developing vocational knowledge from practice.

Reflections on qualitative data analysis software – Possibilities, limitations and challenges in qualitative educational research

The progressing digitalization is increasingly permeating all spheres of life: also science. It has reached not only natural sciences, but also the humanities, such as qualitative educational research. For example, for the analysis of qualitative data in educational science researchers are increasingly using computer-assisted tools. This so-called QDA (qualitative-data-analyses) software was developed in the early 1980s in the course of the spreading digitalization to support the category based analyzes of qualitative research. Providing an overview about the current literature situation regarding QDA software and the issues addressed a systematical bibliographic research in pertinent databases were conducted. As a result, five different types of literature could be identified. Even though all categories are demonstrated only one is presented in detail. The paper focus on the category in which methodological issues are negotiated and illustrates the therein addressed arguments. Possibilities and limitations of QDA software for educational research are illustrated and past and present discussions regarding this software are outlined. In particular, it is emphasized that so far limitations of QDA software are rarely addressed. In order to deal with this void in the future more comprehensively a set of questions is proposed, which allows to reflect the use of QDA software in a specific research project in an extensive manner. Concluding further questions are raised and it is discussed if also sequential analyzes can be carried out with current QDA software or if they need new digital tools.

A characterization of professional media and its links to research.

The publishing industry is a vast system whose elements form a metaphorical ecosystem with knowledge flowing through connections between heterogeneous elements. In this paper we seek a more robust understanding of different types of literature, and whether and how they support one another in the diffusion of knowledge. We analyze a corpus comprising professional electronic media in US dentistry and its relation to the peer reviewed journal literature. Our corpus includes full text from magazines, news sites and blogs that provide information to clinicians. We find links to research are made through several mechanisms: articles describing new clinical guidelines, referencing, summaries of recently published journal articles and crossover authoring. There is little to no apparent time lag in the diffusion of information from research literature to professional media.

BIBLIOMETRICS OF DIGITAL BUSINESS ECOSYSTEM

The bibliometric definition: Bibliometrics is a powerful tool that provides the opportunity to identify the areas of knowledge to conduct new research and to find the new opportunities in different subjects. Through a bibliometric study, the aim is to analyze the indicators on information about the subject; Digital Business Ecosystem, which allow us to know the level of scientific activity related to this area. Technology and value network evolution in telehealth

The wearable industry is growing and diverse. However, despite the variety in device producers and served purposes, many wearables include biosensors that can measure health parameters, such as heart rate. This makes them potentially useful or even disruptive for healthcare; particularly, for its remote delivery mode that is referred to as telehealth. Wearables and consumer technologies can bring changes to the current value network of telehealth industry by creating new business roles and attracting new stakeholders. However, traditionally regulated telehealth industry may be reluctant to accept unregulated non-medical devices. Furthermore, apart from the potential impact of wearables, the future of the industry is affected by other factors, which need to be understood. This article analyzes a potential evolution of the telehealth value network. For that, we first identified the current trends in the evolution of telehealth technologies and products based on the quantitative analysis and review of three different types of literature – scientific publications, patents, and press releases. Furthermore, we discussed the actors that can drive the future telehealth industry by taking a key role in its value network. The study indicates that technologies and products brought by consumer companies will be used in telehealth for the self-management of chronic diseases and wellness. To facilitate the interaction of the previously separated unregulated consumer and regulated medical domains of telehealth, a new health data aggregation role may emerge and take a central position in the value network. While several candidates for this role can be identified, currently, none of them has the full required expertise.
