Evaluating knowledge management practices in a hospital pharmacy: A comprehensive investigation

Background: Knowledge management practices in healthcare settings play a crucial role in improving patient care quality and operational efficiency. However, the understanding and implementation of these practices in Oshakati Hospital pharmacy, Namibia, remain unclear. Methods: A structured questionnaire was administered to 26 participants, including pharmacists, pharmacist interns, and pharmacist assistants, to assess knowledge-sharing frequency, documentation practices, technology effectiveness, and the overall knowledge management effectiveness. Results: The study found no significant relationship between work experience and knowledge management practices, indicating potential gaps in understanding and implementation of knowledge management strategies. Participants showed moderate attitudes towards knowledge sharing, with technology perceived as moderately effective in facilitating knowledge management. Conclusion: Enhancing knowledge management practices at Oshakati Hospital pharmacy is crucial to address existing gaps, improve collaboration, and elevate pharmaceutical care standards in the region. Implementing a comprehensive health information system and integrating innovative technologies can enhance knowledge extraction and patient interactions, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes.

Experiences of Adversity and Validity of Baseline Concussion Testing.

Neurocognitive testing is a critical tool in the management of sport-related concussions. Adversity during childhood and adolescence affects cognitive tasks, behavioral outcomes, and academic performance. Adversity may be important in baseline concussion test validity as well; however, the influence of these experiences is not well understood. To examine the relationship between individual-level experiences of adversity and baseline test validity of Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing (ImPACT). We hypothesized that experiences of poverty, maltreatment, or extreme neighborhood deprivation would be associated with lower odds of baseline test validity. Case-control study. Cuyahoga County, Ohio. A total of 6495 student-athletes born from 1995 through 2005 who completed a baseline ImPACT test between 10 and 18 years old and were identified in the Child-Household Integrated Longitudinal Data system, a comprehensive data system with demographic and social service usage outcomes for children in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Baseline concussion test validity was determined using the ImPACT built-in validity measure. Experiences of adversity during the sensitive developmental periods of early childhood and adolescence were key independent variables. Our findings suggested that social mobility may play an important role in baseline validity. Youth with upward social mobility (ie, poverty or neighborhood deprivation in early childhood only) were not different from youth without such experiences (odds ratio [OR] = 0.91, P = .74). Youth with persistent adversity across childhood or downward social mobility (ie, poverty or high neighborhood deprivation in adolescence only) had 50% to 72% lower odds of achieving a valid baseline test (persistent poverty, OR = 0.59, P = .05; adolescent poverty only, OR = 0.50, P = .004; adolescent neighborhood deprivation only, OR = 0.28, P < .001). Maltreatment had no significant effect on test validity. These findings indicated that certain patterns of adversity may predispose youth to invalid baseline testing scores, potentially increasing their risk of inappropriate injury management and poor outcomes.

Geographic Information System-Based Comprehensive Shared Micromobility Station Siting Optimization for Small Urban Areas

Shared micromobility travel modes such as dockless e-scooters and bikeshare programs have become increasingly popular in the U.S. in the last decade because of their potential to improve multi-modal accessibility within communities. Smaller urbanized areas with lower population densities and fewer resources for system planning, operation, and maintenance present unique challenges with siting optimal station/service area locations. This research develops a comprehensive geographic information system (GIS)-based methodology for optimizing micromobility stations/service area locations using available and rasterized geospatial data to capture bikeshare demand indicators. Inputs are prioritized by overall importance according to the results of a survey of transportation professionals, with weights calculated by an analytic hierarchy process. These different factors are combined to create a new spatial index value to identify hotspots for candidate station/service area locations, which can be further analyzed to choose optimal locations based on the budgeted quantity of station/service area locations and ideal spacing between stations/service areas. The case study of the methodology is presented on a bikeshare station siting study in Iowa City, Iowa, U.S., using data from the Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County. This research seeks to improve shared micromobility station/service area planning to better orient service to a variety of transportation goals including regular/commuting use, recreational use, equity, first/last mile connection to transit, and operational partnership opportunities. Multimodal travel times and job accessibility in the study area are evaluated both before and after the introduction of bikeshare, and both greatly improve with the introduction of optimal stations. Public agencies could expect to benefit from this comprehensive methodology because it uses easily obtainable data sources and provides the flexibility to weight the importance of factors differently to fit their communities’ specific transportation goals.

Geotechnical information system employs spatial analysis to utilize information gathered from Cone Penetration Testing (CPT)

Surakarta has diverse structures, including malls, shopping centers, hotels, offices, markets, hospitals, colleges, and schools. However, the Regional Government lacks a comprehensive data information system about the Cone Penetration Test (CPT). Such a system benefits investors seeking to develop new infrastructure in Surakarta. In order to tackle this problem, a research study was carried out to develop an Information System based on CPT data regarding the depth of hard soil throughout the city. The investigation analyzed pre-existing CPT data, its compilation, and cartographic representation. However, the arbitrary allocation of CPT data presents a challenge. Results of the study indicate that the most predominant depth of compacted soil qc 250 kg/cm2 in Surakarta is 3-5 meters below the surface. Moreover, comparing the depth of CPT soil in the field with GIS at multiple observation points indicates findings that mostly conform to GIS predictions and those of in situ tests. Combining CPT data with ArcGIS software has been a highly successful approach in identifying projects and providing robust geotechnical information.

THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The article presents the research results of the electronic system for managing university educational programs (EP). The analysis of scientific works showed that higher educational institutions need the introduction of integrated information systems. Such systems are the technical basis of the electronic university and have functionality for managing education and providing communications to university management. An analysis of the main processes of EP management was performed, and interested parties, their roles, and participation in the methods were determined. The proposed mathematical model is the basis of management for introducing the EP, its development, and implementation control based on quality parameters. The software module is a part of the university's management process support system and the JetIQ of Vinnytsia National Technical University's (VNTU's) comprehensive information system. For the analysis of the subject area and the formation of optimal management processes, the methodological recommendations of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA), data export and import system for the Unified State Electronic Database on Education Issues, the experience, and recommendations of experts from the department of quality assurance of education of VNTU, experts and guarantors of educational programs were used. Precedent models are formed about such role scenarios – applicant, student, teacher, guarantor, management, expert, stakeholder (employer). Such models made it possible to create not only the software module for the management of educational programs (QEd – Quality Educational) but also to determine the conditions for publication on the main website of VNTU of educational programs and documentation of their development, syllabi on the foremost showcase and jet-sites of the department, to create scenarios for automatic quality control of the EP. The result of the creation of the software module for the management of educational programs is a system of structured information regarding the development and implementation of the educational program, which allows the guarantor and specialists of the department to ensure the quality of education by use special containers for documentation and interested parties to use public up-to-date information on the university's websites.

Optimizing Postpartum Care in Rural Communities: Insights from Women in Arizona and Implications for Policy.

Optimal postpartum care promotes healthcare utilization and outcomes. This qualitative study investigated the experiences and perceived needs for postpartum care among women in rural communities in Arizona, United States. We conducted in-depth interviews with thirty childbearing women and analyzed the transcripts using reflexive thematic analysis to gauge their experiences, needs, and factors affecting postpartum healthcare utilization. Experiences during childbirth and multiple structural factors, including transportation, childcare services, financial constraints, and social support, played crucial roles in postpartum care utilization for childbearing people in rural communities. Access to comprehensive health information and community-level support systems were perceived as critical for optimizing postpartum care and utilization. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders in enhancing postpartum care services for individuals in rural communities in the United States.

A novel socio-techno-environmental GIS approach to assess the contribution of ground-mounted photovoltaics to achieve climate neutrality in Germany

The German government’s goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2045 and increasing the use of renewable energy, particularly wind and solar power, has public support. However, the local siting of wind and solar farms is highly controversial due to land-use conflicts. We have developed a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS) model that integrates criteria from the literature to identify optimal locations for ground-mounted photovoltaic (GM-PV). The model is based on a holistic approach considering energy-related factors and broader environmental and climate aspects. The unique feature of the model is its integration of socio-technical and environmental criteria, including a novel approach to achieving a dual land-use climate benefit by protecting erosion-prone soils and conserving soil carbon in areas prone to organic matter decomposition and associated CO2 release. Our multi-criteria GM-PV model includes 12 restrictions and five suitability criteria representing key socio-technical, economic and environmental aspects. Scenario analysis highlights the sensitivity of Germany’s GM-PV potential to defined criteria. In Scenario 1, with minimal constraint, 14.2 % of Germany’s land is available for GM-PV, decreasing to 1.9 % in the highly constrained Scenario 12. Suitable areas (>10 ha) account for 0.4 % of Germany’s land area, which could cover 8.1 % of Germany’s electricity consumption in 2045 in the highly restricted scenario. The spatial distribution results show that the innovative approach of the model changes the preference of GM-PV locations based on factors such as solar radiation in the south and soil carbon storage in the north of Germany. The application of restriction and suitability criteria significantly reduces the potential for GM-PV in Germany but also potential pitfalls for decision-makers. The GIS model can be applied in regional context to integrate stakeholder values and generate region-specific scenarios, as criteria and thresholds can be easily adapted to regional characteristics, preferences, and concerns, including those related to agriculture, biodiversity, and social acceptance.

Generating Spatial Knowledge Graphs with 2D Indoor Floorplan Data: A Case Study on the Jeonju Express Bus Terminal

With the boom in online information, knowledge graphs like Freebase, Wikidata, and YAGO have emerged, thanks to the introduction of the RDF (Resource Description Framework). As RDF data grew, more and more spatial data was incorporated into it. While we have a lot of 2D data for outdoor spaces, mapping indoor spaces in 3D is challenging because it is expensive and time-consuming. In our research, we turned 2D blueprints into detailed 3D maps and then translated this into RDF format. We used the Jeonju Express Bus Terminal in South Korea as our test case. We made an automated tool that can turn 2D spatial data into 3D data that fits the IndoorGML standard. We also introduced terms like ‘loc’, ‘indoorgml-lite’, and ‘bloc’ to describe indoor spaces in the RDF format. Once we put our data into a GraphDB database, we could easily search for specific details and routes inside buildings. This work fills a significant gap in knowledge graphs concerning indoor spaces. However, the production of large-scale data across varied areas remains a challenge, pointing towards future research directions for more comprehensive indoor spatial information systems.

Student Engagement—Pre and Post Covid-19 Pandemic

This study contributes to applied and theoretical research for schools and districts by exploring data-based evidence of the relationships between the Covid-19 pandemic and student engagement with school. The paper features trend data on student orientation to school assessed via the multi-dimensional Student Orientation to School Questionnaire (SOS-Q). The SOS-Q was initially developed to better understand the reasons for school dropout and has expanded to explicate a wider range of student-school engagement dynamics. This study demonstrates how student orientation to school may be effected by major extraneous factors and demonstrates the value of integrating valuable non-cognitive or affective measures within comprehensive student information and assessment systems augmenting both individual and cohort psychological supports.

Factors Contributing to a Land Value Information System to Become a Solution for the Shortage of Property Transaction Evidence in Sri Lanka: Property Valuers’ Perception

In developing markets, obtaining comparable evidence for real estate valuations is often challenging. Land Value Information Systems that aim to gather, store, handle, retrieve, and perform land-related data for lawful, organizational, and institutional decision-making processes, have been used in developed countries to address this issue. However, Sri Lanka lacks a comprehensive land value information system. Thus, this study aimed to examine the factors that contribute land value information systems to become a potential solution in addressing lack of property transaction data, focusing on the perception of property valuers in Sri Lanka. A structured questionnaire, unstructured interviews and discussions were used with 30 professional real estate valuers in both qualitative and quantitative methods, revealing a positive attitude towards adopting the system. The advantages of such systems were aligned with time saving, accessibility to up-to-date data, convenience, etc., while concerns included disrupting the valuation industry’s monopoly and information security challenges. The contributing factors were identified under three main categories, technological factors, organizational factors and people factors. Study findings revealed that technological factors were ranked high as most impactful for the successfulness of a land value information system. While technological and organisational factors were deemed achievable during implementation, the study suggests additional efforts, such as establishing a help desk, conducting training programmes to address people-related factors.

ANALYSIS OF FACTORS INHIBITING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SMK3 IN THE WIDENING PROJECT OF KAPAS – GLENDENG BRIDGE, BOJONEGORO REGENCY

In construction projects, inadequate implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OHSMS) poses risks to the safety and well-being of workers, resulting in decreased performance and compromised project quality. This study focuses on the Kapas-Glendeng bridge widening project in Bojonegoro Regency, identifying key obstacles such as workforce competence, limited experience, insufficient training, and challenges accessing digital information. Additionally, issues related to worker involvement in regulation-making, understanding of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), reporting procedures, and documentation of work accidents were observed. To address these challenges, the study recommends strategies such as involving untrained workers in competence-building programs, providing apprenticeships for less experienced personnel, implementing comprehensive training information systems, actively engaging workers in project planning, enforcing OHS monitoring systems, ensuring mandatory PPE usage with penalties for violations, and establishing clear procedures for recording and reporting work accidents. This proactive approach aims to enhance OHS implementation and mitigate risks in construction projects.

Policy action points and approaches to promote fertility care in The Gambia: Findings from a mixed-methods study.

In the Global South, (in)fertility care is scarcely recognized as a priority, yet the government of The Gambia has recently included it as one of the key priorities in its reproductive health strategic plan. This inclusion appears to be the result of years of engagement between policy actors, academic researchers, and activists in the field of reproductive health and specifically of infertility. However, the operationalization of the strategic plan may be hampered by multiple factors. The research aims to identify and analyze challenges that may impede the effective implementation of the strategic plan, thereby providing policy action points and practical guidance into the operationalization of (in)fertility care in the context of The Gambia's health system. This is a mixed-methods study with data from a survey and semi-structured interviews collected between 2020 and 2021 in The Gambia that were separately published. In this paper, we present the triangulation of quantitative and qualitative data using a convergence coding matrix to identify relevant policy action points. Six fertility care policy action points, driven by data, arose from the triangulation and interpretation process, specifically: (i) establishing and maintaining political commitment and national priority for fertility care; (ii) creating awareness and increasing the involvement of men in SRH and fertility; (iii) ensuring data-driven health policymaking; (iv) offering and regulating affordable IVF alternatives; (v) improving knowledge of and means for fertility care provision; and (vi) enhancing the collaboration among stakeholders and building links with the private healthcare sector. This study found the implementation of the fertility care-related activities in the reproductive health strategic plan may face challenges that require careful mitigation through a holistic approach. Such an approach conceptualizes infertility not just as a biomedical issue but as a broader one that incorporates educational and socio-emotional aspects, including male and (not only) female involvement in sexual and reproductive health. Moreover, it is supported by a comprehensive health management information system that includes capturing data on the demand for, and access to, infertility services in The Gambia health system.

Deploying SMS Gateway in the Design and Development of Web and Mobile Academic Information Systems using the Waterfall Method

: The integration of technology in various sectors, beyond its common application in the gaming industry, has extended to the field of education. This evolution mandates parallel progress in academic institutions to keep pace with technological developments. A significant challenge identified was the reliance on manual accounting methods at SMAN 1 Kejobong, which includes teacher management, staff, and assistant administration, as well as processing student learning data. Outdated practices often lead to inaccuracies and inefficiencies, resulting in time-consuming data collection and potential losses for all stakeholders. To overcome this problem, it is proposed to implement a comprehensive information system or e-learning platform. However, the implementation of e-learning in educational institutions often encounters obstacles due to user discomfort or incompatibility with the institution's needs. This study validated all system features through Black box Testing and user satisfaction assessments, resulting in an average satisfaction level of 73.7%. The expected outcome is increased efficiency and accuracy in academic processes and student management, thereby facilitating a more effective learning and teaching environment.

Combining RUSLE model and the vegetation health index to unravel the relationship between soil erosion and droughts in southeastern Tunisia

Droughts and soil erosion are among the most prominent climatic driven hazards in drylands, leading to detrimental environmental impacts, such as degraded lands, deteriorated ecosystem services and biodiversity, and increased greenhouse gas emissions. In response to the current lack of studies combining drought conditions and soil erosion processes, in this study, we developed a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS)-based approach to assess soil erosion and droughts, thereby revealing the relationship between soil erosion and droughts under an arid climate. The vegetation condition index (VCI) and temperature condition index (TCI) derived respectively from the enhanced vegetation index (EVI) MOD13A2 and land surface temperature (LST) MOD11A2 products were combined to generate the vegetation health index (VHI). The VHI has been conceived as an efficient tool to monitor droughts in the Negueb watershed, southeastern Tunisia. The revised universal soil loss equation (RUSLE) model was applied to quantitatively estimate soil erosion. The relationship between soil erosion and droughts was investigated through Pearson correlation. Results exhibited that the Negueb watershed experienced recurrent mild to extreme drought during 2000–2016. The average soil erosion rate was determined to be 1.8 t/(hm2·a). The mountainous western part of the watershed was the most vulnerable not only to soil erosion but also to droughts. The slope length and steepness factor was shown to be the most significant controlling parameter driving soil erosion. The relationship between droughts and soil erosion had a positive correlation (r=0.3); however, the correlation was highly varied spatially across the watershed. Drought was linked to soil erosion in the Negueb watershed. The current study provides insight for natural disaster risk assessment, land managers, and stake-holders to apply appropriate management measures to promote sustainable development goals in fragile environments.

Výsledky z evaluace screeningu kolorektálního karcinomu v České republice

Introduction: Colorectal cancer screening, which was introduced in the Czech Republic in 2000, plays an important role in reducing the population burden. It is necessary to continuously evaluate the organised population-based program and introduce necessary adjustments to ensure its high effectiveness, which in the long term leads to a reduction in the incidence and mortality of the disease. The aim of this article is to summarise and discuss the key results of the evaluation of the National Colorectal Cancer Screening Program based on available national data. Material and methods: The evaluation used the registries of the National Health Information System, the Registry of Preventive Colonoscopies, and data on population demographics managed by the Czech Statistical Office. The analysis was carried out on available data up to 2021. Basic indicators were calculated in accordance with international recommendations, which were adapted for the Czech environment. Results: A number of performance indicators for colorectal screening demonstrate the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Coverage of the target population by screening has stabilised at around 30% before the pandemic. Considering a three-year interval, the full coverage of the target population by screening reaches around 50%. Participation rates for follow-up colonoscopy after a positive faecal occult blood test (FOBT) screening ranged between 60 and 70% over time. FOBT screening positivity increased in the recent years up to 10%, which is reflected in the increase in the average waiting time for follow-up FOBT+ colonoscopy. Despite the identified limitations of the screening program, there has been a clear long-term decline in colorectal cancer incidence and mortality. Conclusion: The comprehensive screening information system enables the evaluation of colorectal screening. The evaluated indicators show that despite the positive impact of the screening program on the population burden, it still has its opportunities for improvement, and therefore it is essential to continue its monitoring in order to improve the quality of the whole program. Comprehensive information management system for a medical research cohort biobank based on quality by design

BackgroundWith the development of big health and big data, cohort research has become a medical research hotspot. As an important repository of human genetic resources, biobanks must adapt to the requirements of large-scale and efficient operation. Thus, biobanks urgently need to design and build a legal, convenient, and efficient information management system.MethodsThis study applies the concept of “quality by design” to build a comprehensive biobank information management system based on the analysis of user requirements, legal and regulatory risks, and industry-standard requirements. The system integrates the management of scientific research projects, biological specimens, clinical information, quality control, and multi-dimensional information query and development. After 10 months of its operation, the comprehensive management system was evaluated through statistical analysis of the efficiency of the construction of the pregnancy–birth cohort and the quality of genetic resources.ResultsSince the system’s launch, the statistics on cohort construction efficiency show that the enrollment rate of eligible pregnant women has increased, and the rate of missing volunteers has dropped. The time needed to establish a 1000-person cohort (with complete biological samples and clinical information in early, middle, and late pregnancy) was reduced, and the effective tracking rate of the samples was 77.42%. The error rate of the deep cryogenic refrigerator decreased, with a clinical information integrity rate of 96.47%.ConclusionsThe comprehensive biobank information management system constructed with the “quality by design” concept is well suited to meet the requirements of medical research. This study provides a solution for designing a comprehensive information system for medical institutions’ biobanks.

The Health Insurance Situation in Iran: A Brief Overview

The financing process of the health system includes the collection, accumulation, and management of financial resources to purchase health services. Sustainable financing of the health system is a core function, which can enable progress towards universal health coverage (UHC). There are multiple funding sources to finance health care services in Iran, including out-of-pocket payment, government funds, general taxation, health insurance, and individual donations. Inefficiency in health insurance systems has led to an increase in out-of-pocket payments, and ultimately catastrophic expenditures. According to the results of the household income-expenditure survey in 2017, about 17% of the population faced catastrophic expenditures by spending more than 10% of their total consumption expenditure on health, and 75% of exposure to catastrophic expenditures (equivalent to 13% of population) was only due to paying out of pocket to receive medical services. (1) According to the health insurance coverage in 2010, about 84% of the total population in Iran was covered by various insurance plans and supplementary health insurance included 20% of the total population. (2) After the recent reforms entitled as the "Health Transformation Plan" launched in 2014, more than 90% of the population was covered by health insurance. However, the services were not fully covered by insurance benefits and only included inpatient health services. In addition, the insurance share was free for patients, which increased moral hazard from patients and induced demand from providers. Finally, this reform plan was stopped due to the instability of resources. Among the disadvantages of this type of insurance, the following can be mentioned: 1. All people could register in this insurance without any limitation. 2. The insurance premium was very small and negligible. So, it was not considered as an insurance because there was not the accumulation of risk, which is one of the main characteristics of any insurance industry. 3. Considering that many people were covered in this type of insurance, the depth and level of service coverage were reduced due to limited resources. In this insurance type, financing was from the government and there was no assessment for individuals; and it was a kind of support fund or support package. So, it was stopped at some point after the health transformation plan. Although Article 10 of the General Insurance Law in Iran refers to determining the scope and medical services and drugs, (3) there are no criteria to evaluate the covered packages. Despite the UHC's goal of increasing the number and variety of services for patients, many services for specific diseases, palliative care, etc. are not covered by the basic insurance. Also, some services such as dental and optometric services are considered a luxury service and are not covered by basic insurance. The lack of resources to provide proper services to the insured people and the impossibility of receiving the services from the private sector using health insurance benefits are other challenges of this type of insurance. Finally, Iran has not been able to achieve UHC due to the lack of proper management capacity in the insurance sector. To realize universal health coverage and improve outcomes, policymakers must consider several demand and supply factors. In this regard, expansion of infrastructure, human resources, and health services can be effective from the supply perspective. Meanwhile, increasing health insurance coverage, expanding health benefits package, and reducing the contribution of people in paying expenses using payment methods with a certain ceiling such as per capita and quality-based payment can be effective from the demand perspective. Also, the existence of comprehensive and transparent information systems, especially the system for identifying vulnerable and low-income groups, can greatly contribute to the successful implementation of UHC. Finally, designing suitable financial and non-financial incentives can also lead to increasing the satisfaction of professionals and health sector employees.

Web-based information systems come in the form of images, text, graphics, and sound. That's why it makes advertising or promotion more attractive. In addition, the web-based ac service information system becomes a comprehensive information system for users or visitors that can be found anywhere. This support is inseparable from the design and technology of the research process. For other media, the success of the media is determined by the success of the well conveyed message. This study aims to design a web-based information system for air conditioning services in Batam city as a source of information to find air conditioning services with other facilities in Batam. Batam City's service system is developed using PHP programming language and data is stored in a database using HeidiSQL to optimize system and database performance. The Google Maps API is one of the features of this information system that can be used to add maps. The result of the design is in the form of a web-based information system for ac services, which is expected to be the means of service delivery and other ac service facilities in Batam city, thus , through this web design, hope that there will be a similar system to create better services. and more comprehensive than existing services. .

Substance Abuse Poisoning Registry development Based on Lessons Learned from a Pilot Implementation

Introduction: Substance abuse has been recognized as a national problem in which poisoning with pharmaceutical drugs, opioids and alcohols is a common problem in Iran. Due to the lack of a comprehensive information system related to Substance abuse, despite the systematic information in health services, and to achieve this goal, the purpose of this research was to develop a registry system for substance abuse poisoning in - Urmia University of Medical Sciences.Material and Methods: This research is a practical development study that was done in 4 phases. In the first phase, minimum data set (MDS) of the system were determined. In the second phase, the registration system was designed. The third phase includes the implementation of the system, and finally, the system was evaluated by QUIS questionnaire.Results: A total of 58 data elements in 6 classes were recognized as essential for this system from the point of view of experts. The system was implemented on the ASP.NET platform using C# language and SQL Server database in the poisoning department of Taleghani Hospital in Urmia. The evaluation of usability of the system showed score obtained in the 6 main categories were in set of terms of the system 8.52, screen 8.36, ability to learn 8.8, overall functionality 8.04, user interface 7.98, and the overall interaction is 7.73 respectively.Conclusion: Considering the capabilities of the system for registering poisonings caused by drug abuse, it seems necessary to implement this system in the form of a national network, in order to make the necessary interventions to control drug abuse while using resources efficiently.
