This article focuses on an approach to the figure of Raquel Díaz Reguera in the extensive field of contemporary children’s literature, highlighting the importance and value that the illustrated album acquires, not only as a means of artistic expression, but also for its role in literary education and the transmission of values. Through a qualitative description of her career as a creator within this genre, we will highlight the author’s commitment to themes of great social and educational importance. Emotional and affective development, gender roles, diversity and peaceful coexistence are some of the topics addressed in her titles. After an approach to the album genre, we will focus on the production of Díaz Reguera, so as to offer a reading itinerary through a selection of various valid titles that will help us forge a literary education that, at the same time, guarantees not only emotional stability, but also the creation of civic awareness and social commitmentl.
