<p>The enrollment man in the use of contraceptives in indonesia is still very low only 2.1% kb participants men and they generally wearing a condom .This percentage lower if than in other countries, like Iran 12%, Tunisia 16%, Malaysia 9-11%.Of the total number of acceptors in Indonesia about 97% are women. The purpose of this research is to know what factors affecting family planning (KB) man with paritisipasi man in family planning in the work area of Puskesmas Sedayu II. Population in research it is a whole fertile couples active<br />attending the program at Puskesmas Sedayu II. A population of as many as 170 persons, the sample of the 63. Analysis the data used was analysis bivariat and multivariate. The results of the study participation man not directly to the days of 20 to 30 years as many as 100%, participation man not directly with junior as many as 93.3%, participation pre indirect the number of children <2 as many as 100%, participation man not directly with income ≥rp. 1.168.300 as many as 100%, participation man not directly with knowledge enough as many<br />as 100%, participation man not directly with social and cultural back 100%. Multivariate test results obtained not a significant relation exists between the ages of, education, the number of children, income, knowledge, social and cultural by participation man in family planning.</p>

Hubungan Lama Pemakaian Kontrasepsi Suntik Kombinasi Dengan Kadar Glukosa Darah Di Bpm “E” Kecamatan Purwosari, Pasuruan

Injectable is one of the most widely used contraceptives in Indonesia. Injectable contraceptive often causes the changes in blood glucose levels because it contains a steroid hormone with low anti-insulin. The use in the long term can even cause pancreatitis. Hormones in injectable contraceptive have opposite work against insulin. Insulin resistance causes pancreas to increasingly work harder to produce insulin. Over time the pancreas will not be able to function optimally and will have an impact on blood glucose levels.
 The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of the length of injectable contraceptive use to blood glucose levels among combined injectable acceptors. This study used cross sectional study design. The source of data was primary data with the respondents combined injectable acceptors in Privately Practising Midwife "E" at Purwosari Sub-district. The sampling technique was non probability sampling with a total sampling of 46 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using bivariate analysis with chi-square. In this study, 41% of women were found to have high glucose levels (>125mg/dl). A total of 53.8% of women who used combined injectable contraceptive more than two years had blood glucose levels over 125 mg / dl, but from the results of the analysis, it showed that the length of contraceptive use was not statistically significant with blood glucose levels (p value 0.095). Therefore, injectable contraceptive used in the long term must be taken into account.

HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN, PERSEPSI, SOSIAL BUDAYA DENGAN PERAN AKTIF PRIA DALAM VASEKTOMI DI KECAMATAN PAGUYANGAN KABUPATEN BREBES TAHUN 2011-2012

Participation rate of men in the use of contraceptives in Indonesia is still very low, at only 2.1 % men and they generally using a condom. Yet unsupported use of vasectomy as a contraceptive program is because of the social environment, culture, society and family are still considered male participation has not been or is not important, knowledge and awareness of men and their families in family planning still low. The purpose of this research was to know the correlation between knowledge, perseption and social culture in men’s active participation on vasectomy program. This research was observational with Cross Sectional study. This research was using simple random sampling technic. Based on the result of this research, there was significant correlation between perception and men's participation on vasectomy program (p value=0.047), there was significant correlation between social culture and men's participation on vasectomy program (p value=0.002), there was no correlation between knowledgeand men's participation on vasectomy program (p value=0.054). Vasectomy acceptors were suggested to become models by doing a persuasive approach through a familial conversation, so the other men have desire to contribute on vasectomy program.

Use of Modern Contraceptives in Indonesia: A Challenge to the Conventional Wisdom

Use of contraceptives in Indonesia has increased over less than a decade from 2 to 41% of married women while fertility has fallen by about 1 child per woman. These changes have occurred among all segments of the population including the least educated and most rural. The majority of contraceptors are using efficient modern methods obtained from the countrys extensive national family planning program. This change appears to contradict the popular belief that turnarounds in fertility cannot be expected before a country is socially and economically developed and that couples will not use contraceptives to curb childbearing while they remain poor and are poorly educated. The authors analyze the various factors affecting the use of modern contraceptives in Indonesia and find that region of residence has the strongest relationship to current use most likely because the family planning program was implemented differently in the various regions. Rank order of clinic availability is virtually the same as the rank order for current contraceptive use. Use rates rose sharply in 1 lagging province after special efforts were made to increase services there. Pointing out that the highest rates of use were among those couples with the lowest and the highest standards of living the authors advance the theory that among the more affluent high contraceptive practice rates are mainly attributable to modernization. Among the poor rural and uneducated however recognition of the adverse effect of continued childbearing on their ability to support themselves and educate their children coupled with access to modern influences--including the information and services of the family planning program--may have worked to increase use. It is also possible the authors note that poor couples find it difficult to resist the pressure of local officials to meet mandated goals for acceptance of contraceptives in local areas. (Authors)
