Our education needs to focus on returning to life, expand students' learning scope, and improve students' mastery and application ability of English with correct political thoughts. With the development of the educational concept of "curriculum ideology and politics", more and more colleges and universities realize the relationship between ideological and political education and professional courses. From relevant research on ideological and political education in English major courses, the courses have long attached importance to develop students' professional knowledge and skills. To enrich the ideological and political research theory of most students, major colleges and universities start with specific English major teaching in colleges and universities and grasp the paths and methods of innovative teaching practice. Reform and Innovation of Teaching Civics in the Course of “Operating System”

This paper discusses the reform and innovation of Civics teaching in the course of "Operating System". Operating system is a core professional course for computer science majors, and its theoretical and practical nature is strong and abstract, which makes most students not interested in learning the course. It proposes to apply the online and offline hybrid teaching mode in operating system, through network sharing, updating teaching contents, reforming teaching methods, proposing diversified assessment standards, and examining students' knowledge, ability and quality achievement in multiple dimensions. The teaching practice shows that the introduction of the Civics element in the course and the adoption of the online and offline hybrid teaching mode can greatly enhance students' interest in learning and cultivate their patriotism and responsibility. The reform of the OS course has effectively improved the depth and innovation of the course, enhanced the teaching quality and students' comprehensive quality, and achieved better teaching effect and evaluation, which hopefully can provide reference for other professional courses to carry out the teaching of Civics.

Teaching reform strategy of color courses in art and design majors in colleges

As the relevant education departments put forward new requirements for the teaching mode of colleges, the corresponding teaching reform strategy has been promulgated. Colleges are no longer bound by the traditional teaching mode, but have the courage to innovate. Colleges take the initiative to integrate the new elements of the times into the design of the teaching mode, further improve the innovation of the teaching mode under the requirements and constraints of the teaching reform strategy, effectively solve the limitations of the original teaching mode, and use online and offline teaching courses to further improve students' learning ability. Python Programming and Practice is a professional course for computer related majors. Through teaching practice, and based on OBE (Outcome-based Education) concept of course reform, we have revised the course syllabus, reformulated the teaching plan, standardized the classroom teaching, adopted online and offline mixed teaching model to teach the basic knowledge online, and to teach with project case method in offline classroom teaching. The course is completely transformed into outcome-based teaching, which improves the depth and breadth of the course teaching, and improves the students’ practical ability.

Awakening Awareness and Application: Utilizing Guest Speeches and Reflective Learning to Teach Ethics in Marketing

There has been considerable debate on how to teach ethics within the marketing curriculum to accommodate the AACSB requirements requiring emphasis on ethical issues within the business curricula. Since introducing a separate course on marketing ethics has limited reach, we propose incorporating the ethical dimension through guest speeches and reflective learning in a mandatory Marketing course for all business majors. Through phenomenographic analysis of 121 student reflections, we report evidence supporting the effectiveness of this approach in significantly raising awareness of ethics in the marketing domain and in initiating the nurturing of ethical reasoning abilities in undergraduate business students early in their college careers. Students absorbed substantial amounts of knowledge at different levels and demonstrated significant cognitive processing within the revised Bloom’s taxonomy. Using this method to teach marketing ethics promotes awareness and application of ethical reasoning without compromising disciplinespecific instruction.

They should foster new engineering talents with the spirit of craftsmanship, put equal emphasis on knowledge transfer and value leadership, and effectively improve the ideological and political education effectiveness of the course. Through the design and application of teaching materials such as typical cases, the “curriculum ideological and political” elements such as correct value pursuit, ideal belief and national feelings are integrated into the course content teaching. At the same time, they should endeavor to cultivate professional and technical talents who meet social needs in the context of new engineering.

The talent training of medical university bears the important task of training medical workers with noble medical ethics, exquisite medical skills and humanistic spirit [1]. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is an important basic and compulsory course for medical majors. Its relevant theories and technologies have penetrated into all fields of basic medicine and clinical medicine. This course contains rich ideological and political education elements, which are closely combined with clinical practice and daily life, so that students can more vividly and concretely grasp the knowledge and feel the essence of the thought. The implementation of curriculum ideological and political education is helpful to improve the humanistic quality of medical students and professional ethics of doctors. This paper explores and practices the implementation methods of curriculum ideology in biochemistry and molecular biology. It also integrates the elements of moral education into daily teaching guided by "professional spirit", "practicing ability" and "social adaptation", aiming to continuously improve the effect of education and ultimately contribute to the cultivation of medical talents with both moral and medical skills.

In this way, it can help students to better understand the learning content, flexibly apply the knowledge they have learned, and enhance their ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. At the same time, teachers should grasp the main channel of classroom teaching, actively explore the ideological and political education of the course, and put equal emphasis on knowledge transfer and value leadership. In this way, teachers can work hard to foster professional and technical talents that meet the needs of society in the context of the new engineering discipline.

Improving essential knowledge and self-efficacy in computers network course: The potential of chatbots

In university-level education, the computer network is a mandatory course for computer science and engineering majors. A computer network course provides theoretical and hands-on foundations for network connectivity, network topologies, internet protocols, networking devices, and gateways. In the traditional classroom, students face challenges in gaining essential knowledge and self-efficacy. Teachers face challenges in assessing students’ quality of knowledge due to the abundance of online computer science teaching resources. Chatbot technologies have the potential to overcome these challenges and enhance essential knowledge and self-efficacy. However, the argument remains whether a course-specific standard chatbot or a generalizable chatbot could produce high-quality answers. Therefore, in this paper, we research 1) to what extent does using chatbots improve higher education students’ essential knowledge of computers network? and 2) to what extent does using chatbots improve the self-efficacy of higher education students? Our first insight indicates that groundbreaking generalizable chatbots such as You and ChatGPT produce rather detailed answers to the questions associated with computer network courses, but those answers may not be the model answers that teachers expect from the students. Hence, research-based course-specific standard chatbots are required to teach computer network topics effectively.
