Pendampingan Penyusunan Rencana Usaha bagi Siswa SMKN 1 Rasau Jaya

Emerging entrepreneurial interest in Vocational High School students is seen as strategic to prepare future generations who are productive and characterized and able to work in industry, continue their studies, or become creative entrepreneurs. Vocational students who will be entrepreneurs are required to understand financial literacy to have the ability and competence to manage business finances. This community service activity aims to provide training in preparing business plans for students of SMKN 1 Rasau Jaya Rasau Jaya District, Kubu Raya Regency. The implementation of community service follows the preparation, socialization, technology dissemination, evaluation, and reporting stages. The activity of community service was carried out from April to October 2023. In addition to implementing activities, the results of data analysis obtained that 11th-grade students of SMKN 1 Rasau Jaya are interested in entrepreneurs in agriculture and developing agribusiness in Rasau Jaya District. Teachers can encourage interest in entrepreneurship in agriculture among SMKN 1 Rasau Jaya students by inviting successful agribusiness entrepreneurs to disseminate their experiences and motivate students, facilitating students to access resources and funding, and providing students with opportunities for training, demonstrations, and hands-on practice at successful companies/entrepreneurs, collaborating with stakeholders for students to participate in agribusiness competitions and receive recognition for students' innovative ideas, and strengthening the entrepreneurship learning curriculum.

Creative Entrepreneurs: Dual Identities, Multiple Needs

This research explores the lived experiences of entrepreneurs from the creative industries, focusing on their interactions with support agencies. We examine the support that creative entrepreneurs use to assist them in achieving financially stable, sustainable, and personally fulfilling careers. The research involved an extensive literature review, followed by interviews with selected creative entrepreneurs and representatives from support agencies. The analytical framework was a qualitative approach using an interpretive philosophy, exploring the lived experience of the creative entrepreneur. The data were analysed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal the presence of dual identities: the creative and the entrepreneur. Funding and support are aimed at entrepreneurs who are focused on high turnover and employment creation. This is often in contrast to the motivations and ambitions of the creative entrepreneur. This research enhances the existing literature on entrepreneurship, the creative industries, and entrepreneurial support structures. It informs best practices in the design of support to creative entrepreneurs and is of use to entrepreneurs, support agencies, sponsors and academics.

Peerdea: Co-Designing a Peer Support Platform with Creative Entrepreneurs

Creative entrepreneurs rely on online platforms to build community and overcome isolated work conditions. However, because of frequent attempts by larger brands to use their work without permission, creative entrepreneurs constrain their use of social platforms to safeguard their intellectual property. In this paper, we describe a multi-year partnership with a feminist makerspace to build a social platform, called Peerdea, that centered creative entrepreneurs' needs such that online feedback, information exchange, goal setting, and accountability were more readily available to them. Through an iterative, community-collaborative approach with 46 creative entrepreneurs, we report on the kinds of peer support entrepreneurs sought on Peerdea such as feedback on in-progress and unpolished work. We argue that by aligning Peerdea's design with the makerspace's community of practice, Peerdea leveraged the relationship and trust building that occurs more readily in person for entrepreneurs. In addition, we highlight the role of a community leader who actively managed the relationships between researchers and entrepreneurs, surfaced research failures and championed successes, and provided critical mediation for co-design when participants' livelihoods were implicated.

The Creative Industries’ Role in Low-Density Territories’ Sustainability: The Douro Region

The main objective of this study is to understand the role of creative industries in the sustainability of low-density territories. Primary data were gathered from semi-structured interviews’ transcripts. The interviews were applied to five creative entrepreneurs and heads of companies belonging to the creative industries, and four heads of local institutions, namely a university, two municipalities and a business incubator. The data were processed using NVivo software. The results obtained show that creative industries can be a solution to the problems identified in low-density territories, since creative companies reduce the unemployment rate and increase the population, thus reversing the depopulation of these territories. Creative industries also value local resources and the development of the local economy, thus enabling the emergence of innovation. This research’s findings include evidence of creative industries’ significant impact on low-density regions. In addition, this study demonstrates information and evidence on the role of creativity and this sector of creative companies, as well as the influence shown by creative entrepreneurs in the development of the region. The main limitations of this study are related, on the one hand, to the subjectivity of qualitative studies, due to the fact that the results can be interpreted in several ways. On the other hand, because only one territory was studied.

Unveiling Entrepreneurial Learning Dynamics: Insights from the Women Entrepreneurs of Creative Industries

Purpose –This research aims to explore social learning aspects of entrepreneurial learning within the creative industries. The creative industries produce customised products, where creative entrepreneurs co-create goods according to the customer’s preferences. The entrepreneurial learning literature includes empirical and theoretical studies from different industry sectors. However, little attention is evident in the entrepreneurship research from the creative industries. The limited literature on entrepreneurial learning in the creative industries indicates that creative industries entrepreneurs rarely pursue formal education to enhance their skills and knowledge. Instead, their business learning is deeply rooted in the social, cultural, and economic contexts of the real world in which they are situated. These brief findings demand an in-depth exploration of entrepreneurial learning processes and sources within the creative industries context. Design/methodology/approach – This empirical study is based on qualitative research, employing in-depth case studies of creative industries entrepreneurs. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews with women entrepreneurs who work as designers in the creative industries. To analyze the data, a cross-case comparison was conducted, along with the use of grounded theory techniques. Findings – The findings highlight that entrepreneurial learning is a dynamic process where the interaction of personal and social experiences of entrepreneurs during their entrepreneurial journey is of utmost importance. This learning process involves activities such as observing, practices, doing, trial and error, and constant interaction with the entrepreneurial community. Furthermore, understanding the learning process relies largely on the contextual environment. Creative industries’ entrepreneurs employ the variety of sources for learning, out of which personal networks (family, friends, etc.) and technological resources (internet, software) are vital. Social media also plays a significant role in their learning process, as it serves as a valuable source of information and learning. Implications – The study improves our understanding of how women entrepreneurs engage in entrepreneurial learning within a specific industry and social context. Furthermore, the research identifies the challenges that are critical to address through entrepreneurship education and support organizations – that cater to community entrepreneurs. Originality/value – The literature has acknowledged the strong influence of cultural and social context on women entrepreneurs, particularly in developing countries. This research contributes to the limited body of knowledge on entrepreneurial learning among women creative entrepreneurs by exploring the interplay between personal and social learning experiences along with multiple contextual forces.

The Impact of Creative Content on Digital Marketing Effectiveness: A Comprehensive Analysis

Digital marketing has become one of the most sought-after mediums by the general public and businesses today. This marketing method allows for an expanded market reach, faster communication, and ease in transaction processes. This research aims to investigate and describe the relationship between the level of creativity in a company's digital marketing strategy and its success in achieving marketing goals, such as increased website traffic, customer conversions, or product sales. This study adopts a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews with respondents as the primary method. A literature review is also used to obtain theoretical or secondary data in this research. The literature review involves researching books, literature, and official documents relevant to the research topic. The research results indicate that creativity in digital marketing plays a crucial role in achieving marketing success. Entrepreneurs must possess entrepreneurial creativity that enables them to create or modify new ideas in running their businesses. The steps in digital marketing assist companies in promoting and marketing their products or services more effectively. Another advantage is the ability to convey information to consumers more rapidly and efficiently regarding geographical reach and communication methods. This research has significant implications for companies looking to enhance their digital marketing performance. Companies can develop more effective approaches to achieve their marketing objectives by understanding the importance of creativity in digital marketing strategies. Additionally, the results of this research can serve as a foundation for further studies in this field and contribute to a better understanding of the role of creativity in digital marketing success.

Quality adjusted financial development and the Entrepreneurship-Growth Nexus

ABSTRACT The relationship between new business formation and economic growth can be supported by financial development. However, we argue that not all finance can spur entrepreneurial activity and that the quality of finance matters. Using data from 78 economies from 2006 to 2020, we estimate a dynamic growth model that accounts for potential endogeneity and simultaneity issues and an interaction term that captures the dynamic effects between entrepreneurial creation and quality-adjusted financial measures. We find some evidence that quality-adjusted measures of private credit that accounts for volatility and liquidity can moderate the relationship between entrepreneurship and economic growth. However, we also find that higher levels of quality-adjusted finance can crowd out the growth effects of new business formation, in line with the ‘too much finance’ view. Policy implications are discussed.

Understanding Creative Entrepreneurs’ Work Practices: The Varying Conversation between Artistic and Economic Rationales

Research on creative organizations often questions how artistic practices can be squared within the rational decision-making of economic thinking. This paper examines how the relational language, or conversation, between artistic and economic rationales unfolds for creative entrepreneurs. Through ethnographic work with a designer-entrepreneur, this paper presents a fine-grained analysis of the conversation the designer cultivates between artistic and economic rationales through work practices. We contribute to the literature about artistic and economic rationales at work, and more specifically to the concept of conversation. First, we show that high levels of conversing make way for low levels of conversing and vice versa. In the studio, the designer’s engagement with either rationale varies as the creative process progresses. Second, on a more global dynamic, we demonstrate the conversation is continuous. It relies on its variations, which ensure the balance between rationales in the long run. We also contribute to the field of creative entrepreneurship research. We identify here one type of creative entrepreneur, with what we call a ‘small is beautiful’ attitude. Far from the mythical figure of the entrepreneur, this unconventional entrepreneur aims for sustainable use of creative resources rather than growth at all costs.

PENGEMBANGAN EKONOMI LOKAL MELALUI KEWIRAUSAHAAN KREATIF

Local economic development through creative entrepreneurship is the main focus of various efforts to improve community welfare at the local level. The aim of this service is to encourage local economic growth by utilising the potential of creativity and innovation owned by local communities. Through a participatory approach, the goal is realised by involving various stakeholders, ranging from local businesses to local government, in the process of strategy development and programme implementation. The service method used involves community education and training to understand the characteristics of the local economy and evaluate the potential and obstacles in the development of creative entrepreneurship. In addition, training and mentoring to prospective entrepreneurs as well as networking and promotion of local products to improve market access were also conducted. The results of the service showed that creative entrepreneurship is able to make a significant contribution in increasing the income and welfare of local communities. With the support of various parties, an environment conducive to the growth of creative businesses at the local level was created. In addition, there is also an increased awareness of the importance of preserving local culture and the environment through sustainable business practices. However, achieving sustainable success requires strong commitment and co-operation between various stakeholders, as well as policies and regulations that support the development of creative entrepreneurship at the local level.

Exploring the Effectiveness of E-Learning in Fostering Innovation and Creative Entrepreneurship in Higher Education

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of implementing E-Learning in increasing innovation and creativepreneur skills of students in higher education. By focusing on the digital learning environment, this research wants to identify the impact of using E-Learning platforms on the development of students' creative and entrepreneurial ideas. The research method involves collecting quantitative data through online surveys and qualitative through in-depth interviews with students and lecturers. The data is then analyzed to measure the level of effectiveness of E-Learning in providing support for innovation and creativepreneurship skills. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide new insight into the potential of E-Learning in increasing students' creativity and entrepreneurial spirit in the digital era. It is hoped that the conclusions of this research can provide a basis for developing more effective online learning strategies in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education.

Empowering the residents of Aptrans Batujajar in training in dairy and meat product to support business independence

Milk and meat are animal food sources that are rich in important nutrients for the health of the human body. However, because they are included in the perishable foods category, these two food ingredients are vulnerable to contamination and damage. Therefore, further processing is needed to increase the nutritional value and extend the shelf life of processed products. This community service program aims to transfer knowledge and skills in processing milk (yogurt) and meat (sausages) to partner communities, namely the residents of Aptrans Batujajar. Through training and mentoring, the main goal is to increase public awareness and creativity in processing dairy and meat foods. The method used in this program involves hands-on training in the manufacture of dairy and meat products. Additionally, assistance and monitoring are carried out to ensure in-depth understanding and increase community creativity in utilizing the knowledge gained. Through this program, a new product of economic value was successfully created, namely yogurt. This product has the potential to be further developed as an independent business that can support entrepreneurial creativity in the community.

Romantic opportunism: Doing the work of structures in post-feminist creative industries

This article contributes to feminist cultural studies on the creative industries by offering an ethnographic account of the lifeworld of a female and creative entrepreneur. Drawing on interview data and ethnographic observations collected over the course of 10 years, I offer a thick description of the personal and professional trajectories of Alexandra, through the rise and fall of her fashion brand and first marriage and on to her second marriage and new job as an employee for a marketing firm. I focus on the ways in which she becomes her own microstructure, building connection between love and career in a de-regulated and de-territorialised environment. I argue that she engages in what I call ‘romantic opportunism’, a biographical device that enables her to spot instrumental connections between different dimensions of life, whilst unifying them into a romantic plot. The story of Alexandra can therefore be seen as an instantiation of ‘freelance feminism’, whereby life emerges as the combination of parallel and interdependent projects.

IMPROVEMENT OF CRAFT WORK PRODUCTION THROUGH PROMOTION OF CREATIVITY IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP: AN IMPERATIVE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA

This paper discussed the importance of improving craft work production through promoting creativity in entrepreneurship. The problems facing the country which include high rate of poverty; youth and graduate unemployment; and low economic growth among others can be reduced if craftwork production through promoting creativity in entrepreneurship is improved and encouraged. This paper therefore argues that equipping individuals and the nation at large with improved craftwork skills will make them self-reliant and employers of labour. This will go a long way in helping the country achieve the first sustainable development goal of poverty reduction. The different approaches for promoting creativity in the craft world market were discussed. Various ways craft world market can grow to encourage craft work production was therefore recommended among others.

Creative Entrepreneurship: Background and Characteristics of Advertising Business Entrepreneurs in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand

The advertising business, one of Thailand’s key creative industries, has a strong economic and social impact. Hence, researches on this topic have mainly focused on the organizational structure and operation process of advertising agencies in Bangkok, the center of the industry, while studies on that of local are limited. However, knowledge on such topic is undoubted essential; local agencies can serve the needs of various local advertisers, they support national agencies in penetrating local markets, they also contribute to the strengthening of Thailand's creative industries as most employment and commercial activities take place within small businesses. Considering the aforementioned reasons, this study intents to answer the following research questions: 1. When and how did local advertising business start? 2. What creative entrepreneurship characteristics does an advertising business entrepreneur have? The purposes of this article were to explore background of advertising business and to clarify creative entrepreneurship characteristics of advertising business entrepreneurs in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. The study was based on qualitative research methodology by using in-depth interviewing and self-assessment form to analyze the characteristics of eight entrepreneurs who were selected by specific qualifications. The results found that advertising businesses in Chiang Mai Province were established around 1985, they had primarily produced advertisements according to clients’ orders, especially for radio broadcasting and outdoor signage. At the present, they flexibly offer both advertising and non-advertising services. In addition, it revealed that the advertising business entrepreneurs were motivated to start their own businesses by both internal and external factors. Besides, it appeared that they clearly demonstrated excellent creative entrepreneurship characteristics, respectively: inventing himself/herself, endless learning, exploiting fame and celebrity, defining himself/herself by thinking or doing activities, having fun, being very ambitious, being kind, putting the priority on ideas, not on data, openly admiring success, being nomadic, and treating the virtual as real and vice versa. The findings indicated that the entrepreneurs actively evolved their business models according to local environment and technological changes while personal characteristics and experiences were the fundamental factors to run a successful business. Nevertheless, in the digital economy era, they do need to improve their competitiveness. Creative Economy Agency should support and develop the digital potential of entrepreneurs both using in operations and providing digital media services. Expanding domestic markets, by encouraging small and medium local enterprises to realize the importance of advertising and marketing communication, will increase demand for advertising business services as well.

Sofana Dahlan: spearheading to nurture creativity in Saudi Arabia

Research methodology The data for the case is a mix of both primary and secondary data, from the following sources: – personal interviews with the protagonist, Sofana Dahlan; – Tashkeil website; – official documents provided by the company: ■ “Tashkeil – Corporate Brief,” ■ “Saudi National Creative Initiative – Activities Report 2016”; and ■ “Tashkeil Global Company”. – published media sources. Case overview/synopsis The case outlines the story of Sofana Dahlan (Sofana) (she/her), a social entrepreneur and one of the first few women lawyers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She established Tashkeil as a social enterprise, helping creative entrepreneurs (creatives) with strategic, operational and legal inputs, thus enabling the creative industry in different parts of the Arab world, focussing on Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. Her story can be used to inspire students on how a female entrepreneur fought against an extremely restrictive social and cultural environment and achieved her goals. It helps them to understand the challenges faced by women in the context of the Arab world and the key attributes required for them to succeed as an entrepreneur, especially in the context of certain social and cultural barriers. It also helps to understand the importance of resilience in entrepreneurs and to discuss how entrepreneurs can become more resilient. Complexity academic level The case can be used mainly in undergraduate Business Management Programs in courses such as Entrepreneurship, with specific reference to Women Entrepreneurship. The case would be a good fit for courses on Social Entrepreneurship and Creative Businesses.

Empowering Young Entrepreneurs: Practical Learning Initiatives in Primary Education

The output of this service shows that the lecture session succeeded in increasing students' understanding of the world of entrepreneurship, while the practice of making small parcels provided direct experience in applying these concepts. The exhibition of student work reveals originality in selecting local materials, helping the local economy, and exploring creative potential in business procedures. Apart from having a good influence on children, strong collaboration between schools, teachers and the surrounding community has also been successful. The complete study shows that the success of this service has helped encourage students' enthusiasm to continue exploring their entrepreneurial potential. The results of this service show that a holistic approach through a combination of lectures and practice of making micro parcels has a good impact on students' understanding of entrepreneurship. However, to ensure sustainability and sustainable growth, follow-up action is needed in the form of building an entrepreneurship program that is integrated into the curriculum and forming small groups to encourage student interest. Thus, this abstract illustrates the effectiveness of this service in arousing curiosity and entrepreneurial creativity at SDN Kuala Geulumpang students, with the aim of being able to make a good contribution to the development of their character and talents in the future.

Environmental Journalist Migration: How Entrepreneurial Creativity Facilitates Social Entrepreneurship in Taiwan

Journalism, which provides the public with reliable information, can be perceived to be a social service for the public interest. Modern journalism might evolve into social entrepreneurship, with a focus on creating value for the public amid institutional pressures. Two studies were conducted to investigate the effects of various factors on the social entrepreneurial intention (SEI) of environmental journalists. Study 1, with 287 respondents, confirmed the factor structures of the scales that were used. Study 2, with 352 respondents, confirmed the five precursors to SEI, namely, prior experience, empathy, moral obligation, social support, and self-efficacy, and two aspects of entrepreneurial creativity, namely originality and usefulness. Additionally, two aspects of SEI were identified: conviction and preparation. Accordingly, social support (followed by prior experience, empathy, and usefulness) was the most influential factor on entrepreneurial conviction. Social support (followed by usefulness, prior experience, and empathy) also had the greatest influence on entrepreneurial preparation. Conversely, moral obligation negatively affected both entrepreneurial conviction and preparation. The results have considerable theoretical implications for social services and journalism scholarship by suggesting entrepreneurial creativity as a mediator facilitating journalists’ SEI, social responsibility as a substitute for moral obligation, and emphasis on the effects of social support and self-efficacy.
