The linearization problem of the banana-like polycarbonate chain is solved and two different linear chains are found which differ in the way of alteration of trans and cis configurations. Calculation of neutron scattering from regions with ordered linear and banana-like chains (segments) in various configurations and its comparison with experimental neutron scattering curves excludes the existence of linear chains and of crystalline-like ordering in amorphous polycarbonate.
