Peculiarities of organizing online physical education classes and assessment of learning outcomes in the martial law conditions

Purpose. To reveal the peculiarities of the organization and conducting online classes in physical education and assessment of learning outcomes during state of war. The main problematic issues of conducting practical classes in difficult and dangerous conditions during state of war and the differences compared to distance learning and quarantine restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic have been identified. Features of implementation of thematic control in physical education, testing the level of preparedness of students and evaluation of learning results were underlined. The lack of time to learn the program material (the workload according to the schedule is 2 hours per week, an average of four classes per module/topic) does not allow solving the problem of the formation of students' physical culture and health competencies. Therefore, the teachers of the department focus on learning methodological recommendations for the development of basic physical qualities and finding optimal options for organizing and conducting independent classes by students. Conclusions. The quality and effectiveness of conducting online practical classes is affected by the presence of objective factors (the presence of students in a combat zone or in regions of constant enemy fire, the lack of suitable places for classes, which depends on their location, and other circumstances related to hostilities in the country; lack or outages of electricity, Internet and other factors) and subjective reasons (students' motivations, desire to study program material, perform physical exercises to maintain their own health, discipline and self-discipline of the student). Testing of students' preparedness level takes place in extraordinary and not the same conditions for all students. Assessment of learning outcomes is not objective and is based on approximate data.

Implementation of Information and Communication Technologies in Test Control of Leg Strength in Physical Education of Students

The purpose of this study was to experimentally substantiate the implementation of information and communication technologies in test control of leg strength in the process of physical education of students.
 Materials and methods. The methods used to obtain empirical data included pedagogical experiment, pedagogical testing, mathematical methods for processing digital files, comparative statistical method, variance and correlation analysis. The study participants were 240 students aged 17–19 at the beginning of the study.
 Results. A developed device for determining leg muscle strength, built based on the latest information and communication technologies, was presented. The developed design of the device involves the use of analog laser distance sensors the information from which is sent to the processing unit via wireless infrared communication devices and fed to the electronic computing device through an analog-to-digital converter. By calculating the authenticity of the test exercise used to control leg strength, the use of the developed device in practical activities was experimentally substantiated. According to the results of the correlation analysis, it was established that the authenticity of control using the developed device has reached a high level.
 Conclusions. A qualitatively new approach to increasing the effectiveness of control in physical education of students was presented, which is implemented in the developed leg strength control device. The applied value of the results of the conducted research is that the device developed based on information and communication technologies provides a qualitatively new form of implementation of leg force control as well as processing and presentation of control information. The use of the device in the practice of physical education of students ensures the effectiveness and high efficiency of the control procedure, the result of which is the receipt of reliable data, which makes it possible to significantly improve the quality and intensify control of this process to ensure the effectiveness of physical education of students.

Didactic Opportunities of Information-Communication Technologies in the Control of Physical Education

The study objective is to justify and implement information and communication technologies in the test control of the development level of the frequency of movements, as a manifestation of speed qualities in the process of physical education.
 Materials and Methods. To solve the research tasks, the study used the methods of comparing and contrasting, analysis, synthesis, abstraction, formalization and technical modeling.
 Results. An electronic device for the exercise controlling the movement frequency of the hands to evaluate speed qualities was developed for the research purpose. The device is designed on the basis of capacitive type proximity sensors. The signal received by the sensors is processed in the microcontroller unit during the test and transmitted to the personal computer via the communication interface. On a personal computer, using the developed software, they control the time of completion of the test task.
 Conclusions. The developed information and communication technologies based on electronic monitoring device embodies a new approach to addressing the challenge of improving the performance of speed control in physical education by ensuring that objective and reliable test data are obtained promptly.

Potential of New Technologies in Providing Efficiency of Pedagogical Control in Physical Education

The study objective is to substantiate and implement modern electronic automated monitoring systems to improve the testing of speed-strength abilities in the process of physical education.
 Materials and methods. To solve the research tasks used the methods of comparing and contrasting are used and analysis, synthesis, abstraction, formalization and technical modeling.
 Results. The developed capacitive sensor device for control of speed-power abilities is presented. The device is built on a combination of modern nanotechnology and microprocessor systems. As part of the device, the array of active electrodes with digital output registers an input signal from a marker placed on the monitoring object and whose position changes during the exercise. Then the digital signal through the interface and the communication line, goes to the signal converter, where it is processed and wireless transmission devices signal goes to the personal computer, where the result of the exercise is displayed.
 Conclusions. Use in pedagogical control of the physical education process of the developed device provides reliable objective test data with little loss of time to ensure the quality of control.

Pedagogical Control of the Effectiveness of Technology of Physical Education of Students on the Basis of the Convergent Approach

В основу педагогического контроля положена закономерность управления обучением: продуктивность обучения зависит от интенсивности обратных связей в системе обучения и обоснованности корректирующих воздействий. Кроме того, педагогический контроль осуществляется с учетом кибернетических закономерностей: эффективность обучения (в известных пределах) прямо пропорциональна частоте и объему обратной связи; качество знаний зависит от эффективности контроля; частота контроля есть функция от продолжительности обучения. Педагогический контроль в физическом воспитании студентов разработанной технологии представляет собой систему мероприятий, обеспечивающих проверку запланированных показателей, их приобщенности к физической культуре, уровня сформированности заданных ФГОС ВО общекультурных компетенций, а также уровня физической подготовленности, включающего показатели здоровья, физического развития, физической и функциональной подготовленности. В разработанной технологии физического воспитания студентов на основе конвергентного подхода для оценки ее эффективности реализованы пять видов педагогического контроля: предварительный, оперативный, текущий, этапный и итоговый. Основная цель педагогического контроля - определение связи между факторами воздействия (применяемые средства, методы, физические нагрузки) и теми изменениями, которые происходят у студентов в их физкультурно-спортивной деятельности, в формировании общекультурных компетенций, в состоянии здоровья, физического развития, физической и функциональной подготовленности.

Diversification of Educational Technologies in Professional Preparation of A Physical Education Teacher

The study objective is to analyze some of the modern mobile technologies actively used in the educational process and to identify the criteria and conditions for their effective use.
 Materials and methods. Within one module, the experimental group (n=23) was taught the subject “Testing and control in physical education” with the use of mobile applications, and the control group (n=20) - with the use of traditional forms of teaching. To achieve the objective set, the study relied on the following theoretical methods: analysis and synthesis, systematization, comparison, generalization of scientific sources. To assess the impact of using mobile programs on students’ success rate, the study used the Student’s t-test, to determine the consistency of expert opinions on each factor, it used the coefficient of variation, and to establish a relationship between the indicators, the correlation analysis was used.
 Results. The paper highlights the mobile applications used by the authors when teaching students-future physical education teachers, namely Socrative, NearPod, LearningApps, and Skribing.
 Applying the expert assessment method, the authors have defined and confirmed the factors that influence the effectiveness of using mobile technologies and the functions and conditions of their usage. The factors were classified according to their functions into informative and activity-related, emotional-motivational, and operational-organizational. The consistency of expert opinions on these factors by the coefficient of variation (V) ranges from 8.33% to 14.81%.
 Conclusions. Mobile educational technologies are rather attractive for both students and instructors. They help more objectively evaluate students’ abilities and knowledge and stimulate to look for new, non-traditional forms and methods of teaching.
 The introduction of new modern interactive technologies into the educational process, as well as the diversification of existing ones, ensures a gradual transition of education to a new, quality level and allows to solve complicated and important tasks of shaping professional competencies of physical education and sports specialists.

Regulation of Pedagogical Principles of Control in Physical Education of Students of Special Medical Groups

The study objective is to define and ground the parameters of pedagogical principles of test control in physical education of students of special medical groups in higher education institutions.
 Materials and methods. To achieve the objective set, the study used the following methods of theoretical level: analysis and synthesis, conceptualization, systematization, generalization, and theoretical modeling.
 The object of study is the control process in physical education of students of special medical groups.
 Results. The study presents the results of scientific inquiry into theoretical regulations — a system of basic and methodical-implementation principles, which, being consistently complied with, ensure an effective and well-targeted functioning of the test control system in physical education of students of special medical groups. Deterministic principles shape a holistic test control process on a scientific and objective basis of effective and well-targeted functioning. As well as principles ensuring the effectiveness of their practical implementation using the methodical techniques mentioned.
 Conclusions. Qualitative control in physical education as a purposeful, informational and ascertaining, diagnostic and reflexive interaction between the pedagogical process participants ensures the effectiveness of the process. An effective practical implementation of control testing procedures requires the introduction of a qualitatively new set of the most general guidelines, rules, norms regulating this process, in other words, principles.

Pedagogical Principles of Control in Physical Education of Students of Special Medical Groups

The research objective is to define and ground the parameters of pedagogical principles of control in physical education of students of special medical groups. Materials and methods. To achieve the objectives set, the research relied on the following methods: general scientific methods of theoretical level: analysis and synthesis, conceptualization, systematization and generalization.Results. The results of the scientific research has shown that the control of students’ psychophysical state, as a necessary precondition for organizing physical education in special medical groups, is a factor that specifies the training program. The research has proved that the complex testing integrally evaluates the level of students’ psychophysical state. The latter is a prognostic health indicator and, at the same time, an indicator of the effectiveness of physical education in special medical groups. The research has found that control in this process is considered an organic combination of testing and evaluation, the result of which is a grade. Consequently, control in physical education of students of special medical groups should function as an integrated system aimed at solving the main task of physical education — to ensure the psychophysical preparedness of students with health disabilities for their future professional activities.Conclusions. The research has defined and grounded the parameters of pedagogical principles of control in physical education of students of special medical groups. It has found that the system of controlling students with health disabilities is a testing process presented as a set of standardized measurement methods. The latter is a pedagogical process synthesizing the procedures of testing and evaluation and thus intended to ensure the effectiveness of pedagogical actions in physical education.

Effect of Experimental Technology of Control in Physical Education of Students of Special Medical Groups with Respiratory Diseases on their Morphofunctional State

The research objective is to analyze the dynamics of the parameters of the morphfunctional state of students of special medical groups with respiratory diseases under the influence of the experimental technology of control in physical education of students of these groups.
 Materials and Methods: pedagogical experiment, pedagogical testing: methods of recording of morphfunctional state parameters, functional tests and medical-biological tests, mathematical methods of digital data processing.
 Results. The paper presents the results of the experimental technology control tried and tested in physical education of the students of special medical groups with respiratory diseases. The foundation for the special analysis of the effectiveness of the effect the designed technology had on the morphfunctional state of the students of special medical groups with respiratory diseases is assessment of the monitoring results for its parameters during the period of implementation of the designed technology. The analysis of the data obtained confirms the statistic-significant changes (p < 0.05) by all the indicators under study in the students of experimental groups.
 Conclusions. The comparative characteristics of the functional indicators of the respiratory system of the students from the selection under study showed that the experimental groups had significantly better results than the reference groups (p < 0.05). This confirms the effective influence of the designed technology on the morphfunctional state of the students of the experimental groups.

Methodological Approaches to Pedagogical Control in Physical Education of Girls Aged 12-14

The objective is to determine the methodological approaches to pedagogical control in physical education of girls aged 12-14.Materials and methods. The participants of the study were girls aged 12 (n = 31), aged 13 (n = 26), and aged 14 (n = 28).To achieve the tasks set, the study relied on the following methods: analysis of scientific literature, pedagogical testing and methods of mathematical statistics. To evaluate the functional and motor preparedness of the girls aged 12-14, we recorded the results of Stange and Genchi, Serkin and motor tests.Results. The standardized coefficients of the canonical discriminant function allow to determine the relation of the variables contribution to the function result. The first function explains the results variation by 86.8% (p < 0.001), the second — by 13.2% (p < 0.001). The above proves that pedagogical control is possible in physical education based on the classification of the age differences in girls aged 12-14, by the results of their functional, strength and coordination preparedness tested.The structural coefficients of the first canonical discriminant function indicate that a significant difference between the girls aged 12 and the girls aged 13-14 occurs in the level of development of their motor coordination, speed strength and the results of Stange’s test. The structural coefficients of the second canonical discriminant function indicate that a significant difference between the girls aged 13 and 14 occurs in the level of development of the static and relative strength of their arm muscles.Conclusions. The final pedagogical control of motor and functional preparedness of the girls aged 12-14 can rest on the first discriminant function with emphasis on the most informative variables.

Teachers' Conceptualization of Pupil Control in Elementary School Physical Education

Management of conduct has been considered the most important problem facing schools in America during 16 of the last 20 years (Gallup, 1988). Yet little is known about specific techniques teachers use to achieve pupil control in physical education. One purpose of this work is to describe the development of a conceptual framework for pupil control techniques. The framework was derived from 64 live observations and audiotapes of elementary school physical education lessons. A second purpose is to describe how teachers may potentially foster pupil self-control. Data were reduced through analytic induction, constant comparison, and topological analysis. The investigator placed 23 categories into three classifications as perceived by teachers: anticipatory, tutorial, and punitive. Teachers confirmed frequency of using techniques during interviews and on surveys. Intraobserver agreement tests yielded 88% for distinguishing among categories. Interobserver scores ranged from 83 to 86% agreement. Categories may serve to increase teachers' repertoire of control techniques in accordance with their ideological beliefs. For teachers in this study, facilitating self-control involves (a) selecting tutorial control techniques, (b) using indirect forms of techniques, and (c) conveying reasons for using techniques.
