Abstract Aluminium Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites (AHMMCs) possess significantly improved properties than unreinforced aluminium alloys. The Aluminium alloy 7075 with the varying weight percentage of reinforcements like Silicon Carbide (SiC) of 2wt%, 4wt%, 6wt% and 3wt% Zirconium Di-Oxide (ZrO2) were taken for this proposed work. The AHMMCs have been fabricated by the stir-casting method at a melt temperature of about 740°C, stirrer speed of 350 rpm for 5 min and poured a liquid melt into flat metal mould immediately. The effect of the reinforcement has been performed through various mechanical tests and results exposed that the hardness, impact energy, tensile strength, compressive strength of composites was increased with increasing 6wt% of SiC and 3wt% of ZrO2 reinforcements in the matrix. The uniform distribution of reinforcements in the matrix was obtained by metallurgical analysis. The chemical characterization of the samples was analyzed. The higher weight percentages of hybrid composites are suitable for automobiles components due to the current demand.
