310: Production needs for clinical xenotransplantation

Development of source animal production facilities that are Designated Pathogen Free (DPF) is crucial in making xenotransplantation a clinical reality and meeting FDA guidelines for source animal production. As such, we developed a DPF swine colony using methods for producing gnotobiotic animals and evaluated the long-term feasibility of maintaining such a colony.
