Organizational learning and innovation: A bibliometric analysis and future research agenda

Organizational learning and innovation research have received increasing attention from researchers in recent years. However, there is a need to understand the research development of this topic and its trends. Therefore, this study aims to provide a comprehensive view of this field by conducting a bibliometric analysis of 773 research articles published over the past 41 years. The study identifies the journals, researchers, countries, institutions, and references in terms of productivity, citations, co-citations, common keywords, and their developments over three periods using the VOS viewer software. The results show a strong connection between organizational learning and organizational innovation. The number of publications related to organizational learning and innovation has continuously increased. The United States of America (USA) ranked first, contributing 21.86 % of the total publications. Additionally, the "Universidad de Granada" has been ranked first in overall publication output (16 publications, 2.07 %). The focus of researchers in this field has expanded to include different and new topics such as innovation performance and ambidexterity. The results of this paper may help academics and practitioners better understand research development trends and hotspots in the field of organizational learning and innovation and provide a comprehensive view of future research.

Synchronizing Environmental Education Research Trends: Promoting Sustainable Practices and Enhancing Scientific Knowledge

This research explores the diversity of topics related to environmental education issues and students’ environmental concerns regarding their behavior. The bibliometric method is a quantitative approach used to measure and investigate specific indicators within the literature published in a particular field. This method involves creating knowledge maps using extensive databases to identify patterns and trends. Using the keyword “environmental education” on Scopus from 2018 to 2023, 365 relevant documents were found. In the PRISMA flow diagram, the process started with 7550 traced documents, narrowing down to 2536 relevant documents through screening. From these, 776 related documents were chosen, and 573 relevant documents were recognized after the inclusion stage. Throughout, a total of 365 publications were included in the study. VOS viewer software was used to analyze data and generate bibliographic maps and networks. In the last five years, research on environmental education has experienced exciting fluctuations. Key sources like Sustainability Switzerland and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health have played a significant role. Research by Bogner, F.X. stands out, reflecting high interest in environmental issues and education within the scientific community. Universities such as Universidad de Granada and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia contribute significantly. The United States leads in publications. Environmental education research remains crucial for sustainable practices and environmental literacy despite fluctuations. This data provides essential guidance for future research planning. This research not only underscores the increasing research emphasis on the educational ramifications of pandemics but also identifies specific areas that warrant more extensive exploration.

High Resolution 3D Model of Heritage Landscapes Using UAS LiDAR: The Tajos de Alhama de Granada, Spain

The Tajos de Alhama de Granada, which since ancient times have inspired and surprised locals and strangers, especially foreign travelers, constituted a unique landscape, cultural and ethnological heritage of Spain, linked to water and its old flour mills. And, they are currently at serious risk of degradation. The aim of this research is to obtain a high-resolution 3D model capable of documenting this historical heritage environment with a high level of detail, using a methodology that includes small light weight LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) system for UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System). The model obtained should serve, on the one hand, as a valuable tool for knowledge and analysis of all the elements (river, lake, ditches, dams, mills, aqueducts, and paths) that made up this place, registered as a picturesque landscape for its extraordinary beauty and uniqueness, and on the other hand, as a basis for the development of rehabilitation and architectural restoration projects that would have to be undertaken to preserve this cultural and landscape legacy.

CSR communication & stigmatized industries: is inclusion and diversity becoming a means for stigma-washing? Six decades of literature review

This work aims to present an in depth literature review under the lens of three disciplines: Corporate Social Responsibility (from now on CSR) communications, stigmatized industries, and diversity and inclusion (D&I). Such review is supported by a bibliometric mapping software, SciMAT, developed by Cobo and colleagues (2011), at Universidad de Granada, Spain. A total of 8,942 papers on the three topics from 1963 to 2022 published in 98 leading journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports of the Web of Science have been examined. The aforementioned software has been used to identify the relevant studies to focus on a second in-depth qualitative individual scrutiny. Findings suggest that the use of D&I to mitigate organizational stigma has yet to be analyzed. One still needs to confirm or reject the proposition that stigmatized firms use CSR communication and D&I to mitigate their stigma. Furthermore, they indicate that if future studies may find that stigmatized companies utilize D&I to manage their stigma via CSR communication, the D&I discipline would suffer from this practice, since one would prove that D&I is instrumentally used in a different way than it is supposed to.

Bibliometric Study of Papers Published During 2007 to 2021

The study examines the change in pattern of impact factor and SCImago Journal Ranking (SJR) of the journal under study from 2008 to 2021 besides examining the pattern of growth of the number of papers. The study identified the most prolific actors (authors, institutions, and countries), besides examining their citation impact in terms of citation per paper & relative citation impact. The pattern of citation and highly cited papers have also been identified. Based on the analysis of data it is observed that the number of articles published was highest and almost equal in the years 2013, 2016, and 2017. Using the methodology of the complete count of records, it is observed that 56 countries contributed 2,939 articles. China followed by the USA published the highest number of papers. The value of CPP was highest for Universidad de Granada (Spain) and Leiden University (the Netherlands). Among the authors, Nees Jan van Eck and Ludo Waltman of the Leiden University had the highest CPP. Only a minuscule number of published articles remained uncited. Article authored by Aria, M. and Cuccurullo, C. published in issue 11(4), 2017, 959-975 of the journal received the highest number of citations. The pattern of authorship indicates that during the first ten years, more papers were single and two-authored while during 2017-2021 more number of papers were multi-authored.

Nominatissima urbs Granate: The Cultural Clash between Islam and Christianity after the Capitulation of the Nasrid Kingdom and Its Repercussions on the Arts

This essay offers a general overview of some of the main artistic, liturgical and musical works inspired by the Capitulation of Granada in favor of the Catholic Monarchs and related to the patronage of Cardinal Pedro González de Mendoza, Cardinal Bernardino López de Carvajal, Archbishop Fray Hernando de Talavera and his circle. Particular attention is paid to the composition of the well-known Oficios de la Toma de Granada (Offices of the Capitulation of Granada). Granada is conceived therein as a New Jerusalem, the center of a mono-religious but multicultural providentialist discourse identified with the Crown of Castile. Such convergent discourses in music, liturgy and the arts, both at the peninsular and European levels, helped turn the nominatissima urbs Granate after the fall of the Nasrid Kingdom in 1492 into an enduring symbol of Hispanic culture.

Relationship between Kinesiophobia, Foot Pain and Foot Function, and Disease Activity in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Cross-Sectional Study.

The main objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between kinesiophobia and pain (general and foot pain), foot function, and disease activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A total of 124 interviews were carried out with participants with RA. Participants were recruited from the Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves de Granada in Spain. Interviews took place in January 2021. Participants completed the following questionnaires during an appointment with their rheumatologist: Foot Function Index (FFI), Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia (TSK-11), and the Visual Analogue Scale Pain foot (VAS Pain). Furthermore, the Simplified Disease Activity Index (SDAI) was used to measure disease activity. Of the 124 participants, 73% were women, and their mean age was 59.44 years (SD 11.26 years). In the statistical analysis, positive linear correlations (p < 0.001) were obtained between the variables TSK-11 and VAS (related to general pain or foot pain) and FFI (in its three subscales). Additionally, a negative correlation between the TSK-11 and the educational background was shown. This study provided information about the relationship between foot function and pain with different levels of kinesiophobia in patients with RA. Additionally, the educational background of the patient was considered a predictor of whether or not a patient suffered from kinesiophobia.

A A Bibliometric Review of Basketball Game: Publication Trends Over the Past Five Decades

This study aims to examine the evolution of basketball-related scientific publications in the Scopus database by using a variety of bibliometric indicators, such as publication trends, the most influential countries, the most productive authors, and author keywords. From 1969 until 2021, the Scopus database registered 584 basketball publications. This review scrutinised the bibliographic results using Microsoft Excel, Publish or Perish (PoP), and VOSviewer. The production pattern fluctuated throughout the year, but after 2011 it climbed dramatically. In 2006, publications on basketball research had increased to double digits, with 11 documents. Significantly, between 2020 and 2021, 140 publications were published, with 66 in 2020 and 74 in 2021 indicating scholarly interest. The United States is the most productive country, with 210 academic works. J. Sampaio and J. Yanci were the most prolific authors. The Universidad de Granada rose to the top of the productivity rankings. This study has several limitations; the method applied in this study needs to clarify how to find, categorise, and use a database. It’s worth noting that data can also be obtained from other databases.

A Model for Accurate Determination of Environmental Parameters in Indoor Zoological and Botanical Gardens Supporting Efficient Species Management

The detailed evaluation of environmental parameters can be a great tool for the optimal selection and location of vegetable species, not only in vegetable production facilities and greenhouses but also in zoological and botanical gardens, which frequently maintain delicate and exotic plant species with strict environmental requirements in immersive exhibits where conditions can vary remarkably. This study, developed at an indoor zoological garden (Biodomo—Parque de las Ciencias de Granada, Spain), evaluates a sampling protocol for the determination of seven environmental parameters: daily light integral (DLI) was determined at nine different locations of the facility using a portable Light Quantum SQ-500 sensor; air temperature, atmospheric pressure, and air relative humidity were measured using a fixed ATMOS14 sensor; and soil temperature, soil water content, and soil conductivity were determined using a fixed TEROS12 sensor. Values recorded for DLI showed statistically significant variations across the nine different sampling locations, as well as between the different months in all sampling spots. Significant variations were also detected across the 12 months of study for the rest of environmental parameters evaluated, and correlations were found between the studied parameters, with the correlation between soil and air temperature the strongest (rs = 0.758) and soil temperature significantly superior to air temperature. The methodology described in this study can be easily reproduced in similar indoor zoological and botanical facilities, increasing the knowledge of the environmental conditions, and allowing corrections that could improve species selection, location, and management.

Semi-multilamellar growth in Reptomulticavata alhamensis, a new cyclostome (Bryozoa) species from the Tortonian of Alhama de Granada (S. Spain).

In the Tortonian beds of Alhama de Granada within the Granada Basin severa! large, oblate to spheroid, bryozoan colonies are found belonging to a new species of Cyclostomata. Reptomulticava alhamensis nov. sp. presents a semimultilamellar growth in contrast with the prevailing clear multilamellar growth in other Reptomulticava and related genera. Like R. multigemmata , this species buds axially.

The last Qur’an from al-Andalus?

The aim of this paper is to improve upon the description of MS 2 of the Escuela de Estudios Árabes de Granada, and to propose a new dating based on the material analysis of the document carried out by Sonsoles González in 2014 and my subsequent rereading and translation of its colophon. If one accepts my proposed revised dating, this manuscript would be the last known Qur’an from the Iberian peninsula, copied as late as the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century, in the city of Cordova. Moreover, this copy is heir to an Andalusian tradition stretching back to the theoretical treatises of Abū ʿAmr ʿUthmān al-Dānī, transmitted faithfully from generation to generation through the Andalusi, Mudejar, and Morisco periods, down to the period of this manuscript. Lastly, it contains marginal notes with chapter numbers, and Latin translations of sura titles, which are clear evidence of its later use among Christian intellectual circles.

Ethical Values in a Post-Industrial Economy: The Case of the Organic Farmers’ Market in Granada (Spain)

The importance of the collective management of immaterial resources is a key variable in the valorisation of products in a post-industrial economy. The purpose of this paper is to analyse how, in post-industrial economies, it is possible to devise alternative forms of mediation between producers and consumers, such as organic farmers' markets, to curb the appropriation of rent by transnational and/or local business elites from the value created by immaterial resources. More specifically, we analyse those aspects of the collective management of ethical values that, in the case of organic farmers' markets, can be a strategic source of competitive advantage for local producers. In this paper, the Ecomercado de Granada is studied as an example of mediation between production and consumption in a post-industrial economy.

Suspending Disbelief: (Un)civil Conflict in Ginés Pérez de Hita's Guerras civiles de Granada (primera parte)

To overcome continual disputes over Ginés Pérez de Hita's unknowable intentions, this article adopts the complicated and conflicted perspective of his broad readership in early modern Spain. This point of view understood Guerras civiles de Granada I through a horizon of expectations established by practices perceived in verisimilar historias (histories/stories) and theories gleaned from prescriptive works. To better understand these expectations, the first half of this article examines how apocryphal and authentic historias reveal frictions between early modern conceptions of the epic and historiography with respect to facticity and verisimilitude. The second half of this article considers how Guerras civiles de Granada I's entertaining verisimilitude enabled an early modern audience to suspend disbelief and contemplate how intolerant malsines perpetuated cycles of (un)civil conflict in early modern Spain by falsely accusing others of betraying the kingdom's customs, religion, and royal family.

The Rebellion of the Alpujarras, Virgil, and the Fall of the Giants by Petrus Firens Cover Art for Historia de las Guerras Civiles de Granada

This paper is an analysis of the engraving made by Petrus Firens for the cover page of Historia de las Guerras Civiles de Granada (Gines Perez de Hita, Paris, 1606?). The artwork makes use of a particular iconography, portraying a battle against Islam as a Gigantomachy in which references to texts by Virgil are employed to link the victories of Philip II over Islam to the victories of Roman Emperors. What makes this edition particularly noteworthy is its publication in France by a Spanish spy in the service of the French king which leads us to reconsider its political purpose.

Musing on the sources Contemptus mundi in Japan 1596

The Tenshō Mission organized by Alessandro Valignano S. J. brought one or several books written by Luis de Granada translated into Japanese to Granada when they visited this Dominican friar in Lisbon. The purpose of my article is to examine, by comparing Latin, Spanish, Japanese, and some English and French editions, if the book of devotion most popularly called the Imitatio Christi, attributed to Thomas à Kempis and published in Japanese translation by the Jesuit Mission Press (1596) is not based on Luis de Granada’s Spanish translation of this book.

La cabra montés coloniza la Vega de Granada, una nueva especie para Sierra Elvira (España)

The Iberian ibex (Capra pyrenaica) is an endemic species of the Iberian Peninsula that is expanding throughout the province of Granada (Andalucía). Historical records of this species in the Sierra Elvira massif, in the Vega de Granada, are missing. This recent permanent establishment of this species in the study area allows us to examine different demographic parameters from this population (density, reproductive index, sex ratio and age distribution). To approach this goal, we sampled by the Distance Sampling method this ibex population during the spring of 2019. Besides, to evaluate the use of the space and determine the range size, we captured and marked one individual. Although the preliminary basis of the study, the results define several population parameters of this newly established ibex population. Overall, this study can be used to develop a proper management program of this population that includes monitoring, habitat adaptation and a harvest control plan.

Diet of sympatric Barn Owls Tyto alba and Short-eared Owls Asio flammeus in an agricultural landscape in south-east Spain

The diets of the Barn Owl Tyto alba and the Short-eared Owl Asio flammeus have been extensively studied worldwide over the past few years, especially on the Iberian Peninsula. Nevertheless, very few studies have examined the diets and the trophic niche overlap in areas where these two raptor species occur in sympatry. As such, in this study we compared the diets of the Barn Owl and the Short-eared Owl inhabiting agricultural landscapes of the Vega de Granada, south-east Spain, based on pellet analysis. The diets were very similar, as both owls preyed mainly on small mammals, the Algerian Mouse Mus spretus being the prey most commonly found in pellets from both species. Although the diet of the Barn Owl was more diverse than that of the Short-eared Owl, the food niche overlap was very high, thus indicating a low interspecific trophic segregation. Despite the similarities between both diets, the frequency of the Mediterranean Pine Vole Microtus duodecimcostatus was much higher in pellets from the Barn Owl, thus suggesting that the Barn Owl may exert pest control in years when the Mediterranean Pine Vole occurs in high numbers.
