“Human Life is Like a Joke”. Ágnes Heller in memoriam

ABSTRACTÁgnes Heller who died on 19 July 2019 was one of the most influential social scientists of the last century, particularly from the publication of Everyday Life Sociology in the 1960s. With analysis of main concepts such as transcendental freedom and hetero interpretation, I wish to pay tribute to my Master of revolutionary ideas in philosophy and sociology in our daily life-world actions. However, Heller's work crossed boundaries between disciplines and include analysis on contemporary literature and music.

Quality of life and work improvements according to community health agents.

For acting at the level of the community and mediating between it and health services, the role of community health agents (CHA) is essential. For this reason, this occupational group needs satisfactory quality of life and working conditions to ensure their well-being and improve the quality of their work. On these grounds, the present study is justified as a means to reflect on the work process of this occupational group and enable suggestions for improvements. To discuss strategies to improve CHA's quality of life and work. Exploratory study with qualitative analysis conducted with CHA in Currais Novos, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Strategies suggested to improve quality of life and work focused on mental and physical aspects and the essential resources needed for work. Discussions and sound grounds are needed for initiatives to improve the living and working conditions of CHA and thus achieve a positive impact on this population of workers, and consequently also on their daily actions.

Designing a testing device for customized hip prosthesis

The practical reference of this article is part of the technical and medical field of designing, modeling and testing of hip prostheses. The purpose of the article is to present a stand that tests the hip orthopedic prostheses. After the initial design, the whole assembly was redesigned both dimensionally and functionally based on the results obtained by the finite element method. The main results fromthe design of the stand are both the wide range of types of hip prostheses that can be tested as well as the actual simulation of the kinematics of the joint. The simulations performed correspond to the different daily actions: walking, running and other special conditions. The practical implications of this research are the possibility of testing the time endurance of prosthesis in the laboratory condition. The results obtained from this research can be applied to the development of new generations of prostheses, starting from materials with better endurance and reaching aspects of shape and customizableoptimal dimensions.

Basal Ganglia: Striosomes and the Link between Motivation and Action

The basal ganglia integrate motivation and action across their circuits; neurons in anatomical modules called striosomes could contribute strongly to this merger. A new method focusing on network interconnections will allow a better understanding of the functional role of striosomes.

Depth Maps-Based Human Segmentation and Action Recognition Using Full-Body Plus Body Color Cues Via Recognizer Engine

Assessment of human behavior during performance of daily routine actions at indoor areas plays a significant role in healthcare services and smart homes for elderly and disabled people. During this consideration, initially, depth images are captured using depth camera and segment human silhouettes due to color and intensity variation. Features considered spatiotemporal properties and obtained from the human body color joints and depth silhouettes information. Joint displacement and specific-motion features are obtained from human body color joints and side-frame differentiation features are processed based on depth data to improve classification performance. Lastly, recognizer engine is used to recognize different activities. Unlike conventional results that were evaluated using a single dataset, our experimental results have shown state-of-the-art accuracy of 88.9% and 66.70% over two challenging depth datasets. The proposed system should be serviceable with major contributions in different consumer application systems such as smart homes, video surveillance and health monitoring systems.

Patient safety in primary care: conceptions of family health strategy nurses.

To understand the conceptions of nurses working in the Family Health Strategy about patient safety in primary health care and how they affect the daily actions of these professional. A descriptive-exploratory study of a qualitative approach, carried out with nurses working in Family Health Strategies, in a municipality in the central region of RS. Data collection techniques were semi-structured interview and non-participant systematic observation, carried out from April to November 2017. The data were submitted to the Thematic Content Analysis. Data analysis resulted in three thematic categories addressing the meanings, difficulties and strategies related to safe care. The research shows the need for new studies on the subject. The reflections can contribute to nursing care with a view to patient safety, qualifying both nurses' work and health care in an expanded way.

Organizational and Social Factors Affecting the Formation of Managerial Values of Airport Operations in Turkey

The purpose of this study is to determine which values that provide reference to the daily actions and decisions taken by managers of airport operations in Turkey differ according to the social characteristics and organizational conditions in which the managers are trained. An online questionnaire was used as data collection. Survey forms were shared with business communication departments. The population of this study includes middle and senior managers in airport operators in Turkey. The sample consisted of 163 participants. The general opinion taken into account in the determination of the values adopted by the airport operations managers is that the Turkish society has a binary culture structure- western and local. Managerial values can show differences in terms of education, social and organizational conditions. Results are that values of the managers differ according to how long the organization has been operating, the total duration of the workday, the level of education of parents and the number of employees. Individual values are important in understanding managerial behavior. Values are unique criteria that enable people to become conscious of social relations and duties. We contribute to this understanding through determining factors affecting the formation of the manager’s values of airport operations in Turkey.

Docência Universitária: a profissionalização docente em cursos da área da saúde no contexto pós-neoliberal

The professional development of teachers has been the subject of educational proposals that value a teacher training no longer based on technical rationality, but from a perspective that recognizes the ability of these professionals to decide to confront their daily actions with theoretical productions, especially in a period post-neoliberal they are. Faced with this reflection, the aim of this work - of applied and exploratory nature, appreciating and exploring the quantitative and qualitative approaches - is to understand the professionalization of university teaching in the post-neoliberal context and its impact on practices and knowledge of academics, with reference to the perceptions of teaching professionals in the health field. A (re)produção da cultura docente na cultura escolar

O presente artigo tem por base um estudo de caso e enquadra-se numa abordagem dialógica – êmica e ética. Teve como objetivo identificar e caracterizar categorias êmicas-éticas que emergem na cultura escolar e profissional docente e que implicam nas ações cotidianas dos professores. A coleta e construção de dados, concretizou-se por meio de Focus Group com professores de uma escola da rede de ensino público brasileiro. Os dados apontam para simbioses na (re)produção de culturas profissionais docentes na cultura escolar caracterizadas por individualismo e sofrimento profissional, colaboração em enclaves, apartheids organizacionais/profissionais e presença de uma cultura de escola lutadora.

Lifestyle Strategies for Risk Factor Reduction, Prevention, and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease.

Daily habits and actions powerfully affect the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), in general, and coronary heart disease, in particular. Regular physical activity, sound nutrition, weight management, and not smoking cigarettes have all been demonstrated to significantly reduce the risk of CVD. In 2 large cohort studies a reduction of risk of CVD of >80% and diabetes >90% were demonstrated in individuals who followed a cluster of these lifestyle practices. The study of the impact of lifestyle factors on CVD risk has coalesced under the framework of "lifestyle medicine." Despite the overwhelming evidence that lifestyle factors affect CVD, a distinct minority of individuals are following these practices. The American Heart Association estimates that only 5% of individuals follow all of these lifestyle factors as components of a strategy to achieve "ideal" cardiovascular health. The challenge to the medical and health care communities is to more aggressively incorporate this information into the daily practices of medicine.

“Sowan” dan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter Pesantren Berkelanjutan

This article will describe the Kiai as primary leader in Islamic boarding school who has responsibility to teach Islamic doctrine and build good character of santries in one of unique Islamic boarding school traditions “sowan”, that sowan tradition either as medium of kiai-santries relationship empowerment, it become a medium of following character building education. The kiai can encourage and motivate the santries to be consisten and commite in applicate pesantren characters like patients, honest, consisten, and empowering fith to the God in their daily actions in the life. The trust of Kiai’s personality as ultimate figure for them make them obey to their fatwa and advices and believe that aplicate everything that kiai said make them get barokah and usefulness in their life in a middle of communities. So that, that mind set can be a modal for Kiai to empower character building education goin on continuously gradually long time to the santries who have gone out of Islamic boarding school.

9. La finance islamique, cheval de Troie de la finance moderne ?

À partir des valeurs, préceptes et prescriptions de la Charia, les juristes musulmans ont proposé un modèle normatif d’ Homo œconomicus musulman, doté d’une rationalité propre. Cette philosophie économique doit guider les comportements individuels de consommation, de production, d’investissement, d’épargne, etc. Le comportement rationnel de cet « Homo islamicus » se conçoit en la poursuite de son intérêt propre auquel s’ajoutent les contraintes liées à l’intérêt social. Dans ce contexte, la finance islamique se distingue de la finance conventionnelle par sa vision différente sur les motivations des individus : elle considère que ceux-ci peuvent avoir un comportement moral dans leurs actions quotidiennes. Toutefois, si elle a une dimension universaliste, elle n’est, à ce jour, qu’une « niche » de la finance moderne.

Yarmouk minors: their situation and displacement… their agency through cultural forms, psychosocial activities and through daily life actions

ABSTRACT This paper focuses on exiled minors from Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp. It elucidates how the trauma of Yarmouk, resulting from the Syrian conflict, evokes the Nakba of 1948 and the loss of Palestine. It explains generally how this trauma has affected minors of Yarmouk, but on the other hand how they are able to engage positively in such situations. Therefore, it focuses on the agency of Yarmouk minors, and explores it through investigating their cultural forms such as poem reciting and singing, as well as through focusing on their engagement both in psychosocial activities and daily life actions. Poems that emphasize the displacement from Palestine and Yarmouk as well as illustrate the imagination of the lost land. Daily activities and psychosocial that stress the pursuit for a normal life. Theoretical concepts borrowed from Anderson, Chatterjee and Hage are employed in order to enable us understand in which ways minors demonstrate their agency in order to maintain the daily survival. The data analysed in this paper stems from interviews with Yarmouk residents, both adults and minors, along with visual materials such as videos and photos provided by relief workers and activists.

Applying balanced scorecard methodology in public sector: The case of a vocational school in Greece

Balanced Scorecard is a very important tool for management and evaluation of the long-term organization strategy, which simultaneously observes the improvements at the efficient function, exploiting the most of the organization’s potentials and diffusing the progress to all the employees. The implementation of Balanced Scorecard took place at the 5th Laboratory Centre (LC) of East Attica during the school year 2016-17, after the goals had been set and the measurement indicators had been defined by the school’s administration stuff (School Head, Deputy School Head, Teachers responsible for LC Sectors, Teachers responsible for Direction Laboratories, Teachers Board). The results indicated that the vision, the objectives and the overall strategy of the organization had been clarified and communicated to all customers. The administrative control of the progress of the procedures was more effective and the daily actions were connected with the objectives of the organization. Also it is important that all employees aligned with the organization's long-term strategy, and, furthermore, redesigning the model was possible. In the long term the appropriate background for the ongoing development of the organization and its effectiveness improvement in a constantly changing environment was created.

REVOLUSI MENTAL DALAM MENERAPKAN SISTEM EKONOMI ISLAM

This paper examines the mental revolution in applying the Islamic economics system which is expected to open the horizon of humans’ thought, especially Muslims, so as they are always careful in carrying out all economics activities. The significance embodied in the idea of the mental revolution is the transformation of the ethos, namely the fundamental change in the mentality, the way of thinking, the way of feeling, and the way of believing that is proven in daily behavior and actions. The mistake which occurs in the economics system of this modern era vastly needs a mental revolution to restore the consciousness of economics actors that the world is only an intermediary towards the real life in hereafter so that the economics activities will constantly be performed with good and correct actions dealing with Al-Qur’an and As-Sunnah.

Ubiquitous Event Mining to Enhance Personal Health.

Advances in user interfaces, pattern recognition, and ubiquitous computing continue to pave the way for better navigation towards our health goals. Quantitative methods which can guide us towards our personal health goals will help us optimize our daily life actions, and environmental exposures. Ubiquitous computing is essential for monitoring these factors and actuating timely interventions in all relevant circumstances. We need to combine the events recognized by different ubiquitous systems and derive actionable causal relationships from an event ledger. Understanding of user habits and health should be teleported between applications rather than these systems working in silos, allowing systems to find the optimal guidance medium for required interventions. We propose a method through which applications and devices can enhance the user experience by leveraging event relationships, leading the way to more relevant, useful, and, most importantly, pleasurable health guidance experience.

La inclusión educativa de los escolares con trastorno del espectro de Autismo

This article suggests the implementation of educational activities that favor the preparation of socializing agents in their daily actions for better performance and acceptance of schoolchildren with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). For this, the theoretical analysis of the educational inclusion of school children with this disorder and the difficulties presented by socializing agents as teachers, primary education specialists, managers, family members, peers, neighbors, friends, community leaders in which this scholar lives, for its materialization. With the activities, it is also expected that the socializing agents identify the characteristics of the students with ASD, be able to use appropriate methods and strategies to work with them and achieve their awareness before the schoolchildren with this diagnostic entity.

Nurses' knowledge and deliberations crucial to Barcoded Medication Administration technology in a Dutch hospital: Discovering nurses' agency inside ruling.

This article shows how Barcoded Medication Administration technology institutionally organizes and rules the daily actions of nurses. Although it is widely assumed that Barcoded Medication Administration technology improves quality and safety by reducing the risk of human error, little research has been done on how this technology alters the work of nurses. Drawing on empirical and conceptual strategies of analysis, this qualitative study used certain tools of institutional ethnography to provide a view of how nurses negotiate Barcoded Medication Administration technology. The approach also uses elements from practice theory in order to discern how technology operates as a player on the field instead of being viewed as a 'mere' tool. A literature review preceded participant observation, whereby 17 nurses were followed and data on an orthopaedic ward were collected over a period of 9 months in 2011 and 2012. Barcoded Medication Administration technology relies on nurses' knowledge to mediate between the embedded logics of its design and the unpredictable needs of patients. Nurses negotiate their own professional logic of care in the form of moment-to-moment deliberations which subvert the ruling frame of the barcoded system and its objectified model of patient safety. The logic of Barcoded Medication Administration technology differs from the logic of nursing care, as this technology presumes medication distribution to be linear, even though nurses follow another line of actor-bound safety practices that we characterize as 'deliberations'.

KONSTRUKSI DAN KONTESTASI DONGENG BERNALAR MORAL ANTI KEKERASAN UNTUK ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract: Fairy tale is an effective communication media between children with parents and teachers. Through communication mediated by fairy tale, children get entertainment that gives understanding. Understanding through thinking activities in absorbing values, including the value of anti-violence in language and content of it. For this reason, by carrying out the anti-violence fairy-tale construction of language aspects , means of storytelling, and value, so it will forming the moral reasoning of anti-violence of early childhood. This moral reasoning will then be expressed through children's daily actions. To be able to convey the story of anti-violence effectively in early childhood, the process of fairytale contestation must be done through oral and reading books that are done intensively in the family room by parents, in the school room by the teacher, and in the social space by storytellers.

Pembentukan Karakter Bagi Peserta Didik Sekolah Menengah Atas Dalam Pembelajaran Seni Tari Melalui Model Discovery Learning

Education as a conscious and planned effort in actualizing the study and learning atmosphere in developing the potential. Actualize education in the educational order to produce qualified human resources. Every human being has a character inherent in his daily behavior that is understood as ambitus. A person has a good character when their daily life has good habits. To grow character values and behaviors is not an easy task, it is necessary to apply the characters so that values are embedded and manifested in their daily behavioral actions. High School is one of the educational unit that implements the learning of art and culture that can shape the character of learners through the learning of dance. The research aims to describe the shaping of characters for high school students in the learning of dance through the Discovery Learning model. The research using a qualitative approach. Data sources such as informants, documents, places and events. Data collection techniques using observation, interview, documentation and recording. Data validity techniques using triangulation source and triangulation method. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis model. The results showed that the learning of dance through the Discovery Learning model can form the character of the students. Can be shown at the stage in the model as follows: Stage of stimulus built an attitude of responsibility; The stage of problem identifying formed the attitude of cooperation and responsibility; The stage of collecting data emerging honest and responsible; Stage data processing with the value of cooperation; Stage of verifying and concluding with an attitude of responsible
