Optimized on Demand Routing Protocol of Mobile Ad Hoc Network

In this paper optimization of DSR is achieved using New Link Cache structure and Source Transparent Route Maintenance Method. The new link cache effectively utilizes the memory by caching the routes in adjacent list type of data structures. It selects the shortest hop and least congested path, which in turn reduce the control packets, route request packets, route reply packets and increase the data packets forwarded by the nodes. To solve the DSR route maintenance problem during high mobility, source transparent route maintenance method is introduced in this paper. This method has two schemes namely cache validation and local route repair. These schemes reduce the packet loss, end-to-end delay and increase the throughput.

MANET에서 응용 서비스 데이터 유형에 따른 요구기반 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능비교

Recenty, there has been great interest in MANET from various areas. In this paper we focus on performance analysis of on demand routing protocols surf as DSR, AODV, and TORA in MANET. We have conducted several simulations concerned with application service data such as sensor, text. voice, and video data. And then, we have evaluated the performance of three protocols in a pre-designed ad hoc network, which is consisted of 20 nodes. As a result, we have obtained quantitative data for packet delivery fraction, average end to-end delay, routing load, channel utilization from upper layer and supportable routing protocol for application service data. The results can be used for designing specific-purposed ad-hoc networks.

Ad Hoc 네트워크의 경로손실 회피기반 RPAODV 라우팅

Ad Hoc 네트워크에서는 노드들의 라우팅기능을 이용하여 목적지 노드까지 패킷을 전송한다. 노드이용 등으로 다음 홉 노드에 대한 링크를 손실하면 계속적인 패킷 전송을 위해서 새경로 탐색이 요구된다. 요구 기반 라우팅 프로토콜 AODV는 노드 이동으로 인한 경로 손실시에 다음 홉 노드의 링크 손실을 이식한 노드가 경로 유지를 위해 지역 탐색을 수행하거나 발신지 노드가 새경로 탐색을 수행하여 경로를 유지한다. 이 경우 새경로 탐색이나 지역 경로 탐색은 패킷의 지연을 가져오고, QoS에 나쁜 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 다음 홉 노드에 대한 링크손실을 예측한 노드가 자신의 이웃 노드 중 적절한 다른 노드를 다음 홉 노드로 선택하여 경로 손실을 예방하고 QoS를 높이는 RPAODV 기법을 제안한다. Ad Node transmits packets to a destination node using routing function of intermediate nodes on the path in Ad Hoc networks. When the link to a next hop node in a path is broken due to the next hop node's mobility, a new route search process is required for continuing packets transmission. The node which recognizes link fault starts a local route recovery or the source node starts a new route search in the on demand routing protocol AODV. In this case, the new route search or the local route search brings packet delays and bad QoSs by packet delay. We propose RPAODV that the node predicts a link fault selects a possible node in neighbor nodes as a new next hop node for the path. The proposed protocol can avoid path faults and improve QoS.
