Design of Web-Based Attendance Application Information System at SDN Walantaka 3

Advances in information technology have resulted in significant transformations in various sectors, including in improving the efficiency and accuracy of data management in educational institutions. SDN Walantaka 3 still uses a manual attendance system, which often faces efficiency and accuracy problems in managing teacher attendance. This research aims to develop a web-based attendance application to overcome the limitations of the manual system and facilitate the management of attendance data. The method used in this research uses the waterfall software development model. The indicators used include the development process, system validation, application feasibility, and evaluation of its effectiveness. The developed system includes various features, including a login page, an intuitive dashboard, teacher master data, and an integrated attendance module. Testing of the application showed positive results, with the system successfully improving efficiency, accuracy, and minimising the potential for human error in recording attendance. The app also provides real-time access to attendance data, allowing the school to conduct better and more structured monitoring and reporting. Overall, the implementation of this application improves the effectiveness of attendance management at SDN Walantaka 3 and provides a sustainable solution for school administration needs.

Gender Harmony: A Case for Nursing Informatics.

The design of digital health information systems around a conflated gender/sex binary contributes to health inequities. Lack of specific information that supports affirming communication lead to inappropriate care, disrespectful encounters with healthcare staff, and avoidance of health services by clients who have been harmed by misgendering, deadnaming and being outed. The HL7 International Gender Harmony Model (HL7 GHM) supports the design, implementation and use of DHIS that enable affirming clinical interactions and care. This case study will demonstrate how applying the HL7 GHM can address the harms reported in a recently published account of one patient in Canada.

Enhancing Community Health Programs: Roles, Operations and Data-Driven Innovations

Aims: To examine how data-driven strategies can be integrated into community health programs as innovative approaches for effective operation. Problem Statement: Numerous government engagements in different crucial sectors have limited her concerns about health provision and distribution to many citizens living in remote communities. Health provision characterized with easy accessibility and low cost should not be marginalized and should be the right of every citizen. However, many lives have been lost due to lack of this in some communities. Significance of Study: To curb this, non-profit sectors are now engaging in community health programs to ameliorate the difficulties faced by distanced citizens living in remote localities. With the advent of this program, it is imperative to incorporate data-driven strategies as innovative approaches to improve and enhance the current state of operations in community health programs. Discussion: A medical practice that addresses the well-being of people within a particular geographical location is referred to as community health. This technical review paper discusses the concepts, roles and mode of operations of community health workers and the programs that are embedded. The attributes of a robust well-functioning health system as stated by World Health Organisation (WHO) were discussed alongside program components that are often executed by village workers. Value-based care, patient-centered care and P4 medicine were identified as the major ideologies behind data-driven strategies and the characteristic features of each were adequately discussed. Conclusion: A data-driven healthcare innovative approach must put into consideration the real definition of data management policies, organize training for health care workers who are handling health data and also support the implementation in order to secure the designed information systems.

An Effective Teaching Pedagogy Involving an Online Learning Platform under a Multi-Campus Teaching Model

AbstractNowadays, many universities around the globe have offered distance learning to their students in addition to the traditional face-to-face learning mode. Furthermore, a number of universities have multiple campuses, thereby requiring these universities to adopt a multi-campus learning model. This setting creates numerous teaching and learning challenges. This paper aims to: (a) explore what major teaching and learning challenges are faced by Central Queensland University (CQU) due to its multiple campuses and a diverse student cohort involving both on-campus and off-campus students, and (b) discuss our teaching pedagogy (including the use of an online learning platform) for an information systems analysis and design (ISAD) unit at CQU with a view to alleviating these teaching/learning challenges. We analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively the effectiveness of our teaching pedagogy in addressing the teaching/learning challenges. We performed a two-sample t-test involving a total of 216 ISAD students and found that, by adopting our teaching pedagogy, there was no significant difference in academic performance between urban (mostly on-campus) and regional (mostly off-campus) students. Also, our teaching pedagogy reduced the dropout percentages of both urban and regional students, particularly the regional students.

Designing for financial inclusion in developing countries: Digital financial service for low-income women in Ghana

Digital financial inclusion initiatives in developing countries have gained salience because of their potential to improve the socioeconomic condition of marginalized groups such as low-income women. However, persistent challenges remain in overcoming the digital divide in developing countries and enhancing access and participation of women in digital financial services. Despite the growing scholarly attention, little is known about how digital technologies might be designed to enable financial inclusion of women in developing countries. Using the technology affordances approach, we extend previous theorizing on inclusive information system, and introduce a relational approach to designing for inclusion. Specifically, we conduct a case study of a digital finance initiative in Ghana involving the design of an interactive voice response system (IVR) for low-income women where systemic barriers to technology adoption and use are pervasive. We show the significance of user feedback, environmental factors, and affordances for more inclusive information system design. We contribute a theoretically grounded framework that takes holistic account of the sociotechnical context of IS design for inclusion.

Career and educational trajectory of Bachelors of Applied Informatics at a regional university: aspects of design and implementation

This article analyzes a complex set of personnel training problems for the digital economy. The authors note that the mechanical increase in budget places in the system of higher and secondary vocational education is not enough to provide the IT segment of the labor market in Russia, which is related both to the quality of training of specialists and to the career expectations of graduates. The author’s definition of the student’s career and educational trajectory is given. As one of the possible solutions, an integrative-micromodular approach is proposed, the key element of which is the cooperation of the student, the university and potential employers in designing and implementing an effective career and educational trajectory for each student. The authors note significant differences in the goals, resources and strategies of federal, national and regional universities, while focusing on the latter. Using the example of bachelor’s degree training in the field of Applied Informatics 09.03.03, the issues of work and part-time work of students during the study period, the influence of this factor on the career and educational trajectory are analyzed in depth. Examples of the implementation of micromodules «career stage» in the disciplines of «Programming», «Databases», «Information Systems Design», «Software Engineering», «Data Analysis», «Cloud services», «Web programming» are considered. The strategy of using psychosemantics methods for recognizing and clarifying the image of a future profession, professional self-reflection and, possibly, professional trials is described.

Architectural design of national evidence based medicine information system based on electronic health record.

The global implementation of Electronic Health Records has significantly enhanced the quality of medical care and the overall delivery of public health services. The incorporation of Evidence-Based Medicine offers numerous benefits and enhances the efficacy of decision-making in areas such as prevention, prognosis, diagnosis, and therapeutic approaches. The objective of this paper is to propose an architectural design of an Evidence-Based Medicine information system based on the Electronic Health Record, taking into account the existing and future level of interoperability of health information systems in Greece. A study of the suggested evidence-based medicine architectures found in the existing literature was conducted. Moreover, the interoperability architecture of health information systems in Greece was analyzed. The architecture design reviewed by specialized personnel and their recommendations were incorporated into the final design of the proposed architecture. The proposed integrated architecture of an Evidence-Based Medicine system based on the Electronic Health Record integrates and utilizes citizens' health data while leveraging the existing knowledge available in the literature. Taking into consideration the recently established National Interoperability Framework, which aligns with the European Interoperability Framework, the proposed realistic architectural approach contributes to improving the quality of healthcare provided through the ability to make safe, timely and accurate decisions by physicians.

Introduction: Management information systems (SIMs) can provide data and information that can help facilitate prescription screening such as administrative, pharmaceutical, and clinical data. Data and information from the hospital management information system (SIMRS) are also to make it easier to screen prescriptions and prevent medication errors. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the need for a screening management information system at dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Gorontalo and developed. As well as seeing the level of user satisfaction after the development of a prescription screening management information system Methods: The research conducted is quantitative descriptive. The data collection of system needs analysis was carried out by looking directly at the system at dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Gorontalo Hospital. As well as evaluating the system using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method by distributing questionnaires to pharmaceutical officers. After obtaining an analysis of the system needs, the design of the prescription screening management system was made using context diagrams, data flow diagrams (DFD), and entity relationship data (ERD). Data analysis to see the increase in satisfaction using the wilcoxon signed rank test. Results: The results of the observation of the completeness of prescription screening in the system at dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Gorontalo Hospital show that administrative, pharmaceutical and clinical screening has not been fully completed. Meanwhile, the pretest results of the evaluation of the system that has been implemented in the hospital show that the frequency of respondents' answers in the dissatisfaction scale category in variable content is 97.2% and accuracy is 55.6%. However, after system development and re-evaluation as a result of the posttest, the results were obtained that the suitability of administrative, pharmaceutical and clinical screening on the satisfactory scale in variable content was 58.3%, format 51.9%, ease of use 66.7%, timeliness 55.8%, and very satisfied scale at variable accuracy 55.6%. Analysis of pretest and posttest data using the Wilcoxon test showed a significant value (p) of 0.007. Conclusion: The results of the evaluation and design of the prescription screening management information system have met the criteria and received increased satisfaction from system users. So that the system is ready to be implemented at dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Gorontalo Hospital.

The aim of this research is to design a trade goods inventory information system for MSMEs. Information technology that has experienced rapid growth allows companies to use information technology to run company operations. This is used by many companies to avoid several omissions in terms of accounting records if done manually. Accounting record negligence that often occurs is in inventory. UMKM "Deepa" Electronic as an MSME that sells household electronic goods has used several inventory accounting recording applications that have been sold freely in the market but there are several needs that cannot be met by the financial recording application, so it returns to using Microsoft Excel for inventory inventory activities. However, Microsoft Excel does not have a database management system so that the data that has been inputted cannot generate reports automatically. This makes inventory activities less efficient. The solution to this problem is to design a website-based inventory information system using the Prototype method. The results of this study are the design of inventory information systems in MSMEs to make inventory more effective and efficient.

Evaluasi Pemanfaatan Data Rekam Medis untuk Sistem Informasi Pemasaran di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Temanggung

Electronic medical records become one big data source. Well-managed data can provide information needed in marketing management, especially for private hospitals. PKU Muhammadiyah Temanggung Hospital has implemented electronic medical records starting with the use of billing system in 2014. The data managed includes patient demographics. It is necessary to evaluate the use of these data in terms of man, materials, machine, method, money and markets. The study was descriptive qualitative. The data collection process is carried out by conducting interviews and observations. The marketing information system design process carried out with the IT team. The team uses the waterfall method where system designers complete their concepts by going through a library review process and taking inspiration from various CRM (Customer Relationship Management) models. The results showed that electronic data of medical records has been used as material for marketing information systems. The readiness of man and money makes it easy to build a menu bar of the marketing information system on the dashboard of the management information system. The system is still possible to be developed in terms of materials and machines. The method of data utilization is transforming from manual to digital gradually. This is influenced by the readiness of the next prospective data users to become part of the marketing information system developer by utilizing electronic medical record data. The rapid development of information technology has driven transformation in various aspects of human life, including the business world. Mediatama Cell, a store that operates in the sale of cellphones, vouchers, and accessories, faces challenges in managing sales transactions and inventory manually. The manual process of recording transactions and managing inventory often leads to problems such as data inaccuracies, recording errors, and difficulties in monitoring stock in real-time. This research aims to design a web-based information system that can help simplify the process of recording sales transaction data and managing inventory at Mediatama Cell. The system is designed to increase the store's operational efficiency, reduce errors in transaction recording, and facilitate easier stock monitoring. The methodology used in this research includes data analysis, requirements gathering, and system design. The result of this research is an integrated information system design that can help Mediatama Cell automatically record transactions and manage inventory more efficiently. With this system design, it is expected that Mediatama Cell can improve operational performance and provide better service to customers.

Implementation of the GBI Bethany Tower of Christ Congregation Management Information System Design

Along with the development of the digital era and pandemic conditions have increased the need for systems capable of working remotely. This motivated the researchers to conduct observations at the Bethany Tower of Christ Church. Based on observations and interviews that have been conducted with church pastors and deacons, it is found that the system already owned by the church has a lack of features, one of which is the feature of submitting requests to the church. In addition, there is also a need to update features related to adding devotionals, news, and posts to make it more practical and efficient. The development of this system uses the Waterfall method in which in the process the researcher first conducts direct observation and research at the Bethany Tower of Christ Church followed by analyzing the needs of the church and congregation which results in the design of a congregation management system. As for after the design is done, the system implementation is carried out. After that, researchers conducted testing of system maintenance. Based on the overall results obtained from the survey of respondents' assessment of the website, an average assessment of 87.3% was obtained, indicating that the website is feasible and has impressive respondent satisfaction. Researchers still find shortcomings in the system created, namely the lack of some features and the presence of bugs that need to be fixed. However, researchers still hope that the designed system can be useful for congregations and churches and can continue to be developed and maintained so that the system can be better.

Advances in technology have now spread to all aspects of life and profession. When archiving, it is appropriate to use a computerized system to make archiving and processing letters easier. However, there are still few who take advantage of current technological advances. One of them is the TEXMACO PURWASARI Vocational High School which still archives letters in paper form (hard copy). Manual archiving has weaknesses that pose many risks. By designing the UI/UX of an archival information system, it is hoped that it can solve existing problems. In designing the UI/UX, the user center design (UCD) method is applied, which is a method for analyzing the UI/UX design of an electronic archival information system. seen from the system user's side, so that the system design is designed according to the user's needs, the result of this research is an archival information system design plan which is equipped with a database plan that is tailored to the user's needs, then testing the system design that has been created using the system method usability scale (SUS).

Implementation of Web-Based School Library Information System Design with RAD Method Approach

<p>In the current era, several school libraries have implemented the design of web-based school library information systems using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach. The primary objective of this method is to enhance efficiency and accessibility in managing an organization/institution. This research aims to ascertain the advantages of the RAD method in the development of school library information systems. The research methodology employs a literature review by gathering relevant literature materials about the topic. The RAD method was chosen because it allows for rapid and iterative development, aligning with the dynamics of changing user needs and technology. The system is designed to support collection management, borrowing, and book searching effectively. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of the RAD Method in designing library information systems yields several positive impacts on the development of school library websites, namely, firstly, providing quick responses to user needs; secondly, improving previous systems; and finally, achieving relatively faster development compared to traditional software development methods.</p>

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF DOCTOR COMPETENCY CERTIFICATES: A CASE STUDY OF THE INDONESIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION IN CIANJUR REGENCY

Re-certification can be obtained through the P2KB program, which aims to enhance the professionalism of each practicing doctor by meeting the minimum credit points or Professional Credit Units. The accumulation of SKP for medical professionals is essentially divided into several domains: professional, service, and learning. Currently, the reporting or submission of SKP within the IDI organization is done manually. Therefore, an integrated database system is needed to manage the submission of Continuous Professional Education Development activities for SKP credit points. In the design and development of the Doctor Competency Certificate Submission Information System at the IDI Cianjur Organization, the authors used the waterfall model as the methodological paradigm and UML to visualize and design the software to be developed. The system analysis and design included use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams. The authors built the database using MYSQL within the phpMyAdmin software, which functions as SQL and is used in conjunction with the PHP programming language. Sublime Text was used as the editor to create the system’s source code. The developed system aims to facilitate the submission of P2KB activities and to make it easier for P2KB activity managers to coordinate and manage submission data centrally.
