Plagiarism in Higher Education and Impacts

The development of information technology has made it easy to access all information according to certain interests and purposes, including bringing a tendency to plagiarism. In the world of education, plagiarism can occur starting from various levels of education, including at the university level. Plagiarism at the university level carried out by various circles can be categorized into plagiarism carried out intentionally or unintentionally both on all or part of the work of others without including adequate reference sources in order to achieve certain goals or targets. The impact of plagiarism can occur in three aspects, namely, the impact on the perpetrators of plagiarism, especially the losses that will be felt in the future, the development of science that will be hampered, and the future of educational institutions in Indonesia related to public trust and the quality and value of its usefulness which results in a decrease in the quality of human resources in an effort to advance the nation and state.

Abstract The article exposes the evolution of scholarly information availability and processing in Czechoslovak/Czech information centres and libraries over the past five decades, linked to developments in information and communication technologies, as seen by an active participant. It also reflects the author’s perspective on the peculiarities of the Czech higher education system and the role of key figures in librarianship history.

Sistem Layanan Metrologi Legal Terpusat Berbasis Web

The development of information technology, especially in data management, can have a significant impact on improving efficiency and effectiveness in legal metrology services. Technological transformation not only changes how information is obtained but also fundamentally alters service systems for the public. A centralized web-based Legal Metrology Service System is being developed to streamline administrative data management and enhance services for individuals applying for metrological calibration and re-verification. Therefore, this system is designed using the waterfall method, ensuring each development stage, from needs analysis to implementation and maintenance, is conducted in a structured and systematic manner. The primary objective of this research is to improve the quality of calibration and re-verification services in Legal Metrology at the Office of Trade and Industry in Jombang Regency. With this system in place, it is expected that administrative processes and data management in legal metrology will operate more effectively and efficiently, thereby delivering better services to the public.

Apparel Supply Chain Management and Practice under the Perspective of Sustainable Development

Abstract: This study explores the challenges faced by the apparel industry and the means of attaining sustainable development via effective supply chain management amidst the backdrop of global economic integration and the evolving information technology landscape.Firstly, the current situation of the apparel industry is analyzed, including factors such as the increase in consumers' personalized demands, the increasingly fierce competition, the rising costs of labor and raw materials, and the growing consciousness of environmental preservation. The development status and problems of apparel supply chain management are then analyzed, including the excessively long supply chain, the lack of flexibility and adaptability in management, the opacity of information, the lack of a supplier evaluation system, and the neglect of sustainable development by enterprises. It further discusses achieving sustainable development in the apparel industry, including reducing water consumption and pollution, addressing the adverse consequences arising from the rapid turnover of fashion trends, promoting the construction of a circular supply chain, etc. Corresponding solutions are proposed. Finally, this study concludes how supply chain management and sustainable development practices can inject new vitality into apparel enterprises and achieve the industry's sustainable development goals.

Kompetencje cyfrowe Polaków w świetle teorii przyspieszenia społecznego

The dynamic development and spread of information and communication technologies have caused contemporary society, also known as modern or information society, to undergo constant changes. These are taking place both in the technological, economic and social spheres, becoming the focus of researchers in social, economic, engineering and technical sciences. As a result of these changes, we can even, according to Hartmut Rosa (2020), speak of a society of acceleration, in which technological acceleration is accompanied by an acceleration of the pace of living. As part of numerous consequences, acquiring new skills and improving those already acquired, especially in the use of ICT, becomes particularly important. Achieving an appropriate level of expertise turns out to be almost indispensable, both at the micro level - the realm of work and everyday life of individuals, and at the macro level, as a condition for stable and systematic socio-economic development. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to analyze the level of digital competence of Poles, primarily focusing on the level of overall digital skills and its changes over recent years, the type of digital skills that pose particular challenges, as well as to determine the rank of Poland as compared to other European Union member states regarding the subject matter. The source material is statistical data from Eurostat and Poland Statistics.

Global Supply Chain Information Sharing Platforms: Challenges, Opportunities, and Trends

With the deepening process of globalization, the rapid development of information technology and the diversification of logistics methods, supply chain management faces increasingly complex challenges. This study explores the future development trends, challenges and opportunities of information sharing platforms in global supply chains. In global supply chains, information sharing platforms are of great significance. It facilitates real-time data exchange and collaboration among supply chain segments and help improve supply chain transparency, flexibility and efficiency. However, global supply chain information sharing faces many challenges, including problems in information security, technical standards, cultural differences, and laws and regulations. In response to these challenges, this paper proposes future directions for developing a global supply chain information sharing platform, including digitization, automation, cross-platform cross-border collaboration, data security and privacy protection, application of new technologies, and flexibility and adaptability. This study provides useful insights and guidance for future global supply chain management by exploring the global supply chain information sharing platform.

Enhancing nursing care through technology and standardized nursing language: The TEC-MED multilingual platform.

This study describes the design, integration, and semantic interoperability process of a minimum data set using standardized nursing language in the caring module of the TEC-MED care platform. The caring module was developed in three phases (2020-2022): platform concept, functional design and construction, and testing and evaluation. Phases involved collaboration among academics, information technology developers, and social/healthcare professionals. Nursing taxonomies (NANDA-I, NOC, NIC) were integrated to support the nursing process. The platform was piloted in six Mediterranean countries. The final platform features an assessment module with eight dimensions for data collection on older adults and their caregivers. A clinical decision support system links assessment data with nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions. The platform is available in six languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, Greek, and Arabic). Usability testing identified the need for improved Arabic language support. The TEC-MED platform is a pioneering tool using standardized nursing language to improve care for older adults in the Mediterranean. The platform's multilingualism promotes accessibility. Limitations include offline use and mobile app functionality. Pilot testing is underway to evaluate effectiveness and facilitate cross-cultural validation of nursing taxonomies. The TEC-MED platform offers standardized nursing care for older adults across the Mediterranean, promoting consistent communication and evidence-based practice. This approach has the potential to improve care quality and accessibility for a vulnerable population.

CRITID: enhancing CRITIC with advanced independence testing for robust multi-criteria decision-making

In multi-criteria decision-making and model evaluation, determining the weight of criteria is crucial. With the rapid development of information technology and the advent of the big data era, the need for complex problem analysis and decision-making has intensified. Traditional CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) methods rely on Pearson correlation, which may not adequately address nonlinearity in some scenarios. This study aims to refine the CRITIC method to better accommodate nonlinear relationships and enhance its robustness. We have developed a novel method named CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Dependence (CRITID), which leverages cutting-edge independence testing methods such as distance correlation among others. This approach enhances the assessment of intercriteria relationships. Upon application across diverse data distributions, the CRITID method has demonstrated enhanced rationality and robustness relative to the traditional CRITIC method. These improvements significantly benefit multi-criteria decision-making and model evaluation, providing a more accurate and dependable framework for analyzing complex datasets.

Research on the Integration and Application of Digital Resources for Ideological and Political Education in University

With the rapid development of information technology, digital resources play an increasingly important role in ideological and political education in colleges and universities. The purpose of this paper is to explore the integration strategy of digital resources in ideological and political education in colleges and universities, and analyze the effect of their application in teaching. Through literature review, case analysis and field research, this paper proposes a set of effective resource integration framework and evaluates the contribution of digital resources to improving the quality of ideological and political education.

Design and Development of a Website for Village Services and Information in Watesnegoro Village Government, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency

The development of information technology is now experiencing rapid progress. Therefore, these technological developments reflect the transformation of society towards a deeper engagement with digital tools, especially through internet access and the increasing popularity of website usage. In Watesnegoro Village, the creation of a village website acts as an up-to-date information channel that appeals to internet users. This research aims to help digitize services and also promote the potential of the village through the information system on the website. The methods used in this research are observation and interview. The result of this research is the creation of the Watesnegoro village website consists of observation, data collection, website creation, testing, training. However, the process of digitizing services at the Watesnegoro village office is still not perfect. This is due to the low skills of village officials who are not familiar with online services. In addition, the socialization of the website has not been carried out evenly in the community

The Impact of Innovative Transportation Services on Travel Behaviors: A Case Study of Istanbul

There has been a paradigm shift in urban mobility around the developments in information and communication technologies, zero emission targets to reduce transport-related emissions. Hence, traditional transportation services are replaced by sustainable, shared, smart, innovative mobility services. It is crucial to understand what extent these services, which are increasingly used in the cities and have potential to become a part of the main transportation system of the city rather than serving as an alternative mode of transportation, affect people's travel behaviors and daily activity preferences to be aware of the trends in urban mobility, passenger and freight mobility. By this study, new mobility services such as micromobility, car and ride sharing services used in Istanbul examined in the context of (1) their effect on travel behavior (2) the relationship between people's demographic, socioeconomic status and new transportation service use (3) the conditions where the adoption of these services are higher. In this study, survey was conducted with a sample of 404 people in Istanbul and the results were interpreted using both explanatory analysis methods and the chi-square independence test as a statistical method. As a result of the study, questions such as what is the relationship between the demographics, travel behaviors and the use of new mobility services, the effect of these services on the total trips, transportation modes replaced by them, in which situations they are preferred or not and under what conditions those who do not use this service can use them were answered

Analysis of Channel Promotion of New Oriental Online Education in the Internet Era

With the rapid development of information technology and the popularization of the Internet, the field of education is experiencing unprecedented changes. Online education, as an important product of this change, has quickly become the new darling of the global education market with its characteristics of flexibility, convenience and personalized teaching. This paper takes New Oriental as a case study on the channel promotion strategy of online education industry. First of all, explain the channel marketing environment theories, including PEST theory, Marketing related theories, including the Omnichannel theory in the Internet era, and explain their characteristics and importance, and understand the marketing channel status of New Oriental online education based on the analysis of 4P marketing theory and the combination of questionnaire and interview conclusions as primary data and secondary data. Second, this study combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis. Quantitative analysis, interview records and literature analysis were carried out through the chart data collected by the questionnaire, and qualitative analysis was adopted in the data provided by the official website of New Oriental. The existing problems in channel promotion of New Oriental online education can be find and this research will try to sort out a reasonable solution.

Research on Software Vulnerability Detection Methods Based on Deep Learning

This paper aims to investigate software vulnerability detection methods based on deep learning to address the ever-growing challenges in software security. With the rapid development of information technology, software vulnerabilities have become the primary targets of cyberattacks, posing severe threats to economic, military, and social security. By analyzing the limitations of existing software vulnerability detection methods, this paper explores the potential applications of deep learning technology in this field. Through a literature review, relevant theories of software vulnerabilities are introduced, including the concept, types, and impacts of vulnerabilities. Subsequently, detailed descriptions of deep learning-based vulnerability detection methods are provided, encompassing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) and their variant LSTM, as well as the application of program slicing techniques in vulnerability detection. By evaluating and improving existing deep learning models, a novel deep learning-based vulnerability detection framework is proposed, with its workflow and technical principles elaborated. The proposed deep learning-based vulnerability detection method can effectively enhance the accuracy and efficiency of software vulnerability detection, reduce reliance on expert knowledge, and lower human resource costs. Experimental results demonstrate that this method performs exceptionally well on multiple datasets, indicating broad application prospects and significant research value. The deep learning-based software vulnerability detection method offers new insights and tools for addressing current software security challenges. In the future, with the continuous development and improvement of deep learning technology, this method will play an even more crucial role in the field of software vulnerability detection.

Анкетирование как один из методов оценки качества образовательной деятельности в медицинском учреждении.

The article deals with the issues of training highly qualified specialists (residents) at the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “Central TB Research Institute” (FSBI CTRI). Major changes in the society and development of information technologies require improvement of methods used for education and training of highly qualified specialists and set up new requirements for managing the training process, namely: the use of digital technologies, including distance learning, development of new interactive teaching methods and practicing individualized approach to training. FSBI CTRI trains specialists in the field of phthisiology, pulmonology and surgery using its clinical and laboratory facilities. Through its self-assessment procedure that is part of the accreditation monitoring of educational activities, FSBI CTRI engages the main players of the educational process into the survey aimed at improving training of highly qualified specialists. The authors of the article analyze the results of the questionnaire survey from the CTRI teachers. The data obtained during the survey helped assess the degree of satisfaction with the CTRI system of education among the survey participants, identify the main challenges of educational activities and find solutions.

International Legal Guiding Principles for State Activity in Cyberspace

The rapid development of information technologies and the emergence of cyberspace as a new domain of state activity raises critical questions regarding the regulation of state actions within this space under international law. It is evident that international law applies to cyberspace; any contrary approach would create a legal vacuum, implying that states lack international legal obligations related to cyberspace and undermining state sovereignty in this new realm. Given that states are the primary subjects of international law, denying their applicability to cyberspace is existentially untenable. Despite the clear applicability of international legal principles to cyberspace, international law, like law in general, is often rigid and fails to keep pace with rapid technological advancements. Consequently, a key challenge in the international legal regulation of cyberspace is the specific application of international law in these contexts. This leads to several fundamental questions: How do the fundamental principles of international law apply to cyberspace? What is the effect of sovereignty in cyberspace? How are cyber operations attributed to the state? How is cyber-armed conflict regulated? This article addresses these fundamental issues of international legal regulation in cyberspace. Based on the findings of this research, draft guiding principles for state activity in cyberspace were proposed, which could serve as the foundation for an international methodological document, offering an alternative to the unrepresentative Tallinn Manual and potentially paving the way for a future universal international treaty in this area.

The International Conference «Transport Obligations in the context of Technological Development» Dedicated to the Memory of Professor A. G. Kalpin

The paper is a brief overview of the international conference «Transport Obligations in the context of Technological Development» held on June 18, 2024 at Department of Civil Law of Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) and dedicated to the memory of Professor A.G. Kalpin. More than 30 speakers—representatives of leading Russian universities, business and government authorities—attended the conference. The conference was supported by the Digital Valleys Platform Foundation for the Support and Development of Information Technologies and Digitalization of the Economy, which is the general partner of the Technopravo project implemented within the framework of the Priority-2030 academic equality program. Four out of five Dr. Sci.— experts in transport law — attended the conference. The paper provides an overview of the main speeches and reports of leading Russian lawyers on transport law in the Russian Federation. Following the results of the conference, it was emphasized that many problems of transport law identified by Professor A. G. Kalpin have not yet been solved. This circumstance, as well as the rapid technological development of the Russian Federation, necessitates the continued modernization of domestic legislation in the field of transport law, including the formation of new legal regimes in the transport industry of the Russian Federation.

Current Situation and Optimization Strategies of Student Status Management in Universities

Student status management is an important part of higher education institutions' work, which is crucial for maintaining teaching order, safeguarding students' rights and improving educational quality. In recent years, with the expansion of higher education enrollment scale and the development of information technology, higher education institutions have faced new opportunities and challenges in student status management. This article discusses the problems that exist in SSM, including the deficiencies in institutional construction, informationization construction, data confidentiality, personnel professional qualifications, and service improvement, and proposes strategies for solving these problems. The proposed optimization strategies cover improving the management system and process, enhancing team qualities, promoting information.

Implementation of Information System at SD Laboratorium UNG

This research aims to find out the implementation of the human resource information system at SD Laboratorium UNG. The purpose of the information system is to help organize all functional areas of human resource management efficiently. SD Laboratorium UNG is a school that has been accredited as superior. This mini-research was conducted using a qualitative approach and data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation, and data presentation was carried out using a descriptive approach, in the form of words, writing, or oral from the subjects observed, namely the principal and teachers. Based on the mini research that has been carried out, the results show that the implementation of the Human Resource Management System at SD Laboratorium UNG has been carried out, but it has not been carried out optimally, but the school has been able to utilize the development of information and communication technology for the progress of the school towards a better direction. The applications used at SD Laboratorium UNG are Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Email, Zoom, Google Drive, WhatsApp, Ms.Word, Ms.Exel, and JunioSmart.

Design and Application of Intelligent Recommender Systems in Vocational Rehabilitation

With the rapid development of information technology, the application of intelligent recommender systems in various fields has become more and more extensive, and vocational rehabilitation, as a field focusing on personalized services, faces the challenge of how to effectively use big data and intelligent algorithms to enhance the rehabilitation effect. This paper discusses the design principles and key technologies of intelligent recommender system in vocational rehabilitation, combining data-driven recommendation algorithms with users' personalized needs to achieve accurate recommendation of vocational rehabilitation programs. Through the optimization of system architecture and functional implementation, the intelligent recommender system shows remarkable effects in practical application, effectively improving the decision-making efficiency and user satisfaction in the rehabilitation process. Finally, this paper gives an outlook on the future development of the intelligent recommendation system in the field of vocational rehabilitation, and proposes possible research directions and application expansion paths.
