Many authors observe how frequently the manifestations of this condition appear in early life, but in the main they consider the prognosis and treatment of the disease in adults. Hence much uncertainty still exists about the fate of children who develop bronchiectasis, and the results of surgical and medical treatment are not widely appreciated.This paper records the results of a follow-up study carried out during the year 1950 on a group of children with bronchiectasis.
