The influence of the content of basalt and Exxelor PО1020 compatibilizer on the main physical-mechanical and thermophysical characteristics of composites based on polypropylene is considered. It has been established that the use of a compatibilizer in an amount of 1.0–3.0 wt. % can significantly improve such properties of basalt plastics as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation at break, flexural strength, Vicat softening temperature, and melt flow rate. The possibility of cross-linking basalt plastics with sulfur and dicumyl peroxide is considered, and their role in changing their basic physical-mechanical parameters is determined. A theoretical analysis is given of the formation of an interfacial region with the participation of a compatibilizer and basalt. A micrograph showing the redistribution of basalt in the composition of compatibilized polypropylene is given by electron microscopy. The optimal concentrations of vulcanizing agents are determined, at which the highest strength properties are achieved, provided that elongation at break and the melt flow rate are maintained at a satisfactory level. It has been established that the optimal content of dicumyl peroxide is 0.25–0.5% wt
