Information on standardisation and standards as new indicators to forecast technological and industrial changes

ABSTRACT Product architecture changes fundamentally through the recombination of existing component technologies, as radical innovation accelerates. We analysed these structural changes in the case of the display industry. We shed light on standards information that could be new indicator to predict technological and industrial innovation. We addressed two issues. First, whether standardisation information is a leading indicator to detect and forecast technological and industrial changes. Second, whether standard information shows technological information flow signalling new technological fields. As methodology, we conducted case studies and empirical analysis using the information on standardisation and standards from the ‘activity process’ and ‘activity result’ viewpoint, respectively. As results, case studies showed a changing role from responsive to anticipatory standards by verifying that recent standardisation activities preceded the time of new product releases in world/Asian markets. We also found out that reconfiguration in the value chain that standardisation in component technologies has contributed to function technological fields. Network analysis using bibliographic information of standards revealed linkage patterns of technological knowledge flows with supporting the case studies. We propose the necessity of active participation in the standardisation process from industrial viewpoint with monitoring the industrial and technological trends. From policy viewpoint, we suggest construction and management of standards-related information system.

Construction of supply chain management information system based on networked web service composition technology

Web service composition is crucial for creating valuable services by integrating pre-existing ones. With their service-oriented architecture (SOA), which can be used for any system design, web services can increase flexibility. Fusing Web services architecture with Semantic Web services can better assist supply chain coordination in a distributive, autonomous, and ever-changing corporate environment than current information technology. Decisions must be made quickly and with enough information many systems fail to provide real-time supply chain insight. Forecasting, inventory management, and decision-making may all be impacted by poor data quality. Modifying preexisting systems according to unique organizational needs may be challenging and expensive. Hence, this paper proposes a semantic web service-based supply chain management framework (SWS-SCMF) to analyze the web services in supply chains and examine how they interact using Web Ontology Language (OWL)-S, including automated discovery, construction, and invocation. The suggested method for improving supply chain data integration uses an ontology-based multiple-agent decision support system. Different accessibility tools, data formats, management information systems, semantic web, and databases are integrated across the five interconnected levels of the system. Businesses may find the proposed approach useful for data and information sharing when dealing with complex supply chain management. The suggested SWS-SCMF is an adaptable, accurate, and effective method for bidirectional chaining composition that uses mediators to enable the automated composition of Semantic Web services. The numerical results show that our proposed method enhances the overall performance ratio by 94%, accuracy ratio by 98%, and supply chain management ratio by 91% compared to other methods.

Design, develop, and implement the strategic information system on health, dependence, and healthy aging: an analysis of the Mexican experience

BackgroundThe Decade of Healthy Aging (2021–2030) emerges as a 10 years strategy to improve the lives of older adults, their families, and the communities in which they live. One of the actions defined in this framework is related to improving the measurement, monitoring, and understanding of characteristics, factors, and needs related to aging and health. The aim was to analyze and assess the process of construction and development of the Strategic Information System on Health, Funcional Dependence and Aging (SIESDE, for its acronym in Spanish). SIESDE will provide strategic information in Mexico at the municipal, state, and national levels that support the public policies on healthy aging.MethodsThe system processes and analyzes the data sources of the Health Information Systems and the National System of Statistical and Geographical Information. SIESDE comprises three components: (1) Design, construction, and evaluation of the indicators; (2) storage, management, and visualization, and (3) diffusion and translation of information.ResultsA total of 135 indicators were built on seven themes: (1) demographic, socioeconomic, and aging conditions, (2) health, (3) functional dependence, (4) healthy aging, (5) health services, (6) social and physical environments, and (7) complex indicators.ConclusionsSIESDE is an effective system for providing an overall view of health, aging, and functional dependence.

Estimation of IT-project efforts for information system creation in the conditions of re-use of its functions

The object of this study is the process of estimation and control of an IT project. During the study, the problem of increasing the accuracy of estimating the efforts of an IT project to build an information system (IS) was solved. Research in this area is aimed at simplifying the original assessment methods or at applying elements of artificial intelligence to these methods. The task of the impact of the features of IS development methodology on effort assessment remains unexplored. During the study, the method of functional point analysis was modified. The proposed modification makes it possible to increase the accuracy of estimating efforts to build an IS under the conditions of re-using its individual functions. These conditions allow the construction of new system functions by reusing a previously developed function of the same system. The developed method was tested during the evaluation of efforts of an IT project to form the functional task "Forming and executing an individual plan for a research and teaching staff member of the department." The option of re-using one of the functions of a task during the construction of two other functions of the same task is considered. For this option, the estimate was 72 function points (the estimate using the standard method was 144 function points). The use of the results allows us to increase the accuracy in assessing the efforts of IT projects to construct IS under the conditions of applying the methodology of reuse of previously developed system elements. This, in turn, makes it possible to improve the accuracy of estimating time costs, personnel requirements, and financial costs for the implementation of IT projects for constructing IS. Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Wisata Budaya (Studi Kasus Kabupaten Bandung)

This Cultural Tourism Information System is constructed with the purpose of seeking information about cultural tourism and cultural objects in the Bandung Regency area. Besides providing cultural tourism information, this cultural tourism information system is employed to discover various cultural tourism events within the Bandung Regency region. Through this research, it is anticipated that it will be beneficial for cultural tourism promotion and aiding in the advancement of local cultural objects in the Bandung Regency. The research method applied is the Rational Unified Process with the utilization of Unified Modeling Language in modeling, while testing is conducted through the BlackBox Testing method. This application is developed using the Laravel Framework and Bootstrap, The results of the implementation show that the overall constructed information system aligns with user requirements. From the conducted User Acceptance Test (UAT), the average parameter results were as follows: design 3.89 (77.9%), features 3.76 (75.3%), and user satisfaction 4.20 (84.2%).

Fundamentals for formalizing the problem of information analysis architectures of intelligent training systems

Formulation of the problem. An analysis of the construction of information systems was carried out and the requirements for the appearance of intelligent training systems were determined. Model support for the analysis of an intelligent training system (ITS) is based on the use of modeling methods, their integration with existing methods and tools, providing dynamic modeling of the functional and structural properties of its information architecture. Target. To propose a new approach to formalizing the process of developing an ITS information architecture. Results. From the analysis of the content of educational and training tasks, general patterns have been identified that make it possible to apply system-forming principles to represent ITS, which comprehensively characterize the information process of modeling its information architecture based on the functional (F), structural (S) and information (I) aspects . The principles represent hierarchical categories, each of which reflects one of the levels of information interaction of models that make up the functional, structural and information levels of the interprogram interface, taking into account their level-by-level interaction. Each aspect of the consideration of models is characterized by content that generally reflects one of the aspects of the modeling object. In general, the principles reflect the paradigm of three-level information interaction of information objects, which uses for analysis existing approaches to modeling information architecture in the interests of implementing the invariant process of ITS functioning in relation to its pragmatic field. Information interaction between information objects represents the implementation of functional, structural and information relationships between objects and in their structure. Information relations in an ITS are determined by the presence of open ISF interfaces among information objects that form its information structure. The integrated model of these structures is a dynamic model of ITS, since informational and structural properties determine the conditions, and functional properties determine the nature of possible actions. Since the interaction levels are hierarchically coupled, the dynamic ITS model has a hierarchical structure. The implementation of interaction of information objects through ISF interfaces determines the transition of ITS to simulated states. The ITS information architecture model is presented in the form of a modular-cluster network structure. It is based on the principle of stratification of ITS into functional information models that implement the introduced aspects of the analysis of information interaction with grouping into clusters, reflecting the functional and structural properties of its information architecture. Practical significance. The functional and structural properties of the ITS information architecture were formalized on a variety of models (modules), their interfaces and information relationships, ensuring the development of a formal formulation of the problem of analyzing the ITS information architecture.

Perancangan Sistem Informasi Administrasi Keuangan Berbasis Android Menggunakan Kodular (Studi Kasus: Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik UAJ)

The Student Senate of the Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University is one of the organizations affected by the pandemic, so they carry out semi-manual work processes, meaning that most of the processes are already using digital systems. Activities that are not integrated raises new problems such as non-recorded transactions, inaccurate financial report calculation results, and the length of time needed for treasurers to manage financial administration. Because of these constraints, research was conducted on the design and construction of the SMFT UAJ information system related to the financial administration process. In the process of designing the SMFT UAJ financial administration information system, the System Development Life Cycle Waterfall method was used as a reference for making the system with the help of the Kodular tool in building the entire system using the block coding system and the google sheet database. System testing is carried out in 2 stages, namely system testing and acceptance testing on 4 aspects (learnability, efficiency, memorability, and satisfaction). The test results show that this system is feasible for use by SMFT UAJ with the result of reducing processing time for learnability and memorability tests. The article examines the formation of information and the construction of a logistic information system for effective management of transport and production enterprises on this basis. It was found that the functioning of the logistics management system of the enterprise requires high-quality information support, since the management process is a sequence of decision-making acts. The experience of leading foreign enterprises, firms, companies, in terms of design and stages of development, as well as the methodology of implementing model logistics systems on them, is taken into account. The movement of material information flows in the logistics management system at the transport and production enterprise is considered. Seven management functions are identified and their content, types of systems and software products are clarified. Negative and positive points in the activities of enterprises were identified. The adequacy of the formation of information flows at the transport and production enterprise has been clarified. A typical decomposition of the structure of the logistics information system was considered and the building principles (effects) were formed and the main indicators were determined. An organizational structure was built with subsystems: management of order procedures; scientific research and connections; support of logistics solutions; generation of output forms and measures on the dedicated system of operations; the functional structure of the logistics information system is built. The issue of the role and purpose of information in the hierarchy of logistics operations has been clarified. Proposed principles of logistics information organization. Modern development of society, increasing the degree and pace of integration of information technology achievements into the sphere of human life, traditional approaches to the construction of information systems cease to be effective or become too cumbersome. The development and use of knowledge-based systems is one way to solve this problem. The material of the work is devoted to the ontological modeling of the new subject area «Library». Ontology is considered in the context of knowledge sharing. The created ontological model of the «Library» knowledge base is quite modern and relevant today. The developed ontological model of the knowledge base in this field can be implemented on thematic web resources and will significantly facilitate the semantic search of information within the subject area in comparison with the existing ones. The terminological dictionary of this subject area is defined using the term system. An analysis of the capabilities of the Protégé ontology development environment for modeling the specific subject area «Library» was carried out. The basic principle of ontology modeling in the form of a semantic network was chosen. The proposed network has the opportunity to expand and deepen knowledge about the subject area «Library». Using the Protégé environment for the implementation of the ontological model of the knowledge base made it possible to use the advantages and features of the created «Library» model, such as: structuredness, completeness, reflexivity, functionality, transitivity, reliability and consistency of information. The criterion for assessing the correctness of the ontological model of the knowledge base was selected and used. Testing of the developed ontological knowledge base was conducted and a fairly high level of its correctness in the process of information search was confirmed. The average indicator (Average) according to the SUM metric, determined for all users, is equal to 83.25%, which is an acceptable indicator of the ontological knowledge base. When using the classic relational model of database organization to implement the «Library» database. the average SUM metric for 10 users is 75.26%. An example of the developed ontology in Protégé is considered, a graphical representation of the basic graph of the ontological model of the «Library» knowledge base is given, the model includes 10 classes and subclasses, 2 properties-relations and up to 10 properties-data are defined for each class and subclass, an example of the classes of the ontological model is given «Library», an example of the "property-relations" of the ontological model «Library» is given, an example of the "property-data" of the ontological model «Library» is given. Possible directions of further development of the ontological model «Library» have been determined.

Laravel Framework-Based Information System of the Department of Information Technology of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta

It is crucial to have a reliable and adequate information system to implement information technology. It explains why technology must continue advancing in this area, specifically regarding the Information Technology Department’s information management at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). Information has been disseminated through the WhatsApp and Telegram applications, leading to improper conveying of the made and supplied information due to excessive stacking. Hence, a web-based information system was developed in PHP with the help of the Laravel framework to overcome the issue. Moreover, a database was set up using MySQL to circumvent the issue. The newly constructed information system could enhance information management, leading to more accurate and efficient information generation for various uses.

Features of the construction and practical application of multi-level information and measurement systems for monitoring and diagnostics of electrical equipment are considered. The results of the construction and research of mathematical models of some diagnostic signals (acoustic emission, vibrations) accompanying the operation of electrical equipment units (including powerful generators) are given. Improved mathematical models of vibrational information-diagnostic signals are proposed, taking into account both the properties of diagnostic objects and the modes in which such equipment works. According to the results of the analysis of mathematical models of the considered information signals, a number of diagnostic signs are theoretically justified, which allows monitoring and establishing the technical condition of individual generator nodes. As illustrative examples, the use of acoustoemission and vibration diagnostic signals for the formation of training sets, which are part of a multi-level information and measurement system for monitoring and diagnostics of electrical equipment, is considered. The information base obtained at the experimental test stands of the IED of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was used to form such educational groups. It is pointed out the need to take into account the influence of temperature and humidity on the assessment of diagnostic signs during monitoring and diagnostics of electrical equipment. Utilization of an Information System for the Efficient Implementation of the Integrated Environmental Permit System in South Korea

The construction and operation of information systems are valuable for the implementation of an integrated environmental permit system (IEPS). This study introduces an IEPS and examines its implementation in South Korea. Using operational cases from the IEPS, we demonstrate how the system is structured for each permit application procedure and the mechanisms by which permits are processed. In South Korea, the operation of an IEPS has made it easy to track the progress of permits and immediately notify the relevant authorities regarding permit applications and supplementary requests, thereby reducing the time required for permit reviews and amendments. Furthermore, disclosing the review results and other permit information ensures the reliability of permits. Additionally, the regular input of data, such as pollutant monitoring data from facilities and compliance with permit conditions, into the IEPS facilitates the stable management of all data related to facility permits and operations. Regulatory agencies can utilize the database within the IEPS to gain insight into facility conditions before conducting on-site inspections, ultimately reducing the time required for such inspections. Moreover, by accessing past inspection records through this system, facilities requiring more focused management can be identified, and data from the system can be used in planning future inspections.

Research on Internal Control Optimization of Geological Team A
