A study on the effectiveness of web applications for publishing translations of oriental literature

The article analyzes existing websites for publishing and reading translations of literary works, with an emphasis on identifying their main problems and shortcomings. Three types of such sites are described: universal, specialized, and oriental literature-oriented. Each type has its own peculiarities, but they all face similar problems, including a limited choice of content, difficulties in finding materials, and inconvenient user interface. The main problem with specialized websites created by a single team of translators (e.g., Silver Raven) is the limited number of available works, as well as the inconvenience and time-consuming search for the right job due to the need to visit the website of a new team of translators every time. The design is often mediocre and inconvenient for users due to a lack of experience in website development and limited resources. Some teams do not even have their own websites and work on third-party platforms, such as Telegram. As for universal sites such as Wattpad, the main problem is the lack of a specialized filter for translated works, which makes it difficult to find them. In addition, there are shortcomings in the design of the reading pages, where a lot of free space is not used and the text is difficult to read due to inappropriate size and formatting. Specialized sites for oriental literature, such as uAuthor and Baka, also have their problems. For example, uAuthor does not allow reading works directly on the site, which creates additional inconvenience for users. Baka, while providing such a possibility, has a complex filtering system and limited tools for adding and editing text. The article concludes that the existing platforms do not fully meet the needs of translators and readers of such a type of oriental literature as ranobe, which prompts the development of a new web application. The proposed solution is to develop our own web application specifically aimed at publishing and reading works. The main attention will be paid to the design of both the website and the text editor to ensure ease of use for translators and readers. Another solution is to create a web platform of several web services that are interconnected using the composite web service design and modeling method.

The Design and Implementation of Web Service for Laundry Service Payment at RAZ-Q Laundry Samarinda

The advancement of technology has facilitated access to information and various applications spanning desktop, web, and mobile platforms, becoming an integral part of everyday life. Among these platforms, websites are the most widely used. The web is widely used for business purposes. One of the common businesses is laundry services, which has become essential for individuals with busy schedules, such as workers and students. Busy daily activities make the need for clean clothes a top priority. However, the existence of many laundry service providers creates intense competition and difficulties for new consumers in finding the right service. This research examines a web services-based laundry service designed to help consumers find and book quality laundry services in their vicinity. It also provides process monitoring features and estimated time for clothes pickup. For laundry service owners, these web services offer opportunities to improve their business. This research uses the Waterfall method of software development, including the stages of analysis, design, coding, and testing. Use case diagrams were used to model the interaction between actors in the application, while class diagrams were used to describe the database structure. Activity and sequence diagrams were used to illustrate the flow of the application. The web interface is designed according to user needs. The result of this research is web services that can help consumers find and order laundry services easily and efficiently. Blackbox testing is conducted to ensure that all designed functions run properly. This application has the potential to help laundry service owners increase their income. Application development is done using Visual Studi Code with PHP Native programming language and MySQL as database management.

OWASP Framework-based Network Forensics to Analyze the SQLi Attacks on Web Servers

One of dangerous vulnerabilities that attack the web is SQLi. With this vulnerability, someone can obtain user data information, then change and delete that data. The solution to this attack problem is that the design website must improve security by paying attention to input validation and installing a firewall. This study's objective is to use network forensic tools to examine the designlink website's security against SQLi attacks, namely Whois, SSL Scan, Nmap, OWASP Zap, and SQL Map. OWASP is the framework that is employed; it is utilized for web security testing. According to the research findings, there are 14 vulnerabilities in the design website, with five medium level, seven low level, and two informational level. When using SQL commands with the SQL Map tool to get username and password information on its web server design. The OWASP framework may be used to verify the security of websites against SQLi attacks using network forensic tools, according to the study's findings. So that information about the vulnerabilities found on the website can be provided. The results of this study contribute to forensic network knowledge against SQLi attacks using the OWASP framework as well as for parties involved in website security.

Simulasi Kinerja Web Server Pada Jaringan LAN (Local Area Network) Kampus Menggunakan NS2 (Network Simulator 2)

Web server is a computer that connected to the network or internet which can give information such as text, audio and video. To reach efficiency of design and optimal reliable level, a big scale web server needs that measurement of network design performance. This final task discussed about modeling and simulation of web server design on Local Area Network University of Lampung to find out reachable optimal performance of web server. Research has been done by create modeling of client and server on software simulator. And simulation of web server model design on LAN network has been done by make implementation of simulation scenario. Modeling and simulation will give approximation on web server performance level on LAN network as the consideration of the making of principle realization of web server on LAN network. Based on the result of simulation, web server optimum design on LAN network is on the design with 100 nodes. The design gives average performance level of throughput almost reach the average maximum value of throughput with the minimum average of delay and jitter and the lowest percentage packet loss performance compared with the simulation which is used the other quantity of node.

IoT Network of Sensor Array for Intrusion Detection and Diagnosis of Electrical Systems

Modern buildings consist of various equipment, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and lighting. All equipment can be monitored and managed by the building management system. All of these components can be damaged due to prolonged use, misconfiguration, and network connection problems. Equipment breakdown affects maintenance costs and, in particular, energy efficiency. This study aims to develop a monitoring system of the current consumption of lighting (lamps) by light detection and current consumption of air conditioning (AC) by room temperature detection using Internet of Things (IoT) implementation. Hardware design consists of a power supply circuit, installing an ACS 712 current sensor, LDR sensor, the temperature sensor of DHT22, and thermal sensor of LM35. While the software design consists of a diagram flow for the current sensor, light sensor, temperature sensor reading program, program on the display board, and a web server design. The detection of current, lamplight, room temperature, and thermal cable is carried out to determine errors that occur in electrical equipment. Monitoring the consumption of lighting flows by detecting lamp light and air conditioning current consumption by detecting room temperature is done through the Firebase web server using a computer or smartphone. The results showed that the built system could monitor current consumption, detect lamplight, and detect room temperature in real-time. This system can be used to detect faulty electrical equipment and determine its position so that repairs can be carried out immediately. However, the type of damage has not been identified.

Industry (business) in the culinary field in Indonesia is a business that is experiencing very rapid growth. Improving the quality of service in a business will have implications for the maximum profit obtained. The right technology to connect various platforms is web services. Geprek Chicken Dinner management uses two different applications for its business processes. This of course hampers business processes and requires time and energy which causes business processes to be not optimal. Therefore, the purpose of research on the design and implementation of RESTful web services at Geprek Chicken Dinner. This research produces RESTful web services applications with access token and API key features as a security system with extreme programming development methods. the black box method involves auditors and IT experts getting successful conclusions from various types of tests. This application is expected to be able to serve as a base for all processed data and as a liaison between applications that will be used by management, so that the applications used are integrated with each other.

3D Multimedia Packaging Design Based on Agile Software Development and IoT Platform

This paper aims to present the three-dimensional (3D) packaging structure design based on the agile software development and internet of things (IoT) platform, which an efficiency validation of IoT platform is required. The objective of this research is to investigate the model development of 3D multimedia-based packaging structure using the webserver design and agile software development applied in the design and implementation process. This model development methodology comprises how the IoT platform as the client-server architecture that is used to develop and support the orthographic projection techniques, information sheet, worksheet and multimedia presentation in the modern product design. The empirical results show the creative thinking of the group of young designers that can be achieved efficiently. The proposed model development can increase significantly the fundamental knowledge and interactive design ideas of young designers combining from the two-dimension to three-dimension packaging structure model.

Qos Web Service Design Based on Collaborative Filtering

In the process of web service recommendation, the prediction accuracy of Web Service missing Quality of Service (QoS) value will have an important impact on the rationality of service recommendation. Therefore, combined with spatiotemporal similarity perception, this paper proposes a new web service QoS collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm. This paper designs the framework of web service recommendation system from the perspective of QoS collaborative prediction, and gives the definition of related parameter set. Aiming at the problem that some services in the traditional Top-k algorithm are not similar to the target services, the spatial-temporal similarity perception combined with similar weight is used to predict the missing data to improve the prediction accuracy. In this paper, the calculation process of the algorithm is given through a simple example. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by the experimental results.

The development of a trusted mechanism in building a web service to ensure the quality of data and information in the Universitas Jambi databorang application by using the ADDIE model

Developers or users of an application that utilizes various databases demand accurate data through a web service, and it is a challenge to provide a trusted web service. This study aims to develop a trusted mechanism in building the Universitas Jambi’s web service by applying the ADDIE model. Data from the web service will be queried by a Databorang Application. The trusted mechanisms produced in this study are: 1) Analysis of data and information requirements, 2) Web service design, 3) Development of web service which has procedures: query development, validation of queries by experts, validation of results from users through the Databorang application, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. In a restricted deployment it was revealed that the user strongly believes in the truth of the data / information displayed by the application of Databorang. In line with the increasing data retrieval functions on the webservice, it is hoped that the webservice can act as the data center of the University of Jambi in the future.

Pengembangan Web Service Sistem Informasi Boarding School

The boarding school information system is a system that provides information to support the operational, management, and decision making functions of an organization. Information sources within the information system that support day-to-day management operations such as transaction processing, status clarification, and so on. Boarding school information systems generally consist of a variety of systems, including welfare systems, management, premises, procedures and policies, and staffing. With a variety of systems in a boarding school information system, it is necessary to integrate between systems that aim to avoid data duplication in each system and increase system flexibility which can be achieved by utilizing web service technology. The purpose of this study is to design a web service on boarding school information systems that conform to 52 boarding school minimum standards set by the Welsh Assembly Government. The results of the development of an information system web service design is to map class diagrams that will be made on the web service design.

The results of the development of an information system web service design that is by mapping class diagrams that will be made in the design of school web services by adding modules to JIBAS with the Minister of National Education Regulation in accordance with 8 BSNP standards.

Web service design defects detection: A bi-level multi-objective approach

Abstract Context: Web services frequently evolve to integrate new features, update existing operations and fix errors to meet the new requirements of subscribers. While this evolution is critical, it may have a negative impact on the quality of services (QoS) such as reduced cohesion, increased coupling, poor response time and availability, etc. Thus, the design of services could become hard to maintain and extend in future releases. Recent studies addressed the problem of web service design antipatterns detection, also called design defects, by either manually defining detection rules, as combination of quality metrics, or generating them automatically from a set of defect examples. The manual definition of these rules is time-consuming and difficult due to the subjective nature of design issues, especially to find the right thresholds value. The efficiency of the generated rules, using automated approaches, will depend on the quality of the training set since examples of web services antipatterns are limited. Furthermore, the majority of existing studies for design defects detection for web services are limited to structural information (interface/code static metrics) and they ignore the use of quality of services (QoS) or performance metrics, such as response time and availability, for this detection process or understanding the impact of antipatterns on these QoS attributes. Objective: To address these challenges, we designed a bi-level multi-objective optimization approach to enable the generation of antipattern examples that can improve the efficiency of detection rules. Method: The upper-level generates a set of detection rules as a combination of quality metrics with their threshold values maximizing the coverage of defect examples extracted from several existing web services and artificial ones generated by a lower level. The lower level maximizes the number of generated artificial defects that cannot be detected by the rules of the upper level and minimizes the similarity to well-designed web service examples. The generated detection rules, by our approach, are based on a combination of dynamic QoS attributes and structural information of web service (static interface/code metrics). Results: The statistical analysis of our results, based on a data-set of 662 web services, confirms the efficiency of our approach in detecting web service antipatterns comparing to the current state of the art in terms of precision and recall. Conclusion: The multi-objective search formulation at both levels helped to diversify the generated artificial web service defects which produced better quality of detection rules. Furthermore, the combination of dynamic QoS attributes and structural information of web services improved the efficiency of the generated detection rules.

Web Service to Retrieve and Semantically Enrich Datasets for Theses From Open Educational Repositories

The paper describes the design and implementation of a semantic web service that retrieves theses and extends the keyword based-search of a DSpace repository taking into account the roles of advisors and steering committee members formally represented into a custom-made ontology. The service uses SPARQL queries and the serialization module of RDF DSpace, this links the item submission process and the ontology, thus the more theses are added into a repository, the more instances are inserted into the ontology. The paper provides empirical insights about how to reuse theses metadata and includes the results of an exploratory and self-management survey of usability heuristic evaluation of a web site that enables to access the proposed service. Heuristics were estimated with a purposive sample of students, teachers, and managers, the results indicated a high satisfaction level and showed that the service increased theses accessibility in the web environment. The service also generates semantically enriched datasets that coexist with the repository, they are of utility and value to educational organizations as they give institutional visibility.

Robust design of web services supporting the home administration of drug infusion in pediatric oncology

Cancer home care is a sector of particular relevance for the Italian health service. The budget ceilings imposed by public finance pose the need to reduce hospitalisation costs, moving patients from treatment to home care as much as possible. This is especially true in the field of pediatric oncology, where a protected family environment offers a variety of benefits to young patients and their families. However, in order to guarantee adequate assistance services, an integrated information system for management must be devised as the center of gravity of a coordinated network of, even heterogeneous, actors. This paper focuses on the identification and evolving development of web services for regulation and control of home administration of drug infusion in pediatric oncology. The Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) remains the software architecture of reference, where as the methodological approach is open to a reconsideration of the continuous improvement of the whole process in light of the ceaseless progress of medical science and information technology. In this paper, his goal is achieved by using a methodological design approach that combines the UML modeling based on Case Stories and the process optimization of Axiomatic Design. Case Stories allow the formalization of end users' requirements in UML language, easily interpreted by software developers. On the other hand, Axiomatic Design allows optimizing the design process by identifying the most robust solutions in terms of greater logical coherence and lesser systemic complexity. We analyze a case study focused on the design of web services supporting the home administration of drug infusion, for young cancer patients in home care. Then, we show how the UML-modeling methodology can be used to design new services on the basis of specific Use Cases. Finally, through theAxiomatic design approach we verify the proposed solutions, by identifying the robust set of web services to be implemented.

Assessing Quality by Anti-pattern Detection in Web Services

Design pattern plays an important role in development of a good quality software system. Service oriented architecture forms the basis for designing web services. Web services must be carefully designed taking into consideration the quality of service parameters like delay, throughput, reliability and cost. In order to maintain QOS design patterns should be analyzed to detect antipatterns, which can hinder the quality of software system. An antipattern is something, which initially appears like a good indication but creates negative results .The analysis can be done on the basis of several metrics. The paper takes into consideration the web service description files collected from various reliable sources and analyze the same based on static metric content. The static metrics used in this research paper are standard CKJM metrics. The future scope of the paper will focus on detection of antipattern based on dynamic metrics e.g. response time.

Making attributes from the Linked Open Data (LOD) cloud a part of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIS) for thematic mapping

The creation of the linked open data (LOD) cloud has enhanced the availability of interlinked open statistical data associated with geographic regions (attributes) through the Web. Spatial data infrastructures (SDIs) are widely used to share, discover, visualise and retrieve geospatial data. Geoportals are the visible parts of SDIs focused on interoperability through implementing standards such OGC web services for discovery and use of geographic data and services. In the current form OGC services cannot be directly connected to the LOD cloud. This research aimed at finding novel ways of visualising linked data in the form of thematic maps over the Internet. This paper provided answers to the question of how an OGC Web Map Service (WMS) can create thematic maps by combining attributes from the LOD cloud with geometry stored in a spatial database server (SDS). This research contributed to bridging the gap between linked data, SDI and web thematic maps and further showed how existing web mapping and OGC technologies can benefit from the Semantic Web. First, the design of a geospatial web service (representing the visible part of an SDI) that accesses attribute data from the LOD cloud referred to in this paper as SDI-LOD is presented. SDI-LOD produces web thematic maps by programmatically combining attributes from the LOD cloud with geometry in an SDS. Next, the author presented implementation results of SDI-LOD and concluded with a discussion of the implementation. Templet Web: the use of volunteer computing approach in PaaS-style cloud

Abstract This article presents the Templet Web cloud service. The service is designed for high-performance scientific computing automation. The use of high-performance technology is specifically required by new fields of computational science such as data mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and others. Cloud technologies provide a significant cost reduction for high-performance scientific applications. The main objectives to achieve this cost reduction in the Templet Web service design are: (a) the implementation of “on-demand” access; (b) source code deployment management; (c) high-performance computing programs development automation. The distinctive feature of the service is the approach mainly used in the field of volunteer computing, when a person who has access to a computer system delegates his access rights to the requesting user. We developed an access procedure, algorithms, and software for utilization of free computational resources of the academic cluster system in line with the methods of volunteer computing. The Templet Web service has been in operation for five years. It has been successfully used for conducting laboratory workshops and solving research problems, some of which are considered in this article. The article also provides an overview of research directions related to service development.

Nowadays, Web services constitute the core technology of IT infrastructure that has emerged in response to a fundamental shift in the way enterprises conduct their business. A componentised model emerges as the natural architecture for Web services-based applications. Using Mop-ECATNets formalism (Meta-Open Extended Concurrent Algebraic Term Nets) a sort of high-level Petri nets we show, in this paper, how we can ensure the formal specification of the dynamic Web services and control their interactions as well as their dynamic composition. Furthermore, in order to formally verify and execute Web services-based systems specifications, we implement Mop-ECATNet model in Maude system using an MDA (Model-Driven Architecture)-based approach.
