INTERACTIVE LEARNING VIA DIGITAL STORYTELLING IN ELT AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL : SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract: In 4.0 era, digitalization in ELT at elementary school can be a complex learning tool. As we know that ICT facilitated and expanded access to education. One of the media using ICT in ELT is DS (Digital Storytelling). DS (Digital Storytelling) that is a story which narrate by using the digital multimedia such as: the video and the image. This study aims to analyse interactive learning via DS (Digital Storytelling) in ELT at elementary school. To understand kinds of the research studies that related to DS (Digital Storytelling), the writer used SLR (Systematic Literature Review) The research found through Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, Pubmed, and Crossref from 2020-2023. This study executed in accordance 6 research articles consists of National Journal and International Journal. The result of this study showed that qualitative method research was the most popular research design. The result of this study that has been carried out that there are advantages applying DS (Digital Story telling) in interactive learning in ELT at the elementary school such as : it can improve the speaking skill, writing skill, reading skill, and listening skill, it can improve the students’ motivate and the students’ engagement, it can increase the levels of the students’ interactions and the students’ collaboration, it can improve the students’ collaboration, the students’ creativity skills, the students’ critical thinking. The innovation is needed to help teacher improve the quality of learning in elementary school. It promotes better understanding for the content and curricula for the educators. The Influence of Creative Problem-Solving on the Longevity of Small and Medium Enterprises

This research modeled the influence of critical thinking, creative thinking, organizational innovativeness, creative problem-solving abilities (CPS), and internal business performance factors on the longevity of small and medium enterprises. A total of 105 manufacturing and 99 construction small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were compared using a survey. Inferences were drawn using structural equation modeling. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed that latent variables within the creative problem-solving model overall demonstrated moderate ability to predict longevity. However, the creative problem-solving structural equation models for both sectors showed that creative thinking strongly increased critical thinking, which increased SMEs’ longevity. For the manufacturing sample, creative thinking also increased organizational innovation, which increased longevity. The stronger manufacturing sector also demonstrated more significant paths and larger beta coefficients overall. Respecifying the structural model by introducing the business performance measure increased the size of the model coefficients. Creative problem solving, however, only exerted a weak direct influence on longevity for both sectors. Creative thinking skills strengthened critical thinking, which in turn increased the longevity of SMEs. More emphasis on creative thinking could also improve innovation skills and longevity. Better creative thinking could also improve creative problem solving. Optimizing business performance factors (sales growth, after-tax return on assets, profits after tax, market share, liquidity, customer loyalty, and image) appeared necessary for this process to be most effective. SME managers need creative thinking, critical thinking, innovative thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities. Identifying such creative problem-solving skills and leveraging them can enhance the competitive performance and longevity of individual SMEs.

Beyond Textbook Cases- Exploring the Pedagogical Utility of Medical Analogy and Metaphor in Learning and Teaching Strategic Management

Students of strategic management are often inundated with a plethora of analytical tools from which they must chose a select few to help them to effectively analyse the forces impacting the sustainable competitiveness of an organisation. Choosing the right tool(s) can be daunting, yet crucial for understanding organizational challenges and crafting relevant and effective strategic solutions. This desk research study explores the utility of analogies and metaphors as pedagogical tools to prepare students to become adept in strategic analysis. Aristotle likened metaphors to puzzles, suggesting that, like puzzles, metaphors engage us in figuring out how one thing resembles another. It is during this active participation and interpreting that makes analogies and metaphors effective in making complex strategy concepts more relatable to students. Through the process of analogical encoding, this conceptual study argues that the medical analogy holds promise for effective scaffolding of students’ learning, demystifying abstracts and making them more relatable in addition to structuring thinking across domains as well as promoting critical thinking, decision-making, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills - key 21st century skills sought by industry. By leveraging familiar medical analogies, teachers or educators can promote learner-centred authentic learning, simultaneously enhancing the students’ learning experience.

Impaction of Artificial Intelligence on the Labor Market

This paper examines the impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the labor market, specifically highlighting job displacement and the consequential effects of AI technologies. It analyzes the decline in job opportunities due to the emergence of automated technologies and the challenges faced by workers as a result. With AI becoming increasingly adept at basic programming and analysis, some tasks such as bank teller, drawer, factory worker, and cashier are no longer suitable for humans due to the relatively high efficiency of AI. People should take roles that require emotional support, creativity, and uniquely human capabilities. These roles will show intuition, wisdom, empathy, creativity, and social sensitivity. The paper underscores the development of artificial intelligence and emphasizes the importance of cultivating creative skills that can be utilized with AI rather than competing against it and talks about the impact on the students prospects which leads them to make different choices on their future.

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal lingkaran ditinjau dari habits of mind

Mathematical creative thinking ability is a student's ability to create or find new ideas in solving a problem. Everyone must have the ability to think creatively, especially students. The ability to think creatively plays an important role in the progress of every student. However, in reality, many students are not able to solve a problem using their creative thinking skills. This is possible because students do not get used to thinking (habits of mind). This research aims to determine students' mathematical creative thinking abilities in solving circle problems in terms of habits of mind. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study type of research. There are three data collection techniques used, namely: tests, questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that 6 subjects who had high habits of mind were able to show all indicators of mathematical creative thinking ability, 12 subjects who had moderate habits of mind were able to show three indicators of mathematical creative thinking ability and 3 subjects who had low habits of mind were only able to show one indicator of mathematical creative thinking ability. So, habits of mind have an impact on students' mathematical creative thinking abilities.

Efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis sparkol videoscribe terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa smp muhammadiyah kupang

This comparative experiment with a quantitative approach study aimed to know the effectiveness of using Sparkol VideoScribe based learning media on the students’ creative thinking ability of Muhammadiyah Kupang Junior High School. The population were all seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Kupang, while the samples were class VIIA as the control class and class VIIC as the experimental class. The cluster random sampling technique was used in this study. The data were analyzed based on the test results and using SPSS 23 software. The researcher also examined the hypothesis using the results of t test. The tcount value was 6.768 and the ttable for df 38 was 2.024, then 6.768> 2.024. So that, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The hypothesis test at the 0.05 level with the t value df 38 obtained a sig value of 0.000 <0.05, then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there was an effect of using Sparkol VideoScribe-based learning media on the students' creative thinking skills.

Analisis Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Hots Pada Materi Laju Reaksi

This research aims to determine the achievement of aspects of students' creative thinking skills and the data collection technique for this research uses an essay test with 4 questions, this research is qualitative research, the sample in this research is 100 students of class XI-IPA. The results of the research show that students' creative thinking skills as a whole fall into the quite creative category with an average total percentage of 60%. With the level of students' creative thinking skills in solving High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions on the reaction rate material in the fluency aspect of 58% in the quite creative category, in the flexibility aspect it was 53% in the quite creative category, in the originality aspect it was 70% in the quite good category, and the level of students' creative thinking skills in the elaboration aspect was 59% in the quite creative category.

Application of Contextual Teaching and Learning Model to Improve Disposition and Creative Thinking Skills of High School Students

Facing the challenges of the 21st century, learning must be able to produce learners into creative individuals to solve problems. The ability to think creatively is closely related to a person's character or creative habits; good character can trigger good skills. This study aims to determine how applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model improves students' creative disposition and creative thinking skills. The method in the form of Quasi-Experimental Design uses Pre-test and post-test control Group Design on as many as 64 X students at one of Aikmel State High Schools, NTB. The 32-person experimental class used the CTL model of the guided inquiry method, and the 32-person control class of the discussion method. Data on students' creative dispositions were collected using creative disposition questionnaires given before and after good treatment in both groups. Data on students' creative thinking skills were collected with a creative thinking skills test developed referring to the Torrance Creative test. The data were obtained and analyzed using the t-test to determine the comparison of the two classes and the N-gain test to see the improvement in each class. The results showed significant differences in creative disposition and creative thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class. Increased creative disposition in the experimental class with an N-gain of 0.45 means an increase in the medium category and an N-gain of 0.08 in the control class, which means an increase in the low category. Meanwhile, the creative thinking skills of experimental class students amounted to an N-gain of 0.48, which means there was an increase in the medium category, and an N-gain of 0.05 in the control class, which means there was an increase in low theory. This study concludes that applying the CTL model can improve creative disposition and thinking skills.

The Effect of Bilingualism on Children's Creative Thinking of Cognitive Functioning: Evidence from Chinese Native Speaker

This essay investigates the impact of bilingualism, specifically learning English as a second language, on the creative thinking of Chinese-speaking children. Bilingualism's influence on cognitive functioning, particularly creative thinking, has been widely debated, with studies showing varying results. The study includes Chinese monolinguals and Chinese-English bilinguals from different age groups, with the aim of exploring potential differences in creative thinking between the two groups. To assess creative thinking, a battery of standardized creativity tests adapted to the Chinese language and culture is used, including linguistic, figural, and ideational tasks. The results are analyzed using a mixed-method approach, considering the effects of bilingualism, age-related changes, and task-specific differences. Expected outcomes may include identifying a bilingual advantage in certain aspects of creative thinking, age-related variations in creative thinking skills, and task-specific disparities. This research provides insights into the complex relationship between bilingualism, cognitive functioning, and creative thinking, particularly within the context of Chinese-speaking children. The findings have implications for educational practices, curriculum development, and language learning strategies, highlighting the importance of considering language and culture when studying the impact of bilingualism on cognitive functioning and creative thinking. This study emphasizes the significance of investigating the effects of specific language pairs on cognition and creative thinking, shedding light on the potential advantages and challenges associated with bilingualism.

Integration of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project with Design Thinking in the Merdeka Curriculum: Stimulating Students' Creative Thinking Skills

AbstractIn the context of the 21st-century society, creative thinking skills stand out as pivotal competencies. Nevertheless, many countries, Indonesia included, grapple with a crisis in nurturing these skills among students. This research addresses this challenge by integrating the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project with Design Thinking (DT) methodologies. Fifty-four fifth-grade students from a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Pacitan, East Java, Indonesia, participated in this study, which employed a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Qualitative data were gathered through interviews and observations, while quantitative data were collected through tests assessing creative thinking skills, specifically Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, and Elaboration. Guided by the five stages of DT—Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—the integration of P5 with DT facilitated the development of students' original ideas and the creation of problem-solving products tailored to meet community needs. The findings underscore the significant efficacy of this integrated approach in enhancing students' creative thinking skills, particularly evident in marked improvements in originality and elaboration. This study contributes valuable insights for elevating critical thinking abilities among elementary school and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students through DT methodologies.AbstrakDalam konteks masyarakat abad ke-21, keterampilan berpikir kreatif menonjol sebagai kompetensi yang sangat penting. Namun, banyak negara, termasuk Indonesia, menghadapi krisis dalam mengembangkan keterampilan ini di kalangan siswa. Penelitian ini mengatasi tantangan tersebut dengan mengintegrasikan Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila dengan metodologi Design Thinking (DT). Penelitian ini melibatkan lima puluh empat siswa kelas lima dari Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Pacitan, Jawa Timur, Indonesia, dengan menggunakan pendekatan campuran yang menggabungkan teknik kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi, sedangkan data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui tes yang menilai keterampilan berpikir kreatif, khususnya Kelancaran, Fleksibilitas, Orisinalitas, dan Elaborasi. Dipandu oleh lima tahap DT—Empati, Definisi, Ideasi, Prototipe, dan Uji—integrasi P5 dengan DT memfasilitasi pengembangan ide orisinal siswa dan penciptaan produk pemecahan masalah yang disesuaikan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Temuan ini menegaskan efektivitas signifikan dari pendekatan terintegrasi ini dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa, terutama terlihat dalam peningkatan yang signifikan dalam orisinalitas dan elaborasi. Studi ini memberikan wawasan berharga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah melalui metodologi DT.

STUDENTS' CREATIVE THINKING ABILITY PROFILE IN MATHEMATICS LESSONS OF RIAU PROVINCE

This study aims to describe students' creative thinking skills in mathematics. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research. The population in this study were junior high school level students in Bengkalis Regency, Riau while the sample was 59 students in the Bathin Solapan District and 50 students from the Bandar Laksamana sub-district. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling. The data collection technique in this study was a survey using a questionnaire instrument. Before the instrument is used, the instrument in the form of a questionnaire is validated in terms of content and construct. In terms of content, validity analysis uses the Aiken formula and CFA First Order, while construct validity uses CFA Second Order. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics. The results obtained from the analysis of students' creative thinking abilities in mathematics at the junior high school level show that the indicators of Elaboration, Flexibility, Originality, and Fluency in students' creative thinking abilities, obtain a good category percentage of 22.02% and a bad category of 77.98% .

Technologies in Teaching and Learning at Fine Art Studios

Creativity is the essence of the arts, and it is the place where students interact to apply knowledge and create artworks and innovative designs in fine art studios. Arts and technology are to create creativity. Hence, the research demonstrates that the strategies and results of using technology have had a significant impact on the fields of art, design, and education. The experience can be inspiring and magical for students when art and technology combine to create complementary elements. The research follows a descriptive-analytical approach in analyzing the elements of creating a richer educational environment using technology in fine arts studios. Besides, the research sets out methodologies and rules for technology that can transform the spaces of the artistic studio in the digital age into stimulating environments. Therefore, this leads to transforming the learning environment into a creative environment full of excitement and curiosity to motivate students and increase academic achievement. In conclusion, the research concluded that artistic creativity comes from generating, visualizing, organizing, and developing ideas and artistic works to design artistic studio spaces that enhance technology to develop students’ creative skills.

English A cross cultural investigation on Smart Home Technology:

Some individuals may feel threatened by the digital age and suffer from technophobia, whereas technophilic individuals embrace new technologies. Relying on a study of 243 participants aged 18-65, this study explored the roles of technophobia, technophilia, trust in technology, and digital competence, and how they interact within the SHT paradigm. Technophobia positively correlated with age and negatively with ownership and most digital skills. Males outscored females in overall competence, especially in creative digital skills and technophilia. Spanish participants scored higher than English participants on operational digital skills, creative digital skills, and technophilia-dependency. A hierarchical regression model with technophobia as the dependent variable showed that operational, navigational, and mobile digital skills contributed negatively to technophobia. Technophilia-enthusiasm negatively predicted technophobia, whereas technophilia-reputation did so positively. Culture and gender were not significant predictors of technophobia in this context. There is a need to provide digital skills for all sections of society to increase self-efficacy and counterbalance any feelings of anxiety and technophobia that may manifest in individuals who feel left behind in the modern digital world. The onus is for SHT manufacturers to design products that require basic digital skills and are custom-made for different populations cohorts within society.

팀 빌딩 비주얼 싱킹을 활용한 현대 소설 수업이 고등학교 남학생의 국어 수업에 미치는 영향

Objectives The purpose of this study is as follows. First, what perceptions do learners have about Korean language (modern novel) classes? Second, what are the responses of learners who have used team building visual thinking in all modern novel classes? Third, what is the effect of modern novel classes using team building visual thinking on learners' interest, confidence, attitude, and anxiety? The purpose of this study was to empirically verify the ef-fect on Korean language classes through the experience of modern novel classes using team building visual sink-ing for students in five classes in the second year of Y High School in Seoul. Methods The class was conducted for second-year students at Y High School in Seoul, data was collected through worksheets and questionnaires to analyze the results. The questionnaires were divided into a pre-test and a post-test after review by experts (one Korean language professor and two doctors of education), and a survey was conducted to examine the students' reactions to modern novel classes using team building visual thinking. The survey results were analyzed with descriptive statistics using SPSS 28.0, and open-ended questions and worksheets were analyzed. Results Team building visual thinking classes provided an opportunity for learners, who deeply understood the work, to express their thoughts and impressions visually and then communicate and share their opinions with oth-er learners. This enhanced learners' understanding of the novel while improving their creative thinking, expression skills, and teamwork skills. In addition, team building visual thinking was effective in increasing their learning mo-tivation, thereby making the classes more active. Conclusions Team building visual thinking classes helped build a collaborative learning environment through ac-tivities that team members do together, from idea visualization to idea sharing and feedback. This served as an opportunity to lay the foundation for teaching and learning that can actively respond to changes in education: digi-tal transformation. In particular, this study is significant in that it is a new attempt to utilize team building visual thinking in modern novel classes according to the 2022 Revised National Curriculum.

Fostering Peer Evaluation and Cognitive, Affective, and Psychomotor (CAP) Domains in School Level Science Education: A Critical Reflection on the STEAM Approach

In this study, the implementation of a STEAM project was critically examined, with constructivist grounded principles utilized to inform the perspective of both a learner and a STEAM practitioner. A comprehensive project plan was devised that incorporated CAP domains through the integration of the STEAM praxis with peer and self-assessment strategies for school-level science education. This innovative approach, aimed at nurturing the aesthetic value in arts and the evaluation process, led to the creation of a unique methodology for assessing students’ cognitive and psychomotor skills. The framework for accessing students’ peer/self-evaluation via meticulously designed rubrics is further highlighted. The implementation of a project plan proved to be an interactive and insightful process, fostering a profound understanding of students’ concerns and interests. This study underscores the transformative potential of the STEAM approach in educational settings, highlighting its role in promoting critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students.

ELEVATING LEARNING: DEVELOPING HOTS CHALLENGES FOR SENIOR STUDENTS AT SMK PUI Cikijing

This study aims to develop Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions for Class XII Indonesian at SMK PUI Cikijing based on four HOTS criteria: the Operational Verb (KKO) aspect, critical thinking skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving. The research method used in this study is Research and Development (RD). The development model employed is the 4D model, limited to development only. Hence, the development stage begins with defining (analyzing Indonesian HOTS questions), designing (formulating HOTS questions based on the analysis of HOTS items regarding KKO aspects, critical thinking skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving), and developing (creating HOTS questions based on the analysis of HOTS questions in terms of KKO aspects, critical thinking skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving). Based on the analysis of the profile of Indonesian HOTS questions for Class XII at SMK PUI Cikijing, it is found that they are lacking in fulfilling the criteria for HOTS questions. Only 6% or 2 items are identified as HOTS questions, 30% or 9 questions need improvement, and 63% or 19 questions do not meet the HOTS criteria. Thus, there is a need to design HOTS questions based on the analysis of the HOTS item profile conducted in the defining stage. Subsequently, Low-Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) questions are transformed into HOTS questions based on four HOTS criteria: the Operational Verb (KKO) aspects, including C4 (analyzing) and C5 (evaluating) cognitive domains, critical thinking skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving.Keywords: development of HOTS questions, HOTS criteria, KKO, critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, problem-solving skills.

Strategi Menumbuhkan Kreativitas dan Keterampilan Kewirausahaan Anak melalui Kegiatan Bermain di Sekolah Dasar

Creativity and entrepreneurial skills are important aspects in developing individuals who are able to face future challenges resiliently. This research aims to identify and analyze effective strategies in fostering children's creativity and entrepreneurial skills through play activities in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative method, where the approach is through a systematic literature review (SLR) to explore the best way to understand the essence of entrepreneurship education for prospective teachers and observe the implementation of this strategy in several elementary schools. The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research on a topic area of interest, with specific relevant research questions. The findings show that a structured and directed play approach can be an effective means of developing children's creativity and entrepreneurial skills. The implications of this research provide a better understanding of the importance of integrating play activities in the elementary school curriculum to strengthen aspects of creativity and entrepreneurship in children.

A Proposed Educational Program Based on Project-Based Learning (PBL) for Teaching Home Economics and its Impact on Developing Creative Thinking and Problem-solving Skills of Third-grade Intermediate Female Students

This study examined the effectiveness of using project-based learning (PBL) for the teaching of home economics and determine its impact on the development of students’ creative thinking and problem-solving skills. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the quasi-experimental approach. Pre- and post-intervention tests were conducted with two (experimental and control) groups of third-grade intermediate female students. Two tests were administered: one to test the students’ creative thinking skills, and the other to test their problem-solving skills. The control group were taught a home economics unit by conventional teaching methods; the experimental group were taught using the PBL approach. The following materials and tools have been prepared by the researchers: a proposed educational program based on project-based learning (PBL), a test of creative thinking skills, and a test of problem-solving skills. The findings revealed that there were statistical differences (0.05) between the mean scores for the pre-PBL and post-PBL tests, indicating that PBL significantly improved the students’ creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Several recommendations and suggestions are offered based on the findings.

Entrepreneurial Creative Thinking and Venture Performance: Reviewing the Influence of Psychomotor Education on the Profitability of Small and Medium Scale Firms in Port Harcourt Metropolis

The significance of small and medium enterprises to an economic development of a country cannot be overemphasized. The growth of a business depends on the development of abilities needed to execute a smooth running of day business activities. Research has established the fact that fast economic growth of regions lies on the extent of trade activities in the area. Given this established importance of enterprise, this present study aims at empirically developing the relationship between entrepreneurial creative thinking and venture performance with specific reference to small and medium scale firms in Port Harcourt metropolis. Descriptive survey design was adopted and primary data were used. The data collected were analyzed using mean, aggregate mean, and Spearman rank correlation with the aid of statistical package for social sciences, version 25. Findings shows that there is a significant and positive relationship between psychomotor education (our proxy for creative thinking) and profitability, as indicated by p-value of at 0.05 level of significance. We conclude that entrepreneurial creative thinking is an ingredient that managers of small and medium enterprises deploy to achieve maximum profit. Based on the empirical findings and conclusion, we recommend that there should be a need for policymakers to consider developing small and medium enterprises, not only through the provision of social amenities but also development of public agenda for the acknowledgement of creative thinking, skill development, and prioritization of skills improvement for both expert and non-expert business owners.
