Research on Real-Time Monitoring and Performance Optimization of Suspension System in Maglev Train

With the success of the commercial operation of the maglev train, the demand for real-time monitoring and high-performance control of the maglev train suspension system is also increasing. Therefore, a framework for performance monitoring and performance optimization of the maglev train suspension system is proposed in this article. This framework consists of four parts: plant, feedback controller, residual generator, and dynamic compensator. Firstly, after the system model is established, the nominal controller is designed to ensure the stability of the system. Secondly, the observer-based residual generator is identified offline based on the input and output data without knowing the accurate model of the system, which avoids the interference of the unmodeled part. Thirdly, the control performance is monitored and evaluated in real time by analyzing the residual and executing the judgment logic. Fourthly, when the control performance of the system is degraded or not satisfactory, the dynamic compensator based on the residual is updated online iteratively to optimize the control performance. Finally, the proposed framework and theory are verified on the single suspension experimental platform and the results show the effectiveness.

Progress in the application of tumor DNA in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal cancer

With the development of precision medicine in the field of tumor, thanks to the latest screening technology, the demand for real-time monitoring of tumor is increasingly high. Traditional tissue biopsy is not suitable for repeated due to clinical problems such as puncture clinical risk and tumor heterogeneity. Ultrasound, endoscopy and other imaging examinations are highly subjective, and it is difficult to detect small lesions, and increasingly unable to meet the requirements of real-time monitoring. However, circulating tumor DNA, with its advantages of simple sample acquisition, small trauma, repeatability and real-time monitoring efficacy, has an important application prospect in tumor diagnosis and treatment. Based on the latest reports at home and abroad, this paper reviews the research progress of circulating tumor DNA in the early diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of esophageal cancer. Design and implementation of running state monitoring system based on WSN

This paper designs and implements a monitoring system for the running state of the minerals development equipment based on wireless sensor network, which can solve many problems. For example, minerals development equipment of Qinghai is fault-prone, and it is difficult to monitor wiring, and it cannot meet the demand of real-time monitoring for the manual inspection. The system sensor nodes collect working current and voltage of the equipment, and achieve connection between WSN short-distance wireless communication and remote Internet via gateway. Users can monitor and manage on the running state of the equipment in real time through the monitoring center ultimately. Field-based installation and testing of system suggests that the average packet loss rate of the network is 0.19%. The transmission of the sensor data is reliability and stability within 30 meters of communication range and larger than 1 dB of nodes power, which can meet the demand of monitoring the operation state of equipment.

Study of a Measurement and Control System of Industrial Site

According to the industrial site of precision measurement and control systems, the demand for real-time monitoring and multi-task, the paper studied and designed an industrial site monitoring and control system based on Labview; overall structure of software and hardware, the system was designed system, the system platform-level and user-level using a two-stage multi-task scheduling strategy to achieve the industrial field parallel scheduling and control system to improve the operating efficiency of monitoring and control systems; practice shows that the system has high accuracy, strong and stable real-time, etc., to meet the monitoring needs of the industrial field, with a good prospect.

Information Monitoring and Management System for Tailings Based on LabVIEW

Aiming to meet the demand for real-time monitoring and adjustment in modern tailings management process, and solving the problems the development of technological innovations bring about ,this paper comes up with the establishment of this system for tailings based on LabVIEW. Utilizing the LabVIEW software platform, the ACCESS database and SQL language development technology, the paper is able to design various functional modules to optimize monitoring accuracy, data processing efficiency, and costs. The system can play a pivotal role in acquiring real-time change of the indicators, updating and sharing of the relevant data, which can finally assure the operation of tailings.

Transmission Line Condition Monitoring Based on Internet of Things in Smart Grid

In order to meet the demand for real-time monitoring of transmission line state in the construction of the smart grid, this paper adopt the transmission line condition monitoring system that is based on the Internet of Things technology, PON technology and the fuzzy expert diagnostic technology; with a large number of experiments and field pilots, we get ideal results. It can get real-time the state of the transmission line and make accurate judgments, which verify the accuracy and implementability of the system; This system has many advantages, such as comprehensive collection of information, stable network, high output accuracy, simple to deploy, and so on.

Multi-Parametric Clustering for Sensor Node Coordination in Cognitive Wireless Sensor Networks

The deployment of wireless sensor networks for healthcare applications have been motivated and driven by the increasing demand for real-time monitoring of patients in hospital and large disaster response environments. A major challenge in developing such sensor networks is the need for coordinating a large number of randomly deployed sensor nodes. In this study, we propose a multi-parametric clustering scheme designed to aid in the coordination of sensor nodes within cognitive wireless sensor networks. In the proposed scheme, sensor nodes are clustered together based on similar network behaviour across multiple network parameters, such as channel availability, interference characteristics, and topological characteristics, followed by mechanisms for forming, joining and switching clusters. Extensive performance evaluation is conducted to study the impact on important factors such as clustering overhead, cluster joining estimation error, interference probability, as well as probability of reclustering. Results show that the proposed clustering scheme can be an excellent candidate for use in large scale cognitive wireless sensor network deployments with high dynamics.

Removal Efficiency and Integrity Monitoring Techniques for Virus Removal by Membrane Processes

Membranes are a mechanical form of disinfection that works by physical separation of the target pathogen. In theory, an intact membrane is a barrier to pathogens that are larger in size than the pore size of the membrane. However, in practice the pore size distribution or molecular weight cutoff will provide an indication of the separation efficiency and in many cases complete rejection of the virus is not demonstrated by various membrane processes. The general mechanism of pathogen removal by membrane processes is predominantly achieved by size exclusion, influenced by the physicochemical properties of the membrane, surface properties of the pathogens, and the solution environment. However, in order to evaluate the intrinsic performance of the membranes for a specific objective, a standard protocol with defined set of operating conditions is required. Any anomaly with the membrane surface (e.g., abnormally big pores, compromised glue line, holes) and the filtration system (e.g., compromised O-rings, broken mechanical seals) will result in microbial contamination risk of the product water. Therefore, monitoring membrane treatment system integrity is essential for the protection of public health from microbial risk. The demand for real-time monitoring is increasing as the usage of membrane-processed water is on the rise. Monitoring membrane integrity can be achieved by regular noncontinuous direct integrity testing performed on the membrane itself, or continuous indirect tests carried out on the filtrate. These monitoring techniques provide ongoing assurance that the water quality objectives are continually met. Existing integrity monitoring techniques have been shown in various instances to be reliable and sensitive for detecting contaminants of 1.0 μm and larger, while enteric virus particles are in the size range 0.01–0.04 μm. Some of the indirect monitoring techniques are capable of detecting a membrane breach less than 1 μm, but the practical challenge resolution is typically around 1–2-log. Similarly, the process control monitoring parameters lack sensitivity and therefore virus breakthrough occurs even before a loss of integrity is detected. At present it is difficult to demonstrate virus removal without conducting challenge tests due to a lack of sufficiently sensitive process monitoring. On the other hand, regulators are under increasing pressure to grant log removal credits for enteric viruses to membrane treatment processes due to the inability of present integrity tests to verify ongoing removal of virus-sized particles. Therefore, finding reliable and sensitive integrity tests for viruses is a high-priority issue in the water treatment sector. The authors aim to review the present state of knowledge on the process efficiencies of virus removal by membrane processes and the associated membrane integrity monitoring practices for virus-sized particles. Some of the knowledge gaps and research needs associated with the existing guidelines and standing protocols for integrity monitoring are also identified.

Use of real-time data in environmental monitoring: current practices

Water quality monitoring in Europe, especially in transboundary water courses has made steady progress during the last decades through establishment of international commissions. The main activities of these commissions include protection and management of the catchment, sustainable use of the river and establishment of Accident Emergency Warning Systems (AEWS). The latter could be effectively accomplished only through real-time monitoring. Concurrently real-time data have been found important for the monitoring of potable water intake points, wastewater treatment plants, estuaries and in aquaculture. With the recognition of the diversified demand, there are a number of questions to be answered such as: (1) are we satisfied with the existing monitoring systems? (2) is standardisation of the measuring instruments a necessity? (3) do we have foolproof systems for data capture and transmission? (4) are there adequate procedures to analyse vast amount of data generated? We have to answer these questions urgently as the demand for real-time monitoring has been drastically increased.
