The Caspian Fault as an Indicator of Global Geopolitical Processes

A new stage of the “Big Game” in the Eurasian space is unfolding with the participation of an alliance of states, the so-called collective West. The goals and scope of the confrontation are not limited to Central Asia, but cover the entire Eurasian arc of instability. The area of the Caspian region is considered as the axial zone of the Eurasian continent, on which the geopolitical interests of the leading economies are focused and a new space of world economic development is being formed.Aim. To analyze the current geopolitical situation in the area of the Greater Caspian region, including the Central Asian space from the point of view of Russia’s national interests.Task. To identify the role of the Russian Federation and to substantiate the state of developmen t of geopolitical processes in the space of the Eurasian arc of instability.Methods. The work uses general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, system and project approaches, analytical, descriptive and monographic methods, models and mechanisms of spatial development.Results. At the present stage of world economic development, the motivation s of humanity are being formed in the context of creative development and the alignment of geopolitical processes in the vector of creating a more just and multipolar world. A special mission of the awakening process is assigned to Russia, which is a civilizational leader for the self-consc iousness of the peoples of the world of the objective need for a global creative reset. In the area of the Greater Caspian region, the outlines of a new model of the world order are being formed based on the consolidation of the efforts of the system-forming and interconnected international organizations of the SCO, CICA and BRICS.Conclusions. The strengthening of the role of the new world economic duo of Russia and China is accompanied by global trends of positive development in the world as the process of forming a “new integral world economic order” has begun.

This article is devoted to the analysis of a number of issues related to the study of the role of technological factors in ensuring the artificial intelligence transparency in the world economic relations development of the Russian Federation in the context of globalization. In the article, ensuring the artificial intelligence transparency is due to the contradiction of the legislative system and the international integration of the Russian Federation with other countries. The object of the study is multilateral and diverse cooperation between Russia and international organizations in the field of solving problems of the artificial intelligence technologies’ development and implementation. The subject of the study is the relationships, developing in Russia in connection with the international trade development, using modern artificial intelligence technologies. The purpose of the study is to develop the Russian economy in the world economic system, based on the use of technological factors to ensure the artificial intelligence transparency. The purpose of the study is to determine the AI transparency as a characteristic of the international economic system development, as well as to study various properties of ensuring this transparency. The methodology of theoretical literature review and observation is considered. Regulatory documents, statistical materials, and targeted programs for the artificial intelligence development in the Russian Federation are analyzed. The research results are as follows: the role of technological factors in ensuring the artificial intelligence transparency in the world economic relations development of the Russian Federation in the context of globalization has been identified. In particular, AI transparency as a property of the international economic system and AI transparency as a property of the understandability of the international integration economic processes algorithm are considered. Thus, tools for the world economic processes development in the Russian Federation based on the creation of a transparent artificial intelligence system promote cooperation in the transfer of knowledge and technology, integration cooperation, improvement of the international economic, organizations activities, and growth in labor productivity.

Measurement and Analysis of the Relationship between General Revenues and Imbalance in Iraq's Export Structure For duration (2004-2021)

The Iraqi economy relies primarily on oil exports to achieve necessary financial surpluses in order to finance economic and social development plans. Capital imports also contribute to improving the productive capacity of all sectors that directly or indirectly contribute to the country's economic growth if they actually exist. These imports, represented by the equipment and machinery necessary for building and developing infrastructure in Iraq, which cannot be provided except through foreign trade, make Iraq closely connected to broad economic relationships with most of the developed world economies. Oil revenues have had a positive impact on the general budget situation. However, on the other hand, the lack of a productive base has led to the leakage of revenues towards imports to meet domestic demand, resulting in an imbalance in the overall export structure. Moreover the research objective was to identify the relative importance of total exports in Iraq and how they are affected by oil revenues during the period 2004-2021. The hypothesis is fiscal policy has led to a disruption in the structure of Iraq's exports. And one of the most important result that appeared general revenues depend to a large extent on oil revenues compared to other revenues (non-oil), which means that the Iraqi economy is considered one-sided. With the weakness of revenues achieved from productive sectors (industry and agriculture) as well as weak tax revenues, this leads to an imbalance in the structure of the trade balance, evident through the dominance of oil exports over total exports in the country. Regional energy consumption policy practice to promote low-carbon economy

IntroductionEnergy is the fundamental driving force for world economic and social development. However, the growth of carbon dioxide emissions and increasing environmental challenges are becoming increasingly problematic, limiting the pace of economic development.MethodsTo optimize the energy consumption structure and promote the development of low-carbon economy, this study took Shaanxi Province as an example to analyze the impact of low-carbon economy policy variables on the energy consumption structure dominated by coal. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of policy variables on the evolution of energy consumption structure by constructing a system dynamics model. In addition, this study will explore policy optimization issues.ResultsThe error of simulation results was within ±10%. The consumption of non-fossil energy increased from 2,196,400 tons of standard coal in 2009 to 22.578 million tons in 2030, which is in line with the development trend. Under these four policy combinations, the share of coal will fall to 57.8 percent by 2030. In addition, the share of non-fossil energy sources will increase to 21 percent and the share of natural gas will reach 16 percent.DiscussionThe policy suggestions put forward in this paper are of great significance to the optimization of energy structure led by coal. The model constructed can be effectively applied to practical policy simulation and adjustment, and can provide reference for the development of low-carbon economic policies in other regions.

Cross-Border Sports Tourism Cooperation under the Open World Economy: Current Situation and Optimization Path

As a new form of tourism, cross-border sports tourism has gradually become an important engine driving the integration of the global tourism and sports industries, particularly in the context of the accelerated development of an open world economy and increasing international exchanges. By combining elements of sports competition, fitness, leisure, and cultural tourism, it promotes resource sharing and tourist flow between different countries and regions. However, cross-border sports tourism cooperation still faces many challenges, such as cultural differences, underdeveloped infrastructure, and complex policy environments. This study analyzes the current status of cross-border sports tourism cooperation and proposes innovative cooperation models, infrastructure development, and cultural exchange optimization paths. The aim is to provide feasible strategies for future cross-border sports tourism cooperation and envision its future development trends. Digital transformation, sustainable development, and policy innovation will become key driving forces for cross-border sports tourism cooperation. The research results provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the sustainable development of cross-border sports tourism in the context of building an open world economy.

In conditions when the main meaningful meaning of the choice of the Russian way forward is formed, the problem of the formation of economic theory, adequate to the modern stage of development of national and world economies, whose economic systems are in a state of deep transformation, is actualized more than ever. Economic science in the “new reality” is faced with such phenomena as the socialization of the economic life of modern society, the economization and financialization of politics and the politicization of the economy in the context of the globalization process, again highlighting the question of the place and directions of the development of political economy in economic science. Therefore, there is a serious question about the paradigm of modern economic theory, which would absorb the reflection of these new processes. For this reason, this material is a kind of attempt to integrate into the ongoing discussion about the place and development of political economy, about expanding the subject of economic theory [1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8], offering an author’s methodological perspective on the principal issues of discussion. Participation in the discussion is also important from the point of view of the position of research teachers leading disciplines included in one capacity or another in economic theory. And this means - developing the criterion-value socio-economic worldview of future specialists, their methodological culture of research.

Promoting carbon neutrality: Indian tourists’ intentions to adopt energy-saving behaviours

ABSTRACT Tourism in India contributes to the world's fourth-largest carbon footprint due to its escalating population and rising income levels, but its emissions per person are lower than those of other developed world economies. As one of the largest emerging economies, India's pledge to transition to Net Zero emissions to become Carbon Neutral in COP26 is a great leap forward in achieving Sustainable goals. This study provides an empirical investigation of Indian Tourists’ Intention to adopt Energy-Saving Behaviours (IESB) to promote Carbon Neutrality while travelling by constructing an integrated model incorporating the Norm Activation Model (NAM) and the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) with Environmental Value (EV) and Climate Change Awareness (CA). Data from 456 tourists were gathered online and offline from March 9 to April 25, 2023. The analysis utilised Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with AMOS and SPSS, testing eight hypotheses statistically. The findings are instrumental for the new climate change goals, policymakers, the tourism sector and various related businesses and hotels for ensuring sustainable practices. This is one of the first studies empirically investigating ESB and Carbon neutrality in one of the largest growing economies by extending the NAM and TPB through the realm of travel and tourism.

“One Belt and One Road” vs. the Community of Human Destiny: Creating More Economic and Business Opportunities to the World

Since being proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013, the "One Belt and One Road (OBOR)" major initiative has been highly regarded by the international community, has responded positively to the relevant countries, and has become a Chinese national strategy. The vision and action documents for constructing "One Belt and One Road" have been formulated and written into relevant resolutions and documents of the UN Security Council. The "One Belt and One Road" initiative has actively responded to and participated worldwide in recent years. Noteworthy progress has been made in transforming the concept of "One Belt and One Road" from the vision to the real action. Compared with several significant plans in the history of world economic development, pushing forward the construction of "One Belt and One Road" has its characteristics and uniqueness. The goal of promoting the "One Belt and One Road" construction is to open wider to the outside world through promoting and further deepening reform, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation with other developed and developing countries, and to build a community of human destiny.

Multi-Scale Higher-Order Dependencies (MSHOD): Higher-Order Interactions Mining and Key Nodes Identification for Global Liner Shipping Network

Liner shipping accounts for over 80% of the global transportation volume, making substantial contributions to world trade and economic development. To advance global economic integration further, it is essential to link the flows of global liner shipping routes with the complex system of international trade, thereby supporting liner shipping as an effective framework for analyzing international trade and geopolitical trends. Traditional methods based on first-order global liner shipping networks, operating at a single scale, lack sufficient descriptive power for multi-variable sequential interactions and data representation accuracy among nodes. This paper proposes an effective methodology termed “Multi-Scale Higher-Order Dependencies (MSHOD)” that adeptly reveals the complexity of higher-order interactions among multi-scale nodes within the global liner shipping network. The key step of this method is to construct high-order dependency networks through multi-scale attributes. Based on the critical role of high-order interactions, a method for key node identification has been proposed. Experiments demonstrate that, compared to other methods, MSHOD can more effectively identify multi-scale nodes with regional dependencies. These nodes and their generated higher-order interactions could have transformative impacts on the network’s flow and stability. Therefore, by integrating multi-scale analysis methods to mine high-order interactions and identify key nodes with regional dependencies, this approach provides robust insights for assessing policy implementation effects, preventing unforeseen incidents, and revealing regional dual-circulation economic models, thereby contributing to strategies for global, stable development.

Resident Communities and Perception of Tourism Sustainability in Sun And Beach Destinations: An Empirical Analysis in The Province of Manabí (Ecuador)

Objective: To know the perception of the resident population on the multidimensional variables of sustainable tourism in sun and beach destinations in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. Theoretical reference: Within this process, methodologies developed by researchers who have worked in nature tourism, conservation and sustainable development were used. The contributions used as theoretical reference are related to the Organization for World Economic Cooperation and Development and its Pressure-State-Response model (OECD 1993); the methodology designed by Torres and Guzmán (2020) through the ISSOT tool to study the variables associated with the multidimensional nature of sustainable tourism or those developed by Casas et al. (2017) and Salvatore, Chiodo and Fantinni (2018). Method: This study was developed through mixed research with an exploratory descriptive approach. For this research, the use of the deductive method was considered for the processing and analysis of data and information collected. From the processed data, a triangulation of quantitative and qualitative data was implemented to achieve a greater understanding of the perception that residents have regarding the impacts generated by tourism in these destinations. Results and conclusion: The results analyzed in this work aim to make contributions to the orientation, design and implementation of public policies in Ecuadorian sun and beach destinations based on a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable tourism development. This requires considering that the benefits and costs perceived by residents play a fundamental role in the local tourism development process, as they will have a greater willingness to accept this development to the extent that the former surpass the latter. Implications of the research: The results of this research have served to validate the criteria, guidelines and variables related to the planning, management and sustainable development of tourism in the territory, all with a strategic and sustainable long-term approach that allows generating positive benefits for local rural populations without degrading ecosystems and through the conservation of natural heritage. Originality/value: This work is an authentic and original work that has been developed for several years through the Academy and scientific research in different territories of continental and insular Ecuador, which seeks to establish real data that allows generating valuable information for more effective and efficient decision making from the point of sustainability and local development.

Сучасні тенденції розвитку людського капіталу в глобальному середовищі.

The world’s development currently reflects the influence of globalization processes affecting the world economy, international relations, and human development. Therefore, it is relevant to study changes in human development under the impact of the growing interconnectedness and interdependence of the world. The objective of this article is to determine the impact of global processes on human development, as reflected by the global HDI. The novelty of the article is that it reveals trends in the development of human capital in a global environment under the influence of transnationalization processes, rising international migration, and the growth of global cities. The research relies on the methods of system analysis, scientific generalizations and comparisons, as well as economic and statistical analysis. The article postulates that multinational companies, which have spread in the process of globalization, contributed to the creation of millions of jobs throughout the world, stimulated the demand for highly qualified specialists and the rapid growth of all types of education, and promoted the introduction of new forms of production organization and control enhancing production culture and management. This caused the growth of employees’ incomes, boosted demand for consumer goods, thus stimulating a significant expansion of the range of supplied goods and services, the growth of national production and domestic market, and, finally, enhancing living standards and HDI indicators of the host countries. The rising importance of global demographic trends embraces a noticeable growth of the Earth’s population, which is uneven by country and region, the growth in the percentage of elderly people, especially in the developed countries. An important trend is the growth of international migration resulting from the liberalization of international relations, the development of communications, access to better education, the growth of well-being and expanding opportunities for education and self-realization abroad. The number of international migrants is growing faster than the global population, and this trend is likely to continue in the future. Urbanization and the growth of global cities have a significant impact on human development due to their high rates of employment, highly skilled labor, high professional and cultural level of workers, and high incomes. Such cities have become centers accumulating creative and intellectual capitals. The article exposes that investments in education, welfare, and health care in many countries had a positive long-term (over 30 consecutive years) effect on the growing values of the Human Development Index, as well as the global HDI, although the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted it in 2020. Meanwhile, HDI changes occur differently in different country groups, with OECD countries permanently holding the leading positions. The research adds new qualitative knowledge about human capital, trends in its development in the new conditions of globalization, which strengthens traditional views and enriches alternative approaches to the formation of conceptual understanding of human capital.

Preface: 5th International Conference on World Trade and Economic Development (WTED 2024)

We want to present the 2024 5th International Conference on World Trade and Economic Development (WTED 2024) held in Miami, USA during May 11-12, 2024. This conference was held both on-site and online. In general, there are two sessions, namely plenary and parallel. The plenary session was given to three keynote speakers, which ends with a Q&A session. Parallel session is for authors who present their papers and is carried out in four groups. As a scientific forum, the WTED 2024 was attended by 56 participants from researcher, scholar, students, teachers, engineers, and practitioners who participate either as presenters or as participants. The main aim of this conference is to share ideas and knowledge and build collaboration with each other. We received many papers that will be selected to be published with the scope of world trade, economic development, and related area. In this volume, we accept a small number of papers for publication after meeting the scope, checking originality, and performing peer review. We are hoping that this event will become a foothold of thinking in welcoming global developments. The organizing and editorial committee of WTED 2024 hopes you enjoy reading this volume. Research on the Reform and Innovation of International Student Training Mode-Bases on Textile Engineering Major

With the rapid development of world economy, international student cultivation will be facing new challenges. The article focuses on analyzing the overall development of international education in China and the practical problems and major challenges faced by universities in the process of cultivating and educating international students. And taking the textile engineering major as an example, combined with the current international situation and background, it tries to propose innovative measures and ideas in terms of platform construction, enrollment channels, and professional course construction, practical teaching and other aspects for the reform of international education, in order to provide reference for the training of international students in the future.

Research issues of the region as an adaptive socio-economic system

Aim. To consider the issues of regional management in the modern conditions of the country’s economic development, which are characterized, on the one hand, by objective factors of the world economy development, such as dynamism, complexity, instability of the foreign economic environment, on the other hand, by the unfriendly attitude of a number of Western countries, which is expressed primarily in the application of economic sanctions to Russia.Objectives. To identify the main directions and peculiarities of the positions of various domestic and foreign authors regarding the issues of the study of the region as an adaptive socio[1]economic system; to formulate the functions and properties of the region as a system.Methods. The authors used empirical and analytical methods of research, defined the region from the position of the system approach.Results. The author’s vision of key properties of the region as a socio-economic system is presented, their description from the position of regional management is given. The existing approaches are analyzed and the peculiarities of the organizational and economic structure of management of the region as a system are defined, and the directions of its development in the conditions of unstable market environment are highlighted.Conclusions. There is an obvious need to form a new methodology of regional management on the basis of the system approach, taking into account the peculiarities of modern economic realities. The first step to this is the substantiation of the region as an open socio-economic system. The idea of expediency of further improvement of the mechanism of regional management on the basis of the principles of adaptation and self-organization is put forward.

Exploration and Practice of Value Cultivation for Students in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Programs

The management cooperative education program refers to collaborative educational projects in the field of management between domestic and foreign universities. This collaboration model helps integrate high-quality education resources from both domestic and international sources, enhancing the quality of teaching and providing students with a broader international perspective and opportunities for career development. This article focuses on the exploration and practice of fostering values for students in management cooperative education. By systematically reviewing key areas such as management ideologies both domestically and internationally, corporate culture and values, and the history of world economic development, this article delves into how to effectively guide students in embracing values of openness, inclusiveness, innovation, and collaboration. On the practical level, the article combines case studies of transnational corporate management practices with the growth and contributions of entrepreneurs in China and abroad, proposing a series of specific cultivation strategies and methods. By integrating case analysis with practical teaching, the aim of this article is to help students translate their learned values into tangible actions, laying a solid foundation for future career development and social responsibility. The research findings of this article have important guiding significance for promoting the cultivation of values for students in management cooperative education.

The New Development Economics as a Methodological and Ideological Discipline

The article is devoted to the description of a fundamentally new configuration of the discipline "Development Economics", offered as a theoretical understanding of modern transformation processes in the world economy. The discipline is designed for master's programs of economic directions of training, although it is built on the basis of an interdisciplinary approach. It is shown that the traditional courses on development economics, formed in the West in recent decades, were aimed at explaining the economic backwardness of developing countries and developing recommendations for overcoming the lag in the framework of globalization logic of the world economy development. The problems of developing countries and recipes for economic modernization have been presented in the format of macroeconomic models and institutional explanatory schemes, which do not reflect the much deeper causes of underdevelopment. At the beginning of the 21st century, the topics of Western courses were supplemented with global challenges of human development – inequality and poverty, environmental pollution, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the "green agenda", and so on. However, these problems are also treated within the framework of the devalued globalist agenda. The ongoing deglobalization and the search for a new world economic order have devalued the theoretical background of traditional development economics. In the proposed new discipline, the problem of modern economic development is revealed with the help of geographical, geo-economic, long-term technological, institutional factors, with the involvement of the latest research in the framework of economic theory and related scientific directions of both domestic and foreign authors. The authors propose a competitive non-equilibrium paradigm of economic processes as the basic ontological concept of the course, in contrast to the implicitly existing equilibrium paradigm in the standard versions of the course "Development Economics".

Research on Global Tax Governance under the Background of Digital Economy

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Under the background of digital economy, global tax governance has become one of the important topics in today's world development and change. In recent years, new challenges, such as tax base erosion and profit transfer, and the imbalance of cross-border tax source division, have become prominent, forcing the reform of international tax rules and the reshaping of international tax order. Based on this, the article first deeply digs into the scale and cross-border characteristics of the spatial-temporal aggregation of the digital economy, and comprehensively evaluates its impact on the global tax governance pattern. After that, the article combs out the realistic picture and challenges of the current digital tax reform from the aspects of theoretical basis, basic principles and governance mechanism. Finally, based on China's basic national conditions, the article puts forward some institutional ideas and policy suggestions, with a view to improving China's participation, voice and influence in global tax governance, and also enabling governments, enterprises and residents of various countries to enjoy the fruits of world economic development fairly and promote the construction of Community of Shared Future for Mankind.</span></p>

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS AND RECOVERY STRATEGY OF THE AVIATION AND SPACE INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE

The influence of the aviation and space industries on the development of the world economy and economic development, industrial potential, competitiveness and position of various countries in the world is shown in the article. Global aviation and space market has been studied and an economic analysis of the aviation and space sector of the industry of the countries that are among ten world leaders in the industry was carried out. The main indicators of the development of the aviation and space industry of world countries-leaders and Ukraine have been systematized. The volumes of income of the leading companies of the industry producers, between which there is fierce competition, have been given. International competitiveness has been analyzed and ways of recovery and development of the aviation and space sector of Ukraine were proposed, taking into consideration the significant losses and damages caused by full-scale military invasion of aggressive neighbor on the territory of Ukraine. Scenarios of competitive behavior were considered and a strategy for the restoration of one of the largest enterprises in the world and single one in the aviation and space industry in Ukraine that has completed the cycle of engine production – Joint Stock Company Motor Sich has been made.

The Role of Russian Non-Resource Export in Technological Sovereignty Achievement of African Countries

The modern trends of world economic development include complicated digital and transformation processes, which create a wide range of risks and challenges to the actual positions of countries in the world architecture. Also, they open new opportunities for competitiveness and welfare improvement of any state or regional groups, in particular by their technological sovereignty creation. The share of African countries in the world trade accounts for 3%, however, the interest in this region, as a foreign trade partner, is increasing. This is driven by the intensity of considerable reserves of natural resources, existing and potential in the sphere of renewable energy sources and of local production involvement in global value chains. All this stimulates to elaborate on their own technologies, mitigating the extent of regional economic dependence on external factors. Thus, the African region continues to attract investors, and from this position, Russia is not the exception. At the moment, amid sanctions and diversification of export flows, African countries are actual for Russian producers and suppliers from the implementation process. This paper highlights the key positions of Russian non-resource commodities to African countries, defines the major markets of sales and also to analyze the role of Russian export in African countries’ technological sovereignty achievement.
