This article explores the importance of compliance and quality standards in Brazil, offering a strategic guide for American companies wishing to export to the Brazilian market. The methodology used is qualitative with bibliographic analysis in a database with Scielo, in addition to other renowned academic and legislative sources that can assist in understanding the topic. Thus, initially, the relevance of compliance for foreign companies is addressed, highlighting how it is essential to reduce legal risks and ensure competitiveness in a complex regulatory environment, and companies that adopt robust compliance policies not only avoid sanctions, but also increase their credibility in the market, and what's more, Brazilian quality standards are discussed, emphasizing harmonization with international standards. Thus, this convergence between local and global standards offers a significant advantage for American companies that already operate with globally recognized standards, facilitating entry into the Brazilian market. The article also examines specific regulatory challenges in Brazil, such as bureaucracy and certification processes, which can be obstacles to international trade. Understanding these barriers is essential so that American companies can adapt to local requirements effectively and efficiently. avoiding delays or complications, sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are also discussed, highlighting that, in the Brazilian context, sustainable practices are increasingly valued by both the government and consumers. Companies that integrate sustainability and CSR into their operations find new opportunities and strengthen their image before the public and regulators.
