After graduating from UCB, she spent three months interning at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History in the Social History Department's Costume Collection, and another month at the Oakland Museum of California through a generous award from the Region-V Costume Society of America. Shannon recently relocated to New York City to pursue her MA in Visual Culture: Costume Studies at New York University and a career in the field of Costume History and Curation, Visual Culture and the Anthropology of Adornment. She is currently a curatorial intern at the Solomon R.
