ABSTRACT This article explores Fintech’s best practices to address child sexual exploitation (CSE) by utilizing bibliometric software, such as Vosviewer and Biblioshiny, specifically in analyzing research documents focusing on Financial service providers (FSPs) and CSE. Vosviewer and Biblioshiny were used to identify research trends, collaboration patterns, and knowledge maps within the FSP and CSE fields. By using this innovative approach, our research was able to gain deeper insights into recent scientific developments focusing not only on content areas and interpretation but also on network data visualization techniques, cluster analysis, and co-occurrences analysis of the evolution of key themes in the FSPs and CSE literature in addressing CSE. FSPs play a strategic role in preventing and addressing CSE cases. On the one hand, they facilitate transactions with perpetrators of child sexual exploitation. However, on the other hand, they also have the potential to reduce the threat of sexual exploitation of children. This bibliometric research aims to analyze the efforts of FSPs in addressing CSE. The research method used Vosviewer and Biblioshiny software to analyze 45 documents from the Scopus database. The results of this study provide insights into best practices in responding to and addressing child sexual exploitation and identify unexplored research gaps. There are at least 10 research areas and three themes that have not received much attention from researchers, such as ‘commercial sexual exploitation’, ‘child trafficking’, and ‘trauma’. Not only that, socioeconomic determinants also occur in CSE cases involving the abuse of FSPs. To address these issues, best practices focus more on strengthening and enforcing laws and monitoring transactions. The implications of this research can help decision-makers and prepare solutions for the future. In addition, the government needs to create adaptive and solutive policies to protect children and address new forms of criminality.
