Combining Lightweight Encryption Methods to Secure IoT Networks

The rapid development of the underlying infrastructure of the internet has permitted the widespread acceptance of a number of emerging technologies that have far-reaching ramifications for current society. As a result of the expansion of the Internet of Things, several new networking protocols and upgrades have been created and implemented. On top of that, there is a significant shortage of financing for the development of information technology applications, as well as critical security problems that jeopardise private data. Pelatihan Penggunaan Aplikasi SILPPM Pada Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat di Universitas Mohammad Husni Thamrin

In the midst of the lively development of information technology applications nowadays, it has a good impact from various aspects. There are several aspects that have been affected by the development of information technology applications, one of which is administration in an organization or institution. Therefore, on this occasion we will take advantage of information technology applications to support administration in data collection at the Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) at Universitas Mohammad Husni Thamrin (UMHT) so that it can be done using applications or programs. The application or Sistem Informasi Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (SILPPM) is expected to improve LPPM's performance in terms of data collection for lecturers. In recording or collecting data in terms of activities related to LPPM such as research activities, publication of lecturers' articles, scientific works and others. To apply the SILPPM application to LPPM UMHT, socialization is needed to the user so that this application can be used properly. Therefore, it is necessary to hold this community service activity with the aim of disseminating the SILPPM application to admins or users of LPPM employees by providing training in accordance with the modules (manual books) that have been prepared in advance.

DEVELOPING THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION COMPETENCE OF TEACHERS IN ONLINE TEACHING

Developing the competence to use information technology in teaching is one of the important occupational competencies for teachers in the digital age. Information technology application development has many implications in promoting the training process to train and develop students, in accordance with the actual conditions of education in Vietnam and the general trend of the world is essential.Research paper on needs assessment using information technology of teachers in online teaching, proposing the process of identifying the structure of information technology competencies and requirements for capacity development to use information technology in online teaching of training institutions. The parameters in this paper present an empirical research result to address the need to develop the information technology application competence in online teaching, necessary to successful organize online teaching with a variety of theoretical and practical pedagogies in technology in education.

The Val IT Framework provides guidelines, processes and practical support that can help leaders of government agencies understand and carry out their role as determinants of IT application development. Val IT consists of 3 (three) main process domains, namely Value Governance, Portfolio Management and Investment Management. This research is expected to be able to assess the development of information technology applications carried out at City Government Institution X as a case study place, so that the institution's management can determine the best decisions in developing its information technology.

The Development of Information Technology Applications of Religious Charity Through Humanities Technology Approach

There are currently various non-governmental organizations, related to both religious missions and social missions, that motivate the growth of the spirit of generosity. At the same time, these organizations facilitate the collection of donations from donors and subsequently distribute these alms to people who are deemed entitled to them. The charitable institutions have developed significantly, both in terms of fundraising and distribution, partly due to the effective use of online approaches. In its development, the role of online technology has proven to have two opposite effects. In addition to the ease of access to information and effectiveness in facilitating generosity, online approaches are proven to have eliminated the emotional connections between the subjects and the objects of the charitable deeds, in this case between the donors and the recipients. Philanthropic attitudes related to religion, for example, are intended to foster humanistic relationships between the givers and the receptors. This study examines the management of online fundraising, the weaknesses and factors that hamper its implementation, and the quests for the solutions to this problem. This research is a descriptive qualitative study using direct observations over online media as the method for data collection techniques and technoculture for the analysis, supported by literature studies. The main result of this research is the holistic concept of perfecting the fundraising system and online services hence more humane.

Toward a model of effective monitoring of IT application development and maintenance suppliers in multisourced environments

Many international corporations are now adopting multisourcing approaches to information technology (IT). Multisourcing is described as the disciplined provision and blending of services from multiple suppliers both outside the company and within the company. This approach to meeting business goals is primarily concerned with the relationship between the client organization and the multiple suppliers. To date, aspects relating to performance measurement and governance have scarcely been covered in the literature, and established IT frameworks such as control objectives for information and related technology (COBIT) provide imprecise approaches for monitoring suppliers. In this study, we intend to sharpen the existing understanding of how corporations manage and monitor suppliers in a multisourced environment and of why specific key performance indicators (KPIs) are utilized. We provide insights using a real-life example of the monitoring of IT application development and maintenance (IT ADM) suppliers and suggest monitoring dimensions based on a cross-case analysis. Based on inter-rater reliability, we further derive a minimum set of corresponding IT ADM KPIs. This study is expected to help corporations facing similar challenges by providing a set of essential KPIs to monitor IT ADM suppliers.

Information Technology Project Management and Project Success

One of the most important issues for organizations and information technology professionals is the success of information technology (IT) projects. This study reviews a survey of financial executives and examines their views on aspects of project management and project success. First, it was found that overall systems development projects are viewed as being successful by organizations. Next, a series of analyses were performed to assess several variables’ impact on IT project success. Skilled project measurement was found to result in higher IT project success. Restrictions on IT application development were found to correlate to lower IT project success. The most important project consideration did not affect project success. Finally, a significant positive relationship was found between the IT project success and overall IT returns. The implications, limitations, and conclusions of these findings are discussed. The study can be used as a basis for further exploration on project management success, influencing variables, and motivators. The findings can also be used to guide management teams in project management decisions to maximize returns to their organizations. The paper studies a large secondary data sample set, which empirically reviews corporations’ experiences with project management. In addition, it explores variables influencing overall project management success perception.

Improving Consumer Health IT Application Development

This paper is a summary of the Improving Consumer Health Information Technology (IT) Application Development: Lessons from Other Industries, Background Report (available at http://healthit.ahrq.gov/developmentmethodsbackgroundreport). originally published on July 2011. The report was commissioned by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) as a key deliverable for the task order entitled "Understanding Development Methods from Other Industries to Improve the Design of Consumer Health IT" and is an outgrowth of the Building Bridges: Consumer Needs and the Design of Health IT workshop sponsored by AHRQ. The workshop was held at AHRQ's facilities on July 27--28, 2009.

THE IT / IS / SME HIERARCHY: CURRICULUM AND PRACTICE

The area known as Information Technology (IT) can be divided into three distinct but overlapping sub areas that form a hierarchy of expertise. Being aware of this hierarchy will assist in the design of curricula that will be well suited to the needs of students and the organizations that will employ them. Furthermore awareness of this hierarchy will assist in the development of IT applications that are effective, useful, and aligned with the mission of the organization. The purpose of this paper is to specify these sub areas and explain how they are delimited; to explain how they interact to form the broad concept of what we now call Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and finally specify curricula that would support this hierarchy.

Malaysia's Multimedia Super Corridor Cluster: communication linkages among stakeholders in a national system of innovation

As the wave of globalization washes over geographical boundaries, the world steps into the era of a new knowledge-based economy with governments striving to encourage innovation in industry especially through national systems of innovation. A national system of innovation (NSI) is considered important because how a nation utilizes and exploits its NSI will determine whether it can compete and ride the wave of globalization or be carried by it and thrashed onto the shores of the new economy. This paper seeks to highlight the linkages developed for enabling communication among the various NSI stakeholders for achieving goals in one such effort, viz. the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Cluster of Malaysia. The MSC offers a vision to create a global multimedia climate through an integrated environment of interlinked elements and attributes. The government of Malaysia, realising the significance of the NSI as a way to better utilize, exploit, and enhance systems, is making efforts to this effect. The efforts include bringing together various stakeholder organizations under the "Multimedia Flagship Applications" to develop flagship applications. This is for the development of information technology applications to pave the way toward a knowledge-based economy. The MSC Cluster is presented here as a physical manifestation of the NSI, and it gives an idea as to how policy makers can design linkages for communication among the various stakeholders to further national innovative performance and competitiveness in general.
