Design of Key Process Parameters Test-Bench for 1250mm<sup>2</sup> Large Cross-Section Conductor Tension Stringing

This document proposed the test scheme of limit Test-bench structural system under the setting-out conditions of simulating critical state and completed the design and manufacture of the test system through conducting investigation on test methods and equipment of tension stringing construction process, combining the 1,250mm2 large cross-section conductor and construction technology requirements and based on functional positioning, optimization of combined design and force analysis of Test-bench, mechanics analysis of various parts and their connection as well as allowable stress method check. This system was closer to the actual stringing working conditions, and the obtained data were more reasonable and exact and meet the actual engineering demand. In addition, the reliability of this test system has been verified through the test of 1,250mm2 third-class large cross-section conductor.

Design of Multi-Functional Hydraulic Test Bench

In order to adapt to the development trend in current vocational education, we developed a multi-functional hydraulic test bench for mechatronics teaching practice. The component structure and functional features of the test bench was introduced in this paper and the application to vocational education was proved to be effective. Practice shows that the bench not only provides students with good experimental conditions close to the actual production and inspires learning enthusiasm and innovation consciousness of the students, but also provides teachers with a platform for scientific research, improves the utilization value of equipment.

The Control Design of the Chain Magazine Test Bench

The stable operation of the chain magazine which is important functional parts of the machining centers affects the processing efficiency directly, requiring test bench and related experiments in progress for the chain magazine performance parameters. We design the hardware and software and complete PLC chain magazine test bench based on the control and experimental testing requirements in the analysis of specific institutions and chain magazine movement principle. PLC is the core of the test bench which can achieve the operation of the magazine and the control automatic tool changer. The PLC program according to the experimental requirements can control tool magazine and automatic tool changer different motion process for related test. PC can achieve magazine movement simulation, monitoring the process of the tool changing, as well as recording and analysis of test data. The Anti-interference cabinet of the test bench ensure the stable operation of control system. The tests proved that PLC-based test bench able to meets the test requirements and complete the default action for a series of related tests with simple control, stable operation and scalability.

Design of Experimental Test Bench for Determining the Stresses and Strains State of Guitar Neck

Bending causes of neck guitar, with negative economic effects are: technology - deviations from flatness, straightness, produced during processes due to faulty adjustment of machine tools, structure / material – the wood used in guitar structure leads to deformations that exceed the terms of rigidity due to anisotropy, mechanical - occurrence rheological phenomena (wood relaxation after being subjected to stresses during machining), physical - wood moisture, humidity and ambient temperature. Bending of guitar neck occurs either after completion of manufacturing processes when the guitar is not used (case I), or after a storage period without it being stressed (case II) and after a period of use (case III). The paper presents the concept of experimental stand and a set of procedures for measuring deformations of guitar neck obtained during the bending stress in three points (Figure 1). The criteria in the design of test bench were: providing mechanical boundary conditions to simulate real conditions; ensuring mobility measuring apparatus and data recording so that it can be investigated all the structural elements of the guitar; ensure stability of the tabs and the whole stand in order to avoid measurement errors; ensure handling and maintenance of subassemblies by using ergonomic dimensions, optimum materials and interchangeable parts.

A New Test Bench Design Supporting Lifecycle Activities of Civil Aircraft Integrated Electrical Mechanical Control System

A simulation and test based approach intended to support whole lifecycle activities of IEMS development is proposed. A new test bench design philosophy including its hardware and software as well as its support for each IEMS development phase are described in detail. Finally, further considerations on bench application for IEMS certification are also proposed.

Design and Test Development of a Comprehensive Performance Test Bench for Electric Wheel

In order to research the driving performance of electric vehicle driven by the electric wheels and provide the test basis to the design of electric vehicle, the author of the paper designed and developed a multifunctional comprehensive performance test bench for electric wheel. Such test bench has the basic functions of road simulation, resistance simulation, vehicle weight simulation and inertia simulation, and the other functions of steering simulation, coupling simulation of electric braking and mechanical coupling, wheel hub motor performance test lamp. The author of the paper made certain design for the relevant test items, which has far-reaching significance for the test and research of the battery electric vehicle (BEV) driven by the wheel hub motor.

Design of Test Bench for Flyweel of the Shaft-Seal Nuclear Coolant Pump and ANSYS Analysis

The Hardware Design of Test-Bench for Motor Energy Efficiency Based on Torque-Meter Method

According to the demand of accuracy detection of the motor energy efficiency, the hardware of testing bench for motor based on torque-meter method was designed. A design emphasis on loading equipment and torque sensor was introduced in accordance with the requirements of torque meter method, realized the rapid response of the load, the low speed stability of the work and electrical energy reutilization. The proposed error modification method ensured the accuracy and reliability of test results.

Noise analysis of the turbojet and turbofan engine tests

Aerogine noise leads to environment pollution largely when aerogine is tested. In this paper, the power spectrum analysis method of the aeroengine test noise was discussed, and the noise measurement and analysis experiments of a turbojet engine and a turbofan engine tests were carried out. The noise level, main noise resource, and noise characteristics of the two turbojet and turbofan engines were analyzed. Meanwhile, the indoor noise and far-field noise of the turbojet engine were both measured, the noise spread characteristics were analyzed and the noise reduction performance of the test bench was evaluated. The noise generated by the turbojet engine test had the discrete characteristic of high frequency. The higher frequencies when peak values occurred were the blade passage frequencies and the noises with lower frequencies were the broad band noises, especially the jet noise, and the maximum of the peak values occurred at the basic frequencies or harmonic frequencies of the compressor. Meanwhile, the noises generated by the turbofan engine, focused on the high frequencies and the peak values corresponded to the rotation noise of the fan blades. The experimental results were consistent with the theory basically, which indicated that the aeroengine operating status information could be identified by the noise power spectrum analysis. In addition to the aeroengine noise reduction research, the noise power spectrum analysis could also be used to diagnose the fault of the aeroengine structure and performance. On the other hand, the indoor and far-field noise measurement experimental results implied that the noise was suppressed from 136 dB to 85 dB and could provide the reference to the noise reduction design of the aeroengine test bench.

Research on the Semi-Physical Simulation Technology of High Pressure Common Rail Electronic Control System for Low-Speed Marine Diesel Engine

In this paper, the semi-physical simulation technology is introduced with the design and implementation of a semi-physical simulation test bench. A certain low-speed marine diesel engine of high pressure common rail (HPCR) electronic control system is taken as the subject of the test bench. In order to retain the functional and structural features of the HPCR electronic control system, the essential components are in consistent with the target engine, and some auxiliary parts are simplified and reformed. Specially, a real-time simulation model is built based on the principles of Mean Value Engine Model and cylinder moving method, which captures the requirements of ECU, such as the crank angle, the exhaust valve stroke signal, the scavenging pressure and so on. Therefore a closed-loop control system is accomplished including a real-time controller deployed in the simulation model, ECU and the executing agency of HPCR system. Additionally a monitoring management system is developed for the test bench with the functions of acquiring signals, monitoring parameters, storing data, alarming and etc. Finally, some tests are finished in the test bench and through analyzing the experimental results, the test bench can perform the characteristics and functions of the HPCR electronic control system. The semi-physical simulation technology can be used for the functional verification and performance test of HPCR electronic control system for the low-speed marine diesel engine.

Design of Test Bench for Automotive Leaf Spring

For improving the conditions of single function, low testing precision, complex operation that exists in the tests of leaf spring testing machine, and on the basis of relevant provisions GBT19844-2005 leaf spring, a test bench for leaf spring with multifunction is designed. Through the structure analysis of leaf spring, a structure scheme of test bench named gantry type is put forward, combined with the testing requirements of the national standard and the spring stress characteristics, the hydraulic loading system and PID(Proportion Integration Differentiation) control system is proposed as well. By this test bench, experiments of the leaf spring for "permanent deformation, stiffness, fatigue" and other aspects related can be conducted, with shorter experimental cycle and higher experimental precision.

Opened Performance of Hydraulic Support Electro-Hydraulic Valve Test Bench Design

Electric hydraulic valve, as the key components, consist of electromagnetic pilot valve and mechanical valve bodies. When electromagnetic pilot valve hasnt enough driving force, precursor core wont work normally. The test stand can measure relationship between displacement and force of electromagnetic pilot valve. First of all, electric hydraulic valve is introduced simply, then detailed designing process. The test Bench includes measurement and control system, as well as working theory.

The Diamond Wire Saw Test Bench Design and Loading Analysis

The structure design of the underwater diamond wire saw test bench system was conducted for the research of the diamond wire saw cutting mechanism. Through the kinematic analysis of the test-bed parallel lever mechanism, parallel loading mechanism equation was derived, which provided a basis for the cutting force distribution of the loading bow.Software ANSYS was used for the modal analysis of the test bench mechanism. As the theoretical analysis and calculation result showed, the test bench design in this paper realizedthe validation of the diamond abrasive cutting principle, which can serve as guidance for theprocessing and manufacturing of the test bench.

Research and Design of Air Conditioning Air Flow Test Bench

Optimization Design and Simulation Research of Hydraulic Test Bench

For the limitations of the existing hydraulic test bench for experimenting with multi-species of hydraulic components, the additional cartridge valve circuit and multi-way directional valve circuit were designed. The AMESim simulation models of the hydraulic test benchs basic hydraulic circuits were established and simulated. Then the simulation results were compared with the experimental data to get some principles of simulation modeling and optimize the models. These principles were used to simulate the additional hydraulic circuits. Through analysis of the simulation results, theory supports were provided to the optimal design of hydraulic test bench. In this way, the existing hydraulic test bench can be fully used and the suitable components were selected, reducing the waste of resources. Besides, the simulation models can be used as part of the virtual hydraulic teaching.

Experimental Study on the Flow and Vibration Characteristics of Dual Spool Sleeve Valve

In this paper, hydraulic experimental research on dual spool sleeve valve has been made, and design of test bench, installation of the sensor, the experiment process and experimental results are introduced. The natural frequency of dual spool structure in the anhydrous state has been measured, static experiment on the flow characteristics of control valve has been performed, time-domain peak-to-peak analysis and spectral analysis on pressure pulsation dynamic data were conducted, and time-domain vibration displacement analysis and spectral analysis on tri-axial vibration data have been carried out. Miniature high-frequency dynamic sensor and its acquisition system was used to measure the control valve vibration parameters and the fluctuating pressure parameters of the interior critical points of the valve chamber, and finally data analysis.

Advanced Testbench Design using Reusable Verification Component and OVM

paper describes the additional proven techniques for creating highly effective testbenches. This paper presents topics that are likely to be used by most test-benches. Samples of the techniques, as well as the underlying concepts, are presented. The paper shows several ways to use VIP with OVM technology and provides the knowledge to customize, modify, and extend the techniques to suit the needs of SoC designers. The basic steps to create a first constrained random testbench with VIP and OVM is also presented. It can be a template to develop more complex and powerful test-benches using other computing methods and features of OVM and VIP.

The Design of Test Bench for Transmission Efficiency of Automobile Driveline

To solve the problem of lacking tools for efficiency testing in the process of automotive driveline optimization, a test bench was developed on the basis of adequate study on the properties of the structure of automobile driveline. Using the test technology to carry out efficiency research of automotive driveline, can not only verify the theoretical analysis, but also find an effective way to improve the efficiency of automotive driveline through the processing of testing data. In the past, most of the research for driveline efficiency is limited to the study of automotive transmission, and it is seldom acceptable to take the entire driveline as the research object to study. Assessment of Waste Heat Recovery From a Heavy-Duty Truck Engine by Means of an ORC Turbogenerator

This paper documents a feasibility study on a waste heat recovery system for heavy-duty truck engines based on an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) turbogenerator. The study addresses many of the challenges of a mobile automotive application: The system must be simple, efficient, relatively small, lightweight, and the working fluid must satisfy the many technical, environmental, and toxicological requirements typical of the automotive sector. The choice of a siloxane as the working fluid allows for the preliminary design of an efficient radial turbine, whose shaft can be lubricated by the working fluid itself. The system's heat exchangers, though more voluminous than desirable, are within acceptable limits. The simulated ORC system would add approximately 9.6 kW at the design point, corresponding to a truck engine power output of 150 kW at 1500 rpm. Future work will be devoted to further system and components optimization by means of simulations, to the study of dynamic operation and control, and will be followed by the design and construction of a laboratory test bench for mini-ORC systems and components.
