Analyzing the Need for a Library Application at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Azharyah Palembang with Recommendations

This study aims to analyze the need for library applications and come out with solutions on the design for developing a library application at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Azharyah Palembang. The need should cater to enhancing efficiency in library management and facilitating access to learning resources for both students and teaching staff. The application development process involves user needs analysis, system design, software implementation, and testing in a real-world environment. The research method employed in this study is The Analysis, Research, and Development (ARD) with an Agile approach, allowing flexibility in adapting application features according to user requirements. The research findings indicate that the developed library application accelerates administrative processes, such as recording book loans and returns, and includes a search feature that simplifies user access to the book collection. Application testing revealed a high level of user satisfaction, although some feedback was provided for improvements in features and the user interface. Therefore, this application is expected to be an effective solution in achieving more modern and efficient library management at MI Azharyah Palembang.

Exploring the synergy between generative AI and software engineering: Automating code optimization and bug fixing

As applied to software engineering, generative AI is quickly transitioning from a zero-sum industry game changer into the primary automation tool for code optimization, bug identification, and problem-solving. This technology takes advantage of artificial intelligence algorithms within machine learning models to analyze and write code, resulting in improved quality and speed of an application development process. The generative AI replenishes productivity in development work and enhances centralization between development work teams through code handling and intelligent suggestions for essential codes. However, the integration of AI in software engineering poses the following problems and ethical questions: the question of accuracy, bias, and data. This paper will review the existing knowledge on generative AI in software engineering regarding its current use, future evolutions and advancements, issues and limitations, and ethical factors in using this technology. This paper considers these aspects to give a global outlook on how generative AI will transform software development in the future and how responsible AI should be employed.

Implementation of Augmented Reality Teaching and Learning Kit to Enhance Visualization, Motivation and Understanding among TVET Students

Augmented Reality (AR) technology is one of the increasingly preferred choices for educational development of education. This study aims to identify the level of visualization, motivation and understanding by designing and developing an AR application for the topic of Engineering Drawing. This application enhances the user's clarity and comprehension on the types of drawings and the form of the drawing to be presented. The design and development process of this AR application uses the Hannafin and Peck model as a guideline. The research instruments used are expert review forms for product development and questionnaires. The study included a total of 52 students from Sungai Buloh Vocational College, Selangor, as participants. The findings were analysed descriptively using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 27. The evaluation was conducted on three (3) aspects, namely the level of visualisation, motivation and comprehension of the students, as well as the significance of research to examine the gender differences between the three aspects. The findings of the study revealed that the use of the AR application produced for the three (3) components yielded a favourable outcome with a reliability value of r=0.855, which demonstrates that the instrument possesses a high level of reliability. However, no significant difference was found between the genders of the students that participated in the study. In general, the findings of the study indicate that the implementation of the AR teaching and learning kit has yielded positive outcomes in terms of enhancing students' visualisation skills, motivation levels and comprehension of the Engineering Drawings subject.

Support Personas: A Concept for Tailored Support of Users of Privacy-Enhancing Technologies

In many applications and websites people use in their everyday life, their privacy and data are threatened, e.g., by script tracking during browsing. Although researchers and companies have developed privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), they are often difficult to use for lay users. In this paper, we conducted a literature review to classify users into different extit{support personas} based on their privacy competence and privacy concern. With developers of PETs in mind, support personas were envisioned to facilitate the customization of software according to the support needs of different users. In order to demonstrate the usefulness of support personas and based on workshop sessions with 15 participants, we designed a browser extension that supports users with the issue of script tracking by providing different user interfaces for different support personas. The following qualitative evaluation with 31 participants showed that the developed UI elements worked as intended for the different support personas. Therefore, we conclude the concept of support personas is useful in the development process of usable applications that enhance the privacy of the users while also educating them and thus potentially increasing their privacy literacy.

OPTIMIZATION OF CROSS-PLATFORM APPLICATIONS USING THE REACT LIBRARY

In today's world, with the growing use of mobile devices, the importance of creating cross-platform applications that provide high performance and quality of user experience has increased significantly. Improving the creation of such applications using React and React Native opens up wide opportunities for developers due to the possibility of code reuse, high development speed and ease of innovation, and is especially relevant because it concerns not only the technological aspects of development, but also economic efficiency, quality of user experience and the speed of introducing innovations to the software market. Open source and active community communication allow rapid identification and resolution of issues, development of new features and enhancements, and the sharing of knowledge and experience between developers. This creates a positive environment for innovation and growth, promotes rapid technological progress, and improves the quality of end products. The paper analyzes the key aspects and challenges associated with the creation of cross-platform applications, analyzes the main types of optimizations at different levels of development, including the component level, the state and data level, the level of working with APIs and external data, as well as the loading and code level. Special attention is paid to the integration of synchronous and asynchronous rendering to achieve optimal performance and user experience. Highlights the benefits of flexible state management using state managers, as well as the importance of image and media optimization to improve overall website performance. The article notes the role of the developer community in the process of improvement and innovation. Developers who master these technologies and optimize their application can create products that not only meet the requirements of the time, but also form new standards in the field of mobile and web development. Further research and integration of the latest technologies into the development process of cross-platform applications will have a significant impact on the software industry.

Membangun Sistem Operasi Windows Serverless Mempermudah Pengembangan dan Deployment Aplikasi Modern

Exploring the concept of the Windows serverless operating system as a solution in the development and deployment of modern applications. Through a quantitative approach, this study evaluates how serverless technology can improve efficiency, reduce costs, and speed up the application development process. Using case studies and data analysis, this study provides practical guidance for developers and organizations in adopting serverless architectures in Windows environments.

Analisis Penilaian Risiko Pengembangan Aplikasi GA Service Menggunakan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) – Studi Kasus Perusahaan Jasa PT XYZ

Along with technological developments, a derivative form of corporate digital transformation of the General and Property Assets Division (DIV MUM) of PT XYZ Head Office is developing in the form of a digital transformation general affairs application program. The existence of digital transformation is not only able to reduce operational costs and increase productivity but also able to strengthen competitiveness between companies and overall performance. This research is interesting to study because with the new system, in addition to the risks that need to be mapped first, this application can be a cost reduction for the company. This research uses qualitative analysis, with data collection techniques in this research using mixed methods. The unit of analysis used, namely the data analysis unit, is a single unit with a single case study. The risk mapping results state that there are three risks that fall into the "extreme" category, nine risks fall into the "high" category, five risks fall into the "medium" category, and eleven risks fall into the "very low" category. Then the mapping results can determine the priority risks of the GA Service application development process, there are 17 risks.

Research Project Topic Recommender System Using Generative Language Model

Education has become a driver of a person's continuous innovation to improve their quality. Currently, the use of artificial intelligence determines progress in education. In this research, artificial intelligence technology was applied to develop a web-based recommendation system to help students at the Faculty of Computer Science, Klabat University, choose appropriate research topics for their final assignments. To provide personalized and contextually relevant suggestions, the recommendation system leverages deep learning and generative language models, specifically GPT-3. The Rapid Application Development process model is employed to develop the system. Its key components include semantic search, rapid engineering, and an advanced vector database for effective data management and retrieval. The functions provided by the system include user account registration, login, input of major subject grades and research preferences, and personalized recommendation results. Some additional features such as profile management, previous recommendation history, and password reset options are also provided. All these functions have been tested using the black box method.

Applications to Support Smart Learning Environments in Project-Based Cooperative Learning Models in Java Programming Courses and Applied in Science

This research paper proposes the development of an application to support an intelligent learning environment in a project-based cooperative learning model on Java programming courses. The application is built using the Laravel framework where the end result later lecturers can easily see the student portfolio of each learning access on the java programming course. An intelligent learning environment will enable students to learn from their experiences, adapt to new input, and perform project tasks already assigned to lecturers. This application will also help teachers in groups that are adapted from the cooperative learning model of the STAD type. The proposed application will be designed to make it easier for teachers to form groups based on the ability of students from high, medium and low, so that the groups formed are not homogeneous groups. This application will be useful for a variety of study programmer that have practical programming courses devised. This paper will discuss the benefits of cooperative learning, project-based learning, and intelligent learning environments in the context of Java programming courses. It will also provide insights into the proposed application development process. This application facilitates communication and discussion among students in a group that is easily connected with their lecturer, so that the lecturer can also monitor the activity of the group members. This paper will conclude with a discussion of the potential impact of the proposed applications on the field of education and the future in the learning environment.

METODE AGILE DEVELOPMENT DALAM PERANCANGAN UNDANGAN DIGITAL MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI IONIC MOBILE DAN ANGULAR FRAMEWORKS

Covid-19 pandemic has made people compete to create new digital-based business models, one of which is digital invitations. With the digital invitation, it is expected to reduce waste from paper and plastic produced from conventional invitations in general. In building the application, the author uses the Agile Development Method because this method can provide values faster with better quality and predictions. The Agile Development method in building this application also allows changing needs in the middle of the application Development process, because one of the properties of this method is flexibility. The author uses the Ionic Framework and Elementor in the application Development process because this Framework can produce applications that are easy, fast and have an attractive appearance. We develop this digital invitation application with the hope that people who want to organize events can take advantage of existing technology with digital invitations, instead of using conventional invitations which increase paper and plastic waste. In addition to this, the author's goal in building this application is to create business opportunities, namely by pioneering information technology companies/startups. The results of this study are a Mobile-based digital invitation application that can be downloaded on the Google Play Store which can be used by smartPhone users to create digital invitations

Augmented reality to visualize a finite element analysis for assessing clamping concepts

This paper presents the development of an innovative augmented reality application for evaluating clamping concepts through visualizing the finite element analysis. The focus is on transforming the traditional simulation results into immersive, holographic displays, enabling users to experience and assess finite element analysis in three dimensions. The application development process involves data processing by MATLAB, visualization in the software Unity, and displaying holograms through Microsoft’s Hololens2. The most significant advancement introduces a new algorithm for rendering different finite elements in Unity. The application targets not only university engineering students but also vocational students with limited background in finite element analysis and machining, aiming to make the learning process more interactive and engaging. It was tested in a real machining environment, demonstrating its technical feasibility and potential in engineering education.

DevSecOps: Improving Software Development Life Cycle

Unfortunately, organizations currently face a significant challenge in effectively bridging the gap between these teams during the application development process. AR-NAVIS: Mobility Application for Blind and Deaf Students Based on Augmented Reality

Students with disabilities, especially those with visual and hearing impairments, face challenges in navigating through the campus environment. Hence, the development of AR-NAVIS as an Augmented Reality (AR)-based mobility orientation application stands as a significant innovation in providing services for them. This application aims to assist disabled students in moving within the campus environment, both indoors and outdoors. AR-NAVIS identifies the safest and most efficient routes, enabling disabled students to engage in independent activities and enhancing both their academic and non-academic performance. The application development process involves analyzing students' needs, prototype design, model validation, trials, and dissemination. Its features include AR-based 3D guidance, directional text, voice, vibration mode, and hazard information. The app is expected to provide accurate information about buildings or locations that are the destination for disabilities students. The result show that application development can guide disabilities user move between buildings smoothly. The experiment found that there was an increase in student activity after having this application.

SISTEM INFORMASI RESERVASI KAMAR HOTEL BINTANG TIMUR BERBASIS WEB

The Hotel Room Reservation management system is able to provide convenience in the daily reservation service process, which is capable of displaying and processing the information required from a hotel's activities, including the number and position of visitors, income, available booking rooms, booking list, etc. The design of this system is expected to make it easier for East Jambi hotels to process data related to hotel room reservation management. The aim of this Thesis for the Room Reservation Information System at the Bintang Timur Hotel Jambi is to facilitate the processing of hotel room reservation data at the Bintang Timur Hotel Jambi. The main elements in forming a system consist of input, process, and output. The input required for this system is input of employee data, guest data, service data, room data and room reservation data. With a process that includes employee data processing, guest data processing, service data processing, room data processing and room reservation data processing, which will produce an output report on hotel room reservation transactions. The software development uses Visual Studio Code as a text editor, a web-based interface is built using the HTML, PHP, CSS programming languages to facilitate the application development process with the PhpMyAdmin database. From this research, a design for the Bintang Timur Jambi Hotel Room Reservation Information System was produced which can simplify the processing of hotel room reservation data and the preparation of reports.

Implementasi Pendataan Kawin Belum Tercatat : Solusi Melalui Aplikasi Kalimasada untuk Peningkatan Kualitas Data Penduduk di Kelurahan Kedungdoro

Community Service in English means community service, which is an activity of helping the community in the form of several activities without expecting any form of reward. Community service is one of the pillars of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely: education, research and community service. Universities not only carry out education for their students, but also carry out research and develop innovation, as well as preserve and develop superior knowledge that is beneficial to society. Data collection on marriages that have not been registered is a problem that is often faced in managing population data in many sub-districts. This article discusses the proposed solution through the development of the Kalimasada application to improve the quality of population data in Kedungdoro Village. The service method used involves the process of data collection, needs analysis, application development, and user training. The approach used is the use of mobile application-based information technology to facilitate the process of collecting data on unregistered marriages. The Kalimasada application is designed with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, allowing sub-district officials to quickly record data on unregistered marriages. In addition, this application is equipped with an automatic data validation feature to reduce input errors and increase data accuracy. During the service process, training was conducted for the community about the importance of reporting unregistered marriages to subdistrict officers via the Kalimasada application. The results of implementing the Kalimasada application show a significant increase in data collection on unregistered marriages in Kedungdoro Village. With this application, the data collection process becomes more efficient and accurate, producing more valid and reliable data. Apart from that, public participation in reporting unregistered marriages has also increased, so that the data collected becomes more complete. In conclusion, developing the Kalimasada application is an effective solution for improving the quality of population data in Kedungdoro Village. The use of information technology in public administration can help speed up the data collection process and increase data accuracy. The next step is to expand the implementation of this application to other sub-districts and continue to carry out monitoring and evaluation to ensure its sustainability and effectiveness in the long term.

What is discussed about Flutter on Stack Overflow (SO) question-and-answer (Q&A) website: An empirical study

Context:Mobile applications are growing in prevalence. Cross-platform application is one of the main challenges within mobile application development. Aiming to facilitate the process of mobile application development, the software engineering community developed multiple solutions to support cross-platform application development. Flutter is a recent cross-platform software development kit (SDK) that has been rising in popularity. Objective:This study aims to gain a better understanding of Flutter stance on Stack Overflow (SO). Method:The study identified and analyzed 176,876 Flutter-related questions to understand the interest towards Flutter. The study utilized Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to identify Flutter-related topics discussed within the identified questions. Subsequently, a number of heuristics were utilized to gauge the popularity and difficulty of topics. Results:The study revealed that interest towards Flutter was steadily increasing on SO until it dropped in 2023 and SO users discuss 12 Flutter-related topics, with the topic of setup and build automation being the most popular and most difficult. Conclusion:This study highlights the interest towards Flutter on SO, identifies Flutter-related topics discussed on the website, and assess the topics popularity and difficulty. Software researchers, practitioners, educators, and Flutter contributors may utilize the results to steer their future Flutter-related efforts.

Implementation of Agile Methods in GIS Web Applications for Land Suitability Selection

Perusahaan Daerah Perkebunan (PDP) Kahyangan is a Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) in Jember Regency which was formed in order to manage plantation commodities in 3 Main Plantations and two Subdivision Plantations. PDP’s profit contribution to Jember’s PAD (Pendapatan Asli Daerah) has continued to decline in recent years. With a target of PAD from plantation products in 2020 of 20 million rupiah, only 20% can be realized (4 million rupiah). Based on the 2023 PDP Kahyangan Jember Strategic Plan, one of the problems causing the opinion deficit is external factors. One of them is the suitability between the potential of the plants planted and the land conditions in a plantation area. Where land suitability, which is the carrying capacity of the land, has a significant effect on crop production. Based on the problems that have been presented, it is necessary to design a GIS-based Decision Support System (DSS), which can provide insight to researchers, practitioners and policy makers regarding the success of managing GIS data for the land suitability evaluation process so that it can increase agricultural productivity. Several stages that will be carried out include data collection, data preparation, and data processing carried out in GIS, then continued with implementation of Decision Support System. The used of agile methods to the application development process ensures that the application is built in a shorter time through the use of continuous iteration and testing thereby ensuring that the DSS implementation on the Web GIS application can run optimally.

The project employs robust architecture, leveraging technologies such as Spring Boot and Hibernate to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability. Additionally, it emphasizes user experience and interface design principles to enhance usability and engagement. The research documents the challenges encountered during development, including security considerations, scalability concerns, and integration complexities, and elucidates the strategies employed to overcome them. Through rigorous testing and quality assurance measures, the application achieves a high standard of reliability and functionality. Dockerized Application with Web Interface

Developing an application can be a task if any kind of conflict arises during deploying the code or while running them and it can be due to the storage or the code being not supported by the other party’s system. Thus to provide a solution for this matter, we are introducing the project concept of Dockerized application deployment through a web interface. This proposed project combines the efficiency of Docker containers with a web interface to create a platform for running and managing applications easily. When a programmer or a developer or anyone in the field of programming has conflict in uploading, running or deploying their application code from another programmer’s system to their own due to the inefficiency or lack of facilities in their system, they can use this web interface as a solution. Especially during the time of any rush, they can opt for this web interface as it does not require the installation of a local Docker software and any extra dependency management, as installation of Dockers are a bit time lagging. One of the main factors of this project is that this web interface can be run in any kind of computer system without any extra facilities being added to it. Whether the system is less efficient or high efficient regardless of the type of the system, this web interface is easy to access for the users. Users can upload their application code, build Docker images, and run them directly from the web interface. With the advantage of Docker’s utility methodologies for shipping, testing and deploying code, you can reduce the delay between writing codes and running applications .It has additional features like users can define environment variables for their applications, configure network settings for container communication ,mount persistent volumes to store application data with help of virtual cloud, implement user roles and permissions for secure access control .The front end of the web page is created using NEXT Programming Language meanwhile the backend is applied using NEXT, Docker and Python Flask API. About NEXT Programming Language that in this language, when the front-end is applied the backend function gets directly deployed making us use less effort in creating the webpage. It's a newly created advanced programming language. Overall, this Dockerized application deployment web-interface offers a user-friendly and efficient solution for developers, system administrators, and DevOps teams, streamlining the application development and deployment process.

The ASAM.ID Application as a Learning Media for Environmental Literacy

Garbage is a crucial problem that must be resolved by all parties, including universities. Universities can contribute to efforts to increase community literacy in waste management through the development of learning applications. This paper aimed to describe the ASAM.ID application development process and its feasibility to be used as an alternative learning media in increasing students’ environmental literacy in waste management. The application development process began with making flowcharts and developing application designs and content. The validation results of content and media experts showed that the ASAM.ID application can be used as an alternative learning media to increase students’ environmental literacy. This study recommends this application be tested in science learning to see its effectiveness and implemented on a broader scale.
