1. The reaction of trimethyl phosphite with fluoral proceeds with the formation of a mixture of 2,2,2-trimethoxy-3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1,4,2-dioxaphospholane, trimethyl phosphate, and dimethyl methylphosphonate. 2. The reaction of diethyl trimethylsilyl phosphite with fluoral gives diethylα-trimethylsiloxy-β,β,β-trifluoroethylphosphonate, which at an elevated temperature decomposes to diethylβ,β-difluorovinyl phosphate.
