Since publication, concerns have been raised regarding unreferenced text overlap within the following sections of the article: Neoliberalism and the AC in international education’, authored by Xiyuan Zhang, and; Chinese internationalism and the BRI’, authored by Hazzan Moses Kayode. The journal considers the article to be a breach of editorial policies in relation to the two sections detailed above and are therefore proceeding with retraction of the article. Xiyuan Zhang and Hazzan Moses Kayode have agreed to the retraction of this article and apologise for this oversight. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
