The subject was a retarded woman. The multistimulus method did not result in extratherapy generalization. However, reinforcement in an extratherapy environment setting did appear to facilitate generalization to other settings. The report includes a suggested clarification of the term generalization and a discussion of the practical implications and the limitations of these findings.
