The digital development of society is an urgent and important topic in the modern world, as technologies and digital tools play an increasingly important role in our daily lives. This research topic is an urgent phenomenon that requires attention and study for the effective implementation of digital technologies in various spheres of life. The purpose of the work is to study the main aspects of the digital development of society, their use and impact on people’s lives. To achieve the goal, the following were studied: the development of digital technologies and devices, the creation of digital infrastructure, the use of digital technologies to increase productivity and efficiency in various fields, the use of digital technologies to ensure a decent human life, as well as opportunities and risks. Thus, the relevance of this work lies in describing the impact of digitalization on all processes taking place in society as a whole. The paper reflects the directions of the use of the Internet and the use of digital technologies in organizations, identifies the share of the use of digital technologies to increase productivity and efficiency in agriculture and higher education, notes the development of electronic services for public services in the field of public administration and social services, improving the efficiency of the health system, the introduction of electronic voting and digital identification, the development of data monitoring and analysis systems and more. It is noted that along with the possibilities of digitalization, risks arise. Thus, digitalization has affected the economy, education, healthcare, government, cultural and entertainment development, and security.

Design of Power Monitoring System for 2 Solar Panels Based on Thingspeak

Indonesia is one of the countries with large solar energy potential, namely around 3,294.4 GW recorded in 2022. However, solar energy utilization during 2022 is only 0.01%. Based on this problem, a research was carried out which aimed to combine the power produced by solar panels. This research emerged as a response to the need for energy efficiency and desires. With proper monitoring, solar panel owners can optimize their use of solar energy, reduce waste, and ensure that their solar panels are working at maximum capacity. This research is included in engineering research to determine the performance specifications and design specifications of the system that has been designed. Performance specifications cover a series of system electronic components and monitoring data displays displayed on Thingspeak. The design specifications in this research include sensor characterization, accuracy and precision of the Power Monitoring System For 2 Solar Panels Based On Thingspeak. From the results of the design specifications, the sensor used in the system has a high linearity value, good accuracy of 98.735% (voltage), 97.027% (current), and 97.994% (light intensity) and good accuracy of 99.905% (voltage), 99.549% (current), and 99.874% (light intensity).

Optimizing spare part monitoring: Innovative dashboard system design for commanditaire vennotschaap using rapid application development

This research focuses on digital transformation at the Try Jaya Mobil workshop, which relies on manual processes for recording spare parts sales transactions and generating financial reports. This manual process causes various challenges, such as mismatches between incoming data and orders and a lack of historical sales records that hinder data search and analysis. The absence of a computerized system also reduces stock management and customer service efficiency. This research uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method to design a more sophisticated spare parts monitoring information system. The Rapid Application Development approach enables iterative and rapid software development, involving users at every stage. The information system is designed to improve accuracy, speed, and operational efficiency and enable better stock recording and monitoring. The results show that implementing a RAD-based information system can significantly improve customer service and Try Jaya Mobil's competitiveness in the market. Evaluation of the system after implementation showed improvements in operational efficiency, data accuracy, and user satisfaction. With this digital transformation, Try Jaya Mobil is expected to optimize its services and strengthen its competitive automotive industry position.

Race, Ethnicity, and Other Barriers to Access Dental Care During Pregnancy.

Historically, women of color showed poorer oral health and lower dental service utilization in the USA. These barriers to dental care during pregnancy included dental coverage, primary language, dental provider availability, safety concerns, affordability of dental care, and perceived oral health benefits during pregnancy. The purpose of this study is to examine whether race/ethnicity modified the associations between barriers to accessing dental care and dental service utilization during pregnancy. This cross-sectional study sample included 62,189 women aged 20 and older with a recent birth history in 21 states from the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) data from 2016 to 2019. We introduced a race/ethnicity by barrier interaction term to our multiple logistic regression models. After adjusting for other confounders, dental insurance during pregnancy and perceived oral health benefits were associated with 4.0- and 5.6-fold higher odds, respectively, of dental service utilization during pregnancy. Statistically significant effect modification by race/ethnicity was observed in crude and adjusted analyses of the relationship between dental service utilization for all barriers included in the interaction analyses with all adjusted p-values < 0.001. The interaction analysis found that racial/ethnic disparity in visiting dentists during pregnancy was significant among women who reported these dental barriers. In contrast, such racial/ethnic disparity was substantially attenuated among women who did not report such barriers. The observed racial/ethnic disparities could be mitigated by such supporting mechanisms: dental coverage, provider availability and willingness to treat pregnant women, oral health education on the safety of dental care during pregnancy, and affordable dental care costs.

Research on Football Field Monitoring System Based on Internet of Things

Football is one of the three major sports in the world, and it is an important part of a country's sports. At present, an important method of football tactics research is to use the Internet of Things data monitoring system to collect various data generated during the game and training, and then use computer software to obtain kinematic information. In order to improve the efficiency of physical energy allocation and technical and tactical level of athletes, and timely discover the problems of athletes and the implementation of coaches' tactics. Coaches urgently need a system that can collect various sports data in time. This paper proposes a football field data monitoring system based on the Internet of Things, which tests the performance of data monitoring through MATLAB. Finally, the validity and scientificity of the data monitoring system were initially verified.

Monitoring Ongoing Clinical Trials Under Fractional Brownian Motion With Drift

The standard Brownian motion (Bm) with a linear drift is a convenient statistical structure for monitoring ongoing clinical trials in practice for more than four decades (Lan and DeMets). Under this model, the most current one-point statistic is sufficient. However, in our experience, the sponsor and the data monitoring committee often would like to make decision or recommendation based on the “trend” observed from the history of data, not just a one-point snapshot. In this article, we introduce and advance the fractional Brownian motion (fBm) with drift model to formally accommodate this need. The possible dependence and/or the nonlinear trend (e.g., piecewise linear drift with change-point) of observations in clinical trials may come from uncontrollable factors such as patient entry processes may have seasonal patterns over time, patient survival time may depend on the practices of clinical centers, physicians or censoring time (Lai et al.). The violations of the standard Bm and the need for the fBm are discussed with illustrative examples. The common methods including conditional power and sample size re-estimation used for monitoring clinical trials are derived and implemented in the Dynamic Data Monitoring (DDM) system for practitioners under the fBm.

Analysis of Regional Financial Constraints and Management

This research aims to identify the inhibiting factors affecting the sustainability of the innovation in the Electronic Financial Monitoring Information System (SiMOLEK) application at the Ministry of Home Affairs, particularly in the management of local finances and the evaluation process of accountability for the implementation of the Regional Budget. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, gathering data through observations and interviews with key informants who have authority, tasks, and functions related to the operation of SiMOLEK. The inhibiting factors analyzed are based on the results of studies conducted by Deloitte and KPMG, adjusted for relevance to the research object, including politics, lack of finance, leadership, technology, culture, and insufficient technical skills. The research findings indicate that the inhibiting factors causing the unsustainability of the SiMOLEK application innovation are politics, lack of finance, leadership, and technology.

Ensuring radiation safety during dismantling, transportation and long-term storage of the SM-3 research reactor core

Described shortly here is a procedure of demounting, removal, transport and long-term storage of the SM-3 core, based on the previous experience of reactor refurbishment undertaken in 1991. Prior to performing refurbishment, computations and calculated data analysis were performed to prove radiation safety of this work, which included estimation of the activity level for activation products in the structural materials of the nuclear research reactor core and the radiation conditions at different stages of its handling. As evidenced by the calculated data, the activity of the main dose-forming radionuclide 60Co attains equilibrium in about 12 years of radiation exposure. Taking into account the fact that the time period between two refurbishments was longer than 12 years, the calculated values of the equivalent dose rate were normalized to the radiation monitoring data obtained during the previous refurbishment, taking into account the calculated activity of 60Co radionuclide. The normalization made it possible to confirm reliability of estimates. The obtained activity data of activation products and taking into account the time spent during the SM-3 refurbishment in 1991, the radiation impact on personnel was estimated. Calculated values of the anticipated effective radiation exposure doses to the personnel engaged in the refurbishment revealed that the main limits of the personnel radiation exposure established in accordance with NRB-99/2009 were not exceeded. Comparison of the results of calculating the equivalent dose rate with the results of radiation monitoring at various points allowed us to establish that during the calculation and analytical justification of the radiation safety of work, the assessment of reflected radiation was significantly underestimated. But the radiation monitoring data, personal radiation monitoring, as well as recorded data of automatic radiation monitoring system show that all work was performed in compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents in the field of radiation safety.

The Association Between Prenatal Food Insecurity and Breastfeeding Initiation and Exclusive Breastfeeding Duration: A Longitudinal Study Using Oregon PRAMS and PRAMS-2, 2008-2015.

Background: In the United States, 11.1% of households experience food insecurity; however, pregnant women are disproportionately affected. Maternal food insecurity may affect infant feeding practices, for example, through being a source of chronic stress that may alter the decision to initiate and continue breastfeeding. Thus, we sought to determine whether prenatal food insecurity was associated with breastfeeding (versus not) and exclusive breastfeeding duration among Oregon women. Method: The Oregon Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) data of live births from 2008 to 2015 and the Oregon PRAMS-2 follow-up survey were used (n = 3,624) in this study. Associations with breastfeeding initiation and duration were modeled with multivariable logistic regression and accelerated failure time (AFT), respectively. Models were adjusted for maternal sociodemographic and pre-pregnancy health characteristics. Results: Nearly 10% of women experienced prenatal food insecurity. For breastfeeding initiation, unadjusted models suggested non-significant decreased odds (odds ratio (OR) 0.88 [confidence intervals (CI): 0.39, 1.99]), whereas adjusted models revealed a non-significant increased odds (OR 1.41 [CI: 0.58, 3.47]). Unadjusted AFT models suggested that food-insecure mothers had a non-significant decrease in exclusive breastfeeding duration (OR 0.76 [CI: 0.50, 1.17]), but adjustment for covariates attenuated results (OR 0.89 [CI: 0.57, 1.39]). Conclusions: Findings suggest minimal differences in breastfeeding practices when exploring food security status in the prenatal period, though the persistence of food insecurity may affect exclusive breastfeeding duration. Lower breastfeeding initiation may be due to other explanatory factors correlated with food insecurity and breastfeeding, such as education and marital status.

Prevalence of Nosocomial Venous Thromboembolic Complications in New Tuberculosis Patients and Relapses: Data from the Moscow City Registry (A Multicenter Study)

The objective: to evaluate VTEC in new tuberculosis patients and relapses, to determine main factors influencing its development (according to data of the patients admitted to Moscow tuberculosis hospitals)Subjects and Methods. Based on the data of epidemiological tuberculosis monitoring system of Moscow, treatment outcomes of 4609 tuberculosis patients admitted to tuberculosis hospitals from 2020 to 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The incidence of VTEC was estimated.Results. Totally 214/4609 cases of VTEC were identified (4.6%; 95% CI 4.1-5.3%), among which the incidence of DVT made 3.5% (95% CI 3.0-4.1%), SVP 1.5% (95% CI 1.2-1.9%), and PATE 0.6% (95% CI 0.4-0.8%). The most significant risk factors of thrombotic complications in tuberculosis patients were identified, those factors included HIV infection (RR 3.8; 95% CI 2.7-4.5) and fibrous cavernous form of pulmonary tuberculosis (RR 9.1; 95% CI 4.7-17.6). The overall prevalence of VTEC in tuberculosis hospitals was 3 or more times higher than in general clinics (according to the published data).Conclusion. The data obtained indicate that patients hospitalized for pulmonary tuberculosis face a high risk of VTEC development that requires prediction and prevention.

Vibration sensor as the basis of an equipment monitoring system

Currently, the high complexity and instability of engineering production processes leads to the need to make management decisions under conditions of uncertainty, which significantly affects the efficiency of production as a whole. Reducing uncertainty in operational production planning of machine-building industries is possible by analyzing data on the flow of technological processes collected using equipment monitoring systems, i.e. measuring and information systems. It is proposed to use vibration sensors as the main source of information to obtain reliable data on the operation of equipment. General issues regarding vibration sensors are considered and a variant of their classification according to various features is presented, such as sensitivity, operating principle, method of obtaining information, signal conversion mechanism, signal measurement method. Several versions of vibration sensors have been developed, designed to collect information about the level of vibration during processing and included in the diagnostic module for monitoring equipment operation. The first version of the printed circuit board is based on a microcontroller based on ATMega328P, designed to read MEMS accelerometer data and transmit the collected information using a wireless communication module to the operator panel for display in real time and transmission for storage and processing to the server. To charge the battery, a charge controller based on the TP4056 chip and a low-dropout linear stabilizer TPS730 are used. In the second option, the MPU9250 inertial measurement module is used, and information processing and data transmission is carried out using a specialized module NINA-B306. A printed circuit board of any of the presented options is installed in a vibration control sensor mounted on the back side of a three-jaw chuck inside the machine body. This placement of the diagnostic module eliminates the possibility of its unintentional damage while ensuring the required quality and reliability of signal transmission. The vibration sensor, fixed to the cartridge using quick-release strips, consists of a board located in the housing. Above the board there is an insert that protects the board from the battery. The housing is closed from above with a lid using screw washers through a gasket to ensure the housing is sealed. The clamping screw is used to secure the board in the case. The vibration sensor is turned on using a button. The proposed vibration sensor can be used as the basis of an measuring and information systems, because information about the level of vibration of a technological system, recorded by sensors, like a human cardiogram, provides comprehensive information about its condition. A diagnostic module built on the basis of a vibration sensor will increase the efficiency and “transparency” of machining processes and collect statistical data that allows assessing the efficiency of equipment operation.

Designing the architecture of a distributed system for information monitoring of IoT and IIoT infrastructures traffic

The article considers an approach to designing the architecture of a distributed information monitoring and quality management system for communication services provided by the Internet of Things and Industrial Internet of Things infrastructures based on solutions supporting machine-to-machine and human-machine interaction. The choice of a neural network with long Short-Term memory (LSTM) is justified as a theoretical basis for modeling the active node of an information monitoring system. The developed structure of the LSTM network is presented, taking into account the spatial and temporal correlation of the obtained indicators at various observation points of the distributed information monitoring system. The criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the proposed model for the conditions of information monitoring of non-stationary load in a mode close to real time are substantiated.

Designing a Lecture Journal Information System as an Effort to Monitor and Evaluate the Learning Process (Literature Study)

In the learning process, it is necessary to hold a monitoring process to see the extent of the lecture activities that have been carried out. Lecture journal documents contain material delivered by lecturers to students at each lecture meeting which aims for information and data on the lecture process. This research aims to design an information system for monitoring and evaluating the learning process which is expected to be able to provide solutions in monitoring and evaluating learning activities that are transparent, accountable and realtime. The method used in this research is literature study. The conclusion in this study is that the information system for monitoring and evaluating the learning process has very important benefits for making decisions in the teaching and learning process in the future

Russian fisheries in 2000–2020

Purpose of the work: analysis of the development of fisheries development in Russia in the first two decades of the 21st century, assessment of stock state and catches of fish resources, and identification of major factors of influence on these resources and fisheries. Methods used: the main source of information on the production in Russian fisheries was annual data on catches of fish and other aquatic biological resources and data on aquaculture production — Form No. 1-P (fish). Сatches and yields of fish resources were analyzed based on the operative reporting of enterprises and data of the industry monitoring system. For access and initial processing, the FMS analyst software was used.Novelty: an analysis of the regulatory and legal framework development is presented, materials from Russian fisheries for 2000–2020 are summarized and analyzed.Practical significance: the development of any type of economic activity is a continuous, but heterogeneous process, with periods of growth and decline of varying duration. Fishery is no exception. Throughout its history, the industrial fisheries in Russia have gone through a series of stages associated with changes in fisheries technology and evolution of fishing vessel design. The development of industrial fisheries was also related to such objective conditions as long-term climate changes, which influenced the state of fisheries resources.

Real-Time Web-Based Monitoring System for Temperature, Humidity, and Solar Panels in Ramie Drying Facilities

Purpose: To address the manual monitoring challenges in processing ramie fibers, especially during drying. The purpose is to create a monitoring system that oversees room temperature, humidity, and the status of solar panels, crucial factors in ramie productivity.Methods: Real-time web-based system development that monitors room temperature, humidity, and the performance of solar panels in a ramie drying room using the Internet of Things architecture ESP32 with communication through GSM SIM 800L in rural areas.Results: The system can display real-time information such as temperature data, humidity, and electrical energy parameters derived from the solar panel's utilization in the ramie drying room. By doing so, users gain efficiency and effectiveness in obtaining information, significantly enhancing ramie fiber productivity.Novelty: Integration of sensor instruments, low-power ESP32 microcontrollers, GSM Telecommunication, Solar Cell Energy as a power source, and a real-time web-based Monitoring Information System implemented in a ramie drying dome. This simplifies the monitoring process and optimizes limited resources such as space, energy, telecommunications, and human resources, which are typically constrained infrastructure in the ramie fiber agricultural system.

Survey of parasites in sea turtles rescued off the coast of Santa Catarina and Paraná, Brazil (2020-2022) and their relationship with marine pollution

The identification of parasite fauna can contribute to the assessment of the health status of sea turtles, and thus make it possible to develop effective management and treatment strategies aimed at conserving these animals. The present study aimed to investigate the parasite fauna in sea turtles rescued in six sections of the coast of Santa Catarina and Paraná (Brazil) from January 2020 to December 2022 through the recording of exam reports available in the Information System of Aquatic Biota Monitoring. In total, records of 334 sea turtles were analyzed during this period, of which 219 (65.6 %) were infected with at least one parasite. Chelonia mydas was the most frequent species with 86.5 % of rescues and presented the highest species richness. At least 43 species belonging to 36 different genera have been recorded parasitizing sea turtles. The most common helminths were Cricocephalus albus, Metacetabulum invaginatum, Pronocephalus obliquus, with 12.3 %, 8.7 % and 8.4 %, respectively, while protozoa of the genus Entamoeba were the most prevalent in the turtles analyzed (8.1 %). An interesting finding was the unprecedented finding of Hymenolepis sp. eggs in faeces of some turtle species. The results showed that the parasite fauna was quite diverse, with several species known to be capable of harming the physical health and well-being of sea turtles. In view of this, it is necessary to adopt strategies for monitoring the health of the different rescued species with a view to conserving sea turtles in Brazilian territory.

Impact of Breastfeeding Barriers on Racial/Ethnic Disparities in Breastfeeding Outcomes in North Dakota.

Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for the first 6months of life, but there are racial/ethnic disparities in meeting this recommendation. 2017-2020 North Dakota Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (weighted N = 11,754) data were used to examine racial/ethnic differences in the association between self-reported breastfeeding barriers and breastfeeding duration. Breastfeeding duration was self-reported breastfeeding at 2 and 4months, and number of weeks until breastfeeding cessation. Self-reported breastfeeding barriers were yes/no responses to 13 barriers (e.g., "difficulty latching," "household duties"). Logistic regression estimated odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals to determine if barriers accounted for breastfeeding disparities by race/ethnicity. Cox proportional hazard models estimated hazard ratios for stopping breastfeeding for American Indian and other race/ethnicity individuals, compared to White individuals. Models were adjusted for birthing parents' demographic and medical factors. Logistic regression results suggest American Indian birthing parents had similar odds for breastfeeding duration (2-month duration: OR 0.94 (95%CI 0.50, 1.77); 4-month duration: OR 1.24 (95%CI 0.43, 3.62)) compared to White birthing parents, after accounting for breastfeeding barriers. Cox proportional hazard models suggest American Indian birthing parents had a lower hazard of stopping breastfeeding (HR 0.76 (95%CI 0.57, 0.99)) than White parents, after accounting for breastfeeding barriers. Accounting for breastfeeding barriers eliminated observed disparities in breastfeeding outcomes between American Indian and White birthing parents. Targeted and culturally safe efforts to reduce barriers to breastfeeding are warranted to reduce racial/ethnic disparities in breastfeeding.

Pre-pregnancy Weightand Racial-Ethnic Disparities in Pregnancy-Associated Conditions in the State of Georgia: A Population-Based Study.

We investigate racial-ethnic disparities in pre-pregnancy obesity and pregnancy weight gain, which are known to increase the risk of pregnancy-associated conditions. We used 4-year (2017-2020) combined Georgia Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System data (N = 3208) to investigate racial-ethnic disparities in the incidence of gestational hypertension (GHT), gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), and postpartum depression (PPD) and their associated risk with pre-pregnancy overweight/obesity after controlling for demographic and other confounders using regression modeling. The geographic distributions of hypertension and PPD rates at the county level were compared to the patterns of racial-ethnic populations and hospitals. The PPD rates were higher among Asian (17.6), Hispanic (14.4), and Black (14.3); GDM was highest among Asian (16.0) mothers; and GHT was the highest among Black (11.7) followed by White mothers (9.0). Pre-pregnancy overweight and obese conditions increased the odds of hypertension in Black (2 ½ times) and White (> 3 ½ times) mothers. Premature birth increased the odds of hypertension (2-3 times) in all mothers. Pre-pregnancy weight also increased the odds of GDM (3-7 times) in these racial groups. Premature birth increases the odds twice as likely for PPD in Hispanic and White mothers. The convergence of high PPD and hypertension rates with high proportions of racial and ethnic minorities, and lack of hospital presence, indicates areas where healthcare interventions are required. These findings underscore the importance of promoting a healthy pre-pregnancy weight to reduce the burden of maternal morbidity and pregnancy outcomes in general. More comprehensive prenatal monitoring using technological interventions for self-care has a great promise of being effective in maintaining a healthy pregnancy.

DIGITAL DOCUMENTATION AND FAST CENSUS FOR MONITORING THE UNIVERSITY'S BUILT HERITAGE

Abstract. Digital 3D reconstruction in architecture is a powerful tool for monitoring construction sites, tracking project progress, and ensuring quality control. This method involves the use of digital survey technologies, such as drones, laser scanners, and 3D modelling software, to acquire precise and detailed data on the construction process. If we consider surveying to be a phase of documenting the existing, it is possible to talk about an architectural census as the process of collecting and analysing data on buildings and structures. This information is crucial for management and planning, as it can help identify issues related to building safety, accessibility, and sustainability. The research project aims to quickly obtain a database of documentation and historical, dimensional, morphological, and material knowledge of a university building in the historic centre of Pavia that is now disused, to develop an information system for quick census and monitoring.
