PERENCANAAN STRATEGIS SISTEM INFORMASI MENGGUNAKAN METODE WARD AND PEPPARD PADA RSUD HUSADA PRIMA

As an innovative and trusted healthcare provider in Surabaya. Information systems (IS) and information technology (IT) play an important role in supporting operations and achieving strategic goals of organizations, including hospitals. RSUD Husada Prima faces challenges in managing patient data, electronic medical records, and financial reports. This study uses the Ward and Peppard method to design strategic IS/IT planning that supports the hospital's vision and mission. The analysis was carried out using tools such as SWOT, PEST, Value Chain, Porter's Five Forces, Critical Success Factors, and McFarlan Strategic Grid. The result is an application portfolio that includes strategic, operational, supporting, and high-potential applications. Technology recommendations include integration of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS), telemedicine services, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI). This implementation aims to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and hospital competitiveness. This study provides a strategic roadmap for RSUD Husada Prima to adopt modern technology and strengthen its position.

The critical success factors for tourism routes development: A systematic review

Tourism routes are partnerships between stakeholders to develop a common tourist product. Limited research exists on factors influencing their overall success, that is, the critical success factors (CSFs). Thus, this systematic review applies the PRISMA protocol with the aim of identifying and discussing these CSFs by addressing the question: ‘Which are the CSFs for tourism routes development?’. The review encompasses 174 studies on tourism routes, published in English, Spanish, and Portuguese languages until October 2022, in the SCOPUS and Web of Science databases. Most of the studied routes are in Europe and focused on the theme of food and drinks at a regional level. Their CSFs are discussed across the categories of Resources, Governance, Activities, and Performance assessment. The results highlight the importance of networking for the long-term success of tourism routes and the need for further research, particularly on issues of governance and performance assessment. This review provides theoretical contributions by identifying CSFs of tourism routes and offers practical suggestions for their establishment and enhancement.

The Case for Public-Private Partnerships in South Africa: Is South Africa Ready?

South Africa’s National Infrastructure Plan 2050 indicates an intention to augment the financial capacity and technical expertise of South Africa’s delivery agencies by engaging in strategic partnerships with the private sector through public-private partnerships (PPPs). The objective of this paper is to identify, measure and critically consider the critical success factors in the South African context necessary for the effective delivery of PPPs. Empirical data collection involved a triangulated case study analysis, a survey to measure contextual factors and in-depth interviews with local infrastructure specialists to review causes and consider solutions. Key findings include a need for PPP capacity building and addressing the lack of political will within the public sector while shifting towards a programmatic procurement and delivery model for infrastructure projects.

Comparative Analysis of Different Drying Methods on Strawberry Aroma Compounds via Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Techniques

Food and food safety, as one of the basic issues of human life, has made it necessary to store foods for a long time with the increasing population. One of the oldest and most common methods of extending the shelf life of food products is the drying process. The drying process contributes to the higher quality of foods in terms of physical, chemical, and microbial properties by ensuring that beneficial contents such as vitamins, minerals, and aroma compounds are better preserved. The aroma values of foods, which consist of taste and smell components, gain importance. In foods, the taste is determined by permanent components, while smell is determined by volatile components. The loss of volatile aroma compounds in the strawberry drying process negatively affects product quality. Small changes in aroma compounds can lead to significant differences in product taste. Therefore, strawberry aroma is a critical factor for consumer appeal and commercial success. In this study, the effects of drying methods on the aroma compounds of strawberry fruit were compared with Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques. In this study, PSI-based MCDM techniques were used to make the most appropriate choice among strawberry drying methods. The values of 23 distinct aroma compounds obtained with different drying methods applied to strawberry fruit were analyzed with 7 different MCDM techniques. The calculations gave similar results and these results were combined with the Borda rule. Accordingly, the drying methods with the highest scores were determined as freeze drying.

Critical success factors for rail infrastructure joint ventures

Due to their myriad socioeconomic and environmental benefits, Joint Ventures (JVs) between construction contractors are considered a highly effective commercial strategy for delivering construction projects. This is especially true in the rail infrastructure industry. While rail infrastructure JVs (RIJVs) between several contractors may not always run smoothly, there have also been cases of successful implementation; nevertheless, the factors contributing to their success have not been comprehensively explored. It is crucial to thoroughly understand the critical success factors (CSFs) for RIJVs, as their success depends on the combination of various key factors during their implementation. This study aims to evaluate the CSFs for RIJVs. Through a comprehensive literature review, 20 CSFs for RIJVs were identified, and an expert survey was conducted with 40 UK-based RIJV professionals. The data were analysed using the relative importance index and Spearman’s rank correlation analysis. The top five perceived CSFs were communication, compatibility of partner objectives, suitable JV partner selection, trust, and effective planning. This suggests the level of importance attached to these CSFs by the professionals working in and managing RIJVs. Spearman’s rank correlation analysis revealed significant interdependencies among CSFs, such as the combination of trust with communication and the intent to learn with the level of participation and involvement, suggesting that these CSFs often go hand in hand. Further analysis of challenges encountered on RIJVs revealed four key themes: information management and IT systems integration, alignment, congruency and synergy, inter-organisational dynamics, and strategic management. Solutions proposed for these challenges also fell into four primary themes: strategic management and leadership, collaboration and communication, risk management and conflict resolution, and operational efficiency and resource optimisation. The findings showed a comprehensive evaluation of CSFs for RIJVs, highlighting pathways to effective JV execution. This study makes a valuable contribution to the existing body of knowledge on RIJV by analysing the CSFs. It also offers practical insights that can enhance the successful implementation of RIJV projects and provide guidance for top team managers in allocating strategic resources to key areas.

Achieving Design-Phase Success in Dam Construction: An Exploration of Project Success Elements Through Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling

ABSTRACT In the current research landscape, there is a lack of a thorough assessment of the elements that influence project performance, particularly in the field of dam projects. Despite extensive research in the discipline of project management, there is a notable scarcity of empirical research focusing on the performance of dam projects. The importance of closing this gap cannot be overstated when considering the enormous economic, sociological, and environmental impacts that are associated with dams. Experts in the Australian dam industry were surveyed to fill this knowledge gap. The purpose of this study is to analyze the success criteria (SC) and critical success factors (CSFs) specific to the design phase of dam projects, thereby providing a comprehensive understanding of the elements that significantly impact project success. Exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were utilized to investigate SC and CSFs in the project’s design phase. The study contributes to the limited research on successful dam projects, offering practitioners valuable insights to enhance project performance and achieve project objectives efficiently.

Enterprise Resource Planning System Implementation Influence on Firms’ Performance: A Systematic Review

The study explores the influence of enterprise resource planning system (ERPS) implementation on firms’ performance the help of changes in management practices, management control system, and critical successes factors (e.g., top management support, training and education, communication and compatibility). Systematic literature review (SLR) was used to evaluate the different papers from Scopus database and 2017 up to 2024 were the year limit for this study. The findings revealed that ERPS has an influence on firm performance and critical factors have relationship between ERPS, changes management practices, and management control system. The study suggested that ERPS model, ERPS consultants and ERPS implementation are more beneficial for firm performance with the help of critical success factors. In conclusion, ERPS model is the good application for better firm performance, and it can benefit to improve the output of the industries in long term sustainability.

Changing times: does the critical success factors boosting green transition of SMEs remain unchanged?

This study aims to conduct a thorough analysis to determine the key elements that contribute to the behavioral intention of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to adopt green transition. The statistical data used in this study were obtained from two rounds of data collected from individuals working in SMEs. This work utilized structural equation modeling to analyze the hypothesized interlinks. The analysis of the results confirmed the positive relationships between key elements in terms of their significance and effect size. The most stable elements of intention of green transition implementation were determined based on the degree of stability of the findings. In addition to expanding our understanding of the advantages of green transition in SMEs, the results of this study can provide guidance to SME leaders on how to improve their efficiency and effectiveness in the process of green transition practices. A more detailed understanding in this research can provide policymakers with the ability to establish laws and regulations for the transition towards sustainability.

Advancing Middle East Construction Sustainability: A Framework for Addressing Logistics Challenges Through Solutions and Critical Success Factors

The Middle Eastern construction industry significantly contributes to regional economic development but faces persistent sustainability challenges due to logistical inefficiencies. This study aims to address the gap in the existing literature, which often treats logistics challenges, solutions, and critical success factors (CSFs) in isolation without offering a unified framework to integrate these elements. By leveraging structural equation modelling (SEM), this research provides a comprehensive approach to understanding and addressing the interconnections between logistics inefficiencies, proposed solutions, and sustainability outcomes. Using SEM, this study identifies and analyses 23 logistics challenges, 18 solutions, and 8 CSFs, revealing their relationships and collective impact on sustainability in the construction sector. SEM’s robust analytical capabilities enable simultaneous testing of complex interdependencies, offering insights that traditional methodologies cannot achieve. The findings emphasise the critical role of lean methodologies, advanced technologies, and collaboration strategies in overcoming inefficiencies, reducing environmental impact, and optimising resource use. This research fills a crucial gap by developing a cohesive framework that integrates logistics challenges, solutions, and CSFs to advance sustainable practices. The outcomes provide actionable guidance for stakeholders to improve sustainability performance while enhancing competitiveness in Middle Eastern construction logistics

Unveiling the path to success: critical factors for success and failure of university startups

This study aims to identify the factors that influence the success and failure of university-incubated startups. A systematic review methodology based on the Methodi Ordinatio framework was employed. The research was conducted on the Science Direct, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, totaling 108 articles. After removing duplicates and articles unrelated to the theme, 43 studies remained. Applying the InOrdinatio equation refined the selection to 30 articles, reaching the saturation point of the research corpus. It was found that the maturity of innovation departments, entrepreneurial culture, intellectual property management, institutional adaptability, entrepreneurship-oriented education, gender equity, and governmental support are essential for the success of these startups. Conversely, the main challenges to failure include legal difficulties, the need to enhance educational and institutional support, restricted access to funding, the absence of mentoring networks, and the importance of aligning universities with the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. It is concluded that the success of university-incubated startups results from a multifactorial set, essentially depending on an integrated innovative ecosystem, institutional and governmental support, and robust entrepreneurial training. At the same time, failure often reflects inadequate funding and mentorship.

The Critical Success Factors of Waqf Land Development for Sustainable Agriculture

Amidst the food security issue worldwide, developing waqf land for agriculture is essential as it could help in preparing sufficient food supply for the nation. In Malaysia, a considerable amount of waqf land is reported undeveloped, unfortunately contravening to the spirit of waqf in generating sustained benefit. In fact, in Islamic finance, waqf is promoted as a social finance instrument with the potentials in creating value for the society and environment, whilst providing financial returns. As the sole trustee of waqf property in the country, the State Islamic Religious Councils (SIRCs) should take all reasonable means to develop the property. Hence, this study analyses the critical success factors (CSF) to develop waqf land for agriculture, that are significant in providing meaningful insights for waqf trustees to plan for a productive and sustainable waqf development. Data was collected via Focused Group Discussion (FGD) attended by experts from the academia and industry. Employing a thematic analysis performed through Atlas ti, findings revealed five factors that are agreed capable in sustaining the benefits of waqf, appreciating the donor while assisting waqf trustees in executing trusts.

An empirical study on logistic service quality, customer satisfaction, and cross-border repurchase intention.

Domestic e-retailers acknowledge logistics service quality (LSQ) as a critical success factor in business excellence. However, exponential growth in cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) requires a re-evaluation of the relationship between LSQ and consumers repurchase intention. By integrating the technology acceptance model, this study investigates the impact of LSQ on repurchase intention based on the LSQ (experience)-satisfaction-repurchase intention consequence chain. Data were collected from 466 Chinese consumers who had engaged in online shopping with international vendors. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was employed to examine the effectiveness of the research model. The results reveal that delivery service quality, return logistics services, and cross-border online shopping experiences significantly influence customer satisfaction. Nevertheless, the relationships between delivery information service, delivery stability, price fairness, and customer satisfaction are not supported. Price fairness, cross-border online shopping experience, and customer satisfaction positively affect cross-border repurchase intentions. Additionally, customer satisfaction mediates the relationships between LSQ, price fairness, cross-border online shopping experience, and repurchase intention. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on the cross-border dimension, introducing additional factors, such as price fairness and cross-border online shopping experiences, including other variables that affect LSQ and customer satisfaction, in contrast to domestic e-commerce. This study contributes to the literature by providing new insights into the complex dynamics of LSQ in CBEC and highlighting the nuanced role of customer satisfaction as a mediator in different market contexts. It offers empirical findings and valuable insights into the multiple dimensions of LSQ and customer satisfaction, thus contributing to the body of knowledge.

Implications of critical success factors for digital transformation in Vietnam using a hybrid neutrosophic analytic hierarchy process

ABSTRACT The digital transformation of Vietnam is a crucial strategic priority for the country’s rapid and sustainable development. This article presents a new method that combines the neutrosophic analytical hierarchy process (NAHP) with the technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) to analyse the impact of critical success factors (CSFs) on digital transformation. The NAHP was employed to ascertain the weights of the criteria, which serve as the most important indications of success in digital transformation. After obtaining the criteria weights, the alternatives were ranked based on their performance relative to the criteria provided by the TOPSIS technique. With the success of digital transformation activities, firms have substantial acceptance of the reliability of technological, organisational, and environmental (TOE) factors. The study investigated several factors, including leadership, organisational culture, technology infrastructure, and customer-centricity. The proposed methodology required evaluation by implementing a practical case study involving TOE critical factors in the Vietnamese digital transformation sector. Several methodologies and multi-criteria approaches have been developed to assess the key factors that contribute to the successful digital transformation of enterprises. The findings highlighted the validity of the hybrid NAHP-TOPSIS methodology in determining CSFs necessary for achieving objectives relevant to digital transformation.

Manajemen Pendidikan Islam Menurut Al-Quran: Analisis dan Implementasi

Islamic education aims to develop human potential both physically and spiritually, so that individuals can carry out their role as servants of Allah and Khalifah on earth. This research highlights that effective management is indispensable for achieving the vision and mission of educational institutions, where good leadership and professional managerial practices are critical success factors. The Quran serves as the primary source that provides comprehensive guidance in the management of education, with particular reference to Surah As-Sajdah which describes God's arrangement of the universe as an example for human beings. Through literature analysis, this research aims to improve understanding of the concept of Islamic education management and develop relevant implementation models in schools. By integrating religious values in managerial practices, it is hoped that educational institutions can produce generations that excel in science and technology while having good morals, making a significant contribution to the progress of Islamic education in the future.

STENTING AS A METHOD OF CHOICE FOR TREATING LEFT MAIN CORONARY ARTERY LESIONS

The aim of this study is to justify the use of stenting as the method of choice for revascularization of left main coronary artery lesions. Materials and methods. A comprehensive analysis of scientific publications and randomized trials was conducted to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of various stenting techniques for left main coronary artery lesions, to optimize treatment strategies for individual patients, to improve clinical outcomes, to reduce complications, and to enhance the quality of life for patients with left main coronary artery disease. Results. The proper selection of stenting techniques for left main coronary artery lesions is a critical factor for procedural success. The choice of intervention should consider the lesion characteristics of both the main trunk and its side branches. To achieve optimal immediate and long-term outcomes, strict adherence to intervention protocols is essential, particularly in patients requiring the initial use of double-stent techniques. It is worth noting that single-stent techniques may sometimes necessitate a switch to double-stent strategies, with the TAP (T and small protrusion) and Culotte techniques being the most accessible transitions. The single-stent technique remains highly effective for patients with simple anatomical lesions. For simple bifurcation lesions, the “T-stenting” and “TAP” techniques are selectively utilized. Comparative analysis reveals a higher rate of thrombosis with the Culotte technique compared to the DK Crush technique. A critical prerequisite for successful stenting of the left main coronary artery is the use of intravascular imaging, as it ensures precise selection of equipment and reduces the risk of long-term restenosis in the stented segment. Conclusions. The right choice of stenting technique for the left main coronary artery is a key factor in the success of the procedure. Modern technologies and two-stent strategies enable effective treatment of complex lesions, minimizing the risks to the patient.

Determination of ISO Smartness, Sustainability, and Resilience City Indices for 81 Turkish Provinces, and Visualization of Their Maps

New mobile and digital technologies have begun to integrate with digital objects and enable cities to transform into Digital Transformation or Smart Cities. However, it is necessary to first measure at what stage this level of intelligence is. Therefore, to measure the sustainability and durability of digitalized cities as well as their smartness, "calculating the smartness, sustainability, and durability indices of cities through ISO Critical Success Factors (CSF) and indicator data ", has been determined as the aim of this research. In this research, ISO CSFs and indicators were used to ensure global comparison of cities. ISO's 20 CSFs, which are used in many index studies, were used in the research. Different numbers of indicator values determined by ISO in different areas are primarily collected from Turkish municipalities and Turkish statistical institutions such as TUIK, BTK, SGK, MEB, TIM, TOBB, SB, CSB, etc. Sustainability, smartness, and durability index rankings and their City Maps were prepared based on CSFs from the collected data. Different ISO City Indices have been determined with the areas on these maps. This research is the first research conducted in Turkey using ISO indicators.

Critical success factors for implementing a smart IoT-based decision framework in the water industry

ABSTRACT The decentralized nature of information and the widespread use of mobile devices for accessing content make the water sector an excellent platform for using the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm to streamline procedures, benchmark standards, and create a sustainable environment. Smart devices play an essential role in deploying digital solutions through IoT. They help connect the physical world with the digital universe and are regarded as fundamental entities within a network-integrated through IoT. The study provides a better understanding to assess the critical success factors (CSFs) for smart device implementation in the water sector. The factors are obtained from the literature and shortlisted with the help of experts using the Delphi method. Kappa statistics are used to further validate the experts' consensus. The significant factors identified were leadership, usability, cost of implementation, technology awareness, data privacy, interoperability and community partnership. Mental modeler software has been used to construct a fuzzy logic cognitive mapping of CSFs to represent causal reasoning in diagraphs. Scenario analysis was conducted for each CSF. The study provides recommendations for policymakers to develop precise strategies for integrating IoT in the water industry.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN TRANSFORMING HRM PROCESSES WITHIN ORGANIZATIONS

In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, continuous technological advancements are reshaping organisational dynamics and employee interactions. This study examines the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled technologies for transforming Human Resource Management (HRM) processes within organisations. We conducted a systematic literature review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework, analysing 57 papers out of 238 sourced from the Scopus database. Our findings highlight AI’s significant research focus in recruitment and performance management, with additional applications in learning and development, and reward and recognition management. Drawing from the literature review and building on technology adoption models, we develop a framework to promote AI integration in HRM. We discuss how AI can improve core HR functions and outline critical success factors for its effective implementation.
